Title: Yobit scammed his clients - no withdrawal - no support - no nothing
Post by: scammedbyYobit on April 05, 2017, 09:19:53 PM
Hello guys,

i am relative new in crypto. So i wasn´t aware of the warnings regarding yobit exchange.
There are dozens of active coins in "maintenance mode", which means ppl are not able to withdrawal.
Support tickets weren´t answered and there is totally silent from their side.

I´ll hope that someone is able to provide me some details of the owners of yobit. I am firmly determined to take
legal action against the scammers. I am also well connected to some regions in russia where my wifes ancestors
came from.

For helpfull information i am willing to donate some bucks. I am not sure it is worth the effort, but i refuse to accept
this obvious kind of scam.

To all newbies:

Stay away from the Yobit exchange!!!

Hope to hear from someone with helpful informations. I am desperate.............................

The admin of the YoBit exchange is YoBit (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=406594) on here as well, and is reasonably active so you could always contact them.

YoBit is shit but they're legit, I'm 98% sure that you'll get your coins eventually.

A month never goes by without someone complaining about yobit, if they truly are legit then why are they ignoring their clients?

Yobit is indeed in a bad state right now, they should have add more staffs than ignoring their tickets, one report that is great concern is,they are not fixing those coin's wallet in their trading platform,so many traders lose their coins because of the wallet issue,I will not be surprise if traders boycott them.

They have always been terrible in terms of customer service but they could at least get the basics down. Lately it's more like a MtGox situation where everything is going to shit. Maybe their sig spammers brought in enough users that they're about to do a huge exit scam.

It does look like they are going to do an exit scam after they get rid of their useless coins and make a bit more money or get enough usefull currency they can use on their next scam.

I have coins there too. Is there any chance to get them out of "maintenance"? It is not possible to exchange them into another currency, because the rate is far away from a reasonable rate as on Bittrex. That is f******* unsatisfactory. Are there informations upon the owners, addresses, etc.? i would love to "visit" them   >:( >:( >:(

The only thing that you must is just wait for the maintenance to finish tho. Yobit is a huge exchange and loaded with many shitcoins that's why they are loaded with many pending job. They have only few staff. But don't yah worry guys. Yobit always fix their issue even though their site was very poor on graphics. Yobit was a trusted exchanged site for me.  ;D

Comeon yobit has been here for years and they should have saved enough funds to pay more staff and make sure their service always runs smoothly, they are just doing this on purpose.

This is what a user in another forum spread about YoBit, which is unconfirmed, but looks very weird to me. It would be great if the admin of YoBit could enlighten me about this, and if this is actually true.

(Sorry for hijacking your thread)

Fair enough: Everyone with doubts can go to his yobit account, searching for ION coin and click on the withdrawal tab. The wallet is on maintenanance for month now, although there is a active community, well listed at Bittrex with resonable volume. There are no reactions from support the last 4 weeks now. There are dozens of wallets like this. Customers complaining in chat that they are not able to withdrawal. Best case is really really bad customer support. Worst case is going full MGtox..............

Yeah, that's definitely a problem and a bad sign when any business ignores customers' complaints.   But yobit has always come through.   They haven't turned out to be a scam yet, even though people have been accusing them of it since the beginning.   If you're patient, those withdrawals will happen.  Don't know why anyone would want to trade those shitcoins anyway.

Yeah the best thing to do right now is to simply stay away.

There is really nothing you can do to get their support responding to your messages even though you know they are online, as new coins are added every single day on Yobit(actually new shitcoins everyday, lol).

Yobit doesn't even have the most competitive fee schedule. Just use bittrex or polo instead.

I don't think you can get it here,if this is already available people would have posted it here since there were a lot of issues about Yobit in the past, you will have to dig deep or hire people who are good in tracing people and company .

This is one of the aspects from them that I truly despise. The exchange lists pretty much any utter shitcoin, even those that are dead. It is completely unmaintained in that regard.

Yobit support is famous of not such responsive.
I don't understand why that is. If they have trouble keeping up, they should just hire more support staff. You are right regarding the slowness of their support staff, which is something that we've observed in the past.

As far as the OP is concerned, there is really nothing to go on here. I don't plan on tagging the exchange unless I see reasonable proof for each case of scamming.

Our dev team contacted them several month ago without any response. They are hijacking my coins worth 30k $. I wont let them come through with this shit, that's for sure, at all costs. Believe me they will regret f****** with me.......

It has always been with yobit but people kept using that exchange still. I do. I like playing dice there with the coins i get freely as  well.

One thing you can request on their chat is to cancel your withdrawal of an altcoin. That's it and convert it to BTC.

It would be really helpful if you weren't posting in several threads at the same time.

Due to various user complaints in regards to many different altcoins, I have left the exchange a negative trust rating. This rating will remain until these issues are resolved.

You have coins worth $30,000?

How much in $ are you willing to forward after collection?

Estimated equivalent 2.01 BTC?

Lol.......on Yobit the rate is 3.000 sat because of wallet in maintenence. ION is tradeable on Bittrex the rate is 40.000 sat. You do the math. AND you can withdraw from Bittrex because it's a trustworthy exchange and not such a s**** like Yobit.

Why no one from Yobit is answering here? No Admin, No Mods? Surprised!
Above all its a scam accusation against Yobit.

I believe that, not everyone, not everything is 100% perfect. So their customer service is slow.
But I have always received quick response from them..

Do you talked with chat mod "domini" he is always active..

From my beginning I am using Yobit without any issue.
Though it doesn't requires me to withdraw other coins from Yobit. I do only withdraw bitcoin.

Wishing you good luck to settle the issue and recover your money.

You shouldn't be surprised though. The last time that I neg. rated Yobit along with shorena, it took them a while to actually respond (shorena was also contacting them via twitter).

Even many of the critic members often said yobit is a scam site exchange still it continuously stand and many coins applied to their site. which means yobit established community here too. And even there are other coin in there under maintenance still there traders still doing trade to their platform, meaning they comply the needs of their clients anyhow.

You somewhat should be concerned about it. Every time an exchange runs into *mysterious* issues that keep expanding, they usually ended up with a scam (see Mt. Gox, Cryptsy for examples).

I don't think yobit was a scam, it's been a year that this exchange platform being established in this industry. Even many of the critic members often said yobit is a scam site exchange still it continuously stand and many coins applied to their site. which means yobit established community here too.
That means nothing, and you don't know what you're talking about. By not allowing these people for withdrawing for a long time, for whatever reason, Yobit is effectively denying them their rightful money. Therefore, Yobit is also effectively scamming them. Additionally, not providing any response for a prolonged time is a display of high incompetence.

I would not deposit funds to that site just based on their WHOIS.

http://whois.domaintools.com/yobit.net

The domain is registered with a Russian registrar and is using privacy registration. Lots of scam sites follow this pattern. Russian domain registrars are known for ignoring abuse complaints and protecting the domain owners.

With to many complaints,I am slowly moving my coins from Yobit to other more reputable exchange, but it's very tempting to trade on Yobit because they do a lot of pump of coins even dead coins get pump.

Since you're tempted to trade then better atleast be tempted to stay away too on it with all these complaints and still having no answers on their side. Actually some of my friends online was scammed by this site too but since it isn't that high, they didn't do anything unto it. And yeah, all kinds of shitcoins are still being pumped into their sites that makes their site laggy and can't even be load on mobile.
By the way, I suggest moving your coins unto Bittrex or Poloniex for trading purposes only. But always remember to use 2FA factor authentication since I always gets a notification on my email on those sites that my account there are being opened by someone. Until now I haven't putted a 2FA since I don't do trading.

I think most of the people having issues recently are trying to withdraw coins that aren't really being maintained by the developer anymore,
and might need wallet maintenance.

I've never had a problem getting my signature campaign earnings, moving money to Yobit, or withdrawing it.
The site has been working better than Poloniex over the last few days, actually.
If I had any issues with Yobit I would not be promoting them and would be the first to report any issues, trust me.

I'm waiting for the coinonat wallet issue to be fixed and hope so you can fix this issue in another 2 weeks else the coin will lose its value and I won't be able to withdraw it as well. Also, if the wallet is having issues, will these coins not be available to trade on yobit itself or only they can't be withdrawn to another wallet? I have some open trades of CXT and hence asked.

I think its obvious that YOBit is a dying horse. They talk about improvements to the site and how things are better and bedtter, but they cannot fix the existing issues they have. Support tickets that are not responded to, coins that are locked out or put in Maint mode forever... What do you expect people to think?

Want people to stop calling you a scam?

1) Stop making stupid changes to your site till you have addressed the EXISTING problems. Adding 20 markets for the coins is stupid when you cant work with the ones you have.
2) Address your current problems. If you will never fix a coin, or if it is not fixable let people know and close trading for it.
3) When a coin is not fully functional, make it clear. Right now the only way to know if withdrawals are allowed is to buy coins and try it.
4) Hire support staff.
5) Remove outright lies from your FAQ like this:

***** How quickly does the Support Team respond to the request? ↑
Major quantity of responses comes to users within an hour, but sometimes it takes up to 24 hours to send the response. We are working at improvement of Support Team performance.

Till you do this, nothing else you say matters. If my coins were not stuck at your exchange I would have moved on already... as soon as they are available I will do just that.

Because scam coins need a exchange to dump! So the dev can make his money. Then repeat with a new coin!
Pure alt is about to e listed there. The dev is the poster child for a dev that is scamming. i wrote a big article about that.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2328298.0

The price wil tank so hard because the dev will dump and the new customers that buy Pure won't be able to withdraw due to some unforeseen wallet problem. People will dump...

YoBit is shit but they're legit, I'm 98% sure that you'll get your coins eventually.

Well maybe they don't have any choice? But I doubt it as we have many trusted exchanges that only have minimal issues ( still exchanges always have issues ).

Personally, I haven't use yobit as I always heard that it always have a delayed transactions and sometimes transaction never got confirmed but thing came up that I need to use yobit as I'm having hard time in wavesdex but I'm like stuck in the space, my nerves are fighting in my head if I use it or not but my sub conscious mind says NO so I immediately log out my account and didn't sell my coins. Like I'm too afraid to lose my coins, like what I'm trying to say here that we're all responsible in all our actions, like use-that-exchange-at-your-own-risk.

There were warnings everywhere already about sending altcoins to them and having a hard time withdrawing. I have the hardest time trying to make them reply to my inquiries. Send some btc to you account like 0.001 and then chat with them on the troll box. Mods will reply to you there.  That's when you can get a response from them about your ticket. What I can suggest is that let them cancel your withdrawal and then sell your coins for BTC. Withdrawing BTC is no problem with them.

Title: Re: Yobit scammed his clients - no withdrawal - no support - no nothing

Copy/paste from one of the many other Yoshit scam threads:

Why do people continue to use this exchange for trading and storage? Yobit's risky practice of locking accounts and coins is well-documented here. Sending coins to Yobit is playing a risky dice, almost always in favor of the exchange keeping the coins.

For those who ignore the countless scam reports, I can suggest a few charities who accept bitcoins for a good cause. You would be doing this planet a greater favor by donating your coins to them. It's the exact same thing. When you send coins to Yobit's hot wallet you are donating your coins to this exchange.

Agreed. And since OP has confirmed that it's 1.5 BTC it's a huge amount of BTC to be trusting a random exchange in Russia(or is it even located there, now) that has an absolutely dreadful reputation of being consistently the worst place to trade your coins and has consistently the worst customer support out there.

Even though i'm sure you did nothing wrong, you should have been informed on yobit's shady activities.

Their environment basically is completely toxic, the entire exchange relies on pump and dump coins to operate and wallets are in constant maintenance mode. People's money is stuck in every way you can imagine. OP, if you don't get your money back or even if you do, learn your lesson and don't return with a new account.

TBH bitcointalk have allowed this scam exchange to to rip-off forum members for far too long. I have been warning users about this exchange since they scammed me many, many months ago - & I'm not the only one. Over the last few weeks Yoshit have been flooding their thread with fake noob comments from literally hundreds of shill accounts - even posting in Russian, even though it's the English thread, in an effort to hide the hundreds of complaints about them.

It is simply a 100% scam.

It's about time BCT moderators put a stop to Yoshit & their scammy activities by locking their thread for good & not allowing them to advertise on BCT ever again. By doing nothing BCT is actively helping promote this scam - it's got to stop.

@BCT moderators - stop advertising this scam - kill their thread please.
