Title: [FREE] Unlimited Web Hosting
Post by: hellofh on April 06, 2017, 10:14:10 PM
We are pleased to announce our new web hosting platform, FreeHosting.io.

Some of our features are:
- Unlimited Disk Space
- Unlimited Bandwidth
- Email Accounts
- No Ads or Banners on your site
- Free Site.pro Website builder
- Free Support
- And many more...

We include everything a web developer, designer or just a normal user might need to start their own website. What's the catch, you may ask? There's none! Right now we don't have any paid plan you can upgrade to, so we make money off the advertisements on OUR own website.

Feel free to visit us by going to the link below:
https://www.freehosting.io (https://www.freehosting.io)

If you have any questions or issues, feel free to reply to this thread and I will happily assist you  ;D.

The past has shown that services like this are very spotty, at best. The accounts are overloaded with users (due to being "free") which leads to horrible service in most situations, especially with databases. Curious as to how you counter this.

Either the servers are already overloaded, or it is very rapidly going to be heading that way. No free hosting provider gets enough revenue to keep the servers underloaded through optional premium upgrades; simply not enough people will want to upgrade (even less because you offer "unlimited" everything for free already). But it's not even that - apparently, they make money off of ads on their website. I can tell you right away that that won't work.

Two things. First, the link in the OP has a typo in it. Also, I found it interesting that your premium plan is... in progress? http://prntscr.com/ete043

Hi, Ranlo, I'm glad you asked. We have several servers in which we deploy the newly created accounts, this helps a lot since its not a single server the one that's getting overloaded with all the new websites. Also, our automated system automatically supends those websites which are using a lot of server resources (usually they are violating our ToS by installing forum suites like I.P. We have carefully analized our bussiness model and we are sure it's sustainable in the long run :). Thank you for telling me about the link, just fixed it.
About our premium options, yes, they are still in progress. We are currently talking with several other web hosting companies in order to get special deals for our users, shall they wish to upgrade at some point in the future.

That too with unlimited bandwidth..? It's too good to be true. I will guarantee many offers if this is true.

We have carefully analized our bussiness model and we are sure it's sustainable in the long run :).

I'd like to hear it. I'm highly skeptical of how offering free web hosting (and also allowing users to hog as many resources as they'd like) could all be run on ads in the home page.

About our premium options, yes, they are still in progress. We are currently talking with several other web hosting companies in order to get special deals for our users, shall they wish to upgrade at some point in the future.

Upgrade... to what? There are no more features to upgrade to in the first place, if you're offering unlimited web hosting.

How reliable is this?

What is up-time like?

which control panel are you providing?? cpanel ??

Both questions can be answered by trying the hosting out yourself, with a dummy site.

seriously? you want someone to host dummy site to check the uptime ?
it can't be identified in one or two days
it needs to stay up for a while in order to judge anything

its better to ask instead of wasting our time while trying it

Free is very attractive but I am also concerned on the longevity of your service. I can't imagine that after some time of building my sites under your hosting service, you suddenly closed the door due to lack of revenues and spiraling cost of maintaining the service.

Please share here also the road-map you have relative to revenue generation and making the service stable...that would help us whether we avail of this free offer or just let it pass.

As what said above me, when do this free hosting will last? This must be important tho its totally free, unlimited bandwith and unpimited disk space which is too good to be true but you forgot to mention if when do this service will expire in any account who made from this service to run their site/server .

So what is the business model...? Ad revenue basically? And if we aren't doing anything against the ToS we won't be throttled so to speak? Or if you get big that's when you'll be throttled or have to pay?
...that would help us whether we avail of this free offer or just let it pass.

Google translate may suggest avail, but it literally makes no sense in any post on bitcointalk. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

He said if the site is server intensive, it will be blocked (i.e. using forums). The issue with this is that any site can become intensive quite quickly with any amount of users, and even basic ones can use enough resources to cause issues. Seems like this is more geared towards play sites.

Likely not at all. If there is no money there is no liability and lots of bad actors are attracted so your webspace's reputation wouldn't be that great.

I just checked your website https://www.freehosting.io and i found out that it has some great features that some paid webhosting even lack unless you need to pay a higher amount per month, i am just worried about your premium account because you can as well make your company better than sending your client to another company.
Do you support SSL? I cant find that information on your website.

suspend website which start to use a lot of resources? How is this an unlimited offer then? Why don't you put up the package in front page and tell users it is limited and what are the limitations.
Is it fair to suspend accounts once the site becomes a little active?

I have registered with this webhosting company but i am highly disappointed, the hosting is not a professional type that you have access to your cpanel or ftp, you cannot use your own domain name because they compulsory a subdomain name and you do not see the website after creating it.
My expectation is that it shall be like 000webhost or others but it is not.

I tried the hosting service since its unlimited disk space and bandwidth I use to create a OwnCloud server which will give me unlimited cloud storage of my own but the OP say you will be suspend if I use lot of resources so why you going to say UNLIMITED if where limited. Please OP correct me if I'm wrong.
Also want to make my site secure is this possible OP and how? Is SSL cert supported?

Here my website: http://storageme.ga

if this gone means OP suspend it and they trick people by saying unlimited on their offer.

I will still use their hosting and will give everyone a nice review later if I found something more.

I can give 3star as of now as my site is working and response fast as of the moment.

It's easy :)
Just login > select your website cpanel > on cpanel select addon domains > add your domains.
From your domain provider add this two as namesaver ns1.fhio.pw and ns1.fhio.pw
wait for 24hrs to reflect.
remember to upload your script on new domain root folder not on xxx.fhio.pw root folder.

I got bad news on this hosting I created a simple traffic exchange theme website called http://adsme.ga and it was suspended after just 1 day and replace with hosting advertisement from other company(hmm I smell something). I think they use the unlimited of to attract user to register and create a website for them then after it was received lot of viewer they will suspend it and replace with their own advertisement. Clever right :) you thinking that you got the advantage hehehe no they got the advantage on you.

but if they explain why they suspend my site maybe I'm wrong about my conclusion.

My sincere apology for my earlier comments about this hosting company and a big thank you to sabx01 for making the wrong right.
The webhosting sent cpanel details after the registration but you must register with their subdomain name first in other to gain access to the cpanel (Where i got pissed earlier but it is okay) then you can add a new domain name thereafter.
Despite all this, i am still concerns about the rules that can trigger ban or suspension of service because it is not clearly stated.

We do allow FTP connections. You can use the file manager on our control panel or connect via any FTP client on your computer (like FileZilla) using the credentials provided after you create your website.
For security reasons, we don't allow SSH connections unfortunately.

We are using Linux to host our client's websites.

The website associated with "adsme.ga" was suspended because it was hosting a faucet type script. Said scripts are not allowed on our servers because they are prone to get botted a lot and can overwhelm the server.

As for your other website "storageme.ga": it's forbidden to use your website account for file storage/backups. All websites must have regular content. There are lots of other free services that are indeed intended for file storage like Dropbox, Box.net, Google Drive, use those instead.

You can refer to our Terms of Service page, section "Banned Scripts or website types" to see what types of scripts aren't allowed on our servers. Both of the ones you were using are listed in there, by the way.

Correction Adsme.ga is a traffic exchange not faucet (no payment involve) and Storageme.ga is Owncloud script which is part of Softculos script you offer on your cpanel.
DON'T ADVERTISE UNLIMITED TO TRICK PEOPLE. THIS UNLIMITED IS NOT TRUE, just tell the truth you can offer only limited disk and bandwidth and only good for bloging website (maybe).
My conclusion above is still the same. Don't waste your time on this hosting.. they only use your domain to advertise their 3rd party advertisement.

I'm out to review this hosting service.

Yes, they do.
@ OP, i have the plan of hosting my blog on your server for my cpm business however i need to be sure that my website will not be hacked down due to the high traffics from various traffic exchange site and to save my time also.
Do you allow such website? My traffics can be as high as 200,000 hits on a good day.

Friends just stay away from this type of free services.

Worst services with my domain, they provide any kind of support. >:(

Well there it goes. I was also looking for hosting that I may just pay with less than $50 a year. I do found some in webhostingtalk forum but there are also things to look for like how long they have been in the bizniz. If they are just new, they may not have a lot of clients and will soon shutdown being just a reseller.

If there ain't no catch, then its not so good. I would understand why free if they display ads on your site.
