I wouldn't call it exactly fast and smooth but we survived somehow. We can thank scaling issue for all this drama and FUD.
Now when we have some more positive news: Japan BTC adoption and Bitmain block of SegWit because they had ulterior motives.
Also I want to believe that Japan acceptation will cause more than temporary boost, time will tell.

As always long time price prediction is only educated guessing. Personally I think we won't hit $1300 until scaling problems will be over.
But hey its BTC we can have $1500 just because community will be hyped about something.

I think 1200$ bitcoin price is the highest price of bitcoin can reached within this month.
1300$ can be obtain again in the middle of this year. I guess 1100-1200$ is  the playing ground of bitcoin this whole month.

Indeed, i think $1200 is already big for now. It will be hard for the price of bitcoin to increase up to $1300, i'm sure thep price will stay on $1100-$1200 or going down like the last week and increase again. This cycle will kept repeat and continues until november, imo.

Let's see what will happen. For me, I forsee stable days on price ranges 1100$-1200$ until month of Mayarrives and price movements will begin again at the month of May. It might be an upward movement or downward movement. All I can say for certain is that it will be stable this time and will be there for weeks to come before making a move.

not "all" of us are going to do that. may are rarely buying the dips but will mostly buy the big dips and then keep holding long term.
doing the "buy a little, sell a little" needs you to become a day trader and spend a lot of time on exchanges or have a bot. and besides this method is not easy or profitable for everyone. you have to stay always aware of everything and try to stay ahead of the news which is not always possible.

If you base your price predictions solely on what the recent price has been, you'll never earn anything from trading and your speculation will be pointless.  It means that whenever the price goes up a little bit you'll say that Bitcoin is the future, it's going moon, it's the greatest thing ever, and when the price goes down a little bit you'll say it's dead.  Your buying/selling cycle in trading could then be expressed like this:

Bitcoin rises -> Bitcoin is great -> Buy high

Bitcoin falls -> Bitcoin is dying -> Sell low.

You need to be careful with how you think about this.  Your analysis should revolve around news, market reactions to that news, predictions of news and any other factors (such as scaling) which may affect the price.

i don't think so, the new bottom is indeed $1000 now, 900 is a thing of the past, one thing i've noticed is that when the value consolidate two times in a row on the same position, you can be assured that you have a new bottom there

and that what is happening, besides that i think the last dump was only a manipulation to buy back from miners or who is, therefore the value never went below $1000 it was a fake move

I think the last dump price went near $900+ but it got recovered back and that fall was due to fear created by the whale of hard fork and bitcoin unlimited but when every one realized the failure of this the price got increasing and sure in this month we can see another ATH

we are all believing that btc will recover and by that we did see how fast it happen, seeing below 1k $ because of those issue's we did  great job to continue holding and allow the price to recover now we are seeing another rise up and 1,300$ is almost near hopefully we will able to see that before the month end.

All the drama of bitmain/ hard fork/ BU aside, there is a new kind of adoption in process of happening right now and in the 2-6 years in the future are vital, while you guys are happy with your $100-$200 price changes I'm thinking about the situation of the network before and after the next halving.
Bitcoin can't take such hits like threat of a hard fork and chain split and just the news alone hurts the system.

Back on topic now, if transactions per second increases and network effectively process them in timely manner as we'll probably see new users hopefully in millions and above as time goes by price should rise $1400+ towards $2000 only if those holding +100K coins stop selling so cheap.

There is really high chance for BTC to reach 1700$ in april. Money from alts are comming back, looks like all of them including LTC have topped, also we have Jihan BU exposed, that means no hard fork.

It won't go back to 900$ unless something extreme happens. Next strong support is around 1000$ and Resistance will be around 1300$. I'd say 1300$ is very possible in the future but it is always nice to have some cash in case of a surprise mega dump.

The buy high, sell low thing is something that lots of people do.  You may think that the price is low at the moment, and that it will go higher and that you are buying low, but look at the charts!
The price is historically very high at the moment, I mean like it has only been higher for about a month.  

I don't think we will be seeing $300 again anytime soon, but that was when it Bitcoin was cheap and a great buy. Now at near all time highs, it could still be a good buy, but it is far less certain than it was.

Yes the price had dropped to $ 900 in March, but now it has come back above $ 1,000 again. Bitcoin prices are now in $ 1,198, I believe will soon reach $ 1,200 and continued to rise until long. But for the next goal to reach $ 1,300 it still takes time. I do not know when but I think that not in April and maybe the next month.

The price is going back down now at $1192 on preev.

My prediction is that we will hit up to $1250 this April then the price will crash again like what happened last month. I feel like we won't reach $1300 this month but still possible. I saw a post from a user where he showed some pictures where one trader was only using a couple of bitcoins to increase the price of bitcoin.

It all depends on how strong the resistance will be around the $1200 mark. It's not now the price has gone up that the fear around BU causing a hard fork has gone away.

It doesn't take much for the price to fall down again. In order to eliminate all potential obstacles, something must be done to scale Bitcoin. Only then we'll be able to move out of the negativity.

That means there will be a next bullish news in the future and we will see the price will increase again in the future. $1300 looks possible for the bitcoin soon. But let's hope there will no a bad act from the scalability debate and it will give bearish trend for the bitcoin. Massive hype will come to the bitcoin.

From the past 2 years. This year we have not been find big fluctuatations in the price chart and price seems settled in somewhere around 1100$ from past 2 weeks. Even I hope price to touch more than 1200$ and may sell out my savings and turn to cash.
However, speculations will not work always in the btc price chart. We need to wait for some months to know bitcoin value and to reach next peak value.

Yeah that is true after the setback because of hard fork rumors, BTC is finally back on track. The price is still not stable, but then again it never is let's hope that BTC continues to rise and we see yet another ATH soon.

As long as there won’t be a big news, I think the price will go up slowly slowly, nothing huge, there will be some pump and dumps but BTC volume is huge to move that much, maybe some big players might dump it but in the long run it will move up and up inch by inch.

However if anything like BU or Segwit and all that happens again, it will most probably go down again or start another rally. As of now it seems segwit is going to win this race. I guess based on that expectations, right now prices are moving up. hopefully this rally may continue till prices will be testing $1300 or ATH of $1350 too.

there is always going to be some kind of struggle around these round numbers in USD value! it is strange when you really think about it since bitcoin price is not bound to USD or any other currency but this has been happening forever.
sometimes it goes past easily though but there is some hype like the block halving around that speeds it up.

Finally btcoin is taking shape after a huge downfall in march, hopefully in this April it will keep on rising and all the unnecessary thing like BU or hardfork will never happened, I think in april it will stable in 1200$ but wont pass 1250$

This kind of price movement trend really telling us that bitcoin price, no matter how hard it will attempt to pull, will eventually recovered and increase again. We saw this kind of price movement many times. If there's a FUD, there's also a good news that can give a drastically change to an ongoing trend.

Like I said in the past, hug the FUD and don't take it as a reason to think that bitcoin price will decrease much more. Thanks to those FUD activities since we able to buy at cheap price to be consider.

Yes, Because now again bitcoin has started to grow up, may be bitcoin take time, but sure about my speculation, in this year, bitcoin might be cross $1300.

this seems like a great news and it was expected from Japanese but (maybe it is just me) but when i see cointelegraph the first thing my mind tells me based on the history i have seen from this site is: "Click-bait useless article without any facts".
i really hope this is one of the exceptions.

I'm been observing since Japanese news came about accepting bitcoin. And based on my speculation, the news has somewhat push the price of bitcoin to rise up lately. I don't know if you guys have to agree with me, but I think Japanese investors are buying bitcoins lately that has put the bitcoin price to a good level, which is good for the bitcoin economy. I haven't check the trading volume of Japanese exchanges, this is just pure speculation on my end.

Barring any other hiccups, I expect the price to continue correcting upwards steadily back up to the last ATH levels where some will take profits and then continue up from there.

The price is around $1190 up and down but it will cross the value of $1200 within a day or two and after that you are right the number of $1300 will be awaited which is sure to happen as the adoption is increasing and the demand is also increasing and in return the price of it.

Normal happening and flactuation is just playfull for now but theirs a high possibilities that the price will climb back to 1200$ again since bitcoins acceptance aswell as in japan has spreaded for more. So i can't see any scenario that will stop bitcoins to reach it even if theirs BU threat in his ways. But anyways aslong as bitcoin gains healthy movements i can say that we are in good state and still we can earn huge with it.

Bitcoin is quite going strong now, I see it is continuing at its Bull stance, I just hope this run is not another Bull trap like what happened the previous week.  After hitting the ATH, resisted the ETF rejection, but crumbles down due to the joint announcement of several exchange due to the speculation/rumored fork,  I hope this time it is really become stable at $1200+.  There is no doubt as long as no bad press coming $1300  is just a week away.

i hope that too but at the same time it doesn't look like being a trap. there is certainly still some doubt in the market which is making some weak hands and slow down the rise but it doesn't seem to have any kind of tendency to go down.
and "bad press" is always out there, and there is nothing we can do except to accept it and try to mvoe with the flow and take the opportunities if price dipped for example.

A lot of debates going on currently in the bitcoin community about the hard fork. I think that it is best that a decision is made or the hard fork just implemented, instead of having this fighting going on forever.

It's a very good time for bitcoin still, the price has climbed from $1000 a week ago to around $1200 right now.

Interesting news from Japan, but I think Bitcoin would have continued on its way up anyway. BU is losing support, and users and investors are beginning to realize that it is only a matter of time before the scaling issue is resolved.

and the rise is happening but this price since it is a round number is always going to be some sort of mental resistance when people sell above it to fill their short term targets.

I think the Japanese market has a big impact to the current price whether we want to admit it or not. BU has lost support, but don't count them yet they are still around the corner so we just need to be careful about reading FUD here. Scaling issue remains to be seen, I'm just hoping that personalities behind should also remember the user of bitcoin so that they can step aside the politics and let us benefited from their decision about where to go next.

1200 US dollars per bitcoin is probably "sort of" mental resistance, not only for small traders but also for big fishes-sometimes they like to buy on a round numbers, same with FX.

It makes me laugh sometimes that in every thread at the forum (obviously) we can find people who are repeating exactly the same thing: that bitcoin will constantly rise, no matter what.
Even in the event of huge dump they would say that btc needed that to finally go to the skies, so sell all your goods and buy btc, you will be rich in one day.

Bitcoin has received a lot of negative news the beginning of this year and still has stood up pretty well. Considering above all the fear that settled after the rumors of a hard fork seems that at the moment maintains a good health. However, it remains to be seen whether Japan and Bitcaché will be incentives that will trigger its price or if it will remain stable for some time.

The only negative news i could see is the scaling debate which is going on for a very long time and with all the rumours with all the talk about BU and a split have driven the price down because of the uncertainty because most of the major investors are from the financial sector and they might not understand the technical aspect of things and as long as there is uncertainty we wont see a bull run again.

well i admit that can be a possibility but it mostly looks like a coincidence to me. of course the adoption in Japan started a long time ago, the talk about Japanese accepting bitcoin as a payment method has been around for a long time and smart money always gets in at that time not after everybody finds out.
this rise can be mostly because of "come back" in my opinion. come back of all the money that went out to buy at the bottom again, also come back of all the money that went to altcoins that are done pumping now.

With Bitcoin having positive movement in japan after it was announced as method of payment, it seems we can see another boost in price right before the end of April.  I would agree that we Bitcoin price can reach $1,300  as long as there is no bad press or FUD to come out.  I also hope that lots of country will follow Japan on accepting Bitcoin as money.

The sooner we finish with the block size debate and BU stuff, the faster we will reach 1300$ and next All time highs in my opinion. Bitcoin Unlimited hashpower is starting to drop at the moment, If it ever continues, I will be much more optimistic about reaching 1300$ by the end of the month.

We can hit $1250 today and consolidate the price easily today at this rate, we are at $1216.29 bitfinex price as of right now, we can reach the moon by next month. $2000 becomes on sight now since Jihan is screwed after all the stuff that is going on. ASICBOOST scam and now the chinese govt will put a fee on miners (assuming Jihan isnt sponsored by chinese govt which i doubt)

As what we see now the price is stable in $1,200 to $1,225. In this month we can say that "ATH" price can break through in this month. I hope so true that "ATH" would nreak in this month

For now we stand above $1200 and stable, there are no evident reasons for dropping so it wouldn´t be strange if price touches 1250 soon.

I don't think they sponsor for Jihan and putting fees for minings seems fake info. there is no reason with this price rise with this. Price is seems settled in the 1200$ and more now and as everyone saying even I wish to bitcoin to be sky rocket value. This will be happen due to highest rate of adoption on bitcoin and blockchain technology in future months.  

No need to get over-excited here, as there are different waves with different resistance regions out there, so everytime it crosses a range, a new range arises ahead because of this ATH part, and as witnessed always, we have always been dumped. But still, I have faith in price as well as many more good news to come ahead in the near future, so I think that $1300 is not too far if we stand still and hold on with our coins.

the thing is that they are not really analyzing the market, and they don't even want to. they will always post things that they think will get them the most traffic. and it is mostly based on timing. for example now is the time to post positive news about the rise and everyone talking about their predicted price of from $2000 to $10000.

last weeks it was all about what they can say about fork and how bitcoin is dying and price going to hell.
tomorrow it will be some other clickbait!

Now we are staying above $1200 with fluctuatory moves forward and backward. It will be better to experience the goodness as the price stabilization is taking place often. Previous it stabilized around $1180 and gave a price increase. I expect the next stabilty achieved by  $1250 and then move towards $1300.

i believe that this price can stay above $1200 for the time being and it stays stable like this if nothing unpredictable happens. and then when the rise started the distance between $1200 and $1300 will be over in a very short time because of how the market works in times of rise after a dip and a shake out of weak hands.

This month price is much stable as compare with the last month I also believe price would stay stable around $1200 so before end of current month we have chance to achieve this milestone easily. With next push it will go up to $1230 than will continue to keep moving up.

I think we are not going to see 1300 until May or June since we will need new money in order to make that push and reach that price and we will probably need even more good news coming for bitcoin to gives us a rally.

We are on a brink of great shift again. There are rumors that Russia might acknowledge bitcoin as legal currency.

Agree with these points. I doubt we'll see $1300 this month any way. Nothing wrong with that though, consolidating in the $1200's & a bit of sideways action is good, it brings trust & new investors are more likely to buy than when we're in a mad pump & dump & repeat phase.

The growth is fun but marking milestones one day's performance foolish. Long term trends are what we need.

I think it will be hard to hit $1300 on May or June, because the price of bitcoin is kind of weird. If you look at the chart, when the bitcoin's price reach $1210+ the bitcoin price going down suddenly to $1180+ and the price increase again slowly and repeat. I don't know what happen but i think it means the price of bitcoin is stable for now.

As long as we are sitting in the exact same situation, which is scaling related, we won't see the market bahave any different. It's more that people don't know what to do anymore. One day the uncertainties regarding the potential hard fork seems to not play a role anymore for people, and the other day it hits the market with a massive bang, where it results in the dumps that we have seen yesterday. Also, the price may seem stable to you, but it isn't and won't be. I think we'll re-visit lower $1000's within a week or two again, and then bounce up from there. It's a cycle.

It just means that the $1220-$1250 resistance is very, very strong. You need a real positive trigger - like ETF approval or solution to the blocksize debate for these resistance levels to be breached.

And unfortunately for us both of those things are very unlikely in the near future. That cap around 1230 is strong like you said and for now I would just expect sideways or down until those issues are solved. I'm just hoping we find a good solution soon as the price is really being held down by the scaling debate.

Which just means one thing, it won't happen soon. These debates are taking and delaying development for a really long time IMO.

It's kind of obvious that the resistance at that kind of level would be pretty strong and there needed to be a correction.  The Bitcoin price will be moving near sideways at a stalemate between bulls and bears for a month or so I think.

i think anytime can break "ATH" price of bitcoin, its just a weird for now because $1,210-$1,250 have a very strong resistances right, then we just need to wait until $1,250 break and if its break we can see that ATH can fully easy to break anytime. Whales just waiting for it or big investor

Things could always shift around, bitcoin could be accepted one day and then governments realize that bitcoin is  being used by the average person to avoid taxes and the next day bitcoin is banned all over the world, better be safe than sorry.

Why are you being so pessimistic over bitcoins with such statements like "bitcoin is banned"? Even if it does, governments can't stop that average person who is trying to avoid taxes, to not use VPNs which would give access to his coins without any interference of anything, and do you really think that bitcoins would get banned "all over the world"? your IP address is not recorded anywhere and there is no "provable" way to link an IP address to your transactions and your bitcoin.
the only thing the government can to is to close the port that bitcoin client uses (i think it is 8003) in which case the beauty of bitcoin is that you can push your transaction to the bitcoin network via any tool. even a simple website online or post it on reddit or something completely anonymous and ask someone to push it without need of a VPN and for receiving bitcoin you don't need internet at all!

As I’m writing this bitcoin is at 1285 dollars so we are awfully close to reach the 1300 price if we did not already while I was sleeping, so if the trend continues we will reach that amount of money before the month of April ends and that is good news for all of us.

I am always following bitstamp and it is currently trading at $1228.85 levels with the 24hrs high of $1243.88, but I am too very much sure bitcoin will test $1300 in very near future but I believe $1250 to $1270 will act as very big resistance to pull back the rally, let us see who will be the winner.

There is no point for other exchanges to follow Bitfinex's highly inflated exchange rate -- simply because it isn't a legitimate increase. For that reason people shouldn't be excited as it will come down again when things (hopefully for people at Bitfinex) go back to normal. If things move in this pace, Bitfinex's rate will break through the $1400 level in a matter of days, at least within this month.

The price of Bitcoin topped $1300 on Poloniex too. That must be a legitimate price because those are two of the major exchanges. I haven't checked any other exchanges yet but my guess is that they are there or close to it.

I'm not being pessimistic, I’m being realistic, look at the prohibition of alcohol in the United States, alcohol was legal then the government decided to make it illegal and all kind of things happen, crimes, the growth of the mafia and then when the US government went bankrupt they decide to legalize alcohol once again and charge taxes on it, bitcoin could follow the same path that is what I’m saying, bitcoin could be legal one day and at the next it is not, something similar happened to gold as well.

This two market (finex and polo) have really high crypto price compare to other exchange.

I could definitely see that happening. The demand of Bitcoin is rising quite a bit now and the price is rising along with it.

Bitcoin price increases when the demand for it increases, because it has got certain limitations in the bitcoin mining. As regularly more and more people and industrial firms are getting into bitcoin usage the requirement increases causing the price move forward.

1200 is a solid floor, at least as we can hold that floor. At this moment there is not much buy support to hold it. But give it a few weeks and if the price is still here.
A new floor around this price will be established.

Hopefully the BitFinex fiasco would be resolved immediately, as it's threatening the stability.

Let’s hope that is resolved as soon as possible but if it does not then take that as an opportunity sell your coins and then when the price gets very low you can buy more bitcoin for the same amount of money this is a very easy way to multiply your holding in bitcoin.

The situation of Bitfinex is important for its users but I don´t know how much can influence the price of Bitcoin. Anyway it has enough importance in terms of the reputation of exchange platforms in general. In that sense it would be good if everything is solved in a positive way.

I doubt if that will be recovered as soon as possible, becaue all of the decisions are on the bank's hand. So, they can take anything they want to give a punishment for the exchange site.

It's useless if exchanges on your country has exchange rate far below $1300, I believe bitfinex has the highest rate of bitcoin price right now due to fiat withdrawal problem but other exchanges such as OKcoin, coindesk, bitstamp, or coinbase shows bitcoin price within $1226-$1257. On preev may show $1300, but it still because bitfinex and there's no point without other exchanges reach that price as well.

They will surely come up with some sort of solution, but I don't know if it will be enough for people. In order to keep their exchange running properly, they have to find a new bank to cooperate with. If that's not going to happen, then they need to start looking at certain payment services. In this case it will help to a certain extent, but the majority of the people prefer doing business through their bank. Either way, people will still move out of that exchange. It's not for nothing that Bitfinex is the only exchange with a premium in its price.

You also need to take into account the Bitfinex situation if all gets resolved then I don’t see any reason your prediction could be mistaken but if it does not get resolved and it gets worse then we could go back to the eight hundreds or maybe even below that.

I think it will have an impact but I don't have an idea if that will be big at this time or just small.

But whatever it is as long as it is bitcoin related company it will play a role with the price of bitcoin just like what happened last time.

I think the price increase is being slowed down a bit, i think the price of bitcoins will increase in the month of may and we might see that the price of bitcoins would rise upto 1400$ by the end of may .well it may even happen that the price of bitcoins even hit 1300$ by the month of may. Governments don’t need to put any special tax on bitcoin, you must pay your taxes on any wins you make with bitcoin anyway, what they are looking is ways for them to improve the ways they can track your transactions so they can tax you more effectively.

Tracking of every transaction is really a hard thing to do, but if the government take initiation sure they can make it possible and levy taxes based on the transacted volume bitcoin. This will affect the bitcoin users and starts using common fiat, so same as Russia I believe Countries won't track the users. Now we're close to $1280 soon will touch $1300.

Im insanely curious what is going to happen next with bitcoin price, because I do not expect further rises. That level seems way too high for me to have a chance for a even bigger price increase.
I expect something like a small drop until 1150-1200$ just to build it back above 1300$ once again :)

I could agree with such a view, but only if it would go quickly up to 1400-1450$ area.

It is not going to be easy but with the amount of resources the average government has I will not be surprised if they were able to pull of something like that, but as bitcoin moves more money it will become a more pressing need for the governments to be able to do that.

You to think that the price will continue to increase in one straight line? That's not how markets based in supply and demand work. It doesn't take much longer before we see the price reach a point where it will remain more or less stagnant for a good while. Don't forget that we still have to deal with the scaling aspect, that till this day isn't sorted. As long as that isn't the case, it will be very difficult to come even close to the $2000 level.

Already we have crossed $1350, so anytime soon we'll reach $1400 as quoted above. Right now the price increase is quite good and looks promising to reach peak values even if the price falls down.

Bitcoin is not going to be able to break those barriers so easily unless some kind of breakthrough happens, thinking we are going to be able anything close to 3000 at the end of the year is just deceiving ourselves since there does not seem a reason for bitcoin to be able to do so.

The fact that Bitfinex is having reaching +1400$ while other exchange are not at least 50-60$ away makes me think that we are getting close to another Mt.gox scenario, I wouldn't recommend anyone trading on that exchange. In other words, the price is still ~1350$ for me and Bitfinex price is not a standard.

I have a feeling that $2,000 per coin is not that far away. But the rise of Ethereum is frustrating. It is clear that Ether (as well as the other alts such as Litecoin and Ripple) is eating in to Bitcoin's market cap and market share.

I don't think so. Although the fomo of bitcoin will still be increase in the future and $2000 is not impossible in this time. But we are need more bullish news for the bitcoin market to make more traders fear of missing the best moment of bitcoin. Altcoin becomes a hot trend in these days. I wouldn´t take the price in Bitfinex as a reference, it is a particularly high price due to the circumstances that are occurring in that exchange. The average price is maintained around $1325-$1330 which is fine, we will still have to wait to reach 1400 but I think it´s possible to reach that range in a short time.

Bitfinex +$1400 and the Chinese exchanges still -$1200 aren't a reference for sure but their prices are rising and that's the important point

I now think that $1500 is hittable but I have doubt we can do it in the next 30 days. Currently its 1339.11 in bitstamp. To really push it we need another goods new to boost its price to $1500. The price isn't good news driven anymore as was the case years ago. It's the demand that largely makes the price go up, and speculators jump on it as they see that there is good money to be made. Result of that is that the price will go down at some point as speculators will cash out their profits. It's all part of the market. In that regard, realistically, it should settle around the $1200-$1300 mark for a while.

I do agree, we can sit back and relax while bulls are taking care of the price increase of Bitcoin.  I also think if all went well with the ETF reconsideration then it is possible to reach $1500 within that 30 days.  Take note, smart contracts for Bitcoin is coming this June too.  There might be a pre-hype for this news.


Speculation is triggered by news and updates in technology and adoption.  So I do think that price is still driven by news either it is good or bad, just the reaction changes.  We cannot speculate something if we did not know something will happen.  And speculation is what drives the market price of Bitcoin.

I am not too sure from which exchange you are quoting this price but when i checked the price is yet to touch $1400 in the exchanges i am monitoring,it seems the bull run started when the SEC said it will be reviewing the winklevoss ETF and from what i understand the run will continue till the SEC rejects it. ;D I am not sure whether SEC will have a change in view and that too in a couple of months,which is highly unlikely.

We did not have 1400$ price level reached so far, unless you are talking about every single cryptocurrency exchanges, including bitfinex- because that is the only place where it has crossed over this price.
On the other places, the price was slighlty smaller. The all-time high is at 1377$ per bitcoin, which is a really good price if we consider how much bitcoin was worth 10 years ago.

I think that the time when it is so profitable to invest into bitcoin has passed, unless the btc/usd rate will drop below 1300$. I would not recommend buying on such a mountain.
That would make me just lose my money probably, i prefer to stay out of the risk.

It looks like we're already in the $ 1400 amid a mood of euphoria around cryptoworld. We arrived a little earlier than I thought but I think we have arrived well. As things stand it wouldn´t be strange to reach $ 1500 in the next month, anything is possible right now.

Bitstamp reached $1425, which is $100 higher than was the case yesterday. It's insane how the price is being bought up. I am happy that I have done my buying largely well under the $500 level. As we speak -- I have cashed out some profits at $1404 as I think it won't go up much higher for now. Not sure when I will buy back, but there is no need to rush things at this point. I'll keep happily watching the market do its thing.

I'm not looking at Bifinex price because they are at least $100 higher than higher exchanges. The price of bitcoin is quite shocking for me. I didn't realized that it can go this high and touch $1500 soon. But as I have said, I have some emergencies and need money so I have to sell it. But if I have other options, I won't sell and hold on to it as I can.

Welcome to the magic land of bitcoin and you could not find any better investment opportunity than bitcoin which will yield you good enough profits in a very short amount of time and good to see another bull run pretty soon and i hope this is all regards to the recent ETF decision by the SEC and by chance if they approve it,then the price will see another rally which could cross $2000.

Bitfinex should indeed be ignored, or at least receive a $100 haircut in order to take it more or less seriously.

Other than that, if you need to sell, then do so. Current price is being driven to current levels in a very short time (much too fast for my liking), so expect a correction any time soon.

Bifinex prices don't count, the average of the others should be the quoted price.
It seems like there was a quick jump up again, the price doesn't seem like it is going to dump like last time.

I'm never keen to say that this time it is different, but I do think that the base price is much higher now and could peak up to nearer $2000.

Consolidate your profits and sell there is no telling when the bubble is going to burst and the price is going to crash, it is very obvious we are in the middle of a bubble, but be happy with your profits since bitcoin give us the chance to profit like no other financial instrument does.

My experience is that if you are not a full time trader make sure to avoid taking profit and just like many others, enjoy the ride.
Daytraders will make money of this volatility but for the average joe that is very hard to do.

No, the why the prices are rising is also an important point prices in bitfinex are out of line with the market that indicates that something is very wrong with the exchange and while things may end up solving themselves I’m not very positive about that.

My opinion is that bitcoin will probably stay at the current level instead of moving up a lot, stabilize a bit and catch its breath, before taking another jump from $1,400 being the floor to something around $1,500 being the floor.

I would say that $2,000 isn't far away from us. By the end of the year we'll definitely see at least $1,700, and probably will have hit $2,000.

It is oscillating between $1,470 and $1,475 in Bitstamp. May be in an hour or so, we will reach the $1,500 mark. But the resistance is going to be fierce, and much more than what we had at the $1,400 level. If it breaches the $1,500 mark, then a major psychological barrier will get smashed.

I believe that It has something to do with the alts at the moment. The thing is that exchange have ALT/BTC tickers so in order for them to get the alt they are looking for, they should buy bitcoin first and that creates a a high demand and result in a price increase.

The next update too is now broken in several exchange websites. So majority of the exchange websites need to experience the same to record it as the right increase or an average value of the entire exchanges seems to be around $1570 at the moment.

Currently the bitcoin price is in the middle between the $ 1500 and $ 1600 prices. Well, it's not impossible for bitcoin to red the price of $ 1600 in the near future. The current bitcoin price increase is very difficult to predict. So, maybe it will happen in the near future.

Before i was looking in bitfinex then gdax then Bitstamp to take an idea. Back then the prices wasn't too far from each other but now the difference gap can be $100.

We've been in ATH territory for a few weeks now if I'm not mistaken. 1800 is imminent and 2000 is near. It's incredible how high we can go and how much you make when you just HODL. 2000 is where we will likely test our first major resistance, and even if we do fall down there I would be plenty satisfied with the price.

Oh incredibly we are in the $1700, I do not know if we will reach the  $2000 still in those months, in the case of reaching the  $2000 will be very good, although has the embarrassment of transactions are not confirming... I have 2 transactions with more than 12 hours without confirmation

Well we get touch now $1,800 and bitcoin price still rising and rising. Hopefully soon or hopefully this week we can achieved $2000 i'm waiting for it to see. But as of now bitcoin price is just stabled in $1,800 and as of now were on alts party. The we just need to wait until $1800 achieved.

BTC has pulled back from ATH and now retreated back to 1780, almost a $100 loss a coin. Is this just a profit-taking? Or are we entering a scary bear market? We will see.

I remember you started this thread at 1300$ and i told in my mind that he is mad 1500$ will take lot of time, but this actually got escalated really fast. I guess you should now change your goal to 2000$. And by end of this year we can surely expect 3000$ is this growth continues

Why $1900 when you can make your goal into $2000 price ? As we can see the price is getting increased often although it is dropping a bit in a while it still appear that it can recover so quickly . Nobody knows when this huge increase will end but for sure many people are hoping that after reaching $2000 they will start aiming for $3000 .

I would agree with you, $2000 goal shouldn't be hard to achieve before July even if the price dropped to $16xx for the moment. Another buying wave will take effect shortly in my opinion

The price of bitcoin is moving so fast that I always check the price and to my surprise the price keeps increasing so it is no wonder it may be difficult to maintain threads updated or even to keep the discussion updated, because if you don’t see the price of the day you may find that bitcoin move a lot during the time you were asleep.

- If we look at trading chart for bitcoin we can see a straight inclined line with few ocassional correction. This suggest yes whatever goes up must comes down but it is possible for it to stay above initial buttom level for next bull run.  ;)

I initially thought that there will be a correction when we reached the $1500-$1600. But I think this is the correction and some resistance. The bitcoin ETF will acceptance or rejection by SEC will be out today so I think there will be a new correction price that we are going to see. Time to buy bitcoin again.

And the title should be updated to $1,800 $1900 HIT (Next goal is $1,900 $2000)
BTW the price is approximately between $1960-1970 in most exchanges

We're in for a major correction that might last the whole of June. Before August the price will rise again higher.

Of course there'll be a correction, for now I'd sell a little bit when you feel like it and hold the rest. When the correction happens it'll be hard, but nobody knows when. Growth does not seem incredibly healthy and stable, but hey, any rise in price will be welcomed. Or maybe the guys talking about mass adoption were right.

Now it really need an update, price in the title could be larger as 2 000 hit (next goal 2 500).
