On https://bitcoinaverage.com/en/bitcoin-price/btc-to-usd => It shows USD 1416,96 at the moment.

But when I click on

https://bitcoinaverage.com/en/exchanges/gdax/btc-to-gbp => USD 1327,40
https://bitcoinaverage.com/en/exchanges/bitstamp/xrp-to-usd => USD 1390,81

So why is the above price higher then the only 2 exchanges bitcoinaverage has listed?

Not sure anybody takes Finex seriously anymore, but anything is welcome. I reckon if we don't get dumped to oblivion we could get to 1500 by the end of the week. Good stuff, nobody could have predicted this!

I don't think that the bitcoin price in bitfinex is reliable for the moment but I feel it is kinda leading the other exchanges...somehow
Wouldn't also consider the Chinese exchanges as reliable but when its price increases, it is confortant. That's my opinion

I'm not looking at Bifinex price because they are at least $100 higher than higher exchanges. The price of bitcoin is quite shocking for me. I didn't realized that it can go this high and touch $1500 soon. But as I have said, I have some emergencies and need money so I have to sell it. But if I have other options, I won't sell and hold on to it as I can.

Welcome to the magic land of bitcoin and you could not find any better investment opportunity than bitcoin which will yield you good enough profits in a very short amount of time and good to see another bull run pretty soon and i hope this is all regards to the recent ETF decision by the SEC and by chance if they approve it,then the price will see another rally which could cross $2000.

Bitfinex should indeed be ignored, or at least receive a $100 haircut in order to take it more or less seriously.

Other than that, if you need to sell, then do so. Current price is being driven to current levels in a very short time (much too fast for my liking), so expect a correction any time soon.

I personally will continue hodling every satoshi that I have as my long term goal by far isn't met. I will consider cashing out some profits as soon as we hit the $2000 mark. Definitely not before that.

On bitstamp it's $1408(high $1425). price is increasing damn fast, if it's continues this way we're going see $2000 pretty soon.
once bitfinex is functional(usd deposit and withdrawal), the price will go down. what do you guys think? how low the price will go? i think we'll see $1100 again?

Bifinex prices don't count, the average of the others should be the quoted price.
It seems like there was a quick jump up again, the price doesn't seem like it is going to dump like last time.

I'm never keen to say that this time it is different, but I do think that the base price is much higher now and could peak up to nearer $2000.

Exciting times for holders.  I am still not hearing anything about bitcoin in every day life, so the chances to rise more in the future are immense!

Consolidate your profits and sell there is no telling when the bubble is going to burst and the price is going to crash, it is very obvious we are in the middle of a bubble, but be happy with your profits since bitcoin give us the chance to profit like no other financial instrument does.

I wouldn´t take the price in Bitfinex as a reference, it is a particularly high price due to the circumstances that are occurring in that exchange. The average price is maintained around $1325-$1330 which is fine, we will still have to wait to reach 1400 but I think it´s possible to reach that range in a short time.

Bitfinex +$1400 and the Chinese exchanges still -$1200 aren't a reference for sure but their prices are rising and that's the important point

No, the why the prices are rising is also an important point prices in bitfinex are out of line with the market that indicates that something is very wrong with the exchange and while things may end up solving themselves I’m not very positive about that.

How do you suggest to book profits in a bull market when it is hard to get a chance to re enter when you off load your coins,it is really difficult for me to do that and if really think that you could do that i would like to learn that from you,with the run we are having we could reach $1700 before a correction but it all depends upon how the price will face the resistance at $1500.

Well,, as you see the price it recover very fast and smoothly. Down to $900 in March and Going up this Month, we are predicting that $1,300 in this month will achieved because on Japan that want to recognizes bitcoin and i think there's now many markets accepting bitcoin as of payment in japan. Hopefully there's more...

Yes, May has come and so far another very productive month for bitcoin.

My opinion is that bitcoin will probably stay at the current level instead of moving up a lot, stabilize a bit and catch its breath, before taking another jump from $1,400 being the floor to something around $1,500 being the floor.

I would say that $2,000 isn't far away from us. By the end of the year we'll definitely see at least $1,700, and probably will have hit $2,000.

It is oscillating between $1,470 and $1,475 in Bitstamp. May be in an hour or so, we will reach the $1,500 mark. But the resistance is going to be fierce, and much more than what we had at the $1,400 level. If it breaches the $1,500 mark, then a major psychological barrier will get smashed.
