I'll be updating the pool tomorrow evening.  The new wallet compiled successfully.

I'm going to take this opportunity to perform some maintenance.  Expect a few hours of downtime.

15 Blocks after the fork now, the blocks are moving slower now as expected. Is it known if any of the exchanges have updated their wallets and are up and running? I haven't been able to test any out yet.

Nice Ann I love the graphics. Its a good thing I got my hallow a few months ago at a good price. Now it is difficult and you mist wait for someone to sell unless you want to buy st double the rate which is a bad idea. I'm glad about the Ann I hope it brings more attention.

Tried opening my wallet the other day, had to re-sync a few hundred thousand blocks but then got stuck at 1261...will downloading the chain from the mega link fix this?

i am looking into listing it on as many exchanges as i can.

this update was to try to slow the blockchain down, but it didn't work out quite like i wanted.

another update will be coming in about a month to further stabilize things and get the chain moving a little faster.

as far as the coin supply, i was thinking of doing something about that, but i wanted to get all the coding issues out of the way first.

too many coin devs cut off the POW phase without a good way to move the chain in POS only and the chain stalls all the time. I want to have a good plan in place before i do something like that.

you should have been able to continue to sync and normal, but if it keeps getting stuck, then yes, erase everything in the app/ data folder except the conf file and the wallet.dat file and download the chain from the mega link and move those files into the app /data folder. re-start the wallet, and it should sync ok after that.

the coin is doing well at Yobit, got some volume and rising 200% in terms of price, congratulations to the dedicated new dev, hesdeadjim.
through the dev's hardwork, halloween coin will make it's way to remain stable and a lucrative tradable coin.

I invested into this coin :) Looks like a great project. I think it's possible this could hit a few hundred sats! Cannot wait.

Is this project still on? Any updates/changes on roadmaps ? I saw the dev in the trollbox in Yobit couple of days ago. What I see now is the selling order is accumulated and looks shabby that someone needs to push it hard to improve the buying orders. For me, the project is great, but the volume goes down in exchanges.

A SOFT FORK WILL HAPPEN AT BLOCK 910,000 that how I have seen on previous topics, I know its too long on the way to see that happening. But are the repair works pending on the wallet transfers ?

A couple things noticed on the Win GUI, running Win7 Pro SP1 (nothing significant, nothing to do with resolution either...): a) The Wallet window background does not extend low enough, so the "total" text is outside (below) that gray color, and is thus invisible with the dark main window background; b) The display option for displaying addresses in transaction list doesn't seem to work (maybe have to restart?) c) The ability to move the menu bar around doesn't seem useful, possibly a negative because the bottom of the menu item window extends into the main window.

oh yeah. that will be part of the wallet overhaul at the end of summer. i will be asking the community about different layouts and features to add or remove. this update will just focus mainly on getting the retageting system back on track to keep the chain from stalling.

the ecommerce site is turning out to be a bit of a pain. everything out there is so generic and unoriginal lol.

i may just have to go with a regular template for now until i can find something i can customize better.

the delisting at posw does not really bother me so much because it didn't single out halloween as a bad coin but was just a policy change to the site itself.

i actually feel a bit bad for them. i think the exchange was a nice addition, but i think they took on too much too fast and now they are paying for it, as well as a lot of good coin devs.

wallet no working?

There does seem to be a problem. I had to restart the wallet a few times the last two days due to being stuck in out of sync. Today after restarting it won't sync; my last two transactions are listed as "conflicted"; 4 active connections are seen; no attempt being made to sync.

I know it's horrible, only up 400% from April. Who can live like this?

We've only added a couple of votes so far... let's get some more.  It is easy to create a Livecoin account and acquire a vote to use if you aren't already registered there.

sorry for the problems. the retargeting system is the main issue. when the difficulty goes too high, the wallet won't sync until the next block is found. since this is a hybrid wallet, the POS should take over and keep the chain moving during that time, but for some reason it doesn't. I am working with the coder to fix the problem. hopefully an updated wallet will be released soon.

Once the next block is found and the wallet syncs, the conflicted transactions should clear up. if not let me know.

Thanks for explaining that. I noticed everything went back to OK (should have updated my post) after a new block was found. There was about a 6 to 8 hour quiet time.

Everything is fine in the wallet now.

the coin was steady for the past 2 weeks, later a decrease in volume is observed. The coin is now traded in multiple exchanges but only yobit has a good volume. I hope if it comes to livecoin there should be a some changes.

The maximum it reached is about 15 sat in yobit and sudden decrease. I think this coin has a potential but indeed it needs to be faster as many alt coins are booming now and the crypto market is so hot.

If the wallet is syn'ing now and everything looks good, i think a slack can be started to see the potential Hallo community in the market.

they handled the delisting of all the coins so badly i don't even know where to begin lol.

they originally said that all the coins that were not removed would be converted to poswallet coins, then awhile later they sent out emails saying that all coins that were not removed would be burned.

either way they never showed any stats of anything or proof of conversion or burn so there is no way to tell anything.

they stopped answering support tickets at a critical time, and also at the most critical time the head admin, who was the only one who could actually fix stuff apparently decided to go on vacation.

i would not trust that site with anything anymore. even if halloween had not been delisted, i would have requested that they delist it. that's how little i trust them after this fiasco.

that was one of my favorite shows as a kid.

on this coin the indicator is red when staking. if you place your mouse over it, it will tell you the staking information. when i update the wallet i will change the indicator to green.

And of course it's all about the amount of coins you have, and the weight they have.. Keep staking, and you will eventually get one!  Acquire more coins if you want to have more stakes!

i really couldn't say. i have a lot of things that i want to do with this coin that i feel will give it value, and i have explained them throughout

this thread, but that value will ultimately depend on how everyone else feels about those things.

The users determine the value of a coin. all i can do is to do my best and hope everyone is happy with the work and the coin.

I wanted to deposit some halloween coins to Nova exchange. it took 3 hours before it gets to their exchange. my wallet was syncd but to get 10 confirmation took ages.
 it display last block was found 1 hour ago or two hours ago or sometimes 20 min ago.

i have others coins and their wallet takes 10 to 15 min for a deposit.

Is there a problem with the Halloween wallet? or does it need a update?

tha wallet has known issues and they will be fixed when tha new wallet releases.

correct. the issues are being addressed right now.

the main problem is that the block to be mined will have a high difficulty and will take awhile to be solved. the reason that this is a problem is because it stalls the staking as well and it shouldn't.

the staking should keep the chain running even when the mining stalls.

hopefully the work will be done soon.

i've been trying to get the wallet updated but unfortunately all of the reliable coders that i know are swamped with work right now and i have to wait my turn like everyone else.

i haven't seen any problems with yobit lately.

when i first took over the coin i updated the wallet and all the exchanges updated it for free except yobit who had to be paid off as usual.

since then there haven been any problems that i have heard of. what seems to be the issue?

Yobit is the worst exchange ! i cant withdrawl my halloween coins for the last 14 days. they dont response and do nothing.

everytime it gives ; Transfer from the cold storage.  i have sent them multiple request but they dont response .

It has been one week and 2 tickets but no reply. They are known to be very slow to reply unless, well, you could try and find out please. It's over 100K coins.

I am not currently mining this coin but I wanted to take a moment to tell you about what a great pool owner Redni is. I was mining another coin (the great GOPNIK coin) for several hours on precoinsy without any blocks but I was finding them regularly elsewhere. Precoinsy is a NoMP mining pool and apparently there was a conflict with the coin I was mining and NoMP pools. I know this because the same lack of mined blocks situation also happened at another NoMP pool I was mining with. I sent a message to Redni about the dissatisfaction I had with no received blocks. They triple checked and found an error with the coin source which was collecting the blocks but not crediting them to workers. After checking the logs Redni refunded every single coin to those who mined them. There was no reminding or back and forth messages. I did not even ask for a refund but they did the right thing anyway. This is my pool of choice from now on. Hopefully the coin offering list will expand soon.

Is there any active development on this coin?  Surely, with Halloween fast approaching there would be some update to capitalize on this?  I posted about that some months ago and this thread popped up on me.

My wallet is not validating transactions for the last 15 days or so. All transactions are "pending" and if I re-load the blockchain (deleting everything but the wallet.dat) those transactions simply disapear... Any idea on what is going on and how to solve it?

every coin has false positives. this is well known since the begining of crypto.

i have had over 200 wallets on my comp over the last 2 1/2 years and half of them came up with false positives.

i haven't gotten 1 virus yet.

The code for this coin has is finally getting an upgrade.

As soon as it is finished i will compile the wallets and send the code to the exchanges to update their end of it.

i just sent the updated code into coinexchange, nova exchange, and yobit exchange and as far as i know, they are all putting the updates in place unless i hear otherwise.

I sent coins yesterday from Nova to my wallet and they never appeared. I tried checking the block explorer but one cant be reached and the other never gets past searching. The withdraw on Nova says confirmed. What do I do?

Update: I re-synced a wallet from scratch and my transaction from Nova appeared while months of staking became not accepted. I am guessing the wallet forked or split around the time I updated it? Any idea why that might have happened?

My wallet stopped syncing. Last stake was on 11/19/19. Is anybody able to sync or know of any problems with the coin/wallet?

Could be lack of open wallets, I'll try to open and sync mine today.

I've been running a wallet for this coin forever. I supported HesDeadJim and compiled several of his releases. Nodes would probably the best thing for what's left of Halloween coin so I'll launch a few to get things picked up again for Hesdeadjim and hope he get's back.
