i saw DGB in poloniex and its totally umping. too bad i havent bought DGB while its still on 30 sats

It's always been cheap like dogecoin but a small increase of it's price is enough to make you a good profit,but you must buy large amount preferable by millions,Digibyte has over the years is one of the stable crypto currency in the market because they are not a pump and dump coin if you visit their site it will be proven that digibyte is a stable coin.

Wow digibyte is really going up, this is the first time I saw Digibyte to reach 100+ satoshi after  a very long time.  Seems Segwit is really giving this coin a hype.  Well, digibyte deserve the price increase, they had been around for several years now, not a bad thing even heard about them unless I am missing something.  I am seeing a 150+ satoshi Digibyte in the next days.

Segwit doesn't means a big hype for the digibyte itself. I just try to accumulate about the possibility there will be a green candle caused by the segwit's hype. Don't expect a lot about this coin. Remember syscoin is not get a lot from the segwit hype itself.  So, according to the result of sys segwit. Digibyte will noe get a lot of the impact for the segwit activation. More coin will be activating segwit in the future and it makes segwit not being a special thing again.
If you want to get some bucks for the digibyte and buy it before the segwit activation will be recomended. But you will get a lot of risk if there will be no hype for segwit in the future. Your profit depends on the segwit activation itself.

SegWit activation on these small coins is not really a hype material news. and it won't really matter in the long run either. this coin is in the 2 digit satoshi range anyways which means the demand for it is not really high. so in fact we can't really be hopeful for it as we are about litecoin and the effects it can have with addition of lightning network to litecoin.

with that said the price seems to not agree with me much since it has moved up but that can possibly be because it is a small market.

You don't give up on an old coin just keeps kicking,they are very quiet but if you look at how many merchants have adopt digibyte and what are the other usage of Digibyte you'll be surprise,I could compare Digibyte to a sleeping giant in the crypto currency.

what is the meaning behind having segwit for these coins? are they only trying to ride the hype lol? they don't get any benefit from segwit, their amount of transaction is very poor, they think if they add segwit the price will increase, just because you add it, no thanks i don't want to be those investors who falls for this shit

I was wondering why DGB was pumping!

I expect it will fall back to earth when they realize no-one is actually using their segwit facilities.

Digibyte seems like a great oppurtunity even at 100 sats.

When did the segwit switch actually take place?

DGB is a good example of the segwit news hype being bigger than actual segwit activation for altcoins.  None of these altcoins really need segwit anytime soon. Sure there are some benefits, but a lot of them are being overhyped and are still debatable.

Every altcoin has big blocksize. Like litecoin and it does not really need the segwit.

Segwit just to push the price of coin nor hype for coin. The reason some projects are trying to use it as a lure. As you can see DGB is not getting a lot of hype caused by implement segwit. Honestly, It's really annoying to see segwit will being a lure to attract more traders.

What is usefulness segwit for Digibyte? and my answer is nothing.

People tend to forget that segwit has some basic component that would make extra development possible, think about Lightning Network etc.

DGB is very special, I follow this coin, from price 36 satoshi to 100 satoshi, experiencing a rise of 180℅ in 1 month. Pretty good, chances are also what dreamed about dgb will happen, 1000 DGB has the price of 1 BTC, hihi.

Why the DGB price jump so high,I bought on the 55 sat,but sold too early :-[

I just bought some dgb for around 350 sats. Hope it will pump really high this day. My target is 500 sats. Is this possible? I dont want to lose the opportunity. Its dangerous tho. Maybe its a pump and dump. So i hope this worth the risk. I will buy more once DGB breaks 500 sats. The hype really helps. It gains 175% in a day.

I just wonder why digibyte needed segwit activation ? Currently it's all blocks were filled with transactions which are sizing up to 1 MB ? I don't think so. A segwit activation just to attract investors to join with the pump group ? People here are innocent up to those levels ? Very pathetic.

Probably you will never get an answer for your question, because pumps are happening for no reasons but only just to target to trap you down.

DGB is actually a good buy right now because of its cheap price, other coins started that same amount and out of the blue pumped more than anyone expected. So if you guys bought this coin, hold it for a couple of years.

DGB reached 450+ satoshis per piece. Then fall back to 300 satoshis. Do you think the pump is over? I already bought DGB at the price of 300 a piece. Hope it pump again soon. I see a gokd potenti about this coin. I think it could go for 700 sats at the end of the month. My goal is to hold it for a couple of months.

Long term prediction is from 1$ up to 10$. Now we have only 2 cents. recently we seen rise of coins like XRP which is centralize and basically a scam. DGB have multi algo something which is special.

Why did you say that XRP is basically a scam just because it is centralize? I've read a lot of post regarding it and saying that it has a nice future and some even said that XRP is the next ethereum. I wanted to know if your accusation is true because I'm currently investing on it and planning to invest more.

Accusations ? That's fact. Xrp not only is bankers centralised shitcoin but same as fiat and Eth can be produced out of thin air. It's a tool to pump and dump. Value is 0. No one serious will even try to invest because of tech in ripple. They investing because is volatile and can give nice profits in right moments.

Probably the segwit activation of DGB made an impact and resulted in pumping of the coin but I've also read a topic recently regarding DGB to be officially listed as one of the gaming currency like game credit though it has been a topic before that it was tested out for League of Legends.

Now digibyte are in PUMP :)

And why is that? I see it go up a little the next hours before the conference and then at peak most people will dump and digibyte will be stuck in the same price as it was, or maybe a little higher. Depends on the news after the conference, but there are 100+ participants.

DigiByte is open source after all and anyone can begin contributing.

Given the current Geo political climate and attitudes toward blockchain it will take us several weeks to get a foundation up and running 100%. And we may have to do it in two phases.

As mentioned many, many times before we do not control the price of DGB and we are not here for short term pump and dumps.

We are here for long term consistent development. Just look at DigiBytes history over the last 4 years.

So please do not ask us price or speculation questions. We will not respond. 

A word of advice for those new to cryptpcurrencies and the blockchain world. When ever Bitcoin is on a massive bull run, all alt coins tend trend down until BTC stabilizes.

Please take time to properly educate your self on DGB and this industry at large.  There are many risks involved out side all of our control.

Great. Digibyte is a great technology but without solid backers and users its price won't really be at par for now. I wish well that this upcoming re-branding accompanied with aggressive marketing ends up Digibyte to its former glory.

Well lets hope the price skyrockets - at the moment my holding-value looks a little grim :-(

Digibyte is my strongest regret ever. I bought that one around 20 and sold it with double profit. Then it started flying to the moon around 2,000 sats. Crazy.

After winning Citit4ichallenge award on October 2nd, Digibytecoin price has a downtrend until now. I think Digibyte is not a good coin to invest. Maybe we can wait for more information from devs about a partnership with Microsoft, Mastercard or PwC.   

I bought DGB for a price of 600 sats. - That was the time were altcoins are predicted to boom.
Kinda made a mistake on that one since the price now is only 100 sats. I'm still holding on to these coins for a hope that the price will go up but based on the graphs - still no luck.
I hope this will change on 2018

I thought I was the only hoping for this coin to pump back again. Had bought this coin earlier this year at a low price and really though this coin was going to skyrocket but turns out to dump more especially when bitcoins price is soaring high lately. Hopefully it'll fully recover by next year and I do hope there will be new updates with this coin too.
