with any crypto currency there are only two ways of giving and maintaining value to a crypto...
first is good foundation and media coverage along with several other mass effects but as soon as it is listed on the first exchange is the time of truth... and the value is in the community to maintain it or drop it ... but it is the supply and demand that finally decides its pricetag
"this is NOT what is being claimed by this project!!!!

next is a closed source coin and on a proprietary or self owned trading platform of some kind.... home made or not , does not matter, the fact is they will be the only people to maintain records and the source code is private; therefore shutting off the entire community in the equation.
but for this to work there is one last factor! the coin needs value and that is from" self funding" giving it exactly the pricetag requested or required. these funds need to be deposited in a area of safety with regular audits for their safeguards.
obviously all the funds will be under control of one person or upon delegation to others of responsibility within the foundation or structure of the company.
that is also why the ico is futile as the funds are there and counted for 1 by 1!

I think it is not so easy to discuss and clarify everything here.  It a huge project and there must be so many other issues which the one alone do not have permission to discuss here according to the rules and policy of the project. The developer and the all the team may have some mechanism for that to handle the issue of balancing the price with the exchange which the op do want to publish it.

You are right in the sense that this currency is backed by gold but that does not mean that it will go pass bitcoin value. Bitcoin has established itself to a major cryptocurrecny. I will consider onegram to be in the top 100 altcoins in the near future. This is a more realistic approach than just dreaming.

The features like Sharia compliant and gold backing are not common and I am sure you cannot find such stand alone conceptual based altcoin more frequently.

From my understanding these features are more than enough to reach top 50 mark too but it does need continuous marketing because people get attracted only on promotions rather than identifying the real concepts.

1. Why do you regard other crypto's non-sharia compliant? I know that some aren't when they involve interest or the ICO at the beginning.
2. The fees include insurance. As far as I know standard insurance is against sharia.
3. I was shocked to read that you do not require immediate transaction between gold and currencies (cryptos or mainstream).
4. How do you get access to the physical gold? Do you need to pay more fees for this?

Yeah I am also quite interested in what they are going to do to keep improving onegram. This is the first altcoin that I actually have some faith in. Hopefully it actually works out.

Probably the devs are finding themselves busy with ICO preparations and setting up things right for smooth ICO phase. We all need to be patient to get update here as dealing with physical gold is not a simple task. Only governments are capable of doing it without hassle. This new cryptocurrency is really interesting as I was just reading the introduction I was really intrigue on this new cryptocurrency. It is really interesting as Onegram is backed by one gram of gold which the percentage of the price of the gold will not go down meaning that this coin will not go down easily or will not get dumped at the side. As it say's that the downside risk is very low because of the gold and I do think that this new cryptocurrency will sky rocket at the top of the market if this continues and I believe that it will soon no,not soon but at soonest as possible.  :)

Will the ICO price per coin be fixed? I didn't participate much in ICOs in the past so I don't have that enough idea. Since it will start tomorrow, I guess I have to ready my funds.

you missed the point here.Islam expect its followers to earn a hallal (legal as defined in sharia) income. Thats why most muslims do not invest in gambling, liquor, interest related business.Some islamic countries even have Islamic banks also.

Again, why is this the only seriously religious coin?  Why does Islam need everything separate from the world?  How come it's the most extreme with the most amount of stupid rules?  And do you really think catering to the irrationality of fundamentalists is a huge market opportunity in the long term?  The Catholic Church had control of a large amount of people's lives with similar restrictions on banking and gambling etc in the 1200s... but most of the non-Muslim world got religion out of commerce for the most part.  I see that trend continuing with Islam, even though Islam is lagging in regards to time compared to other religions in the world.

If you were smart and inclusive, you would market this as a gold backed coin.  But, by being Muslim-supremacists and calling it a Sharia coin and targeting a market of stupid people, I think you missed an opportunity.  But that's what happens to business ideas with religion as the main tenant- they fail.  Sorry I still think this project will not be a good investment.

Nice idea obviously unlike other project and Initial Coin offering(ICO) starts May 27 on the first day of Ramadan Moon( a glorious month for the Muslim) and continue almost 3 months. New taste, new platform, will be successful in the near future.

Yes that is a longer ICO I saw in my timing on this forum but I think that is a longer ICO because the project is a complicated one. They have extended the period in order to more people to learn about it or maybe they will think that more time will take by a person to understand that project.

This is unique financial concept so need more understanding and explanation, I do not question about ico because there is no deadline until 12,400,786 coins sold, so the roadmap does not seem imposed and still move forward.

This coin has less total coins than most of the alt coins. It makes me more interested in this aside from being governed by Sharia law.

This is good news since this project is just starting any bit of attention is important in order to bring the project closer to success, this is a nice find and one that could help the project grow.

I was asked the same question on their slack. It's around 120 days that means 3 months long duration campaign which started May 27th and according the time period can expect that will end around 20th Sept.

EDIT: Onegram had an issue with their website so in reality, the ICO have been running for next 4 days.

Have they achieved the min cap target and how far are they from max cap?
I hope all coins are sold before ico end date.

I am pleased to see so far a successful ICO and launch of this project. I believe that Crypto currency projects such as this can help make more members of society prosperous as well as creating a more inclusive platform for people of various religious faiths and back rounds to converge in a common goal and that is to live in the Human Dignity bestowed on us by our Creator. If we all spent more time in doing positive actions such as helping to alleviate poverty and generate true wealth for all of the world's citizens we would have a much better place to raise our kinds on. I wish the project great success and will be watching.  :)

And I think there no hope about the social bounty campaign as well their special Facebook programme. Regarding their recent Announcement, All Participants of OneGram.Org campaign will be paid in 7th June except Signature campaign.

They got a high success of their crowdfund for their project and I think they have now noticed that they have advertised enough on the social media that is why they have stopped to advertise on social media and that is why stopped it.

They have already released all the information related to the social media campaign. It is completely closed and whoever participated will be paid for what they have done on the 7th of June. Signature campaign will be paid out on the 10th or 11th of June. Also, make sure you guys post on the bounty thread with your information such as name and Bitcoin address so you can be paid out.

Seems a steady rise in initial coin offering participation. Total deposited as on 30th May: $606,822 | Total deposited as on 07th June: $1,236,470.25
The figures have doubled in one week, but it is steady with around $600,000+ per week. Hoping to see it rise in the next week.

The thread is kind of slow but I think there are several factors that add to that, the ICO is very long that dilutes some of the excitement for some people since there is still time to get into it, second the signature campaign choose a monthly payment instead of weekly so some people give up the campaign after some time because they did not get their payment immediately as they are used to.

There are still another 105 days to watch the ICO is over, I still feel the positive energy from the current onegram development, hopefully the investors are increasing and do not have to wait long time to wait for ICO to finish

You mean you are getting bored to watch for another 105 days before hitting exchanges or what ? The only thing you may do is, spread awareness about OGC and make your friends to invest into this promising project. This may lead to quicker ICO and resulting in listing in exchange also. It will definitely beneficial to you and your friend.

Seems a good idea. I just want to know what is the targeted amount to be raised though ICO.
Because some altcoins do not have any such target amount hence  ICO will continue till the scheduled duration. Anyway, I am already planned to invest and talk to my friends too.

What is going on in this crazy world of cryptocurrencies ? Heard of some countries to launch their national cryptocurrency, now seeing someone launch one in the name of religion. Tomorrow we will have have bible compliant and the Torah compliant or an even older Vedic cryptocoin or perhaps ISIS will launch their own cryptocoin ?

I like the idea, but the name OneGram doesn't seem fitting to the overall project with more gold being continually added to the vault. 1 gram eventually becomes 2 grams, right???

Their is a bounty but i think it is having a problem none of the participant are paid yet and it was promise june 7 but none got paid and majority of the participant got rejected in the final sheet, considering there are three people managing it.

I read something similar from Onegram in bitcointalk forum somewhere.

Yesterday I called Tabarak Investment Bank on the number on their website, and the man that answered was initially sounding unsure of what I was talking about, then said that they were promoting Onegram but definitely did not have $100 million euros of backing from their investors. Sounds like Onegram are exaggerating what is really happening to create hype. Does not necessarily mean that they are not doing what they are saying, however their willingness to twist truths is concerning.

The exchange market is so bad now? Do you have any plan for the market promotion? I mean on which exchanges platforms the tokens will be on sale.

We are against sharia, we are far much against merchants who try to mix religion with marketing the coins. Conversionalists love to corrupt using the sensitive points. A smart Muslim would never believe in such situations.
