Wattage?

***edit- Looks like ~730watts from the video?? ***

Same. Interested if this is legit

the video is no where near the speed they say (look at the screens) 4gh maybe....(from the video)

and it is an APRIL 15th video...thus if the test bed is that slow....and they need money soon...seems scammy as hell

you are gonna need a lot more details and info from the actual main china company imho

so it looks so far to me anyway ...fishy as hell

and pre-ordrer and they need the money FAST ...er yeah right

of course I'd be interested in 1 as well...but really....1 unit at 4gh for 7k? Is what it seems to be able to do now

SCAMMMMMMM !!!!!!!

Even if NOT a scam. 7k on a pre-order of 3 months (all pre-orders I've ever seen are at least one month late..it is how they roll)

well....that alone is kinda sticky

now if they did or had trusted escrow they could move a sh*t load even if the above I said stayed true.

There's speculating and there is gambling...hard to tell the diff lately

AS an example almost got burned by BFL and they had products out for review 6 months before shipping and legit www site
and nice coindesk write ups...but NEVER shippped..till way way late like 10 months plus .....KNC was legit..then took pre-order money and never shipped for 5 months
till their data hall was filled first ..thus knc btc neptune miner was a doorstop with 1/4 roi if lucky in 5 months.

The recent case of Bitmain who yanked back my (and large wholealers like eastshore mining) equip back ..some on the truck to be shipped...so they could mine with it.
That was L3's at the first of the month. Then they took pre-order money and mined them to stop seg witness with the added benifit of all that hash....LTC going up
3x and basically driving difficuly by the time they ship (now) LTC difficulty alone up probably 75%....

So hell if you have an X11 miner that makes more money in 2 months then you could sell it for...why sell it? Bitmain cracked at 4x the price. With this stuff
you would be foolish to sell any of it...makes no sense at current dash x11 profits.

a well traveled road in asic land historically...and that is not even mentioning others like Avalon who sold you equip on pre-order
and sent it to you 3 months later dirty from mining. (Then again at 1 btc a day or more did not hear a lot of complaints from the
customers) :)

lots of flags on this..tell me you got escrow and I will re-think this

Imagine the hash rate spike and diff spike from this.

We have another L3+ in July Scenario here from what it looks like.

Legit or not, $7500 $5000 a pop is a huge risk

I would be down for 1 unit if it can be confirmed as well @5k or less but I am curious to speculations about how high the difficulty would go by adding at least 1TH hashrate to the network.

Well, if someone is gonna check the place that is different. But watch it on the 3 month pre order and the demo does only 4 and they promise 10. We saw what promises get you with bitmain.

I'd hate to prepay 3 months ahead and these folk too have a firmware problem, like bitmains line, and we provide loans for them to mine.

At 5k put me down for 1. Posibbly 2. But s*it has to shake out as legit and competent.

They are gonna have to jump thru some verification hoops indeed

I have just spoken with the manufacturer (not a reseller) for about 30 mins.

they will send us any verification we require and we are organizing someone to view the machine in Beijing tomorrow

they will sign an agreement and hopefully the directors can be personal guarantors for the whole deal.

we have to reach this target by 30th of this month to be in

1 for me if confirmed legit and in some kind of escrow service.

no escrow, its like paying bitmain or baikal or panda

or alpha tech/black arrow/bfl (bye bye btc) :)

My concern is the 3 months....if LTC was to hit 25 bucks plus....the inevitable delays while they mine with the units
we order and then make the units later (knc 5 months on neptune pre-orders...recently bitmain...avalon used to play this game)

avalon/knc/black arrow/bitmain (by by time we get the units...they've pop'd 2x the difficulty or likely more with these machines)

Thus 'our concerns' on this thread...hopefully will get addressed....in some manner on how legit/prudent/honest they are

100 units is gonna be damn near impossible in 2 days lol :) Or has that changed?

Looking a bit better...with 50% down....but are we anywhere near 100 units?...or will they cut us a break due to bitcointalk group buy?
and our 'cheerleader' efforts?

You'd think they'd cut us a break on numbers...just to get the word and hype out, etc, etc

So 100 x 2500 = 250,000 upfront.

needed by april 30th.  And no one has reviewed the model  to see how it works.

Searing has mentioned more then once  this looks like old school asic ripoff.

I have been in the game before Asic's and there are so many red flags here it is amazing.

for 2500 I can have a three card 1080 ti  gpu rig up and running in 2 days.  it would do  around 2000h at zec  and use 650 watts

it will earn 14 usd a day  10 cent power  would be 1.60 a day so it would net 12.40 a day 100 days from now  you would have

1240 back.  and warrantied gear in hand . If you buy into this in 100 days you will need to send 2500 more and if you are lucky have gear in hand.  and it works as advertised.  so you would be out 5000 hoping coin price and diff allow for return of the 5k.

Above is the good case scenario .

This is really high risk.  I smell a BFL or a KNC be carefull.

Now I will be the first to say the other x-11 asic I said don't buy  and I was wrong . So  I could be wrong here.

But I am buying nvidia and mining zec.  My balls have shrunken a bit with age.

Good luck to you all that buy this.

My problem beyond all this is the timeline is too tight as well.

ASSUMING it is legit..you also have the issue of delays..no asic mnfg has EVER delivered less then 1 month late (even KNC)

it's a pre-order

on the other hand....I kinda NEED the 25% off equip depreciation ..it looks this year...thus instead of a 5k risk to me it is a 4k risk
in that even if I get ripped off I can take 25% off taxes paid in revenue...which again ..this year ...raining unicorns is an issue

So man, people are gonna really really have to step up with a review of a protype that does the hash, has more then a 35 day or silly
warranty (the last miners these guys made were more then touchy I heard)

lots of eggs in 1 basket...for 2 frigging days

IF they gave us more time ..and/or did not care about the 100 limit..because they wanted the cheerleading effect of a group buy to push
further product...lots of stuff they could do ..to hold our hands and limit our risk to the usual suspects...of timeline moved on a pre-order.

I took this chance in 2013 and it worked with a knc Jupiter 550gh miner......I took this chance with a knc Titan and got it 6 months late
and it did not ROI for like 1.5years (sheesh...damn they are evil ...unkillable) ...alpha tech scrypt (burnt but got money back)....etc

So hell, if we had more time, if they did not care if we met the limit of 100 after the meeting/review, then the only issue is usual am
I dumb to get a pre-order, will it work, will they deliver on time, what is the warranty like.

I'm stupid to even think of a pre-order after all this time (not a newbie) but if I'm gonna crap shoot...I want the same rules I've had in the past asic gambles.

my 2 satashoi's worth (also drank the bfl kool aid in 2013..got my 8k back by a fluke 1 year plus later....so I speak from a certain expertise on 'stupid pre-orders')

(man that last statement is a bit too true for my ego) :(

edit: the 90 warranty is not all that great either (as I read thru the blurb on this again) :( As an example KNC's 300mh scrypt-pow Titan Firmware did not work the first 2 months of the 3 months
and they stopped any new firmware updates around that 90 day mark to boot...as an example)

We are very close to 50 already.
And I am sure that some of us may add to our purchase numbers. So if we reach 85 than remaining 15 are no big deal.

In for 1 unit, if proven legit.  This seems somewhat too good to be true.

Can this miner be used for different coins in the event of a DASH free fall?

It should work with any X11 coin and not just Dash.  That is a fairly small selection of coins, but there are some more profitable coins in that group.

Sign me up for 1, if proven legit.

May I suggest what was suggested in the Dash forum - have record a video of them mining in a friendly dashboard mine, like coinmine.pl. The one they're using, cybtc.info, is in Chinese, and Google Translate can only go so far...

It'll be great to hear the review of @bittawm for confirmation.

Also, where is it going to be shipped? Can it be shipped to Central America?

I'm not exactly comfortable sending payment for a miner that does not exist to this date or even real proof of it and a working model producing the results that claim. I'd rather just build two more GPU rigs

I would like to, but I would need more time to come up with the full 5k. 2.5k down might be doable if i had a few days to convert funds. (so dont put me down just yet)

Hey, Bittawm would you or another reputable buyer offer partial hosting/ownership. Say If I were able to give $1.5k, we would split profit 33/67% (5/1.5=33.3%)? hoster would get .3% from my 33.3% for overseeing the divvying of profits. Or something along those lines?

Guys terrible news, I spoke to the manufacturer expressing interest and explaining that we were group buying. Things looked promising however they sent me a message a few hours ago.

they have now completely sold out and we will have to wait for retail (which will be available when they're released)

There has been a rumor floating that Baikal has a big honkin miner coming also.  So this may become the new "norm".

my apology, but not understanding your statement or jokes... newbie or veteran accounts on here don't make any difference in the real world, where real people conduct businesses or deals...
like I said, I don't care if anyone interested or not. i'm willing to add anyone to my order because I've grabbed more than I needed.

if your serious just shoot me a PM.. my credentials in life will show you I don't need to scam for nickel and dimes.

I've sent my contact to bittawm to discuss a big purchase through his group buy before he started this groupbuy, he agreed to contact me by my personal contact phone#, which he never did, so veteran account or newbie. makes no difference to me in the real world.

I don't know you Chan, so I prefer to stick to a credible intermediary aka. BITTAWM

If he can vouch for your authenticity and your legit, I'm sure the people who were interested at 5000, would be willing to go up 7.5k

But i'd be down if only BITTAWM, was managing that...

yes understandable. well i'm not selling anything nor am I making on top of this. i'm simply letting people piggy back on my order that want these asics but financially not able to obtain them because of MOQ. this is just something i'm able to do for the community, so why not.

as for credible, my 30 year old company and manufacturing company can speak for my credentials.
like I said, if anyone is serious send me a pm, just talk to me and you can decide.

deadline is coming to a near, for anybody that really want these just shoot me a pm. i'm doin this and taking responsibility because I'm able to.

as for bittawm, he has my personal contact. he never called, WhatsApp msg or answered back my pm when we decided to contact each other and discuss this over the phone. I agreed to purchase a min of 10-15 if he hosted a group buy, before this group buy thread started. that you need to ask him why he didn't since you know him. I wanted to swap whatever knowledge I had so far with manufacturer and resellers, restrictions and terms. I also thought he would've been a great groupbuy host for these asics.

but truthfully, from last baikal group buy it didn't pull through and I had to buy directly from Baikal, and this group buy fell apart.
I find that i'm in a good place being able to secure big orders on my own, maybe money talks in this world. and legendary or veteran don't mean much outside of this forum.

take it for what its worth. I'm just doin this for people that want these and cant get them.

i'm here to stay, and this is where I will be coming to for mining knowledge. really going to be my first time mining anything in 2 weeks from now. i'm a newbie! not no legendary or veteran member on this FORUM.

I really don't mean to be that guy, but when you are sending thousands of dollars to someone (Chan8) I feel it's my duty to simply post my conversation with him.
These private messages were exchanged on bitcointalk between 4/29-4/30. I missed his call, maybe two. I work a full-time job, I am currently on call and was called in on my day off, as well as run a side business (not including mining), just for the record.
The bottom line is you could ask me to buy my product, and then miss my call or two, and I would not send you this style of message.

Simply put my 2c is that this is a representation of his character, just reporting the facts below and nothing more make your own decisions :D

I just hope everyone posts their experiences with this on the forum so everyone gets the benefit of knowing how things went, how well the miners work, and the process.  There is always huge risk with something like this even when dealing directly with a "manufacturer", but it gets even more risky when you add third parties into the mix.  I hope this works out for all those who are participating in this purchase.
