As some of you may know, directbet closed  :-\ Are there no other sportsbooks that offer the service (bet with no account) that they offer? I do have an account on nitro + cloud, but I just enjoyed how easy Directbet was to bet on.

Indeed death of a legend. I guess it has to do with Indian Premier league. 

That is really odd if you consider how popular they are. Direct bet was really good and had good customer service. Maybe they have just made enough money and want to retire. But still they could have left it running. I wonder what the interests they speak of could be.  ???

So the big question now is whether there are other sportsbooks that accept alt coins naturally without converting them back to tokens or BTC. If such sportsbooks exist I would be very grateful if you send me a PM or share them here. Thanks!

The reason could probably be the confirmation of some bets sent to them, many people could sent very low fees and double spent it when they lose, and push it to confirm if it win like the other guy accusing dirrctbet of scamming

I hope there will be the same site like directbet. to be honest, in advance I ever feel afraid about this will happen to directbet, but I'm sure directbet will never closed. But after knowing this news, I feel frustrated. I hope directbet can come back again. :( :'(

I dont think any site can replace the legend Directbet. If you have any doubt about the potential of directbet then look at the polling threads in this forum. Directbet was top for many months, even the top one for the whole last year. Its sad to see them retire, I wish all the good for their future endeavors.

That really shocked me to be honest.

I believed that they were the best bitcoin sportsbook and they rightfully claimed to be. I mean betting with no accounts and completely anonymous bets, that was just plain awesomeness. I did lose a lot using directbet because their betting service was instantaneous but I can't blame them for my stupid actions in the past - it's just illogical. They have paid every time I won something from them with no issues.

Hopefully they can reopen in the future, right now I'd say that the most trustworthy one in the community is nitrogensports, others all have some sort of problem with KYC, one way or another. Hopefully they can reopen.

There's onehash but it's still not close to what directbet offers and if you bet too big the odds will become terrible like from 1.9 to 1.1. They will also take a tiny portion of your bitcoin as fees before they send your payout.

this also the only betting site to use just like directbet we just needed to place our bets and place our receiving address but  i don't think onehash can compare to directbet in terms of support, its really a great business but might be possible that they already got enough and consider to end their business and take good care of other things.

That was completely unexpected from me because I thought that they charged pretty much the highest spreads in the industry, and offered basically the shittiest odds across all the crypto betting platforms and I really thought that they would have had a very good income source and would have wanted to continue the business running for ages before finally closing down.

Does anyone know the actual reason for the closedown? is it because a lack of revenue, trouble with licensing, money laundering accusations etc. or just are the admins bored running the site? I'd like to know the real story behind this...

Oh thats a bad news for directbet users, I cant believe that they will close as I'm sure they are one of the most popular sportsbook here. On other hands, it is a good news for other sportsbooks as they have just lost one competitor.

Is there any explanation why they suddenly closed their site? I believe casino site is really profitable and site like directbet will always get some profit in the end and also they have really good traffic. But why they suddenly closing it? Any information about this? Because I check on their main thread nothing was explained there

This news came as a surprise and a shock but it proofs that nothing last forever.

There is no other place that works like Directbet did. However you can use nitrogen, betbtc.co or bitcoinrush which have good odds and do not require any kyc.

If you were using directbet then privacy is problay one of the reasons that you used it and most of the bitcoin sportbook will require your ID.

I know no one can replace the directbet in my heart. Need you know, I have never had the slightest doubt about the potential of directbet, and I always vote for the directbet in every month without being ordered by directbet.
I really hope directbet can comeback again in the future with a big surprise.

It looks like someone has forced them to close the site otherwise there was need of closing this site. They had a good traffic and also had a good reputation in this forum and many people have trusted this site. With so much of good things, no one will close the site so suddenly. Maybe later they may provide more details for closing this site. People who were using their wallet service should withdraw money ASAP.

If I had to guess I would guess there was some issue with some entity or country pushing them to close. 

Does anyone remember, I think it was called bitbook?  It was really good, and it almost totally disappeared overnight. 

Why you think so? What could be the relation between closure of directbet with IPL matches? I don't think there were much volume on IPL bets there.

Directbet used to be my favorite sportsbook and I am feeling really sad to know that they have stopped accepting bets.  :o

Even there is, it's hard to regained some trust to that kind of site because we are used to used only Directbet as having a unique feature of no registration that's why it called "Direct Bet". No choice but to used now regularly the other famous crypto sportsbooks which have some sort of registration like my secondary sportsbook, NitrogenSports.eu.

Still not know when will I placed my next bet. Directbet you should finish the NBA finals first before leaving us lol.

Other sportsbook surely be happy for their shutdown since it is their time to shine to get more players to their site and im wondering on what site would be the best alternative since i don't see any reliable site that we can play on aside from directbet. From the day of its service coming to an end most other sports book could have started to make more profit than the past days. Because who are all using directbet now choose some other sports book for betting needs. What service they prefer as it's quoted that they are interested into pursuing other activities.

That is what even i was thinking,they were successful and are having a very good time ,providing many offers and free bets and why would they close unless and until someone forces them to close their doors,only the owners could give us a proper answer behind the closing of their site,unless and until you can just speculate about the reason.

i have to says i'm pretty lazy to created account on the sportbooks sites but i think the situations will change from now on i have to created an account on the particular sportbooks for my sport betting and there are some of sportbooks available currently but i have to says directbet still the best if i compare with them however i considering to use nitrogentsports or probably onehash

It is problem for me.There was only two sites supporting horse racing,DirectBet was only one with position bet,my last of 6 bets 5 was placed,so i have lost Maybe i will try platform whan i can bet on services what not accepting my country,cant bet with btc but at least i can fund account from services what accept btc

Wondering, will be there a new site like directbet in the near future? It is a great chance for the new site because most of ex directbet's players will move to the new site. There is nitrogensports which also allows you to bet anonymously but you have to make account unlike directbet there to make any bets. So you have to go through all those usual process of deposits and withdrawals we have in other sportsbook but I found them to have quite good odds and reputation.

Directbet's unique feature of not requiring an account registration in order to place a bet is one of the biggest factor why bettors preferred this gambling site. We will just set everything and then just wait for our winnings directly to our wallet. No risk of putting a balance on the site since withdrawal is instantly delivered the moment the bet were settled.

Now because of this closure, I see no sportsbooking site can taked place. If ever there will be a new sportsbook site with the same feature like on Directbet then it will take time before people trust their direct payment feature but surely gamblers will miss that feature.

Maybe owners of other betting sites will see how good Directbet was for everyone and how much it will be missed so they may try to fill in their shoes. It seems improbable that now they will see that anonymous and direct betting is what user wants, but it's good to think that there is a chance. At least we can expect some battle and slightly improvements in offers between betting sites in order to get as many Directbet players as possible. People will keep on betting like usual.

There are some legit sportsbetting sites out there but none has the same features and offers as directbet had. Very unfortunate, a well-known and trusted site being closed so early!

yes directbet already established their name in terms of online betting no registrations and easy access even the odds is really low but
the process its really bad knowing that they now completely shutdown and nothing we can do.

Guys, there is no need for cries. DirectBet was a good site, with nice feature of fast betting, but it was not the only sportsbook available.
Secondly, odds on DirectBet was probably the worst of all sportsbook, really - there wasn't anything special on DirectBet.

There are still: Nitrogen, CloudBet or even Sportsbet to chose from, services with much better odds or range of bets.

actually i regretted that directbet must close their service but user can't do anything beside look some new sites, thank you direcbet for your service to us from the site open until now. i think site that have a lot of promotion like DB even not really same is Sportsbet.io , even we must sign up first and can't bet directly like what directbet do

Theres no really need to cry but for some they do really love to bet on directbet because of its hassle free features and i agree on what you have said they do have the worst odds comparing to others but which i do like to them is theres no need to showup your identity and deposits/withdrawals are hassle-free. Not only directbet sportsbetting site on the market there are still lots to choose from.

Though there are several gambling website were providing the accessibility to gamble with anonymity nothing can serve as an alternate to directbet. It has got features that can never be available with any other form of gambling website.

Both are good. Even Nitrogen and Bitcoinrush offers you anonymous account, just an email and a password. I wonder why people kept playing only at direct bet when every time you place a bet there you pay the fees while if you keep your coins in the Nitrogen account for example anytime you place a bet you don't pay any fee. In this regard Nitrogen is even better than directbet.

Running a betting site is not easy. DirectBet made probably 500k BTC profit and they are leaving. There is no reason to share the source code of a gold mine.

Well their source code will pretty much expensive if they would share it to another user but seems this one will not come since as directbet stated they doesn't want to sell their site nor planning to do it so they will surely comeback to the gambling scene and maybe they will just surprise us in near future.

Usually I played on nitrogen too besides of directbet. But nowadays nitrogen have some issues which is not fix yet so I would like to warn you not to play there until they fix their issues. But still depends on yourselves. May be this is about poker but if they have issue on poker games, there is still chance to have some issues on their sport betting too

I have two outstanding bets with Directbet that have both won.  Does anyone know if they plan on paying these bets?  I emailed customer service but haven't heard back yet. 

those profit was pretty huge however they are succeed to get a lot of loyal players so I'm not really surprised about their profit but most people still figure out which sportbooks as instead of directbet and i'm really doubt there is a sportbooks had a feature just like them

It means that it is still very safe to play on nitrogensports,  I'm not regular member there but I have never experienced bad things on their sportsbook.

The odds on directbet was horrible, I was a supporter of directbet until I started playing daily and felt that the odds are worst when you compared to other sportsbook. But overall it was a nice site, anonymity and withdrawals are really fast so I don't think you can get any replacement for that right now.

Just as expected on directbets closure then next thing would be nitrogen since I think this site is closely next to directbet and they should really think to make some updates just like on directbet features since they are already closed its not bad to copy some of it. Not sure why people still like directbet. The transaction costs right now is a terrible pain and you can't really win a lot because of it. You have to count the cost of sending money to your betslip. It's inevitable something like this will close, as people will get tired of sending and flooding the memory pools.

Yeah, I just realized and came to know that directbet has already closed shop. I haven't played there, since I really think that transaction fees are too expensive even before. I like how other sites do it, deposit money and keep it there and just bet whatever you want and not deposit on every bet you do.

That feature - you are talking about was something unique and DirectBet was used mostly because of that fast betting/no account functionality.
The whole thread is all about finding similar sportsbook which will offer the same feature when DirectBet will be gone.
We won't have problem with high tx fee once scaling solution will be implemented in near future - probably in the next 5-6 months.

Other gambling site owners can consider that thing since no doubt that is really unique and different to the usual sportsbetting site. Even prior to the growing cryptocurrency gambling industry activity today, there are also no sportsbooking sites like that in fiat world.

Since trust is a main concern, I doubt that a new sportsbooking site that will have the same feature used mostly at first. Maybe if bettors will see that those new gambling site having that feature are having a good advertisement here in the community then they will consider using that site. Their are no further deep reason stated by devs on why they have closed down their site while in the first place bitcoins price is pretty huge right now and they can earn millions by that if they wish to continue their business for this great event happening on bitcoin. But we can't control their minds and its up to them since i think they can afford to lose some millions since they already announce their shutdown and its already occuring.

And wagerr.com is little more new to my sight so i would rather watch for them if they are good to bet on.

I am just betting on that site when my favorite players or team has a game well partially NBA is the most anticipated games that I keep in track especially when it is almost near in the FINALS of this season, and lastly Boxing matches that keeps my attention with the great fighters over boxing, I would certain miss all of it even though it has expensive fees it is alright because I am playing with my extra amount of money.

They have no reason to give but i think they already been success for their business since the price was increase they are satisfied what they had in their business and i think they will plan to make other business not gambling maybe related also in bitcoin..

IIRC there is a site that offers no registration required when placing a bet, not sure about it but that is what i can recall in my memory.

This is a sad news for all of us. I have never thought of this, Directbet is really a good gambling site, it has many advantages that not every betting site has so, directbet allows users to bet without having an account, this is very convenient and is much preferred by users. I still do not understand why Directbet had to shut down while they were developing quite well. I hope they come back soon so that we can continue to accompany them

Every user feels bad of the gambling site closure. It's one step apart from other gambling platform because of the anonymity it provides. Soon can expect some other gambling website coming with the same features and provides the best gambling experience.

I think it really is an end of an era, especially if you got accustomed to the benefits of sites such as Directbet. Easy access? Check. Maintaining Anonymity ? Check. A trustworthy sportsbetting site? Check. You will be missed, Directbet and even though there are other brands out there, you left a really big shoe to fill.

I too liked their site very much and I always use them to bet on cricket matches but I already stopped betting on cricket because I can't find any other alternative to this site. I think it would be quite hard to find another alternative to replace Directbet for me, I really like the live betting features on Directbet which the system allows me to send my Bitcoin to the address that the site generate for me, and even with 0 confirmation, my bets would be confirmed, if I won the bets, Directbet would process my winnings very fast after the minimum confirmation is clear on my deposit.

Everyone sure loves their sites and no one ever think that they suddenly close their site for good. Until now, they have not tell us why they suddenly close their site. But everyone believe that they already get enough money to get out from this gambling industry. So this is their time to step outside and get to enjoy their hardwork until now. Directbet was one of the kind. I don't know about any site where you can place a bet with 0 tx confirmation and without creating account. I think it's maybe good because it means i will have more money in my pocket - just my opinion.

Nitrogen is one of the best sportsbetting site, there is also no tx confirmation but you need to create an account before you proceed in there betting site. Just try it mate you experience the past confirmation of every transaction with good odds in every sports.

Well on directbets absence the nitrogen sports name has been lifted out for now since they are quitely been popular and can be trust to bet on since they have great odds and we can do fast betting transaction on them if we want to bet rushly on the team we wish to follow on.

it is certainly easy to get used to a certain website and never give thought to them closing. but unfortunately even the best have one reason or the other  for radical changes.  when a giant falls it hurt everyone involved. but it is not the end of the world.   it gives way to advancement and improvement!  soon enough there will be the next best thing on the market and the cycle will start all over again!

I guess what he looking is a sports gambling site, as far as I am concerned only directbet.eu provides such services. But actually even though he plays on the site that requires to register first before playing, he does not need to provide his identity for verification.

May be after directbet gone, nitrogen jetwin and cloudbet name will be the one that pop up because most people will go to that site to play. But still I can suggest cloutbet or may be jetwin to bet on their sportbetting. And go nitrogensport to bet on esports.

Agreed there will be an incredible opportunity for established sportsbooks that were not so popular as a result of DirectBet being so dominant. I simply didn't even any other service other than directbet because ti was that good. Customer service was on point, lots of promos, and great odds overall.

Nitrogensports still has the issue i think. Not resolved yet. Cloudbet is probably the number 1 contender right now and i am using them although they have had trouble paying out in the past. Hopefully they seize this opportunity to clear their name and build upon their existing infrustructure and take their site to the next level.

Alternatives are plenty - sportsbet.io, cloudbet, nitrogensports. All 0 confirmations. But none as good

People have provided several suggestions similar to 1xbt, cloudbet and so on as alternatives for directbet gambling website. In reality something getting similar reputation as directbet and providing service similar to it is simply a big thing and only time can give us the answer.

What about NitrogenSports? I never heard about them scamming anyone, not to mention their odds are much, much competitive that DirectBet's ever was.
 
If you want to bet using similar functionality (using only your address) then it might be good idea to wait for Edgeless project to be finally completed.
They have mentioned in their whitepaper that sportbetting service will be one of their main goals.

NitrogenSports is a good sports betting website. I only used directbet before it was closed. and now i am using nitrogensports. I dont say it is as easy as directbet but still it is much better than other sports betting sites available at the moment. You can try it.

That will be best techniques. I try to follow. I love sportsbetting so after directbet cloutbet my first choice. I have pretty knowledge about nitrogensport issue so right now keep an eyes on this site, how much they go.

Again, sorry guys, for my weak knowing of cryptocurrencies, I used to operate with real money, but now is actively investigating cryptocurrency possibilities in gambling area.

Transaction fees are playing around $5-$10 depends on the inputs because of the current bitcoin network congestion. Just imagine how many bettors playing in Directbet.

I missed directbet but there is no shortage in competent and high class competitors:

1) NS, Excluding the absence of live betting regularly, everything else is better than DB
2) Live betting, Excellent odds and almost instant bet settling, The only issue is slow support but you won't need them in 99% of the cases with everything working automatically.

Everyone needs at least a confirmation though, no one is taking bets for new users with 0 confirmations.

Directbet was a casino and sportsbetting site which offer bets without deposit bets because they have option you can withdraw your bets in your wallet directly they close business just because of this most of members missing this site because no other site offering options like this hope this could be helpful for you understanding what is this ;)

As the main benefit of direct bet is that they are offering instant withdrawals.
Which means, that just after you win they auto send the funds to bitcoin address you specified earlier.
Also, Directbet are much more anonymous as you don't need to have an account in order to bet.

It certainky is saddening that it is closed now but there are lots of sportsbooks that has a feature where you can bet with no account as well. One of the sportsbooks I'm using is onehash and you can also bet without accounts and they even do refunds.

Until now Im searching for any alternative to directbet.eu this is my favorite betting site ever since and i hope they will back soon I wonder why there is no alternative just like this website until now.

Depends. If you play mainly on live-betting, then you won't think Nitrogensports is the alternative to Directbet at all.
I am not saying Nitrogensports is not good, but they can be better on the live-betting section.
There is only NBA, NCAA & NHL on their live-betting section, but most sports are on Directbet.

There is no other place that works like Directbet did. However you can use nitrogen or bitcoinrush which have good odds and do not require any kyc. Does anybody know if a DirectBet style casino ever opened up after this one closed? There was never anything like it before, and there isn't now... I guess onehash.com is what you could say an alternate to the site if you are looking for betting without registration. However  I think they only allow bets to a certain limit (not sure tho). 

Yes, Onehash definitely is a great alternative. I mean they do direct sending and receiving so you can consider it a copy of directbet in the payment methods regard, it is definitely healthier option if you ask me but a bit more expensive option, after all when you do off-chain moves you can at least play as much as you want without withdrawing so there is no fee involved but if you do direct from wallet to wallet than you are kind of making it hard for yourself because of all the fee's.

Moreover, if you want to onehash does provide that option, only difference is they just have volatile odds that basically change according to what people play so you are looking at odds that are either better or worse than other places considering they change constantly according to what people bet on.

I don't find anything as an alternate to the directbet gambling website. I feel onehash to be something similar to directbet or has got similar features of directbet. The access that directbet provides is much more user friendly than that of the gambling websites that have things incorporated within their website.

Are you crazy their UI is one of the best out there.

I admire their UI, it's pretty clean and simple.
However, it would entertain more the gamblers if they can improve their odds, I feel it's lower compared to other betting sites.
That's only their weakness so far, but in overall it's a good site that needs improvement.

If you are referring to the sportsbook, there is no deposit as you do not need to deposit at all because you were placing the bets directly. That's not something that can be called as deposit IMO

No alternative to directbet has got into existence after its closure. If directbet was still into usage most of the other sportsbooks with bitcoin acceptance couldn't have gained such a userbase. I was a big fan of directbet, and these days I find onehash to be similar to directbet in terms of features with some form of varied interface. Promotion through some sources will make onehash reach big as people are much in need of similar gambling platforms.

We have similar to directbet which is https://www.onehash.com/ in terms betting procedure. 
But in this one, you cannot bet a huge amount as what I have noticed, I don't see bets which are higher than BTC 0.1.
Maybe only few are participating here.

I have no idea why they closed the business when it was going so well. I used to bet on matches more often when directbet was live. I was so much disappointed upon its closure that for the next six months I did not place a single bet from any other site as no site was even near to directbet class, simplicity and ease of usage.

It was very easy UI to handle for newbies to any gamblers. When directbet was live I did not try the any betting but nowadays I am using the sportsbet every time when the league matches going on.
Now i am been waiting for world cup matches. I hope sportsbet site will be busy on creating betting scripts for special world cup matches this year. Lets everyone rock.

I have just one suspect, related btc price. At a certain points it can be very risky accept a bet in bitcoin well in advance, since price of btc could literally explode in a matter of days and they should even pay the bet in btc ( so they should be able to cover not only the betting value but also the increments itself of btc!)

You will not find anything which is like directbet for World Cup matches.  Sports betting sites like sportsbet.io etc will give us betting opportunity for world cup matches and I don't think any new site will develop for such event. Even if any new site come online, people will not be attracted to new sites due to lot of scams these days.

We all lose the best sites in gambling, Michelle with her crazy promotions and always supports gamblers like us. Closing directbet cause it wants to focus on their new business but what business instructions are not given and directbet doesn't plan to re-open the site for recovery. I honestly really miss the presence of Michelle and Directbet I'm also sure you miss too guys.

Every gambler will be missing it hardly. Till date we've got so many gambling websites with varied access, but in some way directbet kept every user so attached to the website. With them there won't be any issues with the settlement on winning and the live betting is the most impressive thing for which I use directbet during those days. When things change we need to move on finding the alternative.

I too miss directbet, but with the increased time between transaction, high transaction fees and as I realized directbet were offering much lower odds than other sportsbook, I've now got used to to deposit and bet sites. Even directbet were to resurrect now, I won't go back to it.

Yes I still remember how much I've lost from directbet, I was so expecting to profit good if I win the bet, I was rooting for Amanda Rousey but she lose versus Holms. Directbet is just so simple, no heavy graphics and easy to use than the ones that we see today.  I'm still not seeing why it was closed when its been one of the popular betting site.
