People have provided several suggestions similar to 1xbt, cloudbet and so on as alternatives for directbet gambling website. In reality something getting similar reputation as directbet and providing service similar to it is simply a big thing and only time can give us the answer.
What about NitrogenSports? I never heard about them scamming anyone, not to mention their odds are much, much competitive that DirectBet's ever was.

If you want to bet using similar functionality (using only your address) then it might be good idea to wait for Edgeless project to be finally completed.
They have mentioned in their whitepaper that sportbetting service will be one of their main goals.

NitrogenSports is a good sports betting website. I only used directbet before it was closed. and now i am using nitrogensports. I dont say it is as easy as directbet but still it is much better than other sports betting sites available at the moment. You can try it.

Directbet was closed, but many gambling service out there and they are alternative for play gambling
the gamblers must move on to other kinds of gambling games,
i will recomended to play gambling on bitdouble.io, it is more interesting than play sports gambling
because it is original depend on the lucky.

Directbet was one of the kind. I don't know about any site where you can place a bet with 0 tx confirmation and without creating account. I think it's maybe good because it means i will have more money in my pocket - just my opinion.
I won't use sportsbet not cloudbet, what do you guys think about nitrogen? Is it worth of shot?

Nitrogen is one of the best sportsbetting site, there is also no tx confirmation but you need to create an account before you proceed in there betting site. Just try it mate you experience the past confirmation of every transaction with good odds in every sports.

May be after directbet gone, nitrogen jetwin and cloudbet name will be the one that pop up because most people will go to that site to play. But still I can suggest cloutbet or may be jetwin to bet on their sportbetting. And go nitrogensport to bet on esports.

Btw anyone know about nitrogensport issue, did they fix it or not?
That will be best techniques. I try to follow. I love sportsbetting so after directbet cloutbet my first choice. I have pretty knowledge about nitrogensport issue so right now keep an eyes on this site, how much they go.

I understand that it might lack liquidity but using an exchange such as fairlay and not betting against a bookie is the best thing, no middle man

These ratings are outdated and skewed for sure! You must be out of your mind to have Betcoin as A- rated sportsbook and on the contrary have 1xbit as D. I have been betting on 1xbit for over 7 months now and have had the best experience to any other sportsbook on this list. I have tried cloudbet, Nitrogen, Directbet(not there anymore), Betcoin,Lunar,Sportsbet etc. Nothing even comes close to the experience and market you get on 1xbit. It has live streaming of almost all the matches telecasted as well. Join me on 1xbit using my Referral link and check it out for yourself. Thanks Smiley

Betcoin opened in 2013 and 1xbit opened in 2016. Longevity does play a role in the ratings because of the numerous bitcoin sites that have gone under in the first two years.

There have been a lot of problems with 1xbit's sister site 1xbet. There haven't been any problems with Betcoin's sportsbook. Please post all problems with sportsbooks in this thread to keep it updated. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=717790.0 Thanks

So, basically your only criteria to give 1xbit "D" is that its sister site(even though they clearly deny it) is troublesome? and completely disregard the experiences of users for the past 2 years or so? I like your idea of rating sportsbooks but I dont think it is accurate. No offense.

No offense taken. All opinions help. Longevity isn't of much concern after two years but 1xbit hasn't met that yet. Years in business is just one criteria used. Betting limits are slashed for players at 1xbit based on play. All has to be considered.

Rating guides are checked at other sites to sift through as much information as possible. Nitrogen and Betcoin are rated highly at other sites.

Maximum grade based upon time in business:

A - 2 years
B - 1 year
C - 3 months
D - 1 month

You mean the longer the scam last, the higher is your rating?

Your argument is issues, but you ignore the betcoin.ag scam issues?

Hi, guys.

I am a manager of well-established online sportsbook. Currently we do not offer cryptocurrency betting but I am actively researching on creating a separate brand for such functionality. Unfortunately, I didn't have a betting experience on DirectBet. I offered the acquisition of DirectBet to its holder but he (or she) declined this offer. Actually we have all facilities to provide great betting experience except of cryptocurrency transaction flow. So I just wanted to ask some question to recognize if it's profitable and possible to fast implement this missing part:

1. What is the main advantage of DirectBet which is now not presented by competitors?

- is it no-registration betting?
- is it good odds/line for golf (just seen in forum such opinion)?
- is it good odds/line for cricket (just seen in forum such opinion)?
- is it zero-confirmation transaction bet approve?

2. (I am not good in cryptocurrencies so it might be a noobie question). Some users assume that DB closed because of high transaction fees. Is it really high? How much high according to average bet value (say, 500-100$ BTC equivalent) in percents?

3. What is the problem of double spending in betting?
- Why can't it be solved with just waiting for 1 or more confirmation (is it because of fast in-play)?
- If it's impossible (from the user experience perspective) to wait a confirmation isn't it easy to make a clearing a bit later and just reject fraudulent bets?

Again, sorry guys, for my weak knowing of cryptocurrencies, I used to operate with real money, but now is actively investigating cryptocurrency possibilities in gambling area.

The main attraction was their no registration betting option and you could have all the sporting events, their odds were not always the best but they provided multiple alt coins options as well, mainly doge ,litecoin ,ETH and Dash and double spending could be countered by waiting for one confirmation .
Hope you could come up with a sports book that accepts alt coins. Smiley

1. What is the main advantage of DirectBet which is now not presented by competitors?

- is it no-registration betting? - Yes. Placed Bet-Deposit-If won, automatically will received the winnings
- is it good odds/line for golf (just seen in forum such opinion)? - Fair one. Close to the usual given odds.
- is it good odds/line for cricket (just seen in forum such opinion)? - Same above
- is it zero-confirmation transaction bet approve? - Yes.

2. (I am not good in cryptocurrencies so it might be a noobie question). Some users assume that DB closed because of high transaction fees. Is it really high? How much high according to average bet value (say, 500-100$ BTC equivalent) in percents?

Transaction fees are playing around $5-$10 depends on the inputs because of the current bitcoin network congestion. Just imagine how many bettors playing in Directbet.

It's a rare case indeed. Not a big deal somehow.

As some of you may know, directbet closed  Undecided Are there no other sportsbooks that offer the service (bet with no account) that they offer? I do have an account on nitro + cloud, but I just enjoyed how easy Directbet was to bet on.

DirectBet is now closed.

May 21th, 2017

Thanks for betting at DirectBet.

We regret to inform you that we decided to close DirectBet in order to pursue other interests.

DirectBet was a great success and it was our pleasure serving you.

Effective immediately, we will not be accepting new bets.

All confirmed bets stand. They will be settled automatically at the completion of the event, as usual. In addition, our website will remain online in the near future to allow you to check the status of your bets.

If you have coins in your Playing Wallet, please withdraw them now.

We are available via e-mail at support@directbet.eu if you have any questions or need assistance.

Thanks again for choosing to bet with us.

Good Luck !

DirectBet

What the...

That was completely unexpected from me because I thought that they charged pretty much the highest spreads in the industry, and offered basically the shittiest odds across all the crypto betting platforms and I really thought that they would have had a very good income source and would have wanted to continue the business running for ages before finally closing down.

Does anyone know the actual reason for the closedown? is it because a lack of revenue, trouble with licensing, money laundering accusations etc. or just are the admins bored running the site? I'd like to know the real story behind this...

likely the license, they don't state they have a license in their site, also they use cloudflare.

The transaction fee is 5-10$ on 50-100$ is a highest value I've even seen. It's 10%  Sad I don't know why you guys use cryptocurrencies then.  But let us think how we can eliminate this issue. So, first of all, both side have such spendings, right? Bettor while doing a bet and Sportsbook while paying out? So, can we create our own BTC nodes which takes as smallest fees as possible?
