Title: Poloniex Withdrawal / Deposit issues.
Post by: P4ndoraBox on May 22, 2017, 05:22:33 PM
Hi I want to start a thread about recent Withdrawal / Deposit issues at poloniex.

I finally got a ticket answered after 2-3 weeks...But recently, ( one hour ago ) I tried to withdraw some btcs, and I cant receive a confirmation mail. Tried with NXT as well, but no confirmation email is showing.

I asked that in the trollbox, and got banned for one days...Strange.

I noticed as well that some people tried to deposit ETH and their deposit doesnt goes through for more than 8 hours.

I even noticed some ''lost'' transactions from other people in the box.

So I just want to give as well a bit of a warning to not invest what you cant afford to lose, and to carefully read what the other people will have to say when they will answer that post.

Thank you.

I think Poloniex are having problems or difficulty in withdrawing and depositing altcoins. I've tried depositing using BTC's and withdrawing them they actually wen through almost right then and there. Not really sure what's going on there but that seems to be mostly the common problem.

Yup, after an hour or 2 when I clicked resend emails, it worked afterwhile.

Noticed that now polo has around 40k connected users at the same time. Its kinda an enormous amount of people.

They are having major growing pains giving them technical issues, lag and the withdrawal issues you mentioned. Its funny too cause you would think people would rush to other exchanges after so many problems but polo seems to keep growing regardless.

their servers are overloaded and they refuse to upgrade despite the fact that they are making millions each day! and that is the stem of all the problems this exchange has an apparently since none of their users want to leave the platform they always get away with it.

you can search and find a lot of other topics like yours. you can also find a lot more from older days with same problems, this is not new and people keep going back for some reason that i can not understand :\

True that.

The answer is rather simple though... More users = more people investing btc and other currencies = more ways to make profit.

And well...most of all, people in general are acting like sheep and are following the biggest crowd around.

One of the Poloniex admins in the Troll Box told me that transferring from Poloniex directly to another exchange causes a great time delay due to a longer confirmation process. Therefore, it appears that withdrawing to a personal wallet is faster (and worked for me quickly, same day). So, I suggest withdrawing to a personal wallet first and then transferring to another exchange or destination of your choice.

Most of the users in that trollbox are terrible English speakers with get instant rich policies. They're same to an exchange what Government is to public.Delusioned by the opinions which are forced feed.

That is absolute bull shit, block chains don't care where you sending your coins, they are doing this to avoid people going and do arbitrage trading, any coin if listed only on poloniex and not any other exchanges is a centralized coin under their control, remember people for a decentralized cryptocurrency being listed on at least 5 major exchanging services is vital.
So either try to use other sites or stop being a bitch of polo.

But in my friend they withdraw first in BTC but it say that waiting approval, then they rried again to withdraw but it says again waiting for approval. Then after it they tried to withdraw in POT but in the fact it says again waiting for approval. And they submit two tickets but in the meantime it tooks a week after it resolves

I have not experienced anything like this. But if this is true then this will be great news. Some time again it seems this issue could be a negative impact for bitcoin prices. This is not a good thing.

I have heard of users having to wait about 1 day to withdraw their coins, but no real problems or blocked withdrawals. I haven't tried yet, but since the loan rates are low right now, I think I will try to withdraw, and then deposit again when they are good.

It is a long delay with most of the exchanges now,i did have issues with polo and liqui in the past week and it took a couple of days to settle things up and the hard part is to get someone from support to actually acknowledge the ticket in time. The waiting time is really consuming my time and i had to halt my trading for the past few weeks because of that.

Well it's a forum, so muchs topics and instead of researching for 5 hours something that could fit what I think is way simpler to start a topic about it, ''again''.

Poloniex transfers are a PAIN. I've never actually had one sit for more than 24 hours, though. I know a lot of people have been waiting for days in some cases. They seem to have stuff together until the next DDOS. I can't stand them, but they're my favorite trading platform.

If poloniex is a scammer exchangers then we are all in problem because most of traders has account with poloniex. I have withdrawn my coins several times and to me I can't classified them as a scamming sites.

I made many withdrawals sometime ago, but these days many of people and i can not withdraw money. We are waiting for weeks, support is not working. There are hundreds of people write chatbox about this issue but moderators are banning them.

If Poloniex is not SCAM, why they dont give people's money ?

Support is not solving the tickets. Moderators always say to users "please be patient".

Never face that so long time deposit problem so far , delayed due technical problem for 1 or 2 days maybe okay.
But 16 days !! are you kidding me? It should be a serious problem , it is indeed since yesterday they have a problem about deposit and withdrawal proccess.
Because there is super large volume and a lot of request made at once! Can you beleieve it? How can they handle it until causing some lag and these deposit/withdrawal issue, they are growing too fast and the dev did not anticipate about it!

That seems like the standard practice for their support crew. If I remember correctly there is already a class action going on against poloniex. It's definitely not a good idea if you are a trader to start using them now or expect your coins to be scammed..

Think Mt Gox and crypts, both were the number one crypto or altcoins exchange that everyone thought was going to never fail. Poloniex is in an extremely similar situation.

I don't give a fuck how good they used to be, at least now they just looks like a scam to me.

I don't care they're facing serious growth or what, if so, stop accepting new members, stop accepting new deposit,
process all the withdrawal before they re-open these! Traffic control please??!!!

You can follow from the Chatbox on poloniex or you can search on twitter "poloniex withdrawal" or "poloniex deposit", there are hundreds of people coins missing.

There is no any support, they are not giving our coins back for the weeks. I don't care about their technical problems, i don't believe that. Coins prices become too high and poloniex doesn't want to give people their coins now.

There can't be an unsolvable technical problem FOR WEEKS i think, i made withdrawals before but now THEY TURNED TO SCAM

STAY AWAY FROM POLONIEX

i think poloniex have a bad support system because i think we all here have the same problem with poloniex but it seems poloniex don't want or not already yet fixed the problem itself so members will need to wait for more than 3 days. but i hope that poloniex is not going to be scam like mt.gox because there are too many traders capital that is on poloniex and if this is happen, i can not imagine what will be happen with bitcoin industry and people will not trusted bitcoin anymore.

Depend which coins.

Cryptonotes coins had an exploit that some hackers could create a duplicata of a coin. Guess they could have done that, sell on polo, rince n repeat.

Ref : https://getmonero.org/2017/05/17/disclosure-of-a-major-bug-in-cryptonote-based-currencies.html

From one side, I think Poloniex did protect their exchanges the day they new that that exploits could bring many cryptonotes altcoins holder to ashes.

From the other side of the medal, I understand the frustration of not be able to trade their coins when you see a inhouse price inflation.

Got a recent news that lisk wallets has been disabled as well, thought I dont know about any news that could compromise lisk holders or whatsoever. Any links ?

Since I applied for a level 2 verification at Poloniex, everything got worse. And it took about 4 weeks till I got thru.

For verification, send them only high quality scans and pictures, and be precise as possible. An external agent, who does not care about you, because you're not his customer, is approving your application, or not!

I lost some BTC during that time because of limited access...

Since I got level 2, deposits and withdrawals go quick and smooth, except of those who are under maintenance.

During the process I picked up something like "specific restrictions" from support. Ask them for your "spec. Restr.", that will explain a lot of troubles you experienced recently.

Is Poloniex going the Mt.GOX way?
I hope not. But I remember when Cryptsy crashed. It was during the best time, everything was up, you had more choices then you could manage. It was a "BIG TIME".
About 3 months before the crash of Cryptsy, some usual guys said, Cryptsy is broken. These posts added up over time, till it was too late ...

I'm expirienced, I got my first btc at 46.-$, so I have most of my coins in local wallets. You never know ...

I logged in polo a few weeks ago and i was about to deposit come bitcoins into my account.

I was frustrated because i wasn't able to click the goddamn deposit button under btc section. I checked the other coins and all of them were working fine but not fucking bitcoin.

At that moment, i ctrl+w'ed my tab and never looked back.

Buggy exchange, don't recommend using them.

My withdrawal status is "Awaiting Approval" has been five days I have not received any response on my trollbox ticket and the status (awaiting approval) only occurs on BTC withdrawal. Problems with ETC/ETH deposits and withdrals aren't related with polo.

Network is completely trashed out. Stress is through the roof and they're probably under some spam attack.
So polo isn't responsible here, they sent the money but network is stucked that's all.

Wait a few hours/days or stop using altcoins ^^
