When exactly is the best time to buy Cryptocoins very cheap? Is it during their Crowdsale or immediately they launch on exchanges?
I bought some Siacoin few days ago at 330 satoshi but  heard some people say they bought it at 7satochi and am wondering where they bought it that cheap. Could it be during their Crowdsale? Is it possible to buy during crowdsale? if yes, how?

During the ico is usually the cheapest if the project has a good team.  There are many coins that have never dropped below the ico price.

Interesting info bro. Never thought buying during ICO was possible. Wonder how this can be done SAFELY  and whether the coin price fluctuate during ICO

- Buy on early days or hours of ICO because they used to have huge bonus for early birds.
- Not immediately after launch, wait for few hours till weak hands sell out there holdings. But you may not see this in successful projects.
- When those ICO pays out bounty reward, at this time most of those bounty hunters dump their reward so you get best price to buy them.

Comparatively you will be getting cheaper coins by supporting new projects. You can support any new altcoin project by participating with their translations/campaigns. There are many projects which are giving away free giveaways based on some criteria. You may make use of them.

As per new trend, new altcoin projects are not focusing on giving discounts on initial days of ICOs. Hence probably we will be having chances to buy cheaper only in the initial days of listing in exchanges.

But if you closely look into market movements of newly listed altcoins, you will be getting an idea of buying after dumps. But it is not happening with every coins.

IMO, it is never a good idea to buy alts. For bitcoin I look for a bubble then keep a bid about 25% lower. Then I hope.

I would say the first couple of hours that it hits the exchange. Time and time again that I've seen or been involved with an ICO it always trades below ICO price in the first hours. This may not be the case for every single project out there but that's just how I've seen it. I usually buy in early to get any bonus or discounts as I don't have the stomach to think it'll drop once it goes live..

Good time is during their Crowdsale. How it's done? Refer to their instructions. If you are planning to continue play with that coin after it was placed on exchange then wait for big dump after the big pump and take note of that low and analyze the trend if it will regained it's ATH.

You know I can't actually say it's a best time since that is the challenge here in altcoin trading. If we knows when is the best then we are a perfect trader but it's not. Just keep focus on every risk you will take so that you can earn good in the long run doing altcoin trades.

Buying at crowdsale s much better because as when a coin start their crowdsale then it has a fixed price and in that time period you will notice that how is that coin going as you will have interest in that and after launching at exchange you will then look at the movement of the price these both things will help you in taking the action of holding or sell at right time.

I think the best time to buy crypto is during the ICO because if you wait to list to the exchanges site they have possible the price to increase. In ICO the price is cheap and after ICO the price will possible to increase if they listed to the exchanges site. In ICO also you can get discount, reward if the ICO end successful. The best time to buy cheap coins is when at ICO, when they just announced want to launched the coin, but buying coin at ICO is very risky, you still haven't know the coin or see any project or know the coin developer, so it is still unsure whether the coin is legit or not, don't get excited of the cheap price and then you end up being scammed, usually I buy alt coin when it already registered on exchanger, the price is a bit high but it is safer

The best time to buy cheap altcoins is when bitcoin price is up and when a coin is just released on an exchange after an ICO. Typically when there are some campaigns launched here many bounty hunters dump at the first weeks after a certain altcoin has been added to an exchange so therefore the first weeks of a coin's release after an ICO is sometimes the best time, not when bitcoin price is up.

Cheap is really a subjective thing, on ETH someone admits 0.05 is cheap to buy and even 0.07 is cheap as well so it just depend with your own financial and how much you could buy with your money. Invest in ICO on early stages for bonus might a good idea to get more coins.

With this bonus, you can get lots of benefit when they get listed on exchange later.

If you are planning to buy alt coins then I guess buying at the time of ICO or panic selling is the best period to grab good quantity at lower levels. However, you have to be extremely careful while choosing the ICO to pick as most of the ICOs end up with a loss or as a scam. In some cases you might get multi fold returns but the risk associated with it is also very high as compared to that of other options.

It's better to read some news as of now since we saw rhe corection in the price of inflated altcoins and bitcoin as it volatiles. However, it's better to buy now where in it's cheap due to volitality but it may dump again, no one knows. Trade at your own risk.

Everytime there is a dip/volitality occured, that's the best time to buy cheap coins.

Basd on my ow understanding it is much better to buy cheap coins if bitcoins price is quite high by that way you could earn a lot of coins. And the other way is buy cheap coins when its is on dump stage and by that way also you could get a lot of it.

Problem is the market right now is becoming unstable and we do not know what is the real dip. Bitcoin is going to launch SegWit soon and alts went down hard. Now bitcoin drops but all alts still dropping. I think we will experience this until bitcoin's segwit is finished.

There are two way to buy coins at cheaper price! One of the way is buying bitcoin at crowdsale or during ICO, if you want to get information on new ICO then visit announcement(altcoin). there you see many new project that will soon be seeing on exchangers platform. The second face of a new coin is also important, that is what happened after crowdsale! You always see a coin's price double the first three days, it was listed on exchangers platform especially on poloniex. The best time to me is to buy altcoins the first week is being listed at poloniex or other big exchangers as you can buy into a project as crowdsale and it will not being list and loss your investment.

Never buy any coin during ICO or crowdsale. The devs always keep the price higher and most likely you will not get any profit when the coin is listed in the market. So it is better to take wait and watch strategy. If you like any coin, then wait till it reaches the exchanges. Once it is listed, keep a constant look at its price for at least few days.

Make average of those many day's price and wait for the average price to come. Also keep a track of the trading activities. If you see a lot of trading happening, then go ahead and buy it in market price. If you don't see much activity, then reconsider your decision to invest in that coin.

I think today is the best time to buy bitcoin and altcoins. As you will notice, all exchanges are almost in red and it seems its in profit taking. In the coming days, I think it will go up again and trading is active.

If you're planning to buy and hold then the right time to buy is the early days of crowdsale. If your plan is to profit through the same in a short term then go through the white paper understand the project and invest. Else buy once after getting listed to the exchanges, so that you can buy/sell and make a profit on close observation of the price variation.

Buying on ICO is the most possible cheap coins that you can able to buy which most people do mention here and also to the time on where the dump had happen after on exchange launch because of panic selling but buying them at to the lowest price is very risky but depending on coin which you have bought some may pump after some days or dump forever.

I guess it is at the start of the campaign. They will do that for promotion purposes. Coins will be more at the said rate and gradually it will go on increasing because more people will be interested in it afterwards. Also, they have to do the fund raising so the last days would be fund raiser for them and they will increase the cost of the coins. Dye to this people who want to buy lots of coins will pay accordingly.

The best time to buy bitcoin is when the price is going down.So that i will save bitcoin.I will buy until bitcoin is in low price.Because my profit is greater than my capital.

I agree around that time around the early days of crowdsale or around 1 to hours of crowdsale, I'm sure you'll buy the cheapest.

You can buy cheap at first hour of ICO,however you have to trust during the large period of the ICO.Personally,I need to minimize risks

The best time to buy cheap coins is to let them to down very very high .

After re-sell them at high price

theorectically the best time is in the bear market. but it's always a good time to buy when you feel the market is going up. for now it is a little risky, maybe you should wait a few days to judge the trend.

Question is not where they bought it but when they bought it. Sia was around 40 satoshi only a month ago. But was over 100 satoshi more then a year  ago when Sia was a thing. Everyone was talking about Sia on Poloniex back then.  So I hope you got my message. Buy when price is low.
When I get spare Bitcoins I check prices of coins that are legit and have long term potential and buy the one I think is at that moment most undervalued.

True, because if you are referring to the trading site Poloniex; I also bought Siacoin around 63 satoshi exactly two months ago. When it was still undervalued. But actually the price now is still low compared to other coins, it's just that probably the people you heard bought it when you haven't started trading altcoins yet.

All those people who bought it for 7 satoshi must have surely been and early investor in their ico. Buying from an exchange is also fine but you can sureky not get the rates you get while purchasing during a ico. The reason is when you invest during ico there are lot of risks involved, even though companies claim that they have escrowed the funds it is still very risky and there is a chance they may run away
This is the only reson why you get heavy bonuses during ico

Lately while investing during ICO's I have noticed that the bonuses/discounts are not that favorable. Waiting at the Exchanges during the first couple of days could prove to be more lucrative as there are always people that might have invested too heavily and have to sell of their stacks, "jumpers" that goes from ICO to ICO and dump it all on the release day, or people that invested when BTC was at $800 and at the end of the ICO BTC is at $1500 so they take the overall profit and are happy with it.

I think the last 3-4 ICO's I've been interested in there's always been the same pattern like the one above.
