SHIFT plans to build a decentralized web. It has a solid development team. has a limited supply of coins and is extremely undervalued with a <50m market cap for what it plans to do. Anyone has any thoughts on SHIFT? I bought a few myself to hold  ;D

Yep, I was in since $0.15 and have always been very bullish. It was somewhat a hidden gem then, now not so hidden. Still quite undervalued in my opinion and with all the decentralized storage coins doing well, it's a no brainer to invest in Shift. Low market cap of $24 million with upside of at least 5x in the short term.

If you look at all the other alt coins starting to emerge out of no where (just a month ago 80% of the people here probably wouldn't have heard about it) like sia, xvg etc this is still pretty low key. It's gonna get pumped huge once phantom is out IMO  ::)

By the way, how much is this coin expected to grow? A couple days ago it was only a couple millions worth of market cap, but now it's already 25million... What makes you so sure that it's gonna grow even more?

Few days? Holding is not buying and selling a few days later. Good things come to those who wait.

Buy it now and hold it for 6 months to a year and you wont look back. That said i see it passing the 10usd mark very soon. Trade volume is picking up with awareness and it's also rapidly climbing the coinmarketcap charts.

Buy it now and sell at 10usd if you like and get a quick 200% gain, hold it and your talking thousands of percent as unlike all the random useless coins getting pumped at the moment this one actually has a future with a competent development team and an idea that's only going to increase in desirability as net neutrality etc is taken away from us.

Don't just buy coins just to dump and make money, you are actually investing in a product and this is one that deserves to be a success.

SHIFT to $200? Lets hope. I bought a few just before the big pump :).

That's not holding if you plan to do it for a few days. Give it AT LEAST a month. It went up almost 50% today alone  ::) and it's hitting the exponential phase in market cap growth judging from the charts.

I've been adding to my SHIFT position at .30, .67, and 1.18.  And I may add more to my position here shortly with this brief lull across the board. 

SHIFT is a great project with a bright future ahead.  Its price is deceptively low because of its relatively low supply.  $10.00 by middle of summer wouldn't be surprising.  The release of Phantom 2 will help with that.

It's only got about 8M in circulation last I saw. Your forecast certainly seems reasonable

Just now i am hearing about this coin and by looking at the charts it looks like it had a huge rally in the past one month and i am not certain about its path but will definitely look into it,since we have more coins it is really difficult to follow everyone.

The capital I have is still very small. Therefore, the capital turnover should be fastest for a week. I am still accustomed to playing short-taking profits of 5-20% is enough. If the capital has reached 5-10 BTC I think it is perfect to start trying longterm.

I still rely on the analysis of the amount of supply coin owned by dev and which has been released. It's a bit of help to know whether this coin will go down or keep going up.
Besides the formula in the chart is also influential.
This explanation is still simple and still always learning.

I'm lazy ass shit i took a quick look at shift and bought 500$ of it some time ago now it's worht like 4-5k.

Look at other coins like Digibyte and RDD, they have rallied 2-3000% in a few days. Shift has had a 2000% increase over approx 3 months so compared to whats going on with the other alt coins out here Shift is a pillar of stability.

I remember reading somewhere they are also working on some form of DNS implementation which would obvious reasons be very popular. I could be wrong tho.

At first I thought Shift was vaporware too, and shit. It turns out it is just a young project. They have one MAJOR pivot point that they need to cross, and once they do, you will see Shift be worth sooo much more. You will have to read the article to know what this pivot is.

There are too many small investors waiting for Shift, but Shift does not give them what they expect. Shift price does not look like a rising altcoin.

If a small investor does not have any losses, he will have to leave Shift and invest in other altcoins.

Shift has been in constant development. The growth is organic. If you expect an ICO hype coin, this is not the one. If you are looking for a coin with great long term growing potential and good tech, then I would encourage investors to take a look. There will be good things to come, even in the near future.

I'm not sure about 100X just yet. But we could defiantly see 10 dollars quickly once everything falls into place.

Shift has a small team and less funding compared to all the ICOs, so you have be patient. It still has very low market cap and has remained pretty stable at $1.20 or so, so still lots of growth potential.

I wish I had a crystal ball to answer this question :-) there are so many ICOs and alt coins not that it's very easy for the real gems to be lost in the noise. I think SteX has a great potential based on their business model and also other tokens have started trying out their DEEP technology and they haven't even done their main ICO yet.

its wrong to say 100x that would be a marketcap of 1000m
thats unrealistic but its more than realistic that it can reach a 100m marketcap with its project

The mainnet is on track, but the coin gets hammered on bittrex.
I believe that the moment they will create the 1st decentralized website on the chain, it is going to be x10, but in the meantime, it's going downhill.

going downhill!? the SHIFT-BTC rate has gone up 40-45% since BTC fork. growth rate is even more impressive if you do the math in USD. i don't see what's to be cried about. last two days have been correction time for most alts after a 2-week rally, that's just in the order of things

I don't understand how net privatisation is related to a delegate system; wouldn't such system be vulnerable to lobbying ? Because if 50+% of delegates are defending their own interests, it won't be really healthy.

Not the main dev though - who is pretty devoted to the project. Also, the two devs that left were apparently working on RISE and something else as well.

I think its buy the dip time - theres too much completed already and Phantoms coming out, etc.

Also, there are other devs on board who do not have a public face / have not been introduced etc.

As soon as theres a dev-related announcement to reassure people - ie brought a couple more on board or bringing to light some of the background ones - or dev release of some sort, the price will bounce back up.

That and I really like this project so theres that - but from an unbiased standpoint - its a buy when others are fearing sort of thing

Why do people keep saying 1bn is an unrealistic market cap for a coin? Honestly have you seen the number of unknown companies doing basic stuff like online clothing retailing that are worth over a billion? A technology like SHIFT could be worth 10x that surely

Time to add more shift to the portfolio. Their highly anticipated dApp Phantom is releasing this month. After its release, we wont see shift at these prices anymore. This coin has a lot a potential and can go up 100x by 2019.

Been trading sideways now at ~32000 ($1.50) for some time now. Thinking of doubling down

keep seeing this from some telegram and I'm not sure if I'm going to go or let the movement s keep rolling around, more to come I guess so better
to keep looking and checking if dip will happen then take the opportunity.

A decentralized www is a multiple TRILLIONS of dollars market.
But we are not yet there ;-)

Frankly, with a (soon) working product, like a working minimum viable product, such coin should be at least in the $200MM range (x10)

step2: With actual clients and a REAL websites hosted on the chain it's a $1B market cap currency (depending on the clients)

When I say: WWW on the blockchain, it does not even have to be it 100% on chain. A hybrid solution where only the light part of the site is decentralized and some databases remain centralized would still provide lots of services and a huge resistance to attacks etc...

Speculatively, you should have a look to ESP too: same tech, less advanced but the coin is really challenged now. It's a 2 sat coin with a $2M market cap.
I'd suggest a balance of 95% of your coins on SHIFT, and 5% on ESP. We never know...

Holding Shift for a while and waiting for its next rally. ESP is interesting too as it had a huge
rally from Apr- June going from 1 sat to 36 sat and now down to 3 sats. May be worth a
small investment if it pumps back to old highs again.

SHIFT is testing quite strong support nowadays, it might be time to buy some more. I still hold SHIFT and never think about selling it only because of price decline. SHIFT can be a gamechanger for web ecosystem.

10$ is cheap but that is not the point, have to be really good on it.

Price spiked yesterday to a high of $3 and now settled around $2. I hope this is only the beginning and the SHIFT team will soon start marketing.
Substratum which was around the same marketcap has already increased 5x due to good marketing.

Blasted through the 60k sell wall like it was cheap window glass. $10+ already and it's still days before the release. Congrats to all holders. Incredible things coming in Q1 2018 IMO. I think it's possible to see $30-50 within the next six weeks. First working prototype of this decentralized hosting tech ahead of Storj, Substratum, and all the others is a big deal and Shift's marketing has barely even begun.

Thanks for sharing, I gave it a minute to test loading speed of both pages with suprising results. Comparing these two sites by sight (just my eyes in Chrome), the Phantom hosted site is truly faster. I run some speed tests and actually the "original" site loads faster (Phantom starts rendering 0.4 seconds later). Apparently, Phantom handles static content caching differently, but it is getting a bit technical at this point. ;D

This still a good chance to buy today as the price is much cheaper. SHIFT has doing good and this will surely rise back once the market get on the green sign.

We heard so much sanctions and promises then we saw these sanctions and promises of %20. I guess, we should be gingerly more against the ICOs. We are in bear trend  and the next 100x even potential will not come in 2018. We should hold our coins and think realistic more please.

Is phantom and all the other things shift said it would do out already?  If so, why price still this low?  Its 25 cents almost.

Thoughts on this?  I got some last time and price has went down a lot already.  Should i buy more to average the price or is there no point?  So many people were talking about shift back then and now price went down a lot... but the volume that is trading is very low as well...

this coin is a true player in this game. they dont release things because of the price they release things because they are really encouraging in this project.
thats what i can say about this as a early investor. it doesnt get a lot of attention but its the number one in decentralizig websites. substratum lost the battle. its also possible to communicate with the devs on ryver. its a small community but its a true one they also got some people from lisk on board.

It'll be $10 again.

I really want to find some coins which will grow at least 50x but i don't know if will be possible for Shift, and i also think can't be possible if whales not buy it or if the bull run will not come.
