Anyways, I don't see an issue with having your wallet backed up to the cloud as long as you've encrypted it with a password of sufficient length and entropy. I suspect that since MtGox's database was hacked, they are going through accounts that had large withdraws and hitting IPs or e-mails. I immediately moved all coins to cold storage. too easy for someone else to accidentally delete files in the cloud, not enough permissions settings , etc. i dont understand why anyone would store their wallet online when they could store it offline and be that much safer. |
