I'm back in business providing micro loans to BTC talk users. It's simple to apply and if you've got valid collateral, I've got no reason to deny! Please read my conditions below and copy the form in order to apply.


Currently Accepted Collateral:
- Bitcoin Forum Accounts (Minimum of Full Member status - I take no responsibility if you are kicked from sig. campaigns for inactivity)
- Valid Alt Coins (Coins that have value and are stable)
- Suggest Something Reasonable!
I charge a 2% compound interest rate per day, please ensure you are aware of what compound interest is. For loans over 0.02, I will be willibg to negotiate a lower rate. There is also a minimum interest of BTC0.001 BTC [NOTE: THIS IS TEMPORARILY RAISED TO 0.002 BTC DUE TO HIGH TRANSACTION FEES AS OF 28/06/2017], you will be charged this if your compound interest does not reach above BTC0.0010.002. If it does, then you will be charged based on the compound interest amount. Put short, whichever is highest.
The value of the collateral you provide is at my discretion, collateral for me is what I say it is worth. By providing me with collateral, your understand the collateral becomes my property until the loan is repaid. If you do not repay within the specified time frame, your provided collateral becomes permanently my property and will be sold without your permission, it belongs to me. I do not use Escrow, only at your cost and request. Time extensions for the loan can be applied for, but this must be before your repayment time expires. Repayments to the wrong Bitcoin address will result in collateral being sold, unless another payment of the full repayment amount is given to the correct address. I will assume you have defaulted on the loan if no contact has been made (and no repayment) by the repayment date, do not expect me to still have your collateral if you contact me after your repayment date. Although I don't require it, it is preferable for you to have an alt. account if I need to contact you about a repayment time extension or anything else. Any collateral that costs me to return to you is at your expense. The transaction fee of your repayment is at your own expense.

If you have missed your repayment deadline, contact me first before repaying as I may no longer have your collateral and you are entitled to keep the repayment funds.

I will usually reply to a loan application within a few hours maximum. Please copy and paste this form to apply. You must apply in this thread, if you PM me I will simply ask you to reply in this thread. It helps resolve issues if they arise.
I will reply to your request by quoting it, and telling you if your request is accepted or rejected.

The reply to your loan request will include the amount you must repay me to get your collateral back. I will ask you in the reply to confirm you agree with this amount, to avoid any issues.

In the meantime, all i can suggest to do is contact the owner of the address you told me to to send to (providing it isnt a temporary deposit one or something) and ask them to give the funds back. It's unlikely - but they could be feeling kind!

Minecraft accounts are not collateral and can be r3civered from Mojang with the transaction ID from when the account was purchased.

If your alt coins, however, are reasonably stable and are on a few exchanges then I dont see why not. Reply with a loan request and the list of altcoins and how many you have of each.

For every ten loans you make, how many would you say are never repaid? How many would you say are partially repaid? How many would you say are fully repaid?

This current loaning service has only seen 4 loans, and I believe my old one also had about 4.

At the moment I seem to see about a 30% repayment rate. I don't mind though, that's what collateral is for. In all honesty I can completely see why collateral scamming is a thing, because I often make a significantly larger amount of money from a loan if the person that gave me the collateral doesnt pay back.

I assume you want to be a loaner? Try it, just be careful.

So in essence when the defaulted you sell the collateral (forum ids) and make more in return than the original loan. And in your view many people have no intention of repayment but just want the money knowing they will lose their forum id?

It is however a good set up and good business, wish it stays good for you :)

People see loans as an easy way to sell accounts if they can't sell one. I generally will make more from a collateral sale than their repayment, yes. The dilemma is that selling accounts is risky and fuels crime on this forum.

Here is the thing... there are so many lenders here, so is there a market to actually make money from the business?

Yes. There are likely people cheaper than me, but some lenders don't bother with small amounts or don't have the Bitcoin for larger amounts. Some lenders will deny collateral that I am willing to take. If you ask me, it's about finding the correct lender for BTC, and one that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. I am always looking for customers, because I love making me some BTC  ;)

I do not know why the negativation. I was denied by just asking about an unsecured loan. But I've never made any loans here in the forum. I've asked a question and I've already been billed as a thief! :(

You have been asking for a loan with no collateral. Sorry to be harsh but that's quite self explanatory. Even when you do offer collateral, it is collateral that I personally have already told you is not actually collateral, but you continue to ask anyway. If you prove your legitimacy or offer some valid collateral then it may be removed.

Fishbones78 I do not have any balance to offer as a guarantee as I already told you. What about my legitimacy, how do I prove it?

I honestly know what it's like in your situation, with 0 trust. I hated it, because I knew I could be trusted but I couldn't prove it. I wouldn't say I'm still even that trusted, only a bit.

The problem is, it just takes time. Doing trades just so you can get some trust is also something you can get negative trust for, because scammers build up a solid trust profile and then scam. The only thing you can do is wait in all honesty. Waiting is hard, but it's your only option if you really have no collateral.

A tip to get yourself trading though, sell some online gift codes, steam games etc (you'll need Escrow) to get yourself some Bitcoin to start playing with. You'll begin recognising the big names around here. You'll also learn how to do things in a way that wont just land you in a mess of negative trust.

EDIT: Also, my name isn't Vod, so don't get too excited, but you could get that negative trust removed. It's entirely up to Vod, but in the future, if you show yourself trust worthy, he may remove it.

Like I said though, that's down to Vod (don't go and pester him), and really feedback is feedback, and I personally don't think it will ever be removed. However you will be able to get rid of the -2 next to your name if you get positive trust from other DT members.
