without open ico selling , i think without bounty campaign

No, but I have previous connections to suppliers, so it'd be easy to supply it once Dorfcoin gets a value.

The blockchain is much larger now. It takes approx 30 min to an hour to sync at this time.

We never added a block explorer to our timetable- a mistake on my part as I assumed wallets could do this (They do download the entire chain after all). Therefore, rather than mess with our current schedule, I'm setting up a bounty of 5000 DORF for the first person who can get a stable public block explorer running and send me the configuration.

Wallet takes ages to sync, its syncing but stil at 0%

so.....I used the wallet started the miner, how do I find out that I am actually mining? like this doesn't show any H/s.

There are 15 other miners currently so the blockchain is growing much faster- it took me about 2 hours to sync with my hardware this morning.

Go to your wallet help -> debug window -> console and type in gethashespersec

Yes it's been 3 hours now and I still haven't synced myself. People are mining so quickly as the difficulty is so low, that it's taking a long time to catch up. Surprisingly, the server is handling it well.

Sync is bugged, I think. Stops at "Processed 277 blocks", 16H ago. Restarted and now it's "Processed 277 blocks", 17H ago.
I did start mining, but how am I supposed to know if I receive any coins? I'm CPU mining.

The issue may be with block 277 itself- we're still looking into it. The wallet lets you know when you've successfully mined a block.

Yes I find that very odd as well. We're going to open another node in hopes that'll speed things up. Confirmation will come in the next 8 blocks.

Which CPU are you mining with as of now?

None- I'm currently out of sync. I usually mine with a core of i5-6600k when I do, however. Keep in mind we support GPU mining now, which is more effective than CPU mining.

Yes, it might have something to do with the server. We're planning to create another node to speed things up.

Nothing wrong with asking questions :) It's like a public server wallet, that everyone connects to. Right now there's only one, and everyone is trying to sync and mine from that one node. It can be created by making your synced wallet a public server so that others can sync and mine from it as well.

Block 287 is stuck for 6 days now, I can't mine with gpu through qt wallet because it's not synced. Mining with cpu at 4.7 diff is crazy, we need pool or something like that.

I've been having issues with the wallet myself. There might be a bug with the blockchain- we'll have a look.

I've talked to my partner and it seems the difficulty is due to a few miners with powerful GPUs suddenly stopped mining, so their difficultly has remained high. The options are to either mine with a weaker GPU so the difficultly can come back down, or start a mining pool. We're looking into the second option now.

Well, we cannot mine with gpu when wallet is out of sync, it's possible to build solo pool, but I'm too stupid for that. Second option should be best.

Yes it seems that our server expired. Unfortunately they raised their price to $45 a month. We hired a service to host a blockchain explorer for us which was supposed to be up on Friday, but it still doesn't seem to be up. That was supposed to replace the current node we use :/

In the next few days. Pool mining still works, but it won't be authenticated till the node is back up.

No just unbalanced. A larger pool of miners would correct the issue. We have a plan for that once our coin gets listed :)

You'd better hire a scrypt mining rig to get it stable. 13 days to find a block. the coin is dead already.

The difficulty will rebalance soon enough. We already have a plan set to that end. No coin dies until the devs give up, and we've put to much time and money into this project to simply give up.

Our plan is twofold- we recently sent coin listing requests to a few exchanges. When Dorfcoin gets accepted, this should help bring in a large influx of miners which will allow more consistent mining. Additionally, I plan to get ahold of an rx 480 card myself to assist with the pool mining. (I've been meaning to get one anyways so I can finally try out the witcher 3 and metal gear solid 5)

I'm going to keep the mining pool down until I fix the hashrate. Everything should be sorted out by the end of the week.

How are you going to change hashrate? Waiting for lower hashrate, then I'll start mining again. What's the progress of exchanges? I want buy more.
And btw dev, what do you think about PoS? Maybe you should go for PoS system which doesn't require mining hardware? Maybe more people would be interested in buying and staking this coin.

I ordered an RX 580- I'll be mining myself and artificially lowering my hashrate until the difficultly becomes something more manageable. Great question- I'm yet to hear back from them myself. You're welcome to request Dorfcoin on any exchanges you'd like; I'd support you fully.

The problem I have with proof-of-stake is that it encourages centralization and discourages usage by design. This is because it is much more deflationary than even PoW crypto.

Dorfcoin doesn't have much attention because we haven't done any marketing since it's introduction to the public- We've done this on purpose. I want the hashrate sorted out and Dorfcoin on any exchange first so that we can get the ball rolling without disappointing anyone with setbacks.

I understand your concern. However, we did not start off with an ICO so we're not managing Dorfcoin full-time; we're doing all this on our free time outside of our full-time jobs. Although we will continue to meet our goals, they will not be accomplished at the same speed as other projects, unfortunately. I will provide the IP address for the pool and new node once I get them going.

I originally wanted to use a third-party pool but as we've seen, they're proving to be unreliable. As a result, we're forced to use our own resources to create our own pool.

That's what I'm worried about- for the month or so the pool was up after the difficulty raise, the hashrate didn't get fixed. We have been thinking of hiring a mining platform to fix the difficultly for us first.
