This is a very simple ann thread that could be easily ignored by anybody because it does not have the any graphics or banner but you can take the best advantage of this project if you can take your time to go through the whitepaper.

A 10% annual operation fee means that I have to make 10% profit per year to just break even. This is not possible since we only get 0,75% per quarter. This means 3% profit per year and we pay 10% fee, seems like a bad idea. Am I calculating it wrong, or is it really a bad formula.

We use multiple strategies to invest and trade in cryptos. We use machine learning for historical pattern trading, technical analysis, quantitative arbitrage across exchanges and long term investments in promising cryptos.

My question is this, I am sorry if it has been asked before

1. What will happen if loss is made, does it mean I lose my investment or it reduces considering that we all know that in crypto world profit is not of certainty.

Many traders switch (partly) to crypto because of bigger volatility and margins. I love the idea to size up.

Just a couple of questions:
1. Are losses shares by investors? If profit is made after a loss, is the div based on net or just the profit? If the fund losse money is the 10% still paid out (10% is very much on the high side compared to approx 2 in normal hedgefund in my opinion)

2. After each quarter the max intrinsic value of the fund is the starting value because of fee and dividends?

3. More in delth info about track record, trading history would be appreciated.

4. High yields are definitely achievable. Could you please show the calculation for the RISK ADJUSTED return?

Hi, we are not charging the management fee for the pre-ICO sale. At 1.34 Bn coins, we raise $52 million and $5.2mn annual performance fee.

Why are you guys not working with a high water mark if you are so confident you will make money? I am sure this would ease the minds of potential investors.
Hi, our watermark is the performance of the Bitcoin.

Target Coin team is taking 13 % of the coins (80 * 0.13) 10.4 million worth of coins. Besides dividend on these coins 15% of total profit. With all this in mind I think 10% standard fee + no high water mark (investopedia is your friend if you dont know what this means) sends a wrong signal, conflicting with the confidence that the white paper sends.

Target Coin team is buying the coins at a discounted price, putting in personal capital into the fund. We share back 85% of the profits back with the investors, unlike no profit sharing with the other cryptos and the price being purely speculative price.

With a normal, customary 1.5-2% fee and a high water mark this would be a no brainer for me as I believe the project has so much potential (although it would be nice to see some track record).

Finally, if 85% of profit is paid to token holders, and 15% is charged as a performance fee. You start with 80 mln, aim to be 500 mln in 2019, where does the other 420 mln come from? All the profits after 10% fee go to the team and the token holders. Perhaps I am missing something really simple, so please enlighten me :-)

The team plans to reinvest most of the management and performance fees. Depending on our performance and investor demand, we plan to raise additional capital without diluting the existing tokens.

Don't get me wrong, I am very disturbed by the ridiculous 10% fee and the lack of high water mark, but good traders in immature volatile markets have so much potential, I could still put my money in this ICO!

10% fees are for the first year. 3% guaranteed bonus will be give back that leaves us with 7% management fees. We plan to invest a significant amount of money into HFT crypto trading and TargetX software which will be free for all token holders.  We plan to revise the management fee after the first year.

This is actually a good suggestion and I think answers has been provided to it but it also come with its own deficiencies in the sense that when there is too much Target coin in circulation, immediately after the distribution and listing, people tends to dump which might lead price crashing for a developing project, it might no longer live up to expectation due to that singular act but if it can ensure to be released into the market on a gradual basis without flooding, then its a good idea.

Hi, yes we are expecting to generate more than 100% returns. Our personal benchmark is 400%. The risk management is done by us and we have portfolio monitoring tools to calculate different  market dependency and VaR and have a balance long and short positions. I find this project really interesting and would love to invest but I have a question:

If I understand correctly all the money in the fund has to be raised during the ICO and there is no way to increase the money under your management afterwards since you always pay out 85% of the profits, right? This seems problematic to me as you'll hardly be able to grow your business. The 10% management fee will always stay the same, so the 15% performance fee is your only additional stream of income. I actually asked something similar (and got answered), if nobody from targetcoin answered when you read this you might be interested in my questions and the answers.

What happens to unsold coins? Burned?
Since 400M coins were sold outside of the ICO only a couple were sold in the ICO so far. I am astonished by the low amount of ETH put into this project so far.

I actually already invested in this project. If targetcoin would be a bit more clear on some things I actually might add a bit since if you consider ICO's a gamble, this is one gamble with an above average upside, in my opinion.

I find this project really interesting and would love to invest but I have a question:

If I understand correctly all the money in the fund has to be raised during the ICO and there is no way to increase the money under your management afterwards since you always pay out 85% of the profits, right? This seems problematic to me as you'll hardly be able to grow your business. The 10% management fee will always stay the same, so the 15% performance fee is your only additional stream of income. The 10% management fee is only for the first year and will be reduced to only 2% from second year onwards.  We are charging 10% management fee for the development of TargetX (revenues of which will also be shared with our investors).

The investors who want to reinvest can buyback the tokens on exchange, helping the net asset value to grow.

The management team plans to reinvest all 15% of the profits back into the fund.

Also, depending on the investor interest, Target Coin plans to issue additional tokens in the 2nd financial year without diluting the existing investors' tokens.

If this article is true, my guess is the crypto trading space is about to get crowded, and algos will be fighting each other instead of just small time traders.

Why do you guys keep ICO? Why not enhance the existing platform? They nearly function the same but the difference is just the technical side. You could try to incorporate into them, like what NXT dev team is doing. It is wasting of the resource, money and homan power etc.

I don't see this as a threat at all simply because of the fact that the crypto space is so large

@Sir Dagonet I can understand what you are telling here,but the fact is the crypto currency market is in its infant stage and we will see a huge market in the coming years,it is just a small amount right now with the world investing in it,so i am expecting a much bigger market in the future and i am sure it will surpass the stock market in the coming years.

I'm not speaking of crypto projects, rather the trading of the cryptocurrencies.  What's taking place at the present time in the latter is child's play compared to the traditional financial markets.  When enough well funded hedge funds with highly skilled algo programmers and traders invade the crypto space, the competition will become an entirely different space than what now exists.  Read up on HFT and you'll get an inkling.

My question to Target Fund managers is what makes them think they can compete with some of the participants mentioned in the Forbes article?  Some of those guys are heavyweights.

We will not have the entire capital pool traded by the algorithms. There will be some mid-term and long-term manual trades.

Forbes is a big name, but their own performance and rating is beginning to be questionable these days. Remember they featured a lot of dead scams already. But still, being featured is a good thing and brings recognition. Looking forward to seeing it.

I guess if you sell your coins then there is no way to earn dividends, I see it this way: As MNX pays you in MNX for Parking so TGT will share some dividends with each holder of TGT as much time you have TGT in the address.

This coin has a very good business concept, their dividend system is a win-win but i don't know why the trading is not that good, i guess it really needs more exchanges to be listed to make a wider trading option.

However some transactions did not go through due to network congestion because if the new crypto kitties app.
