Only stratum is supported by now.

we have survived a DDoS attack, but we had to change our dns records to a new ddos-protected ip address.

what does it mean  "generated but not accepted mined" ?

In terms of network block, that means that block was generated but not accepted by the network. In example, someone solved same job before us.

This is your third post, as much as I want to trust you I'll have to see how others get on first.

just a notice for new comers, pool stats are updated once 5-10 minutes, your hashrate is calculated as average per shares you've sent within last 10 minutes. So it will take some time for counter get to your real hashing speed.
Also about RBPPS:
RBPPS - Round-Based Pay Per Share. Like PPS, but payouts are delayed till a block is found and confirmed by the network. If a found block gets orphaned, earnings relative to it are not paid.

worker  says not active even though i see a hash rate? is this because no block is found as yet?

what's the network rate ?

Network rate is ~435 MHash/s ('getmininginfo' command in the debug window of the wallet client). So the pool is at just below 25% of the network rate. With a target of 3 mins per block, that means a bit more than 12 minutes between blocks found by the pool. On average of course.

seems to be going now, old faithful just needed a kick.... at this pool hash rate, we should rape the RC network of blocks.

except that the difficulty is way lower than actually network rate. block's been found every 1 minute. So every 5 min this pool should find one.

This is to prevent guys hitting F5 100 times per minute to get the server down.

Nice pool.

Hashing away nicely, but something is a bit strange. After like 20 minutes my hashrate still shows only half at your site. Also, when I click on My Worker it says that my worker is not active.

Just a bug ? And should I worry about only half my hashrate showing ?

check in another 5-10 minutes.  He said they were making a few changes to the server and to expect strange numbers for now, also 5 minute cache updates.... as for the Active/Non active on the workers page, it should say active (at least mine all do).   

In theory, a hacker could use t to gain complete control  of the entire network.

this pool is a bit weird for me, the more workers i create and use the other workers get slower.

for instance

1 worker = rig 1 = 1.1mh  

thats fine and if i just have 1 worker on your site it says 1.1mh

however if i add more rigs its gets slower so if i put 3 rigs all say about 600khs  ?  this happens with coinotron too so i wonder why some pools do this,notroll and gml are okay with adding more workers.

that could be a hashrate calculation bug. all shares are counted and paid properly.

can i point all rigs to 1 worker? does that work okay?

you dont have to do that. as i said before, all shares your workers have sent to the pool are counted properly. hashrate is calculated on average and should not be treated as anything to do with real payout size, since pool does only count shares for payout, not hashing speed.

Not sure if this is "normal".  I seem to be getting shares a LOT slower then when I am mining anything else.  Is there something in my config that I might need to change? This is for a 7950 that mines at 630

this is because share difficulty is set to 128. Most of other pools use 64 or 32, which is two or four times more shares per minute. Don't worry, everyone else is generating hashes at the same difficulty and block share proportions are right.

Great job on the pool, very low reject rate and love the transaction history page, green in red out and no donation lines cluttering it up.

I say we build stock up and wait a week, then start sending e-mails to exchanges requesting it to be added.  Too early and there isn't enough profit in it.  Have to build up some hype first. 

btw.. ashame to ask, but where do you guys monitor the network speed? i mean the royalcoin network speed of course :D

Maybe add a little note about the 0.1 RYC tx-fee for payouts. It's a super-common amount for alt-coins, but it's good to put it somewhere on the spots where you can set payouts (manual or auto).

I setup an account with this pool, but I cant get my RYC wallet to start downloading the block chain. I havent had this issue with other coins wallets please help.

the registrations will be closed on 500 000 kh to save the server power.

Is there no way to set my own workers' usernames and my own passwords?  It would be very inconvenient to change the usernames and passwords on each of my rigs. 

im sorry, not yet. this was made to get rid from workers like '{username}.1' with password 'x'.

looks like my hoster has completely removed network connectivity from my host from now. I can only see it got no load now via KVM connection.

Why would somebody wants to DDOS a new pool? I don't get it.

I think it is not ddos attack. Actually suddenly we all joined and it's looks like ddos.

They ddos new coin pools so everyone else flops around / has to solo mine with poor results, while the botnets connect to a private pool and mine away without problems.

Its coin hoarding.

But 1.6G/s is small change when it comes to DDOS

Because they want to mine this coin now.

1 of my rigs switched back automatically, the other needed a /flushdns which was weird as plugged into the same switch.

DNS would not update for me, had to enter the IP directly into Windows hosts file.  If you can't get on take the IP you're getting and change the last # to 25

i can now connect to the website now it is working fine, but my miners no longer connect.

just wait a bit more until it gets resolved.

i guess that is google dns servers cache time being too big. if you're using dns servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 please try to use others.

i can't make dns changes go faster, i'm sorry for that. 1/3 of people are already mining again, its just local dns providers (and google, heh) making their dns cache too long. i hope this will be resolved within few hours.

I reseted my router and adsl modem and nothing , type ipcofing /dnsflush , what can i do?

try using some of dns servers from this list: http://theos.in/windows-xp/free-fast-public-dns-server-list/ (except google)

would you get more coins mining from a pool with greater hashrate? if both pools had massive rate 60 vs 120 for example

No worries, that pool uses PPLNS, which is kinda pointless, when only 2 pools exist. Takes way to long, for a slower miner to get enough shares, to reach full earning potential. Your pool is much better.

okay i've got ddos protection setup in test mode. i am going to test it with my miners to make sure the connection is stable without rejects and so on. if everything goes well we are going to get another ip address later today that is DDoS-resistant.
please note that miners reconfiguration for new ip will be necessary, unless you want to wait for dns changes to propogate again.

i will announce the new ip as soon as everything will get tested for stability and ready for you guys to connect.

As I've said, I was ordering/testing/configuring the ddos protection service, and looks like it's done.
I have tested my miners for about 1.5hrs through the new IP address, and got zero rejects on that.
So I am now updating DNS records to point to this new DDoS-protected IP address:  209.141.39.173
You can use it already to reconfigure your miners.
Also, please note: the current IP address (176.56.230.25) will be completely shut down within next 12hrs.
So please kindly reconfigure your miners to our brand-new protected IP.

Something is going on with hash rates shown on the site.  Says pool hash rate is only 5mh and that my hash rate dropped by 70%, but it shows unchanged on my side of things.

edit: seems to be returning to normal, but still a good 20% lower than what it should be.

i'm sorry to say, we had a network interruption for a few minutes. that was a failed ddos attack i guess. everything should go back to normal within few minutes.

I've just got confirmation from my provider about the DDoS attack. again. Good thing is that we were ready this time and attack mitigation took around 10 minutes instead of going down for hours :)
