No one would really prohibits you to offer your service as a campaign manager but talking about a serious project you should really have the experience and the history on handling campaigns. For OP there are lots of campaign managers on this forum its either on Bitcoin or alcoin campaign. Heres the choices for BTC camps...yahoo62278 , Lutpin, Lauda, Dark_star since i do have experience on these managers and i would say they are the suitest individual that could able to handle a particular campaign.

If you are really interested in giving job to Campaign Manager for your ICO , then only contact, YAHOO62278 & LUTPIN, both of them are capable of doing all work related to ICO advertising and maintaining the bounty program and even can give you lot of suggestion to you to get your ICO success.

What about estimated costs to pay, how do campaign managers usually take a fee?

As far as I know,yahoo charges particular amount(%) on each week's payout.I'm not sure though.However,if you really want a very strict campaign manager who keeps up to the forum's expectations try Lutpin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=520313).

Just so you know,the reputed campaign managers are strict about the payment rules and all ,which is you must escrow the campaign funds.

He is not from Philippines and I'm sure with that, that was planning to launch his own shit ICO with 21M USD traget fund.
*I have some bad experience on Yahoo's campaign in the past but I agree with you that he is a good campaign manager. Once a participant joined on his campaign. There is only a guarantee that they will be paid as long as participants meet the requirements. Yahoo always escrowed funds of campaign that he handle and this is the best quality of a campaign manager. Ensuring safety of his participants.

he is good, but sometimes slow. most probably because he is involved in loads of recent ICO's, but I think he is the most popular manager today

The trust rating of that particular account. If he gets a green rating, it means most he is good & honest in whatever he is doing. So if that person is a campaign manager with a green trust rating, then he must be doing a good job in the past.

I see well thank you for clarification.  But what's more important positive level of trust or reputation like legendary or hero or they don't get separate from each other?

Thank you for the information. I will look in to this but having said that I would prefer to work with someone who is not working on several ICOs and campaigns at the same time as mine. I would rather the campaign manager kept focus on my project alone though I concede that might be difficult. I might be willing to hire someone who has a maximium of two other campaigns but no more. I believe this jamalaezaz bloke is quite busy.

be your own manager...many owner here make great success when they manage their business.. and plus you will have the posibility to know many users.

most of managers here get many alt account and almost dificult to get a bounty from these bad managers.

I never thought about campaign managers with multiple accounts, thank you for mentioning that. I did consider being my own campaign manager but opted against it to keep time available for the project.

Personally, (and maybe most people will agree) I'd go for the trust rating. You can be a hero member even if you know nothing or proven nothing as long as you keep posting here for a long time, while having a positive trust, even a lower-ranked member can have it as long as he has proven his capabilities - meaning he is doing well on what he is doing and has proven himself to be trustworthy.

I am not applying but just want to say please please hire an known good manager and not a new one unless you know he is 100% honest ( you might pay more but trust me it will worth it ) . there is few managers appeared lately that in fact have a lot of alts and they will give most of the work for there alts they even will give translation jobs for there alts and just use google translate  :D . I am  serious here i caught couple of them doing so .

I really agree with you, Jamal is very good at managing and managing a project, if he is very slow, does not mean he is a very bad manager, he just wants everyone not to be disappointed with the work he does, maybe he just check back the work already He did it u was right or not, maybe with him like that everybody will get justice for the gift he shares.

I would say use it to help you in your search but do not blindly trust it since one and half year is too much and a lot maybe changed .

You can also just open some ANN threads ( they are a lot ) and see who manage them and how many he/she managed before and if there management was successful and flawless or not . It is really easy to find good manager if you put the effort on it  ;)

i will recommend  yahoo62278 for your campaign manager, i have followed must of the campaign he handles and the guy is pretty good at what he does! he's that type of managers i know i can trust when it comes to distribution of bounty rewards to participant after the end of ICO. He can also help you out (share ideas) on how to make your ICO a successful one.

Managing a campaign is not easy as you think even you don't have any experience managing a campaign. To be manager the most generally you must have is experience and time.

Don't you think that experienced managers somehow started as being a beginner like effective traders who also started as a beginner.

What a campaign manager for me should have is their passion and dedication with honesty. He should also combat the spamming of their participants and very hands on in dealing with these.

@khufuking thank you for the link. Yes the name yahoo62278 came up in the past I will look in to it. So did jamaleazaz but I prefer to work with a campaign manager who will not have more than 2 or 3 campaigns at any given point as it will be my first ICO and I will need to believe the campaign manager will give attention and focus when needed.

I am still trying to sort several things out and have time therefore will make contact with all potential campaign managers in due course - cheeeeeers :)

We are looking to announce an ICO and we were planning on doing it ourselves but the more I read the more it seems like a good idea to have someone do this for us.  Any thoughts/opinions on "pitfalls" of using someone less experienced? 

I was under the impression we would post the initial ICO information and then deal with the questions (or common attacks on our idea :()... how does a campaign manager know "how" to reply if they are not as familiar with the project as we are?

Yes, people have to start somewhere so in that respect even inexperience should not deter people from trying.

Yahoo is the best actually and will always remain one, but as you said that the options are still going to be considered, I would love to put in my candidature as well and will be waiting for your PM regarding the whole thing... After thinking about if for a while I think it is good and fair to give new manager a chance . Just recheck and keep your eyes on there work  until you feel every thing is alright and you feel you can really trust them . By that way you will give new managers a chance and will make sure your campaign get good quality work ( manager ) .

You don't know their capabilities. Mostly that is the main "pitfall" and other pitfalls came from that. Since you don't know what he is capable: hypothetically you let him manage but there are many participants who used many accounts to abuse but because he is incompetent he doesn't care and didn't act accordingly. Unlike experienced ones, you can see from the campaigns their managing and managed as how competent, trustworthy they are since you can see what there capabilities are based on their history.


For me (I also think reputable managers do this), before they manage the campaign they should know what campaign they are managing so they can respond to some concerns that participants or other people throw at them regarding the said campaign. Also, he should first assess whether it is a scam or not since he don't want other people to be scammed or hurt his reputation in managing a scam ICO or any campaign.

Campaign managers don't really need to know every detail but rather the basic and essential things that they should know. For example, when will the crowdsale of the ICO be?, how many weeks does the campaign lasts?, etc.

I think you are right. Giving a chance to new managers might be the way to go otherwise how can people gain experience?

All managers are good except Jamal, he is the worst, he is selfish and loves himself, he manage a lot of campaigns in same time cuz he is poor and trying to earn a lot of money, and all campaigns that he is runing they gave small amount for bounty hanters, i don't know why bt i think he is pushing the devs to give less because he know that most bounty hunters are idiots and will join to any campaign even for a penny.

Thank you for your open post, I think any campaign manager that takes on too much work will no doubt neglect all or some of the people he works for. I cannot say much about this jamaleazaz bloke as I do not know him but when he posted about removing himself from the Monaco bounty team, I liked the fact he did not wash dirty laundry in public but I have to say I will not approach jamaleazaz nor recommend him to anyone. There are plenty of other experienced campaign manager out there and so many kind, polite ones that just need a chance to get their first campaign.

I prefer going with an inexperienced bloke but someone who will at least split his time between mine and various other campaigns.
