Title: Best coin to invest aside from Bitcoin
Post by: RAB0818 on July 13, 2017, 03:11:26 AM
I really want to invest in cryptocurrency, but i think btc price is so high for me. I want to invest in a coin that is stable but with a much lower price. I mean super low, so that i will profit in the years to come. Im new in learning crypto so i hope someone will give me an advice. Thanks a lot.

Litecoin.

Still below $50 per coin. Likely the first alternative cryptocurrency, created in 2011. It's creator, Charlie Lee, just quit his role at Coinbase to focus on further development of Litecoin. Litecoin will have 4x as much coin mined as Bitcoin, therefore a barometer of price potential (should demand be equal) is 1/4 the price of Bitcoin. Today that would be $600...so from that perspective Litecoin has yet to see its day, therefore you haven't missed much.

before you invest, you should thinking how much you want to invest and how much your fund amount. let say, you have $200 and its equal with 0.08361204 btc at the moment in poloniex. after you change your money into btc, you can search the coins by watching the charts, the history, order buy and sell. you don't have to listen to other traders because their decision is sometimes is not good for you, you need to find by yourself. but if you want to make investing for long term, you can try with litecoin, etc, xrp, dgb and other.

You can try some cryptocurrency from ICO or Initial Coin Offering. You can invest your money here and earn lots of money, I tried most of the time Im earning two times the value of my invested money. Its a bit risky but its worth it if you successfully earned here. There is no limit because it has different coins from the ICO.

There is absolutely no reason to believe that demand will be equal. Bitcoin is the crypto store of value, the number of coins doesn't matter.

AntShares (ANS). Look it up. You describe a long term investment (years). I don't think LTC will be the most profitable long term hold. I imagine BTC will be far more profitable, even given it's current price. Also Stratis. Look it up. Assuming no extenuating circumstance both will be over $100 in the next few years.

I want to invest in a coin that is stable.

No such thing! The best thing to do is diversify. Don't buy just one coin. Buy a small amount of 5-10 different tokens.

Just some friendly advice :)

I would say that it depends on the individual, but it's actually good to diversify coins. What I usually do is to look out for upcoming ICOs and invest in them since the value is still very affordable, incl. bonuses. The ICO's which I strongly recommend is DIMCOIN and Tezoz maybe. I invested hard in these two

I was thinking like you a year before. Later, I discovered waves . Its last year's price was 0.00033 btc but this year  Its prices increased to 0.0024 btc. I guess It will be 0.01 btc in couple of years. For that reasons, I'm regularly buying waves monthly. If you want, you can think about it.

True. You shouldn't put all your money in any single coin or product. You must need to diversify your funds to reduce future risks. You should select a coin based on the use of their coins because there are many coins not useful. I have invested some money in these coins IOTA, NEM, Waves, LTC, Ripple, Burst, ETH and NVO.

Bitcoin is too high to buy now I agree with you, though you can still buy some unit of satoshi and make huge profit as bitcoin is still the most reliable such of crytocurrency investment for now. Litecoin and Zcash including ripple are also good for investment now except there are more risky than bitcoin.

Tier1: Litecoin, Ethereum Classic, Decred, Waves, Digibyte, Verge, Stratis, Antshares, Siacoin and Golem

Tier2: Ardor, lisk, Syscoin, LBC and Komodo

Tier3:  Radium, Vertcoin, musicoin, Clams, AEON, POSW, Shift, ZCoin and NAVcoin (high-risk  high-reward)

Tier4: XRP, XEM, Dash and Ethereum (low-risk low-reward)

Don't put all your eggs in one basket

I think for now, litecoin and ethereum are the best for long-term investments. They have a good future when viewed from the stabilization of their prices. It may be in the future, litecoin and ethereum that will give something different in comparison to the bitcoin that has done it now.

I suggest you buy monero ( xrm ) for investment. For me monero has stable price and volume, even their price falling down but isn't too deep like the others. Buy it after 1 August for safety and don't forget stop loss. This is hard time for altcoin but never lost faith, keep follow your strategy with wise money management. Good luck.

They are very good investment choices indeed but I think the op means the coin which are even cheaper than that. Let's admit, they both have already experienced their  big growth of price. That's why I would suggest dogecoin. It is currently #21 in marketcap, although it is worth a couple of cents. Furthermore, it has a very secure code, fast transactions and second biggest cryptocurrency community after bitcoin. I believe this one can raise in price and bring you the money.

I will suggest to invest in tokens that have real world usage rather than coins that are just competing with bitcoin. Gambling type tokens are typically a good bet as you essentially profit from people gambling with them, a few good ones are Funfair (FUN), etheroll (DICE) and dao.casino (BET)

There are many altcoins worth to invest now. Yes ICO is good to invest also but need to research first for it if the project is good.

I completely agree with this. Litecoin has been calm for a long time but something big in terms of price is bound to happen sooner or later. I think it's pretty much undervalued at the moment. A great time to get on board.

I think the best coin to invest besides bitcoin is altcoin because the value of the price almost follow bitcoin, then it is to get results or advantages in investing is that you can quickly follow ICO projects though would be at high risk but if can handle it by exploring further the kno and insights from the ICO project. :D ;)

Diversify is always the best thing to do when it comes to investment and we should really not focus on a single coin because once it would failed you would really have the hard time to recover compared to have many since if one of those coins failed you do still have coins for you to recover and its much better than to those who havent. I invested most of my coins on cheap coins inside top 20 on coinmarketcap.

Anyone has own opinion and can be right or wrong - only time will tell. You should make your own research,
Just dont invest money you can't afford to lose or you can need them soon. avoid inflationary, pumped or massively premined centralized coins, and over time you will likely be in profit. it can take years.

many ICOs are also problematic, lots of scams there and its not easy to pick genuine and worthwhile project

+ bitcoin looks expensive, but its very easy to buy small fraction of it

It is really difficult to say what coins are stable, because at the moment you can see that all of them are jumping. I just discovered for myself an intresting project MOIN, they are going up on charts since January :) Also from some low coins look on EquiTrader they have developed new platform and are going up also(maybe also something intresting). A lot of people will say that they are sh*tcoins but i see some potential behind this projects. Xtrabytes seems also well. BUT lets go mainstream hardcore Ethereum, Waves, Stratis and ofcourse useless Litecoin =) Good luck with trading. :)

Footy Cash (FOOT) is the best altcoin to invest in..

Here's why:

FootyCash has seen a meteoric rise in valuation for the past month; with a price increase of more than 5000% on multiple exchanges.[/b]

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=FOOT_BTC#

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1374929.0

Here is why I think FootyCash is a great cryptocurrency:

1. Footy has Rarity - Only 4 million coins total can exist.  There is a small POS inflation rate - about 3% annually (for staked coins only).
How many of you can say like the Winklevoss twins - that you own whole percentages of a cryptocurrency.
Looking the current price of FootyCash you actually might be able to!

2. Footy is the first Fantasy Sports Crypotocurrency ever made. - Footy is the Bitcoin of Fantasy Sports!

3. Fantasy Sports is a multi-billion dollar industry - with tens of billions of dollars in annual revenue just for Fantasy Football alone!  If you count all the illegal gambling the figure goes much higher - maybe hundreds of billions? (not that I am condoning illegal gambling - but it's a fact of reality that must be considered anyway).

4. Coinmarketcap list just under 900 altcoins; of those listed only a  small percentage of altcoins have a cap of less than 4 million total coin.  Every coin on coinmarketcap with a rarity of less than 7 million total coins produced are all worth more than $2.00 USD - with the exception of Dreamcoin (because of YOBIT) and FOOTY CASH (which is currently undergoing a price correction: 5000% increase in the past month alone.)

5. The coin was greatly undervalued because of unawareness of the Footy cryptocurrency and Fantasy Sports as well.  As more and more people become aware of its value the price will continue to rise.

6. FootyCash has a great developer, active development, and the best community support!

7. FootyCash has a promising roadmap and is currently developing Masternodes for the next release.

8.  The name FootyCash may sound funny but "Footy Cash" is an actual English term (apparently):

     https://www.power100.com.au/news/local-news/81959-footy-cash-to-go-to-good-friday-appeal
     and
     http://www.heraldsun.com.au/ipad/california-club-brothel-sues-in-footy-cash-feud/news-story/bd77f7d397a34a067342a113b5bfa5d8

9. DraftKings, FanDuel, and other Fantasy Sports companies are getting the legislative green light to operate in most U.S States and other countries as well.

When these companies decide to follow the trend of most corporations and switch to blockchain technology - I guarantee you that they will take a hard look at FootyCash first!

10. Oh, and the price of Bitcoin is dropping and will continue to drop until the August 1st Segwit activation takes place.

While Bitcoin is dropping, FootyCash is actually gaining value daily.  FootyCash is a great store of value to weather this storm.

Many beginners make the misstake to think bitcoin price is too high.
I m hearing this argument since years, don't be a fool bitcoin is still king, as there are only 21 Million coins !

Scarcity gives bitcoin a lot of value, what doesn't mean that there aren't any other interesting coins.

Combining a blazing fast, dApp-ready, delegated Proof of Stake blockchain with the interplanetary file system - for a decentralized, resilient and highly extensible web 3.0 platform. Op download the exodus wallet and start with the coins in that wallet. Its the most user friendly wallet in the market and you dont need to deal with exchanges. Of all the top coins litecoin imo is the most undervalued. If owning a lot of coins is your thing with high total coins dodgecoin is still the champ imo with a fantastic community. Fyi dodge is getting delisted on exodus so you will need another wallet to hold them in.

I really want to invest in cryptocurrency, but i think btc price is so high for me. I want to invest in a coin that is stable but with a much lower price. I mean super low, so that i will profit in the years to come. Im new in learning crypto so i hope someone will give me an advice. Thanks a lot.
If I were you, I would buy some eth and ardr as a long-term investment, the future of these two coins prices will rise, of course, this is just some of my suggestions, I hope you have good luck in the investment.

I could say a small price coins with best tech specs should be  considered.
I may say:
XSPEC - it is the best annons coins actually, you have to check it
DGB: scalabity & fast are okay

XSPEC is also okay with scalabity & fast, so far
It is a monster

I love it how SPECTRECOIN is so much overlooked

Just because of the team changed recently it doesn't have Bittrex and eye-candy MTV corporate marketing team

TECH:
XSPEC is the best ANN coin today.
It is literally the only coin possible to use in Tor blocked countries (China, Iran, etc.)

Well, charts and infographics can say it better than me @ twitter

There are some altcoin deserve to be an alternative to investing like ETH, LTC, XRP or Waves. Because they are predicted to be able to survive for quite a long time and provide potential big profits in the future.

Litecoin is irrelevant and will soon be forgotten but it will see more pumps before now and then.

You're right, Bitcoin costs a whole fortune right now. ICO is the best way to invest, as every altcoin might become a second bitcoin in years.
I'd suggest to check this project - https://ico.reorder.world. They have a working project, fresh promising idea, reliable infrastructure, prospective team. In a few years most restaurants and cafes will be equipped with their terminals and thus raise the value of their coins and making profits for you.

In the long term it can reach $ 100, see the price today:

In current situation NEO and Waves are the best options, both are opponent of ethereum. Waves interface is great. NEO is backed so much by Chinese. Smart contracts will make them great.

I agree with you, that litecoin is a good invest beside bitcoin.
Litecoin has been around for a long time. It’s one of the first Altcoins in existence.
Litecoin has the second most secure blockchain, next to Bitcoin.

the problem with that is Chinese knows how to play well in the market so Neo can pumped high and dumped as well too hard, its better to keep
reading there's a lots of quality coin which can be profitable in long run who can move side by side with bitcoin.

The best investment aside from Bitcoin are Ethereum and Neo. These are my coins that I hold for long term, agree coinmarketcap is also good to check the best coins to invest.  Invest only on what you can afford only and wait for the price to grow.

Everybody has thought like you, they want to profit by buying very low price and sell high.
But its difficult to find stable coin at very low price. If very low price, we will think it not stable.
As reference, i will choose to buy etherium as their price stable.

Ethereum. Has grown 40 times in two years. You can create full-blown blockchain applications without intermediaries. What you can create: mathematically honest casinos and bookmakers, currency exchanges, crowdfunding, simple notarization, issuance and storage of shares for the company. I think it is one of the leading cryptocurrency for the crypto world in future.

There are more than hundreds of good coins that has potential to grow in future. Most of them may be trading above  $1,000 before 2025. The following coins are some of the coins that I think if you can invest in them now you may make some good money before you know: ethereum, litecoin, zcash, ripple, stratis, wave, Neo, silvercoin and bitconnet. If you can divid your portfolio among this foregoing coins, in five years to come, you will be a millionaires in your local currency.

I think Ethereum wii be a good choice. Ethereum is a rising star in the cryptocurrency world. It has quickly become the second largest digital currency in just over two years, booming in value and spurring the rise of hundreds of new rivals to bitcoin. Ethereum is a stronger and potentially more lucrative technology. It has other real-world applications, ranging from gambling to banking.

I want to invest in a coin that is stable.

No such thing! The best thing to do is diversify. Don't buy just one coin. Buy a small amount of 5-10 different tokens.

Just some friendly advice :)

Sounds like excellent advice to me.

True. You shouldn't put all your money in any single coin or product. You must need to diversify your funds to reduce future risks. You should select a coin based on the use of their coins because there are many coins not useful. I have invested some money in these coins IOTA, NEM, Waves, LTC, Ripple, Burst, ETH and NVO.
really the coin you choose is very appropriate because the future is very promising, let us select the coins that promise to us infestation in this year.

Aside from bitcoin, there are still a lot of coin that really give you a huge profit when you invest.
And one of them are the ethereum, litecoin and also bitcoin cash.
They are now very competitive and promising. That's why its really nice to hold them in the wallet.
Just remember, if you are a trader you should also monitor the value of cryptocurrency so that it will be your base in selling and buying bitcoin.

Actually, there are a lot of coins that can be potentially considered as good investment choice besides btc. Among them it is worth mentioning ethereum, litecoin, bitcoin cash, etc. My personal choice is dogecoin and ripple. Both has secure code, fast transactions and low absolute value. Even after recent prices growth I still see a big upside potential for these currencies.

The price of the coin is not really important what it matters the most are the profits you can get but if that is really important to you then Ripple may be a good option, Ripple is the third coin in market cap and each coin is trading for less than a dollar right now and there was a time where it was trading above 3 dollars so it is a good investment with good potential.

But this is the power of not putting the ball in one basket. If we lose bitconnect and at the same time we gain profit from other.

You could try checking on ETC, Nano, Poliniex, Bittrex these are really worth investing coins with a very reasonable amount to invest on. Or much better if you regularly monitor the prices of the alternate coins in the coinmarket. You could make an analysis there regarding which coins you preferred the most.
