I was going through one post in our community (BCT) and i found one really interesting post saying dogecoin may pumped in 2018 because of year of dog in china . https://www.karmaweather.com/2018-year-of-the-earth-dog/.

I also have noticed a pattern since my 2011 year in crypto - coins that I use on a regular basis are being pumped every once in a while. Do you use dogecoin or just bag holding ?

every coin can not against the market, if the market is dump, how can dogecoin pump? more and more new comers pay little attention to old coins except btc or eth

There is a possibility that dogecoin will be pumped in 2018 but I doubt it, I guess it will just stay on it's current levels and I am contented just the way it is now. Dogecoin is one of my favorite coin to use in terms of gambling and that's all there was to it. Many use doge just for gambling too.

That's not right, you should have strategy not because like that. Why you not try analyze prom price action history, volume or news speculation? it's worth than that. Besides that, 2018 is too far from now and today most coins was falling down. But it just me, all depend on you that your money. Good luck.

i think every altcoins having possibility to gets pump in 2018 not just dogecoin but we don't know when the time is come. before the time is come, i hope that we all be ready and we have dogecoin in our wallet so if there is a pump or flash pump, we can sell with high price. i think dogecoin will gets pumps everytime because there is many big holders of dogecoin and they are waiting the moment too like us.

That can't be a good reason to pump the dogecoin, What the hell are you saying about to pump the dogecoin caused by the dog year of china. Please give the better reason rather than just try to make a joke.

yes i think so, all coins not only dogecoin can be pumped, well take any decision if you want to invest doge then buy when the price is low and hold it until the price is pumped, and take advantage of that moment   ;D

there is no relationship and i find nothing interesting in it.
however it is obvious that altcoins, specially famous ones like Dogecoin get pumped every now and then. Doge had a very nice pump this year and won't have one for some time. which means it is a good assumption to say next pump may be in next year (2018).

but it is not a good idea to hold anything until then. Doge is one of those coins that will only go down in long term as you can see from its charts. try to invest before the pump that time, don't hold it all this time. you won't make any profit if you hold.

I don't see any future with dogecoin because there is no consistent projects or actions by the doge team and i think they just created dogecoin for fun and not for any serious reason. Dogecoin will be just part of the market but i don't think that it will pump in any year.

Yes exactly red apple even am also seeing the trend of dogecoin but based on my research doge price goes up when bitcoin price increases there should be one more discussion how bitcoin hard fork effect august 1st on dogecoin.

Actually the development of doge follows bitcoin prices, although the price is stable but bitcoin prices are rising, so this coin has a dependence on bitcoin

DOGE is the second coin after bitcoin that I have and still I hold, I'm sure the year 2018 Doge prices will continue to skyrocket even up to 2 times from now.

The most absurd reason to pump a coin, I will not put anything past the Chinese. The real issue is that doge, a much fun as it is does not offer much, so adoption is very low and only traders dabble in it. Years of the Dog include 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018, and 2030. Will they pump it then too?

This coin surprised me a lot. I thought it would die at the beginning.  I was wrong and it conquers the market  :o

Practically it survived the harsh market these past years of its lifetime so it will pump up as long as bitcoin increase to the price for the upcoming months it will drag the price up and down but not that much independent increases for this year, I've even surprised when I first heard of this coins as it was started as a joke coin and the things that the coin has been through to make it popular.

Many speculations that the reason of the pump in dogecoin's is because of a new branched out altcoin that is derived from ethereum and dogecoin which is the dogethereum. And it promises that it will provide innovation that the dogecoin longs for. Honestly I am very hopeful that dogethereum will provide its promise and will give us a good alternative platform for crypto exchanges in the market and who does not love the meme of cryptocurrency.

Dogecoin will really have a great future and when we compare the situation of doge, it's really doing positive responses. Now it's getting popular, so it made me bare in mind that there's no such shit coins as long as peole will trust it's community.

imo dogecoin is considered to be a non indemand coin and actually other people make fun of it , somtimes they call it a joke coin or a sh*t coin . so based on that reviews that i collected from several sites i think doge coin do not have the potential to pump  not unlike to any other kinds of crypto coins  .  although doge coin is still staying strong because it is still alive and kicking . so thats it , nothing so special about that coin aside from  low fees and fast transafer rate when used for buying and paying online .

It doesn't mean if the country of China are year of the dog the dogecoin will pump. Because until now this coin is wasting my time because I still hold this coin for more years now and until now I did not get any profit. Incase this coin will increase I will sell all my dogecoin. But I did not expect to this coin to increase very high it's enough for me if it's pump little.

I am also surprised by this coin even though many people think this is a junk coin or a joke but I think if there is no doge in the market it seems incomplete because doge itself is also often used for exchange and maybe because of the small fee making this coin in great demand.

I doubt it will rise too much, there are many dogecoin hodlers that are fed up of holding this joke coin for such a long time that they can't wait to get rid of it. When it rises due to hype there will be a wave of old investors dumping them everywhere. Even Mcafee couldn't rescue the price of doge so there is no hope

doge coin is favourite coin for arbit trader with small withdrawal fees, i think price is actually normal now, if you want to hold for speculation its time to buy more doge.

it seems that doge coin is still unpredictable, sometimes the price of dogecoin can rise higher or can drop dramatically. now dogecoin is still the favorite coin that many traders have even though the price is in a low position, so maybe doge will continue to grow and we wait for a surprise from doge.

For example, if you want to transfer your BTC from one exchange to another one and don't want to pay 0.0005-0.001 BTC fee, you can just convert BTC -> DOGE, send DOGE and convert it back DOGE -> BTC.
Doge transaction`s fee is much lower than BTC`s one.

Dogecoin has already been pumped in August. If you compare it to other years, its value is still high. I also doubt that it will rise a lot much. It will depend on the price of Bitcoin. You should not count on the year of the Dog. As you know, exchanges are blocked in China. It was just an excuse to hype the coin and it did work a little.

For me this is just shitcoin because the development team of Dogecoin has left this project and made DOGE more and more inflation. I think you should invest in another altcoin because its potential will be clearer and will probably help you make a good profit if the market enters the uptrend.

Its almost end of 2018 were at the 10th month and yet nothings happening to dogecoin,and besides i have dropped my doge at the start of this year as i have seen more altcoins are hugely falling and i am happy because before dogecoin continues to drop I disposed mine already.sorry to say but doge has nothjng to expct this whole year and maybe the next year also of 2019

The development of dogecoin gives a good thing for the holder, this will be beneficial. Many love to lose doge because the market still has a list and value.
Doge's journey is full of intrigue but still good in the market and the community still makes it alive and continues.

Dogecoin is currently undervalued and since most of the coins in it class get pump last year, dogecoin was left behind. I think the developers need to do a lot in other to build investors confidence on the market. This year 2018 is almost over and I doubt if dogecoin can make any significant progress in the area of price before end of this year. Many traders will put in money if the developer is ready to do some marketing and development.

There is connected between the year of the dog in china and dogecoin because dogecoin is depends to the people who buy dogecoin.

At this point, price of doge is actually not normal yet as I believe it is still correcting. However, I have been surprised that even despite the fact that the person who created doge a long time ago has even abandoned the project, with no development and even considers it a joke, people still keep trading it for profit.

It is a speculated environment, so I am not really surprised that much that we get to see doge even making a move. it has a lot of support though and a lot of people see it as a coin they can easily use for tipping which is why even though it has unlimited supply, it just keeps growing.

the price of dogecoin is indeed a lot of surprises for investors, especially because of the increase and more and more people are interested in investing in it. especially doge is used as a shipping cost in a cheaper exchange

for now all depends on bitcoin price movements at the end of this year which determines that all coin prices will rise or fall, market growth in the next year will be strongly influenced by the end of the year so hope.

Doge is always unpredictable but I would not consider it as a coin I will want to be holding for so long, but would rather just keep seeing it as a coin to just be trading based on the movement.

This is a coin that lacks development, and it is a more of speculative coin with nothing much to expect from it in the long run. So, in this case, I would not see doge as a coin any one should even be considering as something to be holding as an investment basically, while waiting for a moon when there are likely other better projects with product that are not classifies as jokes one can invest in.

Doge does't depend on BTC movements.Doge has been pumped this year and even now it's worth 64 sats but the pump stays the same as last year,every year if you notice there is a pump in Doge even though it's small but it's valuable and will definitely benefit in this shibe.

While cryptocurrencies are still new and prices are unstable, DOGECOIN is on a steady rise. I am sure that it will pumped but not in 2018. Next year DOGECOIN will be in top 18-20!

Look for the DOGE chart for 2 years - it's the king of pump and dump coins! So you should buy DOGE around 30-40 sats and place limit sell order at 80 sats and you will double your BTC during the 1 year once or twice.
