If you would win a large amount suddenly, like a jackpot or a lottery, what would you do with the money? Especially if the money is coming to you suddenly, unexpected, and you were not prepared to win such large amount.

Let's say you would win something like 200 BTC or more,  which I have seen many gambling websites payout from time to time. What would you do with it?

1) You would gamble with it again, trying to multiply the bet, to get even more money
2) You would withdraw the money, and invest it into some financial investment: maybe some cryptocurrency investment, maybe some fiat investment
3) You would spend it:
    A) Buy a car or a house
    B) Spend it on women or wife
    C) Spend it on your kids
4) Donate it to charity
5) Start up a business
6) Hold it in Bitcoin
7) Other

Invest, invest, Invest.
Then enjoying Live from some Tropical Island, working 15-20 hours a week. To sustain my income to a minimum acceptable income.

Half of it will probably go to buy house, spend it families and put up a business. While the other half is to hold in for a long time. I hope the half of it is enough for the purpose I put up. Otherwise only a quarter would be for holding. Then I will try to focus on my business so that I don't need to tap on my bitcoin investment and can really hold on it for at least 5 -10 years so that it will also enjoy a good amount of returns for me.

200 btc is a very big amount for me. I will never collect it in my whole life with my recent job. But, if I had it, I would keep it as bitcoin. I will convert those bitcoin to my local currency, little by little, because I do not want to attract the attention of the bank.

Are you sure 200BTC is enough to retire on a Tropical Island, I think the costs there are huge. 200 BTC is only 400,000 $, I think only the rent on a tropical island is like 20,000$/month. I don't think that lifestyle can be sustained for that much.

I specifically did not wrote in the OP a huge jackpot like 20,000 BTC or winning like the big lottery. I was just interested in average winnings. It's more likely to win 200BTC in a BTC casino than 20,000BTC worth $ in a Vegas casino.

So with medium-size jackpots it wont make you filthy rich, but it's probably enough to start up a big business.

Invest & enjoy life spending lots. I doubt it'll ever happen for me though, I'm not lucky with stuff like this :(

I think I will just invest my winnings and not buy expensive things like car or houses. Maybe a business here, just to keep myself busy because for sure I will be quitting my day job and to consumed my mind not to gamble my winnings. Another thing I want to do of course is to go out on a family vacation like Europe or Asia.

If i win 200 BTC i would withdraw the winnings immediately to my wallets and will hold(120 BTC) till price of one bitcoin reaches $5k(will sell at this price and buy a house). with 80 BTC i'll be investing and trading.

Unexpectedly, if i win a jackpot like 200 BTC, it is unbelievable for me, and believe me, i need time to accept it that i have won big Money, and my first thing i will done with my winning money, i will buy a new house. Because i have a big dream that i want my own house with my own money and Secondly i do permanently investment, and Finally, i never left gambling, i will continue it like now i am playing it.  

Satoshi made 1,000,000BTC by himself. Wasn't that a gamble?

He put a lot of work in Bitcoin, and he didnt know if it will succeed or not, it was a huge gamble, and he won. He made 1 million BTC , and he still didn't spent it.

I wonder if he still has the keys, that is another topic. The point is that indeed everything is possible.

I would definitely choose the second option that is to invest. I'm pretty sure none in the right minds would ever gamble the money to multiply it just like that. If they do it, they must be really dumb to do so. On withdrawing the money, I would start my own business with the idea I have in mind and at the same time invest the money onto to real estate. With all these happening I would make sure I would spend the money on some luxuries as well as I have the right to enjoy it xD.  8)

It depends on my current financial situation but one thing for sure, some portion of it will be used in the real world since BTC1 with the current price rate is so decent amount to be considered.

To give some views on how much bitcoin we can spend here in my country to acquire the following:

-BTC10 can build a good house including the finishing touch.
-Less than BTC10, people can owned a brand new car. If downpayment, people can start even at around BTC0.5 to BTC0.6.
-Minimum BTC1 can considered a good amount for starting business depend on it's type.

Still from BTC200, there are lots of extras that can be used on other things you like. More importantly, be wise in spending as iproper way to treat our money can lead to wreckage. That BTC200 can be depleted in no time if abused.

Woot 200BTC if ever I would win that amount than I will improve my life style surely will buy big house and new car. Rest of the amount I would invest into a business to make earning for my daily life I think that amount is enough to get start a new life.

No one has ever thought about that i mean even before i gamble i just have a goal in mind after i achieve it i have never really thought what i would do with it. if I won one of those crazy big-sized jackpots, I would invest a portion of the reward in low-risk investment bank accounts, and use the remaining if enough to buy a house or more, particularly to save the value of the money with devaluation. I might also invest some in bitcoin.

200 btc is very huge amount even i could buy house, cars and anything else with those money but first of all withdraw the money is necessary to ensure all of my winning holding my myself and second step is i would hold it 20% in bitcoin and 30% as my next capital amount for gamble and spend the rest for buying the things which is i mentioned above

Invest in crypto and real estate.

If the amount will be more than 100BTC than I might not have to work for my life because it will be too much for living in my country.

1. I will start up some bitcoin/blockchain related business
2. I will hold atleast 30% of those bitcoin so that I will not miss the ride
3. I will spend some of those bitcoin to upgrade my lifestyle with new car, new gadgets and might be a big house.

Split it in to pieces. I'll quote some of the things I would do if I win a jackpot from gambling. 

10% would go to number 1 and 20% will be for number 3 then hold a big portion of it maybe like 60% or so because it's expected that bitcoin will rise more in the future. Lastly the 20% for the others, might do some altcoin mining or share the amount with my family.

If I win jackpot someday then I would quit gambling for sure and half of the money I will invest in real world and rest I will keep in bitcoins and wait for the price to go higher in future and will sell when its giving me huge profits as there is no point in wasting that money again in gambling as chances of loosing would be higher in it.

I will just invest half of my winnings in different cryptos and ICO so that I can multiply my winnings in future. Will use remaining half to cover my living cost as well as to establish some offline businesses in my country for passive earning.

I will probably do that 1 to 7 mate. Maybe only 1 of 200 I will be gambled again. The rest will be mostly spent on business, fiat investments and crypto trading. I am more of a traveler so I really don't need to spend much on house and car.

If I win a jackpot these are the things that I'll buy:

If I win a jackpot 50% maybe for cash reserved and for future source of income / business. Buying a new house is my priority, then car. A portion will be given to Charity and relatives in need.

I will do:
1/4 for build business, could be casino.
1/4 for investing, probably keep the coins into safe wallet.
1/4 for trading and do a gambling sometimes.
1/4 for buy a house and my daily needs.

For sure I won't try to gamble it again, I think the first thing, I will buy a house and a car and then I will take my wife and my kids go to vacation and I will invest 20%, I will find a suitable business to established, and I will held a party to celebrate my winning

200 bitcoins is like a dream come true to me. It is a lot of bitcoin that in the first, I might panic what should I do with it. But the best thing to do is to invest it in many altcoins or ICOs that will be coming up. Also, starting a business is good, and with that money, I think I need a financial adviser. Especially like me that is new in holding that big amount of money.

If I win that amount than I will surely go crazy and may not believe at first that I have hit an jackpot but if I make that money in gambling then would surely go on vacation with my friends and family and enjoy my life to the fullest by having fun.

If ever I would hit a jackpot I would save half of it and invest some of the money, so that I can still gain some profit. I will enjoy some of my winning and maybe go on a vacation. And, continue gambling again.  ;D

That's a lot of money to spend it but Well normally I will pay first our remaining balance in our houses. After that, I would invest 30% of it. Since I don't have a family as of the moment, I would still save for my future wife and kids. If I were bless to have this kind of money, I would also like to share some of it to a charity. Honestly, if I would win a jackpot something like 200 BTC I will do number 2 I will withdraw the money then invest the 5 BTC in the trusted site of crypto currency investment. Thats already a lot considering the value of its in my countries currency. If i do hit this jackpot price then half would go to savings or just hold into my wallet for future and i am ready on the risk of bitcoins price since its an unexpected money after all. 1/4 would be allocated on family needs like shelter/food/insurances/education. Then 1/4 would be on investments so that you wont easily be bankrupt on spending those money and its really worth that on playing gambling all over again. This lucky moments are very rare so that we should cherish those amounts and diversify as much as we can.

ofcourse I'm gonna divide it into 4 since I'm living in a third world country i could say that the one of it im gonna buy a house and lot and appliances inside of it and ofcourse some tools needed for the house. the other one im gonna buy a car atleast 2 car for me and my wife and the other one is a SUV so we have a family car and the other one im gonna invest it on a company where i could make it grow. and gonna study the flow of their business and lastly the last one part of the divided money im gonna stay put it on bitcoin so it could make grow too.

Obviously, I would do something for the community that I'm into, 300 bitcoins is a lot of money now compared to the previous times (where bitcoins are $3 only) It's the best thing that you could do to give back somewhere. Sometimes it's better to be there with the community. Of course, I would buy the stuff that I need and the things that I want, and I would save some for the future. It's nice to dream. :)

That is the most of the gamblers will do the mistake. As we all know that winning in gambling is very rare and it will happen or not no one knows. After winning big amount then you can gamble with a small amount to enjoy but don't ever try to win jackpot again with that money. Because in that process you may lose back all your winnings and even your hard earned money as well.

If I win a jackpot then I will invest that money in real world and in real business from where I can get good return for a lifetime and may be I will buy some apartments and give it on rent so that it can give me passive income on monthly basis without doing anything the only I need to do is go and collect the rent.

I think if I ever won a jackpot price I would start a business,

In the past I lost.much amount of money in the gambling but so I am not making gambling more for the Making money . Usually I made the gambling with the small amount of the money to make enjoy with the money with small risk but usually I remain in net gain only profit .

i will use the money to buy something i want and use the rest for saving into my bank account. from 200 btc, i save 175 btc, 160 in bitcoin and 15 btc in fiat. i still have the rest of 25 btc from 200 btc and will use 10 btc for invest in financial investment and 15 btc for trading.

from 15 btc in fiat, i will buy a house with furniture inside and use the rest for daily life, donate to charity, and start up a business. i think its enough for me to start a new life and if i feel i need money, i can withdraw some bitcoin from the 160 btc or from the money i got in trading.

If I win a jackpot I will buy all the thing that my parents want. It's one of the best feeling of seeing them get what they want. Me too. If I win a jackpot, a certain portion of it will go straight to a charity or to a non-government organization in order to help those who are in need and to give back and share the blessings the Lord has given me.

If I win with that amount of this BTC and the exchange rate is quite as much as my expected rates. I would probably convert 70% of it into our currency. Then I would first pay off our remaining debts, and hopefully I would like to start a business which I always wanted to do. I would startup my own restaurant where my Mom and dad will be the cook. Also, since I wanted to have wife and kids in the future. I would plan ahead for them will a lot certain money for their education and any related things they need. I would also like to share the blessings I had, so I would donate not to a charity but to those people who are directly affected by wars, calamities and etc.

I would surely invest my 20% remaining btc, I well planned investment will be great. Investment is still one of my priority, not only for my future but also for my parents and my family's future. For the the remaining 10%, I think of engaging it to Trading so that I could still play at the market.

If I win a jackpot 200 BTC or more, maybe I will do a lot of things because that is a huge amount for me. I will use some to gamble again, some for investment, some to buy something, etc. I will do anything if I win that much jackpot. There are many things to do and to buy with that, if ever we can win that jackpot,a huge amount. Everyone gamblers hopes for such thing to happen thats why they keep on playing hoping one day they can hit the jackpot. Im hoping for it too.

If I could win a big jackpot with such a huge amount of prize money, I would invest some of the bitcoin into casino bankroll as this could generate me some stable profits over the long term. I might exchange some of the bitcoins into other altcoins for investment purpose, as there might be a chance for altcoins to rise higher in the future. For the rest of the bitcoins, I would exchange them into fiat money and save them up in a bank for future use.

Certainly people should have some kind of hardware wallet ready just in case they win that much.

If you suddenly win that much the last thing you want to do is to get hacked, so have a safe hardware wallet ready just in this case.

Otherwise people do very irrational things when they are excited, and that could lead to mistakes. There was 1 guy here who lost 10,000 BTC back in 2011 I believe because he sent BTC to an old address that he didnt had the password anymore.

So make sure people dont make that kind of mistakes if they win and are too excited.

It is depending on how much we risk but there are games that even you will wager small amount, the jackpot is still high. Thanks for your opinion that in the long run gambling will just suck us and it's for real. But this is just an assuming on what I'm going to do when I have won a jackpot.

If I should win a jackpot which is high enough like say 100btc, one thing that I am sure of is that, I can never be poor again neither can I struggle for money again because with that amount converted to my fiat, I am made for life with the amount of things I am going to do. Tying to win the jackpot is the hardest one you need to spend too much money to do it but when you are really lucky enough maybe 2-3 times or single shot is enough for you to get it. 200 btc that's actually a lot of money . If i sell a few months later that is almost 1 million. With those funds i would make a small villa with a huge garden , i would get myself 10 cats from the streets and maybe 2 dogs so my cats can enjoy their life. I would also save 30 btc for the future will ensure me a safe exit to my home country during emergencies

If I win the jackpot this is on how I'm going to allocate the pot.

Ow never experience to win 200 btc but if i can win that amount or experience that i win a jackpot almost 200 btc.. i think i can only spend a small amount i think 50 btc is just to buy a house and more 50 btc to start a new business  that i think it can live for a long time or to stay increase my money to live without gambling back again..

Finding your fortune from gambling but not having any plan to gamble again ? Sounds funny to me. I get extra income stream from bitcoin ecosystem and if I establish a big business from btc earning then definitely I will think about contributing to bitcoin ecosystem up to the level I could.

I am not suggesting you anything like you might need to gamble again. But you have some plan like joining the house's (from them you have own the jackpot) profit sharing programs (if they have one) from the profits you might get from your business.

If I would win a Jackpot, I would make a reservation fund for my family and its generation.  When it is all set, I would like to establish a foundation that will give out scholarship to poor intelligent students.   Then the other fund will definitely go to support my church and will donate moneto institution that care for disabled person and senior citizen.   That is what I intend if I won a Jackpot price ( somewhere around millions of dollar money)

For me it depends on how big the jackpot is. If it is quite big then I will probably use it to invest into some things online like ICOs and other forms of investments. Most of the users make their dreams come true. In specific people update the living standard and if the same happens with me I'll be investing a small amount into offline business. So that I can make people understand that I'm making a self earning as well concentrate on bitcoin related activities. Only the courageous people gets jackpot, because very few risk big for grabbing the big.

More than courageous, lucky people get the jackpot. A lot of jackpot winners don't even expect to win probably have forgotten they made the bet when they find out they've won. Me, i'd probably travel the world with my loved ones before i think about getting down tonwhat i'd to to the money for business. I'll make the most out of it by doing everything i won't be able to do at my current financial status.

If I win a big jackpot I take 30% as my all time bankroll in the sense that I don't gamble anything more than that during my entire life. The remaining amount I spend 35% buying bitcoins and 35% I deposit in a bank. I never put all my eggs in one basket just to be sure. This is a dream though as people winning big jackpots are extremely rare both in fiat and bitcoin casinos.

I would do the same thing on which when i do hit that jacpot i would really allocate it on my primary needs and would never tend to plan on going back to play gambling again since i know that i do already secured my future knowing that 200 btc is already huge for me and i can make lots of things on that money. Just really to secure things first before those money would be lost completely on your hands.

I'm gonna withdraw it and split. I'm gonna keep half of the jackpot in my wallet. Then i'm gonna split the other half into different ways of earning such as gambling again, trading, etc. Also, i'm gonna sold some of it so that I can do shopping.

If i win in the jackpot, the first thing i do is to put it on the education of my child's, and put it my businesses so that the money will grow, and the other is put it on savings in the future of my family. We should wise to use money appreciate the value of money of our winning and were to spend because winning in the jackpot is not easy. We should be wise to use money. I won some good money on slots, couple times I won more then 1 BTC from one spin with 4 mBTC bet. If you go and tell bank people to deposit huge amount, they will ask proof where you got this money, or they will ask how you earn this money. So this is the risky method you can save your money in the form any assets.

It depends on the amount of bitcoins that I have won, if they are at about 1 million dollar mark or more then I would go to a few of my dream countries and most likely live outside my home country. If I were able to win a jackpot price in gambling, I would not actually go gamble again ever again because I would prefer invest on it and pay my debts and pay my student loans instead.
