if you are thinking to invest in crypto currecy, please do some research and read about what the currency does and the idea behind it. if you are in USA or Canada or EU, you have plenty of exhcanges to choose from that you can put money on, or buy directly from ppl on say localbitcoins.com

recently there was a huge hack in ethereum and so far we know that about $110 million worth of ETH was hacked (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2036276.0).
this can potentially create a lot of panic similar to the DAO hack which was less than half of this amount. and if that starts, the price will fall a lot.

if you want to invest in it, then wait a while until this drama ends and the panic dumps stop, then go in. otherwise you may lose a lot of money.

Not ever after all the f*ck ups going on in Ethereum.  If you have invested from single digits up to now then it's good to let go and hold something that has a solid foundation.  The 32m USD multisig hack could only be the beginning.  There are some rumors that the hacker could have gotten more but instead opted for a smaller amount to avoid another hard fork invalidating his newly found loot.

If the hacker gets away with this, what's stopping him or another hacker from exploiting the platform for some serious monetary gain?  Ethereum has become a hacker's paradise.

If you want to make some serious money for your investment in crypto then never ever invest in Ethereum at this point after many flaws, network clog, bloat, bugs and many hacks

I don't think it is the right time to buy Ethereum now though it is a good investment. And if you are trying to invest on some other altcoins my suggestion would be to do a little digging first and get to know the coins you want to invest if its worth to invest in. And lastly check it at the coinmarket after.

Yes is worth investing in Ethereum.There's a lot of project development of Ethereum. And will be cost growth on price somehow you need some patience because recently 110 Million $$ worth of ether was hack and this will be cost of dumping and panic selling of of traders to not loss there profit just wait until the drama ends and buy ethreum. Yes, Ethereum is a good coin to invest in. My advice would be to break of your investment funds into chucks and buy only so much (say 10%) spread out over time and not all at once. This way you can dollar cost avergae on your investment, however if you are investing for a longer period of time, i think right now, and especially if it dips significantly under $200 again it is a good time to get in.

Coinbase or Kraken are good bets if you are in the US.

For me to, I think still the right time to invest on etherium, remember of bitcoin long time ago of what bitcoin is became now!

If you are planning to invest for long term then I will advice you to go for it because in future ETH will be a great coin and soon it will start to grow again at this time it is down because of bitcoin segwit is effecting all the altcoins but when all this finished after 1st August I am sure all coins will start to grow like it was before. Have you read the notice from the etherscan about the whitehat hacker? They already securing 80 million worth of ether and the total of hacked amount that already drained by the evil hacker is 30 million.

I think long-term investment will be better, because ethereum is now in a difficult time, many rumors circulating worth millions of dollars hacked by hackers, but I advise you to invest long-term to get better results.

I voted for investing because lots of smart contracts created and ICO happening based on Ethereum platform and also after segwit i find best way to convert  my bitcoin to ethereum wold best crypto currency.

Right now its best to keep it for yourself than investing in ICOs. There are only some ICOs which are actually serious about their project and have dedicated themselves for the investors.

There are so many ICO's built off the Ethereum's blockchain. So I'm assuming if one of these ICO's blow up then Ethereum will go up as well. Is that a fair assumption?

I think it is worth to invest to it but before you decide, make sure that you know what you are in to. I think you must read more about eth gor you to know if you really want to invest to that. Eth have a potential but bitcoin is way more great than it. But is up to you to make a choice.

I don't think so its right time to invest in Ethereum. Do some research about top 20 coins & their roadmap after studying this plan accordingly which will give you better return I would advice you to invest in stratis, waves, Sia, ripple & Monero I think

All those who have missed the btc rally should invest in ETH now as this could be as big as BTC in coming time. So it would be right to say that your majority of investment in cypto currency today should be in ETH and than it should be in BTC.

If you would ask me then the only altcoin that is worth investing is ethereum. It works with bitcoin and depends on its volatility to rise in the price. Generally, investing in the leading cryptocurrencies is very good. Ethereum follows on Bitcoin on the lead. It has great features such as smart contacts, EVM, Ghost protocol that provides faster average block time, and many others. It has also been said that it is now collaborating with big companies for more development. So YES, it is worth to invest in ethereum BUT NOT RIGHT NOW. I think in any altcoins it is best to invest but make sure that you make any research first before hand you invest in that certain coin, because your money is at risk if you don't do that. About your question yes it is surely worth if you trade it with btc and not usd , i have been trading with eth and noticed the price reaches 0.11 btc and then fall again but if you invest for long term it is profitable the reason is let's say you buy now at 0.08 btc per eth and the price becomes more but as i said if you trade with usd it will be a loss. The price becomes 0.12 btc that means you got a profit of 0.04 btc per eth , this is the easiest way to get profit as well as increase your btc. So you get 2 profits one eth reaching to 0.12 from 0.08 plus when the bitcoin price increases.

I think it is but it is kinda risky too. I do not know actually an exact site where to  ethereum, but I have a lots of that coins beacuse of joining some bounty campaigns and I hold them until know beacuse the value of it is kinda impressing, but not like bitcoins. But among all those altcoins ethereum is one of the high values. So for me it is good.

I am actually worrying about these hackers reaping a huge amount of money without exerting much effort. This is really alarming since for a single month a total of 3 hacking incidents had happened and millions and millions of dollars were taken. Yes ethereum is wife of bitcoin and she belongs to altcoin family. Ether is as strong as bitcoin in that alts world and can benefit you always. So it's better place to invest in and it is worth it. The best site to start with is livecoin, coinbase and poloniex. You can choose any of them. Coinbase is wallet too. You can start right off when you register. I think it's worth it because of the many ico who chose the eth platform cause of his smart contract, ethereum now has started to rise after previously had fallen. I have plenty of them in my wallet and still I'm holding it for good to gain more in the future. As of now I think you should not invest on ethereum just because of the issue of hacking, it's just a pre-caution though it's still up to you. My advice is that you do research on a specific cryptocurrency you want to invest in before letting your money or coins out. Can not be denied again, Ethereum is the best and most desirable altcoin by the investor. Smart contract is very good, this is what is pumping Ethereum for the better.

I also have some investment in ethereum coin and I also gain extra money on trading ethereum, but I have also other alt-coin that I currently trade for now, there are some good alt-coin too that is good for investment! it is upon you also if what alt-coin you are trusted with and be careful do some research first before investing on other alt-coin.

You can invest but, not for now. Ethereum is still trying to fix some issues regarding hacking, so not for now. But there are good projects in ethereum and you can earn profit from investing as long as it's not a scam, so my advice is that you do your research and take the risks, to be able to earn the profit you want.

Etherum's raise did the Big Bang in all community of crypto-currencies few months ago. But maybe it was planned just like some PR step to attract people to think that Etherum is going repeat Bitcoins price progress, to make people to invest in this currency.
