Gambling is not the place people are looking to buy encrypted wallets from. 2) Would you care to get someone trusted to vouch that this is, indeed, legitimate? That's purely an impossible scenario if true mate, there's no free money nowadays and surely the situation might turn out to scam people in the long run. If you will have to read the thread most of members doubted a lot due to the statement wasn't so clear and the amount of btc promised was so big. Even ICO project could not provide that promise to give an amount like that, without rasing any project at all. Certainly this a scam strategy of non reliable individual who wanted to make an instant money. Title: Re: I will give you 468 Bitcoin Post by: adaseb on August 04, 2017, 11:40:33 PM By the way according to the video, you have sent 0.0768BTC to an address

This probably means that you could just use a program like hexedit and change the contents of your wallet to have a transaction that doesn't exist on the network. Title: Re: I will give you 468 Bitcoin Post by: qasimilyas99 on August 06, 2017, 11:00:06 PM I've received another wallet file examine email from Christopher Gurnee owner of btcrecover,
That… really stinks, but you probably got scammed :( Here’s the way the Bitcoin software works. In order to determine how much bitcoin you have, it scans the entire blockchain for all of your addresses to find all of your transactions, both send and receive. If it had to scan the entire blockchain every time you started the software, this would take too long. Instead, it saves transactions that it finds in your wallet.dat file, and each time you start the software, it starts scanning from where it last finished. The wallet.dat file you sent me has been modified. Somebody removed a bunch of transactions (including a lot of transactions which emptied the wallet), specifically they removed all of the transactions between Feb-16-2014 and Apr-27-2014. They left in a few transactions after Apr-27-2014 (and some other data) in the wallet.dat which “fooled” the Bitcoin software into thinking that it didn’t need to rescan the entire blockchain, and so it never tried to find those missing transactions. You can force the Bitcoin software to rescan the entire blockchain for all of your transactions by running this on Windows (first exit Bitcoin): C:\Program Files\Bitcoin\ bitcoin-qt.exe -zapwallettxes=1 -rescan It will take about an hour before the Bitcoin window appears. I included 4 screenshots, 2 before running the rescan (named “fake”), and 2 after running the rescan (named “real”). If you look at the transaction (“tx”) screenshots, you’ll see that the highlighted transaction is present in both “real” and “fake”, but above that a bunch of transactions are missing from “fake”. Here’s the first transaction missing from the “fake” screenshot (blockchain.info link) https://blockchain.info/tx/2649634a0cf6cd32d236c2e743024eb52647b153916a0fa628395a8a9f43c085 . It’s a send transaction, and the two from addresses, 1HeysdyVWNcaV9oPhgaHFSfHT5yiKgah7a and 176jVRkAfDAaevQJXScjQ8rXSi6n6UvY5w, can be found in the wallet.dat (File menu -> receiving address…). However the transaction linked above can’t be found in the wallet.dat until after you do the rescan. The very unfortunate bottom line is that this wallet has practically nothing in it, just two satoshi. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there’s not much anyone can do about it… Best Regards, Chris qa-fake-overview https://image.prntscr.com/image/uTYNGFmNTMqhoYFLgHtm-A.png qa-fake-tx https://image.prntscr.com/image/Sgn04LxNRhOpy66MYwRdsQ.png qa-real-overview https://image.prntscr.com/image/RGw_0mt2T_2V-ofrfv7Smw.png qa-real-tx https://image.prntscr.com/image/IH0o3GacTBqbJfQQw1pBig.png Title: Re: I will give you 468 Bitcoin Post by: aleksej996 on August 07, 2017, 09:29:16 AM Well there you go. It is good to understand why those transactions are kept in the wallet.

Yeah like I said before, that wallet most likely had the balance sometime in the past and the cheater basically removed the transaction showing that it was withdrawn, but he did it incorrectly because he removed too much and corrupted the wallet. Either way, its not right what they did because someone would of wasted alot of time trying to GPU hash crack the password just to get 2 Satoshi's Title: Re: I will give you 468 Bitcoin Post by: bitcoinicon on August 07, 2017, 08:24:39 PM Why am I getting negative feedback for this??? Then he replied with like one sentence and I told him to not message me further, now he sent me two PM threating me with legal action, and quite frankly I laughed a bit. Now I placed him on PM and post's ignore list. I am done with this clown. Title: Re: I will give you 468 Bitcoin Post by: adaseb on August 08, 2017, 08:41:38 AM So basically what happened was somebody decided it would be fun to trick others and create a fake 468 BTC wallet and sell it cheap to others to trick them into thinking they have a shot at the 468 BTC.
Some people bought it, couldn't crack the key and decided they want to get their money back by reselling it to someone else. The wallet got resold many many times over and over again and after some forensic analysis it turns out its a fake wallet and there are only 2 Satoshos in the wallet instead of the promised 468 BTC. This is basically the situation that goes on when someone buys a blacklisted phone. Someone gets an incredible deal and then later on it turns out the phone is stolen and can't be used. So instead of taking the loss, they just resell it to someone else in hopes of getting their initial money back. This is a digital file however and can be resold many times unlike a phone. In this scenario who is at fault? The one who initially stole the phone and sold it? Or the individuals that bought it and kept reselling because they didn't want to be stuck with a loss? I sold this wallet to 4 people at a time when .1 BTC was $100 each and have not sold it again since simply because I thought it would be unfair to those that already paid for it. There was no malicious intent on my part. Looking deeper into this all the people that gave me negative feedack were trying to get their hands on on the 468 BTC on this wallet, I have taken screenshots all the posts that link all those trying to damage my reputation to a thread where they are asking to get the wallet for free and even saying the guy that posted the thread "Not me" is doing nothing illegal and he is not a scam, yet I am being labeled as a scam. I will not sit back and allow you people to do this to me, I did not create a so called "Fake wallet" as you call it and had no idea it was even possible. As far as I was concerned this wallet has a forgotten password. In this scenario who is at fault? The one who initially stole the phone and sold it? Or the individuals that bought it and kept reselling because they didn't want to be stuck with a loss? All of them are at fault. They all sold a wallet without disclosing very important information, just so they can earn money on their expense. They all sold a wallet that they claimed had 468 BTC without actually knowing that it did. They also all acted like it was their wallet and they knew there was 468 BTC in it. That is a fraud, a scam, for their own benefit. Neither of them should be trusted for any further deals. They are selfish and irresponsible when it comes to other people's money. Specifically bitcoinicon claimed that it was a legal wallet in the video's title itself and that he is selling it as a lottery. That was all a lie. qasimilyas99 said that it was his wallet that he forgot a password for it and couldn't crack it because of the lack of GPU. But we know now that he tried cracking it ( he had the hardware for it ) and the guy from btcrecover said it was corrupted as well. Then when he lied all over about it all and changed his offer from sharing coins from a cracked wallet to buying a wallet and sharing nothing. Which shows that he knew at that point about the wallet's problem. Bottom line is that they all lied either way. Even if bitcoinicon bought the wallet or made it himself, he is still a lier and a fraud. None of them should be trusted. Even if bitcoinicon bought the wallet or made it himself, he is still a lier and a fraud. None of them should be trusted. I have not lied or tried to scam anyone and I am not going to let you or anyone else label me a scammer. This is an attempt to damage my reputation and that is my conclusion. I've noted email addresses, user names, websites of all parties connected to trying to damage my reputation and will be posting my own threads and will take this matter further even if you think you are safe hiding behind bitcoin talk. Title: Re: I will give you 468 Bitcoin Post by: Pheoxy92 on August 08, 2017, 01:15:10 PM So basically what happened was somebody decided it would be fun to trick others and create a fake 468 BTC wallet and sell it cheap to others to trick them into thinking they have a shot at the 468 BTC. I always laugh at first, but then I just feel sorry for him since he is so pathetic thinking someone would be afraid of him, what a moron.

Title: Re: I will give you 468 Bitcoin Post by: adaseb on August 09, 2017, 08:16:50 AM When you sold the wallet was it really $100 BTC/USD? Because looking at the wallet transactions it seems that the wallet was pretty active up until mid 2014 or so. In 2014 the price went up to $1000 and was declining but never reached $100.
Last time it was $100/day was probably mid 2013 or even earlier. The weird thing is when the wallet loaded, why wasn't the -rescan enabled so the bitcoin core wallet would resync the entire wallet history (not blockchain) and make sure it has accurate balances. Not $100 per Bitcoin! Obviously I am rounding off to the $100 for 0.1BTC. I feel as if nothing I will say will make a difference, all I am doing is lining this little crew up for their next service offering. I dug a little deeper and I see that I had wallet version v0.10.0 could this be a reason the wallet loaded perfectly for me? At the end of the day I honestly did not know that this wallet has manipulated or I would not have put it on my youtube channel and would not have sold it to the 4 people I sold it to. If you are technical person then you can try your luck & crack this wallet. You have 468 Bitcoins, but you don't have money to buy a domain and hosting for the website, instead you're using googles free blogsite (check YouTube description). LoL ;D Why do you even try and waste your time? Who the hell will fall for this? You can also ask me that why are you using google's free youtube, You need to build your own youtube, so funny. ;) Please don't waste viewers time by commenting off topic. It would be bettee if you think about answering on this question because no one told you to build youtube since it's very costy and hardest job. This thread isn't about him offering refunds. I think he did offer to refund the 4 people he sold it too. The reason for this topic is probably the entire principle where he didn't mean to actually scam those people. I am pretty sure if he knew the wallet was a fake hoax he wouldn't try and sell it to anybody else. But he had no idea, and then his past ended up catching up to him. Most likely its a non-english native speaker. Point is, even if the 468 BTC was real. Depending on how large the password was set, it would be very risky trying to crack it with GPUs since you can mine ZEC and ETH instead and actually get paid daily; gauranteed. Basically if the password is over 15+ chars, its almost impossible to crack. I did to sell anything to OP, OP does not want any refunding, OP only wants to damage my reputation. I want refund, Please return my bitcoin 0.1, Thank You. I did not sell the wallet to anyone via Bitcoin Talk, if you are in fact one of the buyers you will know what you need to do. I have sold this wallet to 4 people so I know very well who has been refunded so far. Please bare this in mind. Regards, Bitcoin icon Pretty bad how he tries to trick you into giving him a refund of his 0.1 BTC even though it wasn't you who sold it to him. No idea if he actually thinks his scam attempt will work. Why would you refund him, if he bought this from someone else, doesn't make sense at all. The fact that I literally sold the wallet.dat to 4 people makes it very easy for me to keep track of who has been refunded. I can tell you hand on heart that I had no idea that it was even possible to fake a wallet balance and not one person I've asked so far thinks it's even possible. Regardless I have already refunded a couple and will refund all 4 people, I have all email correspondence for every transaction. You can try and refund those 4 people but most likely your red trust won't get removed. It might be unfair but its the principle. Its like someone who goes out and robs a bank. And then later on gets caught and then decides to give back the money; he is still a bank robber. The bitcointalk community is like this due to the fact that there are so many scams that they don't want more people to get ripped off. Did you literally just get me to remove your negative trust only to make me look as if I actually tried to rob people gain? I really hate this Bitcoin Talk, it really is a snake pit! I have never left you any red trust or anything. I am just saying that most likely Lauda won't remove your red trust. Even if you do contact those 4 people and refund them, based on principle that you were being unethical before and might be unethical again. Why will you take the hassle to go asking others about buying a domain and stuff. With that kind of money you can actually build your own hosting site and manage it. haaaha ;D
