all these incidences could have easily brought about a complete and utter collapse but the system is strong and the faith is present. On the other hand, MOST money (BTC & USD) is locked up at Mt. Gox, and so can't be traded. People are dying to use Mt. Gox funds to BUY, as well as SELL. So we really won't know the direction for BTC until Mt. Gox opens this weekend. Yes, I said this weekend. It sucks, but it's going to be a long wait I'm afraid.
