Title: CEX.io - transaction is beeing processed for 4 month.
Post by: todualex on August 09, 2017, 02:21:36 PM
Hello

i have problems with cex.io withdrawal. USD withdrawals to card are rejected and BTC is being processed   since April.

I have verified account and all i can do is transfer ETH to my friends account who is withdrawing money for me.

i tried to contact customer support but all i get is - automatic reply with standard text saying due to high demand your order is processed it will take more time..... but 4 MONTH???  since that transaction BTC price is doubled.

Is this the quality and speed of service we should expect from CEX?

does anybody have an issue with CEX.io like mine?

Oh this is just a bullshit, I will avoid using them for time being. You are waiting for 4 months for your bitcoin withdrawals and they are not even giving you any words or ETA for it to get processed. It is just a big blunder, they don't have any rights to hold your bitcoins.

Have you tried contacting them directly via their phone numbers?

cex.io is falling apart in some aspects. I remember using their customer support ticket for some problem I was having a few years ago, and it took them quite some time to respond. Maybe they messed up some fees or they don't have the funds to process that transaction. Call them or find them on facebook.

no further updates so far......

p.s. forget about telephone number from google no point of calling as i assumed before.

I'm pretty sure that i've heard similar accusations recently regarding cex.io not being able to pay out withdrawals in time.

Lookingc at the screenshot the amounts involved here are by no means small and i think that you deserve your funds back with compensation for being so slack on the customer support and time it takes to respond to a simple inquiry.

Though, it seems like ETH withdrawals are still working fine. Is there any chance you could cancel the withdrawal request and go exchange BTC for ETH and withdraw?

There is no such option on CEX to cancel a withdrawal transaction. if there is a way - could you advise how to do that?

Ah damn. Most exchanges do have this option and it's odd that they don't have it.

Anyways, you're by no means alone. In fact there are at least two more people on this forum having the same issue as you. Here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2174542.0) and here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2181158.0). They both are having withdrawals stuck for ages and support aren't responding to them.

Any chance that you can get to London physically, or even via a friend? They have an address there. The amounts involved aren't small. The only other option is to keep trying to reach customer support.
