Here, social media and other stuff are even more prone to censorship and shilling than here, and you'll find people that know even less than the people in this forum.

It's not limited to Social Media only (Facebook, Twitter). You can promote your ICO with place ads on Bitcointalk or any popular crypto-news like Coindesk or any crypto-related blog to advertise your upcoming ICO/product . Before you do that, make sure you have sufficient cost to handle that  :D

Most of the ICO promotion is done here on bitcointalk, since all the social media and signature campaign announcements are made on this forum. The next promotion step will be through social media platforms.

Not just signature campaigns. There are multiple ways to promote altcoins - air drops and give aways can also attract attention. The traditional means are signature campaigns, avatar campaigns, twitter campaigns, etc.

Better promote your ICO here in this forum and then you can put up bounties and campaigns so it will be promoted also on social medias like Facebook and Twitter. Actually there are a lot of ways right now to promote your ICO's but since you are here in this forum, why not promote it here instead.

Facebook, twitter and bitcointalk are all good place to promote any Ico, that is the reason all the icos are offering facebook twitter and bitcointalk bounty, because these are where investors and traders are coming in, so if you are going to run one target these three areas.

Neither of them, bitcointalk forum is the best and one platform to promote any ico, beside this promoting on twitter could be beneficial for any IcoS

You can promote on Slacks or Telegrams too, but some people might get a bit mad at you.

Take those advice above which is very true on which this forum itself would really be a good place too on promoting your ICO and also those social media campaigns would be the best too since they show off in huge public or audience and we know twitter and facebook do have lots of users but speaking of cryptocurrency traffic then this forum would be the best spot.

I've also seen a lot of ICO's being promoted through advertising on Reddit.
Actual advertising I mean, not just by going to a related subreddit and spamming your ICO there.

Adwords is also still a thing, can't hurt to buy a few cheap keywords to advertise on.

You can also use Slack, telegram, reddit, any advertisement website  to promote the project and to gain investors. Professionally built youtube channels are also a pretty nice way to attract the masses.

i dont think github is meant for promotions.  Reddit is. Also Tumbrl, Instagran, different blogs. Depends of your project each communication platform fits each project. There is none that is superior for all.

Facebook is blend of all type of traffic which is non cryptographic and which is at some extend related to crypto world. So in my opinion you will have put big efforts in targeted advertising over the Facebook which can be costly as well as might not be as per expectation.

Twitter stands a chance in publishing your ICO but you have limited capability to express yourself over the twitter due to it's smart tweets. They are really short! So you will need big crowd to carry out successful publishing here.

GitHub is good site to publish the ICO info and must publish site because all the successful ICO are listed here already.

This us not enough publicity due to incapable promotion so you need to publish announcement at least on one of the forum and let the related people work for you to make it success.

There are a bunch of ICO listing sites if you google search  "ICO coin list" or similar terms. Good luck. Get some money for marketing. At least a few k.

Always remember with the forum you can attract more involved public or participants rather than social medias. The social media promotion is small part of ICO promotion. First you need to handle the project by publishing on the forum like this one and then let the forum members spread the word to thousands in the down line of their social network. So more the number of participants of your ICO project the more engaged will be rest if the public. Remember forum has people who are interested in the crypto currencies and they have network which is also full of people which are like minded. Thus it's important to put it on forum rather than straight to social sites.

Facebook and Twitter actually good but it would be nice you can also promote through slack and telegram so that investors can interact or communicate well with you so they are interested to be able to invest their funds.

Nope, bitcoingarden is actually empty there. The only reason why bitcoingarden have people on that forum because the subforum giveaway that always up to date and many airdrops too. I think bitcointalk still the best for promote and discuss your ico, because most of the ico are make their ANN thread in this forum.

ico promotion on all media in the internet is good. for the start bitcointalk will be a good place where all crypto peoples gather in here and willing to join the project if you offer them a nice amount of $ or token or perhap bitcoin for spreading your ico.

Aside from the above mentioned, consider also here in bitcointalk  where lots of users can see the offerings of your ICO. You can post under services if you want to sell something offered by your ICO. Also you can post in discussion boards to promote or discuss things related to the ICO you are in with. In addition, you can also post offering in reddit or if possible make connections to telecommunications company to dissiminate even better your ICO.

To many selections on where we can promote the ICO project but I suggest to maximize to promotion on social media sites since there are so many audience staying at there and people would love to see if the project has been funded well by the dev and you will get those investors just like what KickIco did. And yet It is also good to used to furom ads since many people could read and see the header of this furom ads.

Bitcointalk is surely the best place to promote, dicuss etc your ICO project. Here you can launch bounties also and the members will then advertise your ICO on fb, twitter, blogs and on bitcointalk. You can provide them with your tokens in exchange for their promotion services. But do know that crowd is very critique here. So if you have a good ICO without any holes then only advertise it here!

Articles, translations, youtube promotion and telegram channels work good.. just make sure that you've organized clear bounty campaign with transparent requirements and terms and so on

Using social media promotion isn't really bad thing but considering that even there are lots of people or traffic on it but it wont really signifies that you will able to get huge percentage when it comes to investors since most of those people aren't have the awareness when it comes to crypto investment.I would rather believe that forum advertising is much more effective than on this one.

not all forum are crypro related , most of them are just general informations or general discusions just like on most social medias , so i think they are still the same. but there were forums that is specifically built for cryptos and there were also groups on social media that is dedicated only for cryptos , that should be the one you should consider before you post and do advertising in order to get or target the right audience.

Having target investors is the real score for advertising an ICO to the forum of cryptocurrencies like bitcointalk. But also there are many people who are not yet aware of ICO's, crypto's or bitcoin in the world but they know how to use social medias. Before it was a good way of advertising because it can get many target viewers that are really gathered by social medias just for the advertiser but some websites now are not allowing ICO related advertisements like in facebook.

It's important to have coverage on many channels. I'd suggest one post here on bitcointalk, and actively keep up with comments and community questions/concerns.

Also make sure your website, whitepaper and any other materials are up to par. Video is huge, so having some regular communication via YouTube is great for search and community recruitment. All the other channels mentioned here (Twitter, LinkedIn, Steemit, Medium, Reddit, etc) need coverage, though you'll do yourself well to join the communities authentically first and understand their rules and culture. Just posting once is not going to get you anywhere, especially if you are a n00b. Spend time in them, and find out whose who. If you can create relationships with real influencers, their support in the various forums will provide invaluable feedback and could help you get the attention you need.

Earned media is another route - which will take creating relationships with media sites (anything from CNBC to Coindesk) and if you have an interesting story, they may cover you. This is great for your website and additional ways to get noticed.

Also, having influencers as part of your project is key. You may do well to find some, and give them some equity to help you promote your project and guide it to success.

Already there are millions of people daily interacting with the ICO website but the thing is people are researching about the company before investing into it. Do you have proof of that claim that there are millions of people that are interacting daily with ICO websites? I don't think that there are that much people who are dealing everyday with ICO's. What's on my mind is there are few investors but they have big money to invest in ICO's and these people can be reached out through social medias but most of the time they are staying in forums. Here is the best place for one to promote ico projects and this do not mean other one are bad but because bitcointalk forum provide you the opportunity to reach crypto currencies personality . I agree on your thoughts but there are people outside of this forum doesn't know this site but are interested on cryptocurrency that's why advertising on other platforms could be good as well on promoting such projects in order to widen the range of target potential investors.

To reach the normal internet users you can target Facebook and Twitter for sure. But to get the investors you need to choose the right place where you get them. I believe forum is main place where you can get the such people.
