My gut says you shouldn't need to plug in either, since the riser card itself should pull all the power it needs through the motherboard pcie slot. Then you connect to 4 slots on the riser to your graphics cards using POWERED risers, as normal. As always, be careful and do so at your own risk. But as said its all at your own risk.
