Oh man, there are several "real", i.e., physical bitcoins that have holograms that contain shortened private keys and are loaded with real bitcoin.

The first to produce such a thing is a guy named Mike Caldwell, he produced Casascius coins. Check them out here. (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Casascius_physical_bitcoins)

Member here, Elias, created a book that reviews all the physical crypto-coins. You can find it at his site https://coinfirm.org/ (https://coinfirm.org/). There's a free download available on Casascius coins.

Finally, there's a board on this forum where people trade these coins. It's the Collectibles board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0) within Goods. These physical coins are super collectible. Some come loaded with bitcoin (or doge or litecoin) and some come with do it yourself holograms to load them on your own.

Real life btc? Like cash, fiat? Actually there are bitcoins which are in paper wallets and stored there. Also there are silver coins that contains bitcoin inside it, you can have a look at the collectibles section. There's a lot of coins out there that are "real life" bitcoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0

These are as spendable as Bitcoin...but you can't break down the denomination. A 1 BTC Casascius coin is actually worth more than 1 BTC because it has numismatic (collectors) value attached to it (and now has Bitcoin Cash that could be redeemed from it).

People don't tend to spend them because the idea of Bitcoin in the fiat representation is considered very collectible.

Hi guys and girls. Did anybody thought about making real life BTC?  :)

I think we already have them and there are those who are selling physical Bitcoin coin BUT these are just mementos or just a symbolism of Bitcoin and not really the real thing. It can be a backward thing if we go back to the fiat money, anyway. So the idea is just to have something to see what Bitcoin can be if it is made into a real coin. Whether the coin can be minted in gold, silver and diamond the market may not be attractive into this idea in the first place.

Exactly, right said. I agree with you. But, real or physical Bitcoin will not popular like virtual Bitcoin. And some day Paper money or Physical money will not use so much. Virtual currency will be placed on physical currency.

Every person in my life necessarily loses a few times cash. Imagine what would happen to a man if he loses a coin with a code to 100 BTC? I have no such coins are not needed. Virtual bitcoin is harder to steal or lose.

if this is happening or ever happened in future. i don't think it will be beneficial to the bitcoin in any sense. its beauty is its not physical appearance. if it appears as a fiat money than i think it will lose its importance and 1 coin or paper money of such worth is not be able to exchange or will be dificult by the users to handle. i don't think it is a good idea.

Maybe , because right now bitcoin has a figure or people have the idea of how it looks like if it was made as a real coin. Its not that possible to happen this time but maybe not now. Maybe sooner or later if bitcoin will make more better.

I think you need to watch the bitcoin documentary films. On that film you can see someone who create the physical of the bitcoin at once to make a charachter for bitcoin that we've seen until right now. the title is " The Rise and Rise of bitcoin.

I don't think there will be a real BTC coin. That's is unnecessary. BTC is for having a virtual currency so why create a real BTC? Having a real BTC could bring chaos because these could easily be stolen.

Yup, It could be possible but i think value is a greater than any other currency that we have. We will never know and I know that if there would be a real bitcoin only the elites can have it.

hello Ganymede,

I do not think it's possible to make real bitcoin. It means making btc in physical form, and if it happens, then what's the difference btc with real money now in circulation.

It would make no sense, the BTC would lose all possible. It would be the same as paper money.

Cash bitcoins contradict the concept of crypto currencies. It seems to me that those who want to see the cash bitcoin does not understand what bitcoin is. Even if you make coins out of gold they can't be relevant because bitcoin is outpacing the rate of growth of gold and we will see on the market a lot of fakes.

I don't think so , if this is the case, it should change the entire money market , and it would be very difficult especially because some banks are against Bitcoin and i think that virtual coins should remain virtual , it' a lot easier like that.

When you ask that question in your head, I hope you remember that btc is a digital currency that works based on algorithms over the internet. In the future, if btc is widely used, I believe that there will not be any money named BTC, maybe at that time there will be a type of device that suits to perform the btc transactions quickly.

I see but your idea has been existing before you even thought about it. As I mentioned there's already a thing like that with casascius coin and that contains an amount of bitcoin and it was mentioned already by Habbear. And we going there that bitcoin will a world currency but it won't be a main currency in terms of government usage.

I think it's possible that as time goes by someone will try to create a more advanced physical bitcoin. For instance one that will communicate with your hardware wallet or have a hidden qt code that reveals itself once you use a key, much like a car proximity key or something. The possibilities are endless. There can be physical coins with hidden private keys that change once the key is revealed, so that a used adress is clearly visible on the coin.

bitcoin has achieved a good place now it has become very popular because of the new features that have been added to the bitcoin and we are hoping for the more improvement in it. Bitcoin is a digital currency and no other currency can take the place of the bitcoin a lot of companies are trying to find out the alternative of the bitcoin but I think it is not possible to make such worthy currency ever and bitcoin will become the real currency soon.

Real life btc to be used on paying up bills, buying goods and services? Theres still none but there are Bitcoin coins which do exist on the market which do have embedded some private keys which contains a real btc amount together on it but on the coin itself it doesnt have a value unless if the coins is created majority on gold then it might be somehow valuable but as of now bitcoin would still remain as a digital currency.

If this is true, maybe the number of crimes against Bitcoin will be higher. It would be better if Bitcoin remains an online asset without having a form. For the sake of security and comfort together.

well, if and when flash memory become more and more spacier and faster to write and read, the why not to produce real coin with a flash inside with a copy of blockchain and the block?
you can hold them it in your real wallet..  but actually it rather strange, the world wants to remove real money - visa, mastercards, samsung pay ans so on - why one wants to have real bitcoins?

Can you explain more clearly what do you mean by real life Bitcoin? If you are talking about physical bitcoins then there are lots of them. You can find people making custom coins and selling them. Head over to the marketplace and check for yourself. You might like some.

Interesting thought, but I think it would be against the concept of cryptocurrency. We already have existing fiat currency and the currencies like bitcoins are supposed to be an alternative for our traditional fiat currency. In addition, we already have some physical bitcoins and I honestly think that there should not be a real BTC coins as it will hurt the uniqueness of the bitcoins.

no, this is very different from my understanding. Where bitcoin is virtual digital money. In the crypto world they have agoritma calculations, what can we apply to the real world? I do not think so.

Bitcoin as a crypto currency is self-sufficient and does not need any adjustment. If it is a matter of making a fiat currency from bitcoin, then this, I think, is not a very good thought. If such a currency is given the name of a crypto currency, there will be confusion and nothing at all, since there will be no relationship between them.

yes that is right to say that people love bitcoin because people are using it as for so many purposes, people are using bitcoin for gambling where they can hide their identity, bitcoin is also use for online shopping throughout the word having the same value therefore i do not think that people will accept bitcoin as physical currency, where it will become difficult to hid our identity and to use bitcoin as anonymous. therefore people will only like to use bitcoin for online purpose only.

Everytime when I see the John Wick movies, I see that the assassins were using a particular cointhat they always used to transact their businesses, I always thought that it was bitcoins that they were using . Making a real currency like that for bitcoin will be very good and bitcoin will be a physical currency then.

I hope that will never happen, there are still many pros and cons on the issue of bitcoin legality as currency or the like. Let alone btc physical form. Although it's possible that it could happen in future if bitcoin has been accepted by all countries in the world.

I care less for BTC Coin.
I think BTC in my wallet online is okay for me.
Once bitcoin is in a physical form, I'm afraid bitcoin will somehow be compromise.
Banks will also try to buy off all the available coins and stop bitcoin from existence.
Bitcoin is more secure online, saved via individual wallets where people have total control of their bitcoin.
