I've seen quite a few coins with russian developers, is there some reason or just pure coincidence?

One reason of this is they want to involve in the crypto world like China.
Even russia have a regulations in cryptocurrency , they are some developers still want to adopt it.

Because they were ALREADY involved heavily in all areas of cyber bullshit profiteering *before* crypto.
The best Rootkits etc were always sold underground by Russians for example.
Russian crime groups have dominated the internet all along.
Take for example them hacking the fucking shit out of banks in Russia stealing many millions.

Crime + Russia = Internet.
I bet they are the source of more malware / ransomware than anyone on earth.
So what do you think is going to happen when they see the retarded scammy faggotry that is "Crypto" ?

They were already involved in internet area more than most countries so they don't miss cryptocurrencies age and there are really many skillled russian people in crypto

because Russians are more innovative then other countries. Developers are smart and foxy.

Russians have been forced to learn and defend themselves the way they know. Spoetnik is correct also, even if politically incorrect :) But my experience is that aside from many Russian scammers and hackers, also a lot from East Europe and America. But Americans a lot of talk and usually copying the elite Russians. Chinese are plenty too but not as loud and they don't show off so nobody realises.

I think this is the coincidence that most of the successful devlopers are from the Russia and they want to make the Russia country like the china  grow in the cryptocurrency like growth because they can so they are trying .
But also with that i seen at yobit.net where many coins which are high potential are using the trade with Russian  fiat currency , that cannot be coincidence because it is not easy to make the any currency like doller ( where doller is a big power after the bitcoin in this world ) .
And also here we can how much was the craze of the cryptocurrency was in the year 2015 in Russia and when one of the state government banned the bitcoin use then the price get down to 280-330$ , so here we can conclude that in Russia most of the people are using cryptocurrency for the economical growth and that why is the factor that developers are going to make coins more in Russia's states .

Many Russians are involved and most of them are shady.

Please show me a few genius Russian minds from crypto world. I know more Americans, English, German and even Chinese, Japanese genius minds in crypto, much more than Russians.

I don't think it can be a coincidence. There are indeed various coins created by Russians. Waves and eth are only the most famous examples. I think it might be in a way an upgraded version of the arms race between USA and Russia. Another factor is that in countries like Russia people know they have to make an effort to become rich. There is no strict career prospective in a country like this. Just look at the level of corruption if you don't believe me. As bribes are risky and everything official lacks justice, cryptos are a good way to accomplish something in this life, truly make a difference. And so they do.

Russian hackers are well-known in the world, Russia has some of the best geeks & nerds communities always ready to penetrate another layer of cyberspace. Just ask Vitalik ;)
As far as I know in Russian education most notably computer science is really good, especially coding. Russian have been teaching kids about computer science for last 30 years.

Actually apart from sanctions hitting Russia hard , there is indeed a somewhat true conspiracy theory about how many Russians ended up in this biz.

Russian underground was devasted by internal war back in 2010-2011 widely covered in media internationally and some of it still follows, the scandal of elections meddling in USA in fact in reality dates back to events of an internal underground conflict inspired by FSB and FBI moles within FSB itself in 2010. There were USA academic researches about the subject (for example professors Neal Weaver and Stefan Savage done a lot on the subject of acadimical research) along with crazy whole NY Times bestseller books written about it.

The crazy Russian bitcoin/altcoin/blockchain development influence is somewhat related to that war fog as well. Many Russian underground programmers and webmasters and guys alike were trying to find a save heaven in 2010 trying to get away from the devastating conflict within and found such a save heaven in working with stuff related to Bitcoin as Bitcoin stuff was not involved in the global conflict.

Those countries and their governments see the huge potential and want to dominate the market.

Russia and China want to be as the United Kingdom was in the Industrial Revolution. The UK became the greatest empire the world has ever seen.

Plus the fact the existing world financial system is dominated by the West.

They see the importance of crytocurrency in the future, they always have a smart head in the financial world, with their contribution that the crytocurrency world is becoming more and more popular.

It's sad many western governments don't see the potential here while protecting the old system and its winners.

At first, Russia don't see crypto currency's potential but later on they realized that it is worth investing.
Like China they are also into mining and they even created their own coin,Russian Miner Coin.
Seeing the potential of crypto currency makes them more eager to fully adopt the system.
They see this as money and money comes with great powers.

Russians has been very competitive with USA and CHINA even before so its not new for them to make ICO's too. Maybe at first they have doubt with crypto and they want to observe about it before but now crypto has proven its capability and Russians wants to take that opportunity too.

Maybe because they have bright ideas and the government are fully supporting them on what they do.
They are a big country and a strong country so getting the support from the government will inspire them to make a project that might become
successful in the future when bitcoin will be widely adopted.

I think one of the biggest reasons is, that Putin is walking forward with cryptocurrecy. I think some russian fundamental good projects going to be huge in the next year!

Russia is a big country which contains many intelligent people. That is why there are many people love the cryptocurrency and spend time to learn and develop their own coin. Well, many scientists in their country. I respect what the Russian has done to the rest of the world

Russia is a country in the technological rise so they are in all area of internet. Coins are  great base for cyber terrorism so Russians are using that.

I don't care which country of a coin's developers come from, what I care is whether the coin has potential . cropto belongs to the world.

Russians have already invloved in many industries relative to the cryptocurrecy, like internet, maths, cryptology and so on, they are intelligent and the country has many skilled people, they occupy the advantage

Same here i dont really care at all but if we do try to see most of developers are russian and as Spoetnik said on the first page i do strongly agree on what he have said there on which russian are already involve already on this stuff not only on cryptoworld but some of the crimes and exploits here on internet as long they do make money.
