You'll get off the Newbie account rank once you reach an activity of 30, by which point you'll be a Jr. Member.
The quote below from theymos explains how the activity system works.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)
Rough summary of what this means: If you post once per day on average, then you will eventually get the maximum number of activity points that you can get. Posting more than once per day on average is useless for increasing activity. The maximum number of activity points you can get is 1 per day, but your activity score only updates every two weeks. Therefore, it will take about 100 days to get 100 activity if you post once per day on average.

Activity is updated every hour.

The new membergroup limits work like this:
GroupRequirement
Brand New0 posts
Newbie(none)
Jr. Memberactivity: 30
Memberactivity: 60
Full Memberactivity: 120
Sr. Memberactivity: 240
Hero Memberactivity: 480
Legendaryoccurs randomly between 775 and 1030 activity

I'm not 100% sure that the membergroups work correctly. Tell me if you see any bugs.

You will get off the newbie status eventually; you just need more posts and activity points. Once you cross the threshold of 30 activity points you should be promoted to "Jr. Member".

I think you are not active for long time or not making any post! that's why you only have few activity! make some post first and follow some rules here and if you always active for months then you will be ranked .

When did 30 post,  you need to wait till 14 days to be next rank.
But in the case when you said you ve been ling time joining this forum, but still newbie??  Hmm something wrong here.
Let me ask you, " did you make a lot of post?"
If yes, maybe you are out and in in this forum,  i mean just make your account stay forever,  so when you are off, bjt still log in,  it will works by it self to count your activity.
I did it, then realize the mistake,
Jusg stay log in forever not just 60minutes or whatever.
As my experience.
Because it, s impossible if u make more than 14 post n been long time and still in the same rank.

You need to post to rank up it's not you wait and they'll work for you, just post every single day every day.

You can continuously post until you get to become a Jr. Member. Persistence is needed though. But we will be there soon. Good to post atleast 5 times a day with time intervals ofcourse. give atleast 15-30mins before posting another one.

It seems you are a Newbie like me! Just be more active in the forum and you'll get off the newbie status.
Once you'll reach 30 activity points you should be promoted to "Jr. Member".

It doesn't go by time registered but by activity over time.

Above someone else posted the various ranks, it does take a long time and a lot of posting to rank up.

Best if you keep it interesting and helpful and not spammy.

It must be a bug or it is not just post post dont give up eventually it will be fixed in no time jist dont give up hope if post about 200+ or so much and your activity is still on newbie you should report it on higher ups or moderators to fix that problem

I am not saying anything is wrong with the system but I am a memeber in dozens of forums and I have never seen one work this way. Normally it is just based on post count. I am guessing there is some good reason for it.

Is this why people buy accounts instead of waiting for those periods to age?

This post is really funny. Question that you should be asking is "how do I rank up?" and not "why all these other account are already higher than me with just a few months?" and it took you so many years to notice this and started asking.

I think, you never make post in this forum. You only register & join this forum and stay, but you never do nothing such as posting. You must posting on thread, so you will get acitivity. Your rank will be update to jr.member, if you have 30 activity. Every 2 weeks, you just have 14 activity. Its my experience and knowledge.

your activity must be kept on increasing for profile rank. When your activity goes to 30, you will be JR. You should post regularly for increasing activity, but remember do not spam, otherwise, you will be ban from using this site. You may be lost membership.

I visited your profile and as i saw for the span of 2 years you have only made 25 posts. You clearly havent read the basics. There's this system in the forum where your rank is determined by your activity which weighs upon the number of posts that you made. Ranking up in this forum isnt measured by how long have you ever been in this forum but rather by how many posts can you make.

It is not based just on the number of posts... otherwise all the spammers would be "Legendary" rank ::)

It is based on a combination of the number of "14 day periods" that you have posted in and the number of posts you have made... to a maximum of +14 activity points per 14 days.

To keep it simple, you'd need 5 more posts (to 30 total) and you'd get a rank upgrade

if it does not automatically increase if the activity has reached 30 and do not bother to change it so we only need to make quality posts to be received by the moderator.

All you need is 30 activity, when you reach your activity it can be jr.member, What I see here is because you stopped the post too long, if you are post every day, maybe for now you can follow the signature champaign
The question is do you post every day?

i have never bugs so far actually just need the patience to be able to raise our rank and no need to hurry to post because the activity increases within 2 weeks.

Welcome to the club bro. But i think you need to be more active in posting at least once a day or twice post a day
so you'd gain activities. 5 more post to go bro. We can do this. YOU can do this just dont lose hope
everything is worth it when you give your time and effort to become a junior member.

Well mine updated to junior now - woohoo!

Seriously though why do people really care? Is there some big deal about the different ranks? I mainly come here for the wealth of knowledge and like contributing where I can but I don't really care what my status is.

Most forums just show a post count and a join date - this system is sure different.

It's because more senior members are allowed to join the various campaigns and get paid in (alt)coins...

Unfortunately, this has led to an increase in account hacking and account sales and sales of hacked accounts...

And an influx of so-called "sigSpammers" who just shitpost to try and rank up and/or get paid... As the majority of campaigns are run on a "pay-per-post" basis.

Thankfully, a lot of the campaign manager's take their job seriously and will dump the spammers and others who barely speak English and/or just join the end of 4 page threads with a meaningless comment that proves that they either don't know what they are talking about, didn't read the OP and the previous answers, or both. ::)

If you say you have been newbie since 2015, it then means you have not been posting actively in the forum, which means you just have to make posts so that your activity will increase.

but sometimes there are also members who do not want to read in advance and more important to pursue the post so that their account quickly rank up.
actually for beginners, better post 4 or 5 times in a day.
I think this is more than enough

you have to post diligently everyday. your position will be upgraded from newbie to Jr member if you have activity 30. in 2 weeks, your activity is 14 point. to get 14 point you must post, each post is counted as 1 point.

2015 still newbie? I think you are only active to see the latest information here! To become a jr member you need 30 activity! Every 14 days your activity will increase by 14! At least you need 42 days to become a member jr!My advice to post consistently every day
