I think in addition to poloniex, there is still bittrex which is one of the big exchanges that exist today, bittrex has advantages in the field of rapid movement that allows us to trade and make money quickly. or maybe choose a hitbtc that I think is smaller than bittrex but can both benefit

For a start, no need to panic. You should check your profile settings and see if there was any in them changes. Maybe the thieves changed the Inbox. If everything is fine then you should contact support. They have more opportunities to deal with this problem. I have no problems with my account at Poloniex .

Poloniex is one of the best exchangers and I like to trade there.
You must make sure your email is properly connected to your polonix account and you also use 2fa.
My opinion you should contact support poloniex, explain your problem can also proof it.

Why not? You look at their turnover, a good exchange, reliable. Subject to US law, and therefore reliable.

If you want to trade on another exchange, see where the main office of this exchange is located and what laws it obeys.

First up, make secure your account is totally secure by applying all possible security measures. Poloniex had been troublesome for me a few months ago and I've never returned ever since. Their support team sucks to the core, ignoring tickets for weeks. Be sure to visit the site frequently to have an eye on your investments so that nobody can steal them from your account.

I think so. Well the problem with poloniex (basically all exchanges, kinda) is their support. Their support system sucks so bad that it seems like they implemented a support system that came from the 90s. As if they are not dealing in a fast phased environment and their support takes days to reply to any inquiry.

How recent is that? These days you can't even log into Poloniex without having a confirmation code sent to your email, which you then have to type back into Polo before they let you in.

I find it really sad that it has to come down to threatening the company's reputation in order to get what you are meant to have. I am still yet to see the higher level of support they said they'd provide after getting rid of the chat box.

Poloniex is safe and a regulated/licensed exchange.
It is complete and utter SHIT though. Many issues with deposits not being credited and support is completely non-existent.

Use Bittrex.

Seriously don't take the risk. Just trade somewhere safer like bittrex and always move your coins to your own wallets where you control the keys.

Maybe your accounts has been hacked by hacker and they turn off function or deteled notification in your email, because if they can hack your PC, why they do not have detail your email account ;). So, if you do not want loss your money in next time, you should create new account and security with 2FA before start trading.

Polo is still usable if you don't need any support. But my support ticket has gone un-answered for months, not good sign for a healthy exchange, at least it shows their support system is not well managed, if support is not well managed, makes you wonder what other issues there might be. I would not recommend polo for anything major. I avoided mtgox, btc-e with no loss, because I can read and act on early signs of problem.

First of all, I like UI of Bitfinex the most. My favorite overall exchange is Bittrex, and I am still using Poloniex every day and its great. I've deposited and withdrew over $20,000 and traded for millions of USD. Not a problem. Except for when it was down for 3 days. That was not cool.

As for their company, they recently moved to a new building and hired more people. Doubt they will be going away any time soon. Finally, they cannot just take your money and disappear. They are regulated by US laws.

No exchange is a safe place to store your coins. Always withdraw everything you don't need for trading. And 2FA is mandatory. Poloniex is a reputable exchange.

I think it's not safe, for me it is scam for small players like me.

2 days ago i try to open long positionin in the margin trading. I closed my buy order (before i buy and start long position), but my loan was still active! I can't move my funds to exchange, i can't make any position in margin exchange and this loan still counting lenidng fee.... Today, after 2 days, loan wasn't closed (it has 2 days of duration and i turned off auto-renew) it renew itself without my permission for another 3 days! WTF? And i click to "off" in auto-renew so many times before and now.... Today i don't know if after 3 days it will close or renew one more time.
And right now, they slowly steal my funds, because they force me to pay for loan that i don't use and i can't close... Ahh, and of course support still doesn't respond to my message.

Poloniex flat out stole .6 bitcoins - - they said I was probley hacked and somebody used my account to with draw the bitcoins - but low and behold - my email never got a confirmation email - so it had to be a inside job - so people get out of their - you'll be missing coins... and they won't own up to the theft - I asked what ip with drew the coins - they never would give me that ip that took the .6 bitcoins - and today that's worth well over 2300 bucks...

Obviously you should never stack your currencies on exchange sites if you don't need them for immediate trading.
Also always use 2FA !

My experience with Poloniex has been good but reading a lot of the negative press on here has me a bit worried.  If you're not in the US, I'd recommend Bitfinex as my experience with them has been flawless.  Unfortunately they're ending support for US customers.

I've had some less than favorable experiences with Poloniex and have for the most part, moved my trading to Bittrex. I on occasion also use shapeshift or changelly when using desktop wallets. This is making the rounds on reddit if any indication --> https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/6x1oug/poloniex_customer_support/

even if it is 100% safe, support is so freaking dire that if you have any type of problem, and many do, you might wait months for it to be resolved. no exchange that operates like that is getting a penny from me.

no exchange is safe for all time always try to keep 50 percent of your stake in offline wallet no one know.  at the same time poloniex follow dimed USA regulation policies which decrees its users and trust little bit.

I still believe that poloniex is still safe. But better to see and always make an observation about it. And do not put all your investment in a single exchange site. With that, you will identifying what is the most effective and more safe exchange site.

I remember when poloniex was just starting up, i've been personally using their exchange for over 3-4 years now, and never had any hiccup whatsoever.

A lot of misinformation goes out these days because a lot of "theft" or coins not being "recieved" is due to human error. Poloniex is still dominating in top 3 alt-coin exchanges.

On the 2nd day of my withdrawal, i contacted their support but they didn't respond. I was so upset coz it feels like they don't really care about your investment with them.

Im using Poloniex and never experienced a major problem. Also I don't treat exchanges as safe. It's just a matter of playing with the risk. Now I suggest you to send some ticket in Poloniex although they have poor customer support since you have no choice but to asked them what happened.

Now that you have some pending case in Poloniex, don't used them for now while your case isn't solved yet. Also moved on and try to recover the loss from doing trading again at another trading site. That's the reality when we engaged in trading exchanges today.

Shittrex and Crapoliex are both ponzi schemes and IMO honeypots. Good luck getting your coins off either of them without a DNA sample, birth certificate, photo ID and hair sample.

I've been using both since they launched, mainly Shittrex over Crapoliex since they had more currency pairings and didn't impose withdrawal limits. Shittrex's charts  and order depths haven't been working for a year now, bot trading dominates the order books, execution time is shit and the support now takes 2-3 months to get a reply unless your support ticket has "wire transfer" in subject. On top of that they delist coins without notice or reasoning.

Shittrex used to have amazing customer support, were friendly to developers and their respective communities and had a functional site but now since volume has been moving over to Shittrex from Crapoliex they've completely shit on their customers. As someone whose been using them and promoting them longer than most people on this forum and I can unequivocally state, stay as far away from them as possible.

Crypto-to-crypto exchanges shouldn't be asking for verifications when they aren't dealing in fiat.. bottom line. Second, withdrawal limits aren't required by any law that I can think of.. it's an internal decision. They are trying to act like banks yet none of your coins are insured by any global agency or insurance company. If they get hacked and you lose your coins.. good luck finding any recourse with a 2-3 month support ticket window. I look for exchanges with no withdrawal limits because I don't like keeping any funds on exchanges. On top of losing funds, you have to worry about what hackers do when they know your address, driver's license, BTC net worth and other government related documents. The threat of that data being sold on the darknet to some criminal organization is much too great for me to consider giving up privacy for some bullshit security. If you don't think some fucked up criminal syndicate is looking to target individual bitcoin whales for extortion/kidnapping or some other hectic shit, then you live in a fantasy world.

We as a cryptocommunity need to fully boycott Shittrex and Crapoliex and move our volume to another exchange in protest of their attempts at subverting peer-to-peer trading by becoming a pseudo-bank. I'm a huge advocate for individual privacy as its a basic human right and what these exchanges are doing is completely unacceptable by any standard. There are much better exchanges out there. Hitbtc.com for example, is a UK-based exchange, has been around since 2013 and it's interface makes trading on Shittrex and Crapoliex feel like you've gone back in time to 1999 waiting for the internet to crash. They don't have any withdrawal limits or verification for crypto-to-crypto exchanges you only need to verify your account if you want to withdraw or deposit fiat. Binanace.com is my second runner up, it's ran by the guys who started OKcoin.com so they know wtf they are doing. They have a 50BTC per day withdrawal limit and no ID verification because they don't use fiat. The only other drawback besides the 50BTC is they offer less coin pairings.

Enough is enough we need to protest with our coins against these bullshit ponzi honey pots. They aren't banks. Bitcoin was invented as an alternative to clearing houses and financial institutions. By supporting these exchanges, you might as well be supporting one of the big banks at least your money is insured with the banks. Vote with your coins and move funds off them before they are stuck there for the foreseeable future.

Poloniex exchange is very safe unless you didn't put 2FA authentication on your account, Verify your poloniex account and enable 2fa authentication and store the 2fa code on your safety email inbox or computer and install google authenticator maybe you didn't use 2fa that's why the hacker withdrawed your money you can file a ticket on poloniex it is user friendly and put a proof that your money withdrawn by hackers.

In my experience in trading at poloniex they have now a much better support than bittrex maybe because the volume has shifted in ttrex, btc withdrawal also are cheaper in polo with only 10k sats compared to 100k of ttrex, i recently had a problem in ttrex as my eth withdrawal has gone missing but after 2 days thet refunded it.

if you never activate 2fa then your account can be a victims to be hacking because i have this bad experience in 2015 but after i send a ticket, support system tells me that i need to activate 2fa and increase my level by sending document for verification. if you still have a coins, you are not yet increase your level and you are not use 2fa then i suggested to you to activate it, sending your document to poloniex to increase until level 3.

I've been waiting almost 2 weeks and not even received an estimate of how long it will take. I take this to be a bad sign of how they run their business and will not be using Poloniex if/when they ever do verify the account.

I have no reason to doubt them at this time. I haven't seen anything lately that is popped up in my mind making them more or less reliable than before. I have nothing against that website I just don't use it that much, for some reason I fell into using Novi exchange a lot. But I do have a cat at the other exchanges because they have some coins that Nova doesn't deal with.

The only one that I really avoid if I can is yobit, they seem to play a lot of games like setting very high fees and withdrawal limits on coins they don't want to have movement on and putting coins in the maintenance that they don't want to have moved around. That's their prerogative and there's no regulation or laws against it, I totally understand why they do it too, but when I have clients to I can't be dealing with that that kind of stuff.

Poloniex is still the largest trading platform. For me it is still the most volumn. I still participate and withdraw normally, receive soon after. Beside Poloniex, Bitrrex is a good choice. Because Bitrrex always updates the new coin that Poloniex does not have. However Bitrrex does not have a margin

Hi All!

How long did it take to get your account verified on Polo? I signed up today and submitted all of the identity requests(pic of ID, picture of me with ID).

Thank you!

It takes probably a week. If it's still not finished by then, open a ticket.

It's a dependable site. This site help to increase your money

yes i know it's a dependable site where you can double or even multiply your money but the problem is this site can be easily hacked by those who isn't playing fair. Their victims usually are those are new in tradings . Sad :(

I have a ticket in Polo for 4 months... still pending...

This is an indicator to: Take your money out while you can

same happen with me. I have contacted his support contacts and have tickets for almost 5 months but still pending. my advice do not use big amount because it will be difficult and very long time to withdraw from polo
it may be that poloniex is experiencing internal problems or something has happened and then making any deposit or withdrawal transactions pending and now troubling everyone

No, Poloniex is definitely not safe. I have been one of the largest FoldingCoin recipients for the last 4 months, and my $3000+ FLDC deposits would get stuck for days. Their support was so bad, they had to take down the TrollBox because that's all it was used for: people inundating the Trollbox, begging and pleading and threatening because they needed help.

2 months later and the situation is worse. You'd think that because Poloniex is "a cryptocurrency exchange based in the U.S. with Corporate offices in Wilmington, Delaware" that you'd be able to trust them.

I went and visited their corporate offices. And this is what I found:

And today, after 2 days my loan renew itself one more time (auto-renew was offf!!!!). I don't know what to do. Poloniex as i see don't give a f**** and still take my funds for lending fee (from loan that i don't use and i can't close!)

Poloniex is safe and a regulated/licensed exchange.
It is complete and utter SHIT though. Many issues with deposits not being credited and support is completely non-existent.

Use Bittrex.

Which jurisdiction is Poloniex regulated by and licensed in? The fact they have paid a $49 registration fee for delaware llc doesn't mean anything. Darknet prompts about their "old scam school" owners, so it is entire shit, be careful and don't trust it.

I make deposits and withdrawals from Poloniex regulary (almost everyday). That are not big transactions - from 0.02 to 0.10 BTC but not only in Bitcoin. I have never had problems. It seems to me that the problem arises when someone uses two accounts or makes some strange transfers .. For 4 years I never had a problem with poloniex.

Edit: Place - Europe.
