Do not sell them cheap. only about 280,000 or so coins have been mined so far compared to millions of WDC/FTC/YAC etc..

if you sell em cheap now then someone the buyer will do very well later in my opinion

given the volume and demand recently, I'd say 0.0025 BTC is a fair start. That's what i'll be selling at. I'm pretty confident it will go higher though, much smoother launch than feather or CNC

according to the trade on this forum, 0.0005 is the fair price

Some problems with getting deposits through I heard.

Hmm might be more to it than that, I moved some DGC over to Cryptsy, and they haven't appeared in the account, they are in the block chain explorer with over a hundred confirmations.

I'm at 210 confirmations.. and I wanted to be the ass who offers 1DGC for 1BTC right off the bat.

Nah don't do that, it will compress the candlesticks for ages, and ruin the chart for everyone!

I have sent other coins to Cryptsy before and they normally appear quite quickly, and it tells you in big white letters if they are pending confirmation. No such thing happening here.

I really wanted to get in on the launch but my mining rig blew its psu right when DGC launched.  Oh well once I get it running at full speed again I guess I can still jump in.

Try not to draw more than 70% of the PSU rating, they are not designed for mining, just gaming.

Cryptsy seems to have filled the niche that Bter held for a while being an early adopter of alt-coins.  It will be interesting to see who ends up with the bigger volume. I don't like the candlesticks on either site, harder to read than the ones on BTC-e. I prefer the line charts on http://bitcoinity.org.

If every seller put order at 0.003 buyers would have no choice but to buy at that price. Buy there will always be jerks (for the lack of correct word) selling it lower.

I never use any I just use cryptocoincharts.com but im not much for quick sells these days. I have relaxed a little. I could make more money per day but im looking to get in on a coin for the long haul. Not to mention mining 1 btc worth of a bunch of crap coins in 24 hours :)

Sending all your coins on the first deposit is a bad idea.  Especially a new exchange.  Always send a test batch over to verify your deposits will go through as expected.

Selling at .01 does not make it worth it.

If I had a lot sure but 175 is nothing I was just gonna sell em off and move on to the next. I have another coin I will start promoting soon. Just need to get a few more for myself  ;)

I think 0.01 is too high to be taken seriously. 0.003 sounds reasonable, on par with TRC.

The site is working fine for me and has been all day, it's just the DGC deposits have not been credited to my account, all other deposits  and sales I have done today on Cryptsy have been fine.

Yeah, the deposit option has been removed from my account so im guessing they are fixing it and not allowing further deposits.

don't forget cryptsy is still a live beta. Anything beta your assuming some risk. Vern is a one man show at the moment he updates his twitter on occasion but as his exchange is not even a week old not sure hes gotten into taking anyone else in to update the news etc. Id prefer he work on the problems rather than telling me whats wrong. Hell fix it.

DGC deposits just appeared on Cryptsy.

I put a sell in at 0.003 as suggested but people undercut it instantly. Miners are so stoopid when it comes to any form of commerce and bargaining. Why not just give the coins away for free, .0006 is near enough to free.

The buy orders are huge, the sell orders are tiny, and the sellers are going cheap, what a bunch of desperate morons.

There is like less than 1,000 for sale and hundreds of thousands in buy orders. No need to discount whatsoever, so I assume the sellers need  to seek professional help, or they are stooges put there by the competition to keep the sell price low.


No one of the scrypt based coins should have three zeros to the right of the decimal point, let alone four, the things take so much energy and hardware cost to mine.

Selling coins shouldn't be left to miners, it should be put in the hands of adults.

I like DGC, and it's Dev, but I donot, now will I ever have faith in Cryptsy. Nothing against Big Vern, but Cryptsy is not a real exchange.

All working fine for me, except the site is now slower than a dyslexic retard.

Cryptsy shouldnt be considered an exchange that appears on coinchoose IMO. One trade shouldnt create a coins value. You should need large volumes before you are considered a website worth anything.

There is not enough volume on cryptsy to give it any value, so they will just mine and dump for what they see on value as coinchoose as long it is more valueable than bitcoin, and it downhill from there.

I guess its time for me to create an exchange and make some fake sell orders.

Dude it's working, my first sell order is up, albeit slowly.  Deposits took about 30secs.

My deposit of 100 DGC has still not been credited after 30 minutes or so.  IT IS NOT WORKING

I don't see a reason DGC should be valued more than WDC.

wdc had the blockchain split rumorlast night. its undervalued atmo

* No pre-mine. In addition, a ramping block reward at the beginning so that early adopters couldn't hoard tens of thousands of coins before people could catch on. (ie the first 1000 blocks mined only had a 1 coin reward, 2nd 2000 had a 2 block reward until it maxed out at 20) This will likely lead to much greater market stability as there will not be folks who can crash the market at absolutely no cost to themselves.
* 20 second blocks greatly reduce orphan rates vs 15 sec blocks without significantly reducing the "instantaneous" nature of the coin. Fewer orphans mean a more stable block chain.

Basically, DGC is a more refined version of WDC, and given the option between the two, I see no reason to use WDC.

Also, as an added bonus, it has perhaps the most active developer of any altcoin I've seen thus far.

funny how dgc is supposed to be instant stable reliable and the only exchange is anything but.

Took me 7 hours for my coins to show up and it's totally unstable and not at all reliable.

I hope I never have to use cryptsy again and would prefer if they had just scammed me and taken my money because at least I wouldn't have to deal with all this.

The proper customer service response would have been "thank you for posting the failed transaction.  We have refunded your money immediately while we look into this serious issue.  Your refund transaction is {...}"

Ouch I put in an extra 0 inadvertently on a sell order.  Instead of filling me with orders at the top of the buy stack they credited me .000072 per DGC and the buyer with .000581 apparently pocketing the spread

This is not how an exchange is supposed to work.  If you put in a low sell order it should fill you against orders at the top of the buy stack and just charge the trading fee.  OUCH

The annoying part is that they credited me as if it sold at that ridiculously low price but the actual sales executed were 10x as high.

(update: Looks like Vern is going to credit me for the amount lost.  Be careful when keying in your sell price!)

I've implemented a new check when submitting orders to mitigate these issues.   It's easy to to put one too many or one too few zeros.
