Title: DeepOnion going down fast
Post by: ZhuldyzKaladinova on September 01, 2017, 08:33:14 AM
if you want some profit better not wait until it goes to the $0.XX, $0.0X and finally $0.00X pricerange where it belongs to

remember, 90% of the volume is the 'dev' selling premine chunks on novaexchange...

I see some topic say this coin is scam. But I don't join their thread so don't have any information about that.
P.s : I mean I don't follow their thread. I see this coin a month ago and don't see this coin have anything special. Just free. That's all.

It's not going anywhere near down. Don't spread FUD about anything you can't get your hands on.

the reason that price of Onion going down fast is not the dev selling it, just because a lot of people who already got airdrop coin in previous rounds but they are blacklisted this week, so they just break up the rule that can't sell more than 10%. But these selling is nothing, there are more and more people participating the Onion, and the price will go up soon and very fast and refresh the record time by time.

I think a lot of people just dumped  their onions, while it was at 100k satoshis in the last days. I think more and more people realise that the dev is holding the most of the coins and that hes staking all that stuff. Looks like a big scam.

I also heard about a lot of people that are getting banned in the past 2 weeks without any reason. All followed the rules during the week and didnt recieved any payment for this. This is not how to do a fair campaign.

Is this confirmed? When I looked on Novaexchange a few days ago it was mostly smaller amounts being sold which seemed to be mainly by the people who jumped thru hoops with the sig spamming campaign.

People who are always busy chasing a free $ they will mostly sell them quick and then be broke again because they are always broke.

I am not sure how much this contributes to the price falling further ($2 now from $4 or $5) and if there is a chance it ever rising strongly. I guess the main issue with this coin is that there is absolutely 0 real use, and absolutely 0 intrinsinc value and absolutely 0 motivation for any investor to buy a couple when people get 1000s of coins for free for spamming a forum.

I actually found a similiar coin from a while ago, which also used tor network, and it did also go up to $3 or $4 but now its been at like $0.0001 or something for MONTHS with no action. I expect this is either by the same people (guy) or a similiar scheme.

But when I checked Novaexchange it didnt seem to me like somebody was selling large amounts, of course the owner might be selling in small chunks, but if you have any evidence for larger sales please share :)

that's why deeponion made twitter and facebook bounty.
many participants got banned and open airdrop again with new rules.
how about bounty participants who they are quick sell their onions?

I wouldn't make plans long term for this coin, there isn't much activity around development, github page is crickets territory, it looks very centered around the signature campaign and not technology itself.

Although, I don't think people should get hyped about price increase or start panicking when drop, project is very young and there's no real liquidity.

This is what i observed too on which theres no activity around regarding on its activity and i see this coin was only get hyped too much. For those people who did get in on the airdrop would really benefit on this one.
This is just an another pump and dump coin for sure later on when the hypes goes down again.Price would go down again on where it is.

Is this confrimed ?

You can just go to their  official github (https://github.com/deeponion/deeponion/commits/master) and see for yourself. Still zero activity so far. Last changes were in July, and those were just minor text changes. Now is September. Not a single line of new code written.

You can see for yourself:

https://github.com/deeponion/deeponion

Not much happening there.

They seem to waste majority of time managing signature campaign, forum and rewarding memes, nothing wrong about that, doge still a great coin, but don't get too excited about going to retire with your onion holdings. :D

Ohhh this will be one to bookmark

Right. My predictions:

Bitcoin - Obviously.
Ethereum - Obviously
Ripple
Monero
Fuck it curve ball, Waves

None of which will make you a billionaire, unless you maybe invest 100 million? Or spread bet?

Bitcoin - September 2018 - 10,000$
Bitcoin - September 2019 - 20,000$
Bitcoin - September 2020 - 35,000$
Bitcoin - September 2030 - 50,000$

 ;D

Worth noting that I hold two of the above.

DeepOnion is basically a vehicle for the "dev" to get rich, it's a copy pasta of Bitcoin Plus with 0 new code developed.

Whenever the price goes up, you can expect the "dev" to sell some of his holdings. If you observe the trades on nova, whenever DeepOnion goes up, there's a single big dump from someone with seemingly unlimited coins to sell.

He's probably $500,000 richer already looking at the trades on nova.

Very few were lucky to make the profit through the altcoins, because the pump and dumping happens in unexpected time. Last week the price pumping deep onion was felt above 300% and the same coin experiencing a price fall in a small time period is based on the market circulation and such a big dump is not a healthy way of growing.

LOL... it's quite funny when a coin has a sudden spike and comes back to it's floor everyone comes out of the woodwork and declares the coin dead.  Show me a coin that hasn't done this, that hasn't had at least one spike in price with a correction just a few days later.  And remember, even the price of $2 USD is pretty respectable and the project isn't even 25% done.

There are two reasons of it going down. 1. some airdrops cashing out, 2. Illiquid market on an illiquid exchange, where crashing the price is extremely easy. That is all, shut up and hodl

Don't believe so, volume is very low, and majority, probably, from miners selling their coins, because miners need to sell.

If they want to make bank they need to make the project somewhat successful, they have millions of coins to cash out.

That would be such a threatening situation on most of the holders right now,and when supply was more I think it's not a good way to hold it due to less demand on buys. Air drops is just a free coins to collect and be traded quickly like selling it directly to the marketplace, worst case now is nobody is getting interested with deeponion due to it's market cap isn't that progressive. If I were that airdrop coins holders, its better to dump those coins immediately after it's listed on the exchanger because more airdrop collectors were really selling their collected amounts, that's why price is getting lower. It's like a saying that "stike while while the iron is hot" same as what's happening now, if you see the coins is dying; well you can sell it immediately in order to save it and take your break even profit.

I think right now it is trading on just one exchange where spread is just too much and so there may be some sharp changes in prices.

Even if it is premined, 70% will be distributed to the community plus 20% will be distributed as bounties, etc.; so, at the end, developers will be having only 10% or so.  With other exchanges coming up with DeepOnions, more interest in the coin will come and so lesser spread.
