It's been open for pre-mining with CPU only for about 2 weeks now by people that knew about it.  I chose not to do the official coin announcement until today, but the website and info about the coin has been up for a month already.

Still new to this mining thing. As you said that the coins are available to mine using CPU, will it possible to do it in laptop?
Also will it affect the usability of the laptop while doing mining.

You won't be able to mine via CPU anymore now that the ASIC pool is open.   

You can try but probably won't get anything... just open your wallet, open debug console, then type "setgenerate true".  That will start your CPU mining. 

Also, doing CPU will slow down your laptop a lot.

Any CWIS coins sent to the 2 burn addresses can never ever be accessed... they are essentially lost in the system.   Why would I send coins to be burned?   Because of the large premine, I will continue to slowly burn coins at intervals if there is not enough being given out as rewards in a certain period.

I think this project could be very good, if the people will get the chance to trade the coins easily and have a "fixed" value for each coin - it's somewhat crucial so two people can agree on a deal.

"Block maturity: 100 confirmations" isn't that too much anyways?

Well, it's the same maturity confirmations as bitcoin.  I know other coins are a lot less, but having that value high means it's less prone to blockchain issues.   Don't worry, you'll get your mined coins eventually.

OneFear, how much hash power are you planning to rent at nicehash?   Your hash power will determine what difficulty value you should be using.

Recently, Buterin, the creator of the etherium, said that he would change the algorithm and that the mines would not be needed. Do you have any fears about this?

That is only for the ethereum blockchain, has nothing to do with other coins.   My coin is currently scrypt PoW and that's how it will stay for now.

If you go have a look at http://cwis.cryptocronic.com/stats/ and observe the blocks per hour count, if it's over 0 your wallet should sync within the hour.  If it's at zero, then the chain isn't currently moving so it will take a while longer to sync.

I know that coinsmarkets has been down for a long time now and it is the only exchange CWIS is currently listed on.   I have a bunch of coins on there as well, unfortunately there is not much that can be done other than wait out the situation.   I think coinsmarkets will eventually come fully back online.

Don't mine this coin on http://mbytpool.com. There were over 1200 pending blocks all of a sudden dropped to 100 pending blocks and no respective payout to justify the 1100 blocks.

That was just an incorrect number shown in the stats by the mining software. 

I don't think there are many (if any) other pools that have CWIS right now.

Since coinsmarkets seems to have gone permanently, there is no longer any exchange for CWIS.  I am currently working on another project called Madbyte and CWIS has been back-burned for now.  You can still send words of wisdom for rewards as i still check/payout weekly.  I will pick up this project in the future again sometime.

Just out of curiosity, what was the last price of CWIS on CM?
