I think there are two huge problems concerning the Bitcoin’s future use in daily life.

1)     Slow transactions

It’s a turtle compared to most of the other coins, why should we choose Bitcoin? We actually need real time payments (as we already have them in real life)

2)   No reimbursements

Paying using Bitcoin (or other cryptocurrencies) can be really really stressful.
If I make mistakes in sending bitcoin (and people make mistakes all the time) I won’t never get reimbursed in any way…it’s not the same with FIAT.
If someone clones my credit card I have some chances to get my money back…what about bitcoin?!

At the moment, it’s impossible that Bitcoin or other cryptos are going to replace FIAT money in every day’s use.

Moreover, some more modern currencies have a better technology.
If we really will use cryptocurrencies in daily life, why should Bitcoin be the best coin to use?

This is the key question, because if we won’t use it, Bitcoin will be worth 0 and not 100.000$ as someone says.

It sounds as though you have 0 understanding of how Bitcoin works.
Bitcoin transactions are INSTANT, it's just confirmations that take time which shouldn't affect anything in a stable network environment. Plus this won't be an issue at all with the Lightning Network.
Regardless, all Bitcoin payments ARE real-time.

You can't make any mistakes in sending Bitcoin in everyday real-world transactions. You basically scan a QR code with your phone that the merchant gives you and then press Send.
If you make a mistake copying & pasting an address on the internet you're an idiot. If you choose to type the address instead of copy it you're an idiot and shouldn't be using cryptocurrencies.
It's literally impossible for a normal person to send money to a wrong address.

Here's the thing, someone can clone/steal your credit card and you can get your money back, but one can't steal your Bitcoins as long as you use a wallet password.

Actually the transaction speed is somehow in a better condition, I think the biggest problem of bitcoin for daily purposes is the transaction fee, if you're that rich its no problem but for small payments it is a total pain. If they would fix the transaction fee then it can easily be adopt and be used for daily purchase.

bitcoin transactions are instant. the confirmation of these transactions are also fast enough. for all bitcoin's history it has always been 10 minutes on average and will continue to be.

i suggest reading the white paper.

it is designed this way to solve the biggest issue that the other payment systems pose. the issue of charge back scams, the issue of each business needing a lot of registration, a lot of verification and information just to let you make a payment with old systems.
with no charge back, the business can trust you, and you trust the business because of its history. like when purchasing a game from Valve (Steam).

no, people don't make mistakes that easily. you actually have to try so hard to make a mistake in bitcoin because bitcoin addresses are not easy to change. if you change a letter it will simply become invalid.

I think you don't really get the purpose of how bitcoin works. And one should use Bitcoin in our daily purchases maybe in the future but as of now and especially you libe in the third world country, it'll be difficult to suffice your needs by using bitcoin in your daily needs. one thing i dont have any problem in transaction bitcoin thats why i dont understand what you are saying, Bitcoin is in realtime transaction and fast although transaction fees are too high unlike before. When the lightning Network comes-in the transaction fees will be minimize and transaction will be more fast. second reimbursement when you send bitcoin in a wrong address, Firstly you should copy and paste the address or scan the QR code in your mobile phone to send or pay using bitcoin in any merchant, if you manually type the address there are 90% that you will type a wrong address and it will send to other bitcoin or crypto address thats why addresses have Capital Letters , small and numbers so that you will have a unique address it is not made to type manually we are not in the medieval era where all are hand written.   

And besides, why do you even need bitcoin for buying goods if you can exchange it into cash and buy whatever you want. The only thing that matter here is as long as you can transfer your bitcoin to bank and make the full use of it that is okay. Bitcoin is for digital services only I think that is the best way to maximize he use of bitcoin.

When you send money to a wrong bitcoin address, the amount will be returned to you, there is no way one can make a mistake of sending to a wrong address when you scan the QR code and send the money and the slow transactions is mainly attributed to the fact that maybe you are paying too low a fee for it  to confirm very early. these two are not "problems" the first one does not even exist and the second one is a feature. a good and necessary feature. in fact one of the reasons why bitcoin is so good and used is because it has not "reimbursement" or charge back like what things like Paypal have and cause a lot of scams.

I think its not good to use bitcoin as your daily basis for now in the maybe it is good to use it but in the meantime for me i will just hold it and wait for the exact time that bitcoins can realy use at all daily basis

The bitcoin transaction is fast, like when you buy goods, payments will be faster. In bitcoin, when you’re sending, you can’t easily get mistake because you only need to copy paste your bitcoin address and you’re not going to encode it one by one so that you can’t get mistakes and change one letter or number. But if you really thinking about bitcoin transaction is slow, someday it can improve and develop new features that can make it more faster than it is now.

I think it is better to use bitcoin as an online payment system, because I see it much more comfortable, than to give my credit card details everywhere. But on a daily basis in shops or restaurants, i think it is still better to use debit cards :)

This is obvious. Bitcoin should be used for daily purchases because once we get cheaper payments with LN then transactions will be instant and restaurants and other places that accept credit cards can start accepting Bitcoin also.

In the current state of matters, I wouldn't use my bitcoins to buy a cup of coffee at Starbucks. The cost of transaction is greater than the actual good that I want to buy, so a big nope to that. Apart from that, there's not much who accepts bitcoin in their services, so I guess I'll just stick to my credit/debit cards and cash for buying everyday things.

For example you would buy something in the 1st store you would pay the fee for it and also the price of the item you bought then you would go to the 2nd store to buy something again and it would always have a fee for every purchase or transaction that you would do.

And the fees of transactions in Bitcoin not cheap, it very expensive = ~1.5% total our money or default fees for create block (if your block is small). So, I think use Bitcoin in daily purchases is bad choice, you should use other payment method for avoid waste your Bitcoin.

All of us have common sense so I think it depends on our decision when to use bitcoin as payment.  If you are buying a 1 cent candy, of course you won't use bitcoin, pay with cent unless your order is bulk.  I believe bitcoin transaction fee is still cheaper with regards of higher transactions.  I tried it and see a huge difference especially when we are using a third party payment processor, direct Bitcoin payment is still the cheapest.

It's not slow at all. It's almost immediate. And for merchants most other forms of payment are real slow because they can be changed back anytime even after weeks.

Most merchants will give you refunds if there is an error.

Obviously you missed the most important reason on why we shouldn't use bitcoin in daily purchases and that is the variant changes in it's value like if you bought something worth 1 bitcoin 2 months ago you could've bought it for 0.5 bitcoin today and that my friend is a huge waste.
And whenever i think i'm going to spend some bitcoins on something i remember the guy that bought the pizza with 10.000 bitcoins and try to not make the same mistake.

Slow transactions is currently an issue because we are in between implementations to address the scaling issues.

Once all services has implemented SegWit and the Lightning network is active, we will see remarkable improvements in

confirmation times. SegWit also made spam attacks more expensive, so this will also have a impact.   


No reimbursements is one of the things you have to sacrifice when you want to take control over your finances. No

What stops me from using bitcoins on a daily basis is the speed of a transaction. Nobody wants to wait several minutes to buy a cup of coffee.  Even when I pay for my hosting on a monthly basis with bitcoins, I have to wait sometimes 15 minutes, and it has to rest the checkout process which causes me problems and having to contact their support just to try and get my invoice marked as paid.

I don't think these are the problems .
Here we are much safe with bitcoin than with fiat because a single reason is not a big factor to make a particular thing back .
And i don't think bitcoin transaction are slower because when once we transfer the bitcoin then you can see in online directly but in the fiat we can't see things like this ( confirmation are ways to make money for the miners , so it is a important part of this thing ) .
And second thing you are saying that you can save your money in case of clone case , but why you are not thinking that suppose you made transaction and completed your deal but after the all deal complete the opposite person reverse the transaction then what you will do??
Ofcourse you will say bitcoin transaction are not bettet because reversible .
Here you can see that how many people are using PayPal for the international transactions  , very few no. Of people are using because it is reversible .
So it is a better thing for us that bitcoin transaction are irreversible

I think bitcoin is good currency to be replaced in fiat type of currency and to be used in the real life. There are so many services out there which are now offering instant spending of bitcoin in the real life which comes from the altcoins. Not to forget every altcoins is traded against bitcoin so practically making bitcoin spendable over the blockchain.


It is already fast and the confirmations will become more easier soon when the blockchain advancement happens. I like the idea of confirmation because it makes sure that we received the money securely and nothing is lost in between the peer to peer operation. I have read that when people continue to purchase bitcoin, bitcoins will worth more and because the number of bitcoins are limited only. So the give and take process will make the price go higher.

How can you say that bitcoin is a slower process of paying payment , here everything is faster and also it can get much faster if you can pay high fee .
If you are thinking that paying high fee is a better way to make the transaction faster is also a bug in the bitcoin then here i would like to tell you that it is a positive factor in the bitcoin because one person can't support the bitcoin system , so they needed another network of the people to support the network of the transaction and they get paid to support the bitcoin network through the fee system .

You could be right but you are looking at the small disadvantage and ignoring the huge benefit that bitcoin is providing us. Bitcoin is more like an asset to me. I agree that paying for small ticket item for daily purchase is not worth it since the transaction fees is high. And in actual fact, there are not many merchants accepting Bitcoin.

As a bitcoiner, I think that bitcoin should not be used in daily life due to many reasons: slow confirmation, high price as well as high fee. The speed of transactions has increased to a lot quicker and the size of the fee has decreased down to the values we used to pay before when the price was low. it's really true what you say, if we are paying a small amount whether we should use the fee exceeds the transaction fee, of course we will be a loss, there should be an improvement for a fast transaction but a small fee

You should use bitcoin in your daily purchases because if you use bitcoin you can gain a money interest in every transaction that you did.It is like ypu have a percentage in the transactions that you did.

We should use Bitcoin in our daily purchases to move the currency among different people, without much circulation of money we have less chances to make fast progress with BTC price. It's good to use Bitcoins, because you can skip fees that you pay using Paypal and services like that, so why not use Bitcoin daily? I really think it's great to use bitcoin for your purchases because transactions through bitcoin is convenient. However, if you can afford or if you have fiat money, it's better to keep your bitcoin. That way, you will not need to spend it and it can even gain some income if you can just hold on to your bitcoin.

1 can be used anywhere
2 makes us feel simple and not afraid of the crime in the streets
3 easy to do.

If that were the case, then I wouldn't choose to spend my bitcoins on daily purchases as well. That wpuld just incur a loss for me. Also, I'd rather hodl and treat my bitcoins as long term investment because I believe that its value will become high in the future. With only selected merchants which accept bitcoin as a payment sustem then I think that it's not ideal to spend bitcoin for daily purchases.

1. Compared to fiat they not slow. I paid a friend for importing something for me and it took over a day to get to her. I would not call that very fast.  Bitcoin is about an hour and the fee is low about $1 it less if you don't mind a wait. Compared to bank fees and bank yearly and monthly fees and the cost just for having a bank account is high.

2. I do understand where you are coming from. I have lost money myself withdrawing BCC to a Bitcoin address I don't control and lost that money. Yes people make mistake. You talking about protection. Though how much is kos due to scams vs people making incorrect transactions. You have to disopline yourself for Bitcoin. I think a nice app with really high security that checks verifies and matches the address you sending tmfrom and too that also cross references and searches all k own coins with the same address and tell you. That would help so much. There you go there is one solution so far. Or at least a good start to one.

I think its true not to use bitcoin in our daily transaction because its value increases high. It is better to invest for you to gain a high price than to use it in every transaction you made without return.

It is not easy to get people to leave bitcoin, because bitcoin is popular because it now takes time and process. Payment using bitcoin in my opinion can still be used by the people, because in transactions bitcoin there is no third party. This is the advantage of using bitcoin in transactions

Bitcoin is an investment for me so I will never choose to spend it for daily purchases as I want to save my bitcoins for future without spending it at a moment and presently there is not a single shop in my area where bitcoin is accepted as a mode of payment and it will take long time for that to happen so right now my plan is only to hold my bitcoins for long term.

I think currently the use of bitcoin for daily transactions is difficult, this is because it takes a long time to get a confirmation, in addition I suggest to keep bitcoin because the trend of the end of the year is a price that always goes up and later we will regret because the price is more expensive.

I undertand what you said, but I dont think that is a big problem. In 2009, Bitcoin was launched as a kind of payment money. But now, when its price is so high, people use it as a kind of asset. Bitcoin price is never Zero.

I would disagree with most of everything you have said.

I have a bitcoin debit card, and so I use bitcoin for all of my daily transactions. It is very nice and is not hard to do at all, that is of course because I work online and so my payments that come in are crypto currency.

However as more time passes, it will be adopted and new technology will come out to make it easier for people who dont make a living online to get into easier contact with crypto currency for daily use.

in this modern time, evrything has to be quick and convinient and that the reason why we should use bitcoin in daily life, no more using paper money, fast transactions and high secure.

Sending bitcoin is not stressful, bitcoin transactions are instant but it is confirmation that may or can take some little time due to bad network some time but in most cases it is instant. I think you're a bit wrong little friend. The Bitcoin transaction a few years ago was instant, but I guess now all Bitcoin transactions are not instant anymore. That's because Bitcoin prices are soaring and Bitcoin users are also jumping. And of course the fee also jumped, the higher the fee, the faster the transactions will be made.

For transaction issues, I do not think everyone wants to use Bitcoin as a transaction tool. At least not for now, as most middle people like me just use Bitcoin as a invesment tool. You make half valid points, like when you say it's a turtle compared to other coins, well known this first of all, your transaction will get confirmed sooner only if you pay more transaction fees. Because at the end of the everyone wants profit, your low fee transaction will only be accelerated after the high fee ones are completed.
Bitcoin sadly is not used for hugeass purchases at the moment by most of the people.  Can you explain me how can one clone your bitcoin, or do you mean a bitcoin debit card? Well I guess I haven't heard any one having issues with it except for that of the fees.

True.  Although, sites have secured payment transactions.  It still make's me feel uncomfortable giving my card details.

That’s true but now bitcoin transaction has become more fast because now almost every markets has the bitcoin service so you are right it is good to use for all kind of shopping it is even more easy and more reliable that we can buy all kind of things online and will not have to go out of home in this cold weather. Bitcoin conformation is not even take time it takes an hour or two so it is good to use to buy all kind of goods.
