what do you think will be the future of this market? and what needs to change so governments will start to recognize it as a currency?

Governments typically cater to the will of those who wield the greatest political influence. Money is correlated with political influence. The more money someone has & the more they're willing to spend it towards funding political campaigns and lobbyist efforts, this grants a person political influence. Owning guns and weapons also gives a person or group political influence. It might be fair to say the reason the united states had the most political influence in the world was due to it having a lot of money, a wealthy economy and having a powerful military.

In asking which policy a government is likely to embrace, the question of which policy is advocated by those who wield the greatest political influence comes into play. If those with the most political influence want bitcoin to be recognized as a currency, that is typically the policy politicians will adopt.

The whole value proposition of Bitcoin is that it works even if governments don't recognize it as a currency or as anything. The question is, how high can the price go without government recognition?

I think it can keep going up, but if the government decides to get in too, it would obviously make the price pump like a motherfucker, since most people are drones and need government approval.

There's also the paradox of how if the coin gets government approval, it may mean that it is not disruptive enough.

I think the market will last long until bitcoin is gone, obviously already bitcoin will not disappear always a lot of devotees. Nothing has to be changed, if there is something to change it must be real shape. The government only sees the real as gold or paper money.

I think the future market of bitcoin will skyrocket to the moon. When time comes, bitcoin community will become popular and many investors will support this kind of business because they will realize the great potential of bitcoin when it comes to fast transaction and security of their money. Someday government will recognize this currency and they will be convince to know much more about bitcoin. Hopefully this will not affects bitcoiner income when it comes to taxes lol 😅🤑

I was worried, but there were rumors that this was politics. The government should protect freedom and bitcoin is financial freedom.
The government should not be afraid of losing income, because everyone left the bank. This is not fair.

Only a few government will recognized bitcoin as it is. But most of them are against it because of it decentralized nature. The closest thing we can get is that a government will put a tighter regulations on bitcoin, but not totally adopt as Japan or Australia did. We will have to wait and see, but I seriously doubt that many will follow because the design of bitcoin is that no one can have total control of it, not even government.

I think that for the development of bitcoin is not necessarily the adoption of the government, it is enough not to prohibit its use in the country. He anonymous currency and acceptance can deprive him of such a function.

I somewhat agree with you. If someone ask me whether you wanna see Bitcoin to be legal or illegal, I would say 'just leave it as it is'.
In almost all countries, governments have check when people trade Bitcoins for fiat currencies. I think this is enough to fulfil governments' concern. It would be good if Bitcoin ecosystem remain out of any kind of regulation either in positive or negative sense.

Unfortunately , for my government think that bitcoin is a disaster that must not be create since bitcoin can be use for criminal activity which our government is very against of it.
All I can say is when all country already legalize bitcoin , my government may start to change their mind to accept bitcoin as well

Short/Immediate term though, things aren't looking good at this moment.  I'm actually surprised that it's value is still as high as it is currently.

This can't be use as the national or international currency because there are still so many problems of bitcoin in transaction there is still delay of the funds when you send it, that's is one of the reason why the government can't just approve it as a currency.

I think the future of bitcoin is very good because many people are getting interested in using bitcoin as a currency but there are still many systems that need to be fixed from bitcoin to make it easier to use and understand for people new to bitcoin.

The more I think about it the more unconfidant I am. Generaly everything seems to be fine for me exapt the huge ICO bubble. Sooner or later people will stop mindlessly buying all tokens and that may affect the BTC price (and total market cap of all cryptocurrencies) thru decreasing of ETH demand. That would be harmfull but hopefully not fatal.

Volatility would still be there, and many governments would soon regulate bitcoin on the positive side as soon as they get how it works. What we lack right now is true adoption and not just big overnight gains. Price surges is very probable with a large unique user base. If we are having enormous gains with just a few who actually buys, what more if we add up more people into the statistics, right? The future is bright for bitcoin.

WE do not need recognition from the government at all. We can make this community bigger and bigger everyday by ourselves without depending on the government. BItcoin and the cryptocurrency are based on the decentralized system and therefore, we can not expect the government to accept it as a tradition currency

Some governments are already recognizing bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. I think the market will be very big in the future. Governments will be forced to accept it and maybe place laws that will make cryptocurrency legal.

In governments perspective there is no future of bitcoin or virtual currency market because they simply mean nothing to government. It's not very big thing for government because it is itself a big organised authority which has more real responsibility than looking after the assets like bitcoin. The bitcoin is really a limited thing, and if you distribute one bit of it every person on the earth then also it's not sufficient to al of them so there is no real business with it because it doesn't really fit the criteria of fiat reality. Just think on it. Just think if you are government and you have to put bitcoin as currency to be used in economy of reality would it be enough to tackle the demanding supply that we are currently facing. I think no. Not at all.

My opinion is same about future of bitcoin, some governments already legalized bitcoin and in future there can be just more country that will follow. Bitcoin is growing market, each year its bigger as more people are joining, and why people are joining, cause we already said many times bitcoin is just far more better then fiat currencies. Technology is now on high level and many young people are choosing technology over tradition, and in future that trend will continue. It is just a matter of time as you said it, for who knows how many years new generations will be much more bitcoin and technology oriented then ever, when that happen we can expect all governments in the world to accept bitcoin, maybe not all some will stay in past, there is always such cases.

Not only some, but I'd say most of the modern world does. For instance there are laws concerning it all throughout Europe. In each of the EU countries you can go to the Police and say your BTC was stolen and they'll know what you're talking about and do the paperwork. You can also get charged for avoiding taxes from bitcoin sales, report profits from those sales, register a crypto company, like an exchange, and so on.

The future of the market? I think the market is going to be independent of itself and thats the way it is going to be for a long time. It can only change to something I can't predict for now when any government tries to make a policy against it like we are just witnessing in China but, I don't see it overriding paper money. They can only trade side by side.

Then why think on the first place that government will lose income? Or they really cared about that as main concern?

And never it will happened that everyone will left bank. That is impossible to happen since we are not talking about just money here in terms of comparing bitcoin and banking industry. There are such things today that needs banks services which even bitcoin will be bloom, I doubt bitcoin exchanges will do or will have the same services.

I think that bitcoin will become famous and it will be used in many places. The government, on the other hand, does not like bitcoin at all but they will have to accept it as a form of payment since there are too many people using bitcoin and the cryptocurrency. The future of the crypto currency market is not certain worldwide. It depends on a lot of people who are closely associated with the market and also on the government's policy. The legal status of bitcoin is still not certain in majority of the countries. That's why bitcoin is creating a parallel economy instead of becoming a main stream currency.

However, it is really hard for the government to accept bitcoin as a mainstream currency because it is structurally not fit to become a main stream currency. The main road block is that bitcoin is not generated by the government, neither it is controlled by them. Government will never want to accept anything which is not generated by them, specially money. Hence, the chance of becoming a main stream currency for bitcoin is really gloomy at this moment.

Consider the advantages of bitcoin which will always attract more adopters to invest in bitcoin, more merchants, business and companies accept bitcoin as payment method, I'm pretty sure bitcoin will continue to grow over $9,000 in 2018. Depends on your perspective about the future, is it 5 years or 10 years later? Bitcoin may reach $30K or $50K if you still alive until those days.

Governments can’t do any bad to crypto market. People are awfully impressed by these latest digital currencies and they love to deal in bitcoins and rest of the famous coins. I don’t think so public will let governments ban these currencies forever. After few years, when maximum people will be suing digital currencies, governments will be forced to make them legal.

I think over time cryptocurrencies will gradually begin to catch on as an investment first, then a way to send money around the world and to store funds, and finally as a form of payment.

I think governments around the world will learn to accept Bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies because they can't stop technological progress. They will learn to adapt to it eventually.

The market that we have right now needs a lot of improvement on its system and other factors like having a great and stable demand for the market so the price will not become so volatile and it will attract attention from different people in the world who want to try something that can change their life and lifestyle.

I know that time will come the government will make a move toward bitcoin, probably they imposed rule and regulations. And it may happens, bitcoin could have a possibilities that the government will take controlled on it and they force as to state our real identity.

The future of crypto currency is really great and looking at the exponential growth that it is experiencing I'm pretty sure it's value would be worth investing for us and for the government itself. The government will engage operations to legalise it in the way so that they won't hurt the principle of bitcoin that is "decentralised working" but still they will incur taxes on it and let people use it the way they want and as much as they would want.

Personally, after seeing the growth of bitcoin in the past and specially this year alone, there is no doubt that bitcoin price will reach new heights in the future. Almost all class of the society are already into it. Even Hollywood or sports personalities are seeing bitcoin as a good investment and that makes the future of bitcoin really good. I can only speculate that maybe in 5 years time. Bitcoin can grow in $30K or $50K.


All eyes is on Japan right now. It they are successful legalizing bitcoin then maybe in just few years more country will follow what Japan has set. We may see some anti-bitcoin nation become bitcoin friendly because it only makes sense to do so otherwise they will be left out. Great question man. I think most economists these days are in agreement that Bitcoin will someday be worth $500,000. If not, then certainly they are projecting over $5,000 in the short term... and I think so too.

Bitcoin has a great future ahead its market continue to grow and gets more popularity as the years passes by and I think the government already accept it as a currency because we can actually use it around the world its just that government doesn't have the control over the market of bitcoin.

No matter what happens with this market the bitcoin will be the asset or store value though all years. It can't be currency for the government as long as it doesn't have physical form and proper protocol of regulating the same. We never say that gold is currency even though it has physical form because its just precious metal and government accepts it as it is. So why would they go saying that bitcoin is currency. Bitcoin currency is concept of us, the crypto community and just to recognise it by some means we cal it off the currency. May be there needs some explanation between how currency works and how an asset works really. There is always huge difference between them so I guess the question is vague at this point. Please don't be offended by what I'm saying, but I think it's wrong to think that bitcoin has a bright future ahead, because it's price has been "hiking from 4000$ to nearly 8000$ in just 1 and a half month". This is bubble behaviour, and it could mean the end of bitcoin. Bitcoin has a great future, because it has real value, other than the rise in it's price. Don't follow the "Greater Fool" theory, assuming that you can buy bitcoin now, just to be able to sell it at a higher price for someone else in the future. This would mean bitcoin is just a speculative asset and nothing else. If this was true, and people start selling bitcoin, everyone would keep on selling, because if the price was decreasing, then bitcoin would have no value for them.

Bitcoin has a future because it's revolutionizing the financial world. Is being seen as an alternative to banks. We don't need to only rely on them to keep our money safe. We have control over our own money with bitcoin. We don't need the middle man, and since it's not linked to any particular country or group, we are safe from governments as well, and hyperinflation.

Public officials always work for the future and the interest of nation and country. Well by this market you must mean bitcoin, I think that realistically it will always struggle to be accepted as a currency but in time will become a more and more common accepted means of payment. To be accepted as a currency it will need a lot of criteria to be met which are not currently.

I do see regulated framework coming in when it comes to the crypto trading, especially if it is involving the crypto/fiat trades. Governments will make it mandatory for the domestic exchanges to collect and share the KYC/transactions database of traders in order to determine the tax liability of the users. The legal framework is on the way but it will take about a year or 2 in most of the countries to at least get an exact idea of it. Crypto market will not go anywhere but it will transform in a structured manner.

the market will be more attractive since every day we have seen many new coins is launch in every market and many people want to buy the coins. the government will need to learn about digital currency so they can know what the different and if they want to make regulations for digital currency, they will make some rules or one border line between online and offline world. of course the government will make approaching to digital currency user before they apply the regulations so there will be no panic from people.

i think goverment already recognize bitcoin. In a democratic country, the people have sovereign power. If there were many citizens who use bitcoin, then the government would have no choice but to make some actions and do something about it. I'm not worried about countries creating their own cryptocurrencies I know that is going to deceive a lot of people but at the end they are going to create their crypto with the same flaws as their fiat, people do not choose bitcoin to be fashionable we choose it because it is a superior coins and they have no interest in creating something like that so bitcoin will always be the number one cryptocurrency.

If its being created by the government then expect it would really be just like fiat currency knowing that those things are still centralized which means they do have still the full control of it which is really different into Bitcoin and other altcoins in the market which we can feel freedom on what we are experiencing as of now.Future of market of crypto would somehow sustain for upcoming years.

The future of this market will continue to grow and well known as day goes by. Actually lots of government already recognize it as a currency is just that simply they cannot implement it yet and because not all people know the real use or how to invest in bitcoins. There are mayny chances to create and introduce their own crypto currencies instead of fiat. But doesn't create any short term profits like now. Its really better to keep away the crypto currency from governments.

I'm sure that many companies and organisations around the world will adopt and invest in bitcoin thus making it spread even more around the world . Actually lots of companies have already done that and there's even big names like Microsoft .
It'll certainly be considered as a global currency and would eventually be recognized by governments especially when they see that the people have trusted it and are using it on a daily basis .

I think the government will find it difficult to accept this as a currency, because they think it is illegal. but if they recognize, then the positive impact will be much in the can. such as unemployment will get a job. but the government has not been open with it. I believe this market will be a good future if everyone is involved.

Personally, I think the future of the market will depend vastly on the community. On the pressure they are willing to  make that can increase and strengthen the market.

The only thing why governments won't in favor for bitcoin is that,  they can't controlled it.  Of course, money is the only thing that influence them.  If they get something then automatically they will protect and support it.  But with bitcoin, it would be difficult  for them. I know government trying to convice us, to give way and follow of what they have planning for bitcoin but with the strong foundation they are abosultely declined.

I believe it will be creating opportunities and profits/benefits in the future. And how in fact is it going to create an opportunity for is in the future? I believe that will be through its quality of being highly volatile; price will continue with being high and returning low.

The way I’m seeing it, I don’t think Bitcoin is still growing, because it has already become one of the best assets available in the market, and have also managed to offer some features that its physical counterpart couldn’t offer to users.

I observe that a lot of countries are now making ammends as to they would allow or ban and even warn their citizens in crypto trading. Right after the 10K4 crusade, i am noe encountering issues on countries such as Philippines where they do not encourage investing and the government is not liable to any lose in terms of bitcoin and india not allowing bitcoin traders or so i read. There are already countries that are banning this business and convinced their society to cooperate and releasing propaganda on the disadvantages for cryptocurrency. In reality, the government can still collect the appropriate tax once  the people is cryptocurrency converted their BTC in hard cash. The government can also establish a trading agency to where they can collect the equivalent tax immediately from trading.

The governments are recognizing bitcoin already because they can't do something about it. They can't ban it because they see it's potential to help people and the growth of their economy so now their agenda is to regulate it. I believe this market will grow in the future as it's growing now, but faster. Well the situation isn't really clear at the moment due to this huge decrease in value  that all cryptocurrencies without any exception are experiencing . The overall market cap of all the cryptos combined has decreased of 300 billion dollars in a very short while making this event first of it's kind , and the congestion of the network is just making it worse along with the bad news from china .

For me, this market will grow because it revolutionize investing schemes. For example, there are certain countries that prohibits the ownership of a company/organization to local citizen therefore you cannot invest to this company/organization because you are a foreigner to them. I think it will be the same and it will exists as long as the cryptocurrencies are still around especially with bitcoin. It's the only place where one can trade their crypto holdings from alt coins to eth or bitcoin to their crypto choice and of course to fiat.

the bitcoin has bright future, imagine huge rates which it had this year, considering that we have only a small percent of world's population which covers bitcoin that else can occur if we double this number in the next years.

I think, the bitcoin is the future technology, The bitcoin will exist for along years. I think, the reason  why The government donnt recognize it as currency because every countries has own currency.

With the fast facing technology we have today it is just obvious that bitcoin have a positive future. It will eventually be known to everybody. Crypto currency for me have no difference to our transactions which are cashless and online. Govt may regulate bitcoin.

The government of some countries already recognize crypto currency and bitcoin. I think that the crypto currency market is waiting for a bright and long future. The government will be forced to reckon with it, and issue a number of laws that will adjust or partially regulate the country's crypto currency, but so that bitcoin will not lose its unique qualities.

Everyone knows that Bitcoin can be used as a way of earning. So, the more the people invest in Bitcoin carefully, the more they earn, the more will they spend, as their purchasing power rises (according to economics). But currently, we are not in that kind of scenario. Also people could possibly use Bitcoin for tax evasion and frauds, which is harmful for the economy. I think there would be a much better development bitcoin could have in the future by having a wide spread effect of its market on the economy of a specific country as well as having the support by the government it self.

It is just not about cheating because we have been experiencing corruption even when we had not a vague idea about crypto currencies. People cheat with cash as well. I don’t think so government should raise this point for not making bitcoin legal. The ruling authority of any state should focus on methods for regulation of bitcoin or like taxation. Government basically want to earn money from it.

I think that whole world must have some unite opinion about crypto sooner or later, but they must decide what to do with us all.

you mean taxation? In many countries, all actions with the crypto currency are not taxed, and some countries do not require to specify the crypto currency in the tax returns. Proceeding from this, there are no unified thoughts on crypto currency in the world.
