People who are interested in using mixers usually put large amounts, so assuming that you actually have 2000 BTC in stock, why not put more in escrow because 10 BTC as insurance are really nothing much?

Do you have any idea to change the site's logo? The logo seems the same with the former bitmixer.io' logo IMO.

Since there are a lot of competitors, we assume that people will test our services with small amounts. as soon as we gain more trust, we will put 100 (within 2 months).

and for the record, this "escrow" is not free, we're paying % for this service.

I know the people behind this project, don't forget patience is the key here. it takes time for users to start trusting a new site.

What separates your services from other mixer services? What is the incentive that I as a user have to use your new service over something that's a bit more trusted like coinmixer? I know bitmixer stopped service and that is a huge part of creating a mixing service, but as a user of mixer services, I'd love to find a new reliable mixing site. Hopefully these questions will give everyone some insight into how your service is unique.

So now what's about mixer, can you show us signed message from adresses where you have reserve of 2000 coins? Do this like cryptomixer did it once, they show it to reputable members here. It's better than holding 10 btc in escrow. Also as you said you are going to escrow 100 btc in near future, suggest you to do this on some person, not on one and choose very reputables.
Show reserves to some DT members here and ask them to sign message and confirm that you really hold 2000btc, this will be fair, do this..

We do not need to public our address with 2000+ BTC. once we reach the 10 BTC limit, we will put 100+ BTC in escrow and we will continue to do so until we reach our 2000+ BTC stock.

You can try to mix 10BTC, after we will mix them for you, we put 100BTC in escrow, you can mix them too, and after 100BTC we will place 500BTC in escrow.

No man, as I said Cryptomixer did this, they prove their reserves by signing messages from their adresses where they had 2000 btc.

I don't say you are scammer, seems this is your way to prove your trust but escrowing so regularly won't be cheap for you and especially escrowing of 500btc is very hard task, that's big money.

I would suggest to shy away from association both in name and on your site with Bitmixer, though. That could potentially be suspect to certain people and make them go to another mixer service. Right now, the whole site looks like a complete clone of bit mixer, apart from the fact that colors were changed.

Also you have to think up some things to make your brand more appealing. currently, chipmixer offers 0 fee mixing ;)

Bitmixer decide to close their service,to bad for us users but they have their reasons for this decision.

ChipMixer offers 0 fees, but this doesn't mean they will continue doing so in the future. At the end of the day, even mixing services are businesses, and a business aims to make profit. If you read through ChipMixer's thread, they might be opening up for investors to start 'lending' their coins to ChipMixer -- this event will cause ChipMixer to start charging fees. Other than that, I wish any mixing service looking to offer people privacy a good future. Let's not derail this thread any further....

Don't want to be rude but your action seems like promoting chipmixer over bitmixcoin. Currently we can't say they are scammers because as we see they used escrow. I don't like when mixers try to have similar name of bitmixer but maybe that's because of promotion (still don't like this). Let's see what future will show us, as they say they are going to escrow 10, 50, 100 and 500 bitcoin. And if they prove that they own 2000 btc reserve, sorry but I think you have don't have to say bad about them without real proofs. Don't be serious about it but it looks like you purchased old bitmixer.io and changed the interface and few other things may be fees and relaunched the bitmixer.io service with a new name.

I have grown to trust BitMIXER over the years so when he said he was not going to sell the business I pretty much trust that.  So, this is a clone.

Being a clone with a very similar name does not, in itself, mean it is a scam.

My question is this:  assume they do not scam anyone and the mixing always works and everyone does trust the actual mixing service then how can we ever be convinced this is not a honeypot?  How would they go about proving they are not?  Serious question.  I have no answer.

That is a LOT of clones from one web site.

The FAQ page and various other pages are simply copies from one to another, it is a default page by many service providers.

One thing that makes the difference. we put BTC in escrow, no-one else did.

even if we sign a wallet with 100,000 bitcoins, this is still not a guarantee you won't get scammed. we start by placing 10BTC since our customer base is still low, once we gain a bigger trust and customers base, we will place 100 BTC in escrow to make sure no one of our customer will ever be scammed.

Interesting service but seems like a lot of things were borrowed from the old bitmixer site as others have said. I don't think this is the smartest decision since bitmixer shut down probably because of pressure from regulators.

Interesting service and obviously a lot of similarities from the now closed Bitmixer service that could bring negative connotations, but other than that i think that there are no further issues with the site.

I can tell that you are trying to build trust with customers by getting an escrow to hold 10 BTC in case something goes wrong. I suggest you leave clear instructions of how the escrow should proceed with the funds in case someone were scammed(because if you guys do scam it'll be way more than 10 BTC). Will the amount be split or just distributed to a single person?

I'm not saying that you are scammers at all, i just feel like this is necessary to boost trust in your service.

It seems most of the people have doubts about this new service and interestingly almost everyone has set his own parameters for others to be trustworthy. I have a question for all is there any guarantee of any well reputed mixing service that it will not scam in future?

Escrowing 10 Bitcoin proves you own 10 Bitcoin, not 2000.

The best guarantee is if they earn a lot of money without scamming, like BitMixer did. They must have earned thousands of Bitcoins.

Although I have the sig of this service, I have not seen any dmca take down issued by bitmix.io... Since bitmix.io have stooped their service and refused to sell his website I don't understand the people who are complaining about them copying the website... have they ever claimed they have not copied it? they haven't even tried to hide it so why complain about it?
They should however be judged by the service they provide, so far I have personally tried them (before the sig campaign started) and it went as promised.
Although 10 BTC is not a high amount to escrow but I understand the logic behind it since gaining trust takes a long time, I am sure people were accusing bitmix.io that he is a scammer but in the end the ones how are lasting are not the scammers :)

We use Twitter Bootstrap for UI [http://getbootstrap.com/docs/3.3/getting-started/#download-cdn] and the js file "bootstrap.min.js" is by default part of the Bootstrap framework, however we did not use it for any functionality on the site and any access to the javascript files has been removed from the website code.
thw custom js was used for some ui functions in their site like showing modal, adjusting color of navbar etc. we did not use it.

Got my payment and here is my honest review for them

Let's start from Beginning :
I sent 0.011 BTC and I was expecting a 0.5% deduction from their side which means around 0.000055 so, it did and I got 0.010945 BTC into my bitcoin wallet. I was expecting them after 3^rd confirmation but they came after 5^th confirmation.

No doubt the service is legit as they paid but was late to do so as the delay was set to 0 Minutes. Provides Letter of Guarantee that good as one can claim the amount from them in case of any problem.

Don't know it's good or Bad but I found that the interface of the website is way too different from BITMIXER.IO so, it means they had no relation to them.

After checking the site I found something, not a bug but can cause some damage to the site in terms of revenue

Minimum is 0.01 and fee on it is 0.5% which means for a small transaction of 0.01 they take only 0.00005 BTC as their fee and pay nearly 0.0003 or more as miner fee depending upon the network. If we total that amount it means they get only 0.01 and lost 0.01025 from their wallet. This looks small but in long-term and when network contingency occur they had to pay higher fees and they have to lose larger amount from their wallet to make the mixing successful. They need to think about it and apply a solution as soon as possible.

I tumbled my coins successfully @ bitmixcoin.io yesterday. Initially, I was very hesitant due to the amount of FUD on this thread, and its similarities with bitmixer. However, I decided to give them a try with the minimum amount, and I must say that they are one of the most secure and professional bitcoin tumbling services I have ever used.

Yes, the website looks kinda like bitmixer, and 99% of websites that adopt this approach are scams. Bitmixcoin.io is the exception and is in the 1% minority. I've been using bitcoin since it sold for about $20. And I did a lot of "big things" with my coins back in the days when adoption was shit, and the only place you could spend them was at DNM's. I discovered then that the best way to buy coins anonymously was with cash or using secondary markets, like darknet markets, local bitcoins, bitcoin ATM, etc. These methods ensured you could buy your coins without using an ID.
I found out the hard way that forensic blockchain analysis is real. I tend to keep that in mind when dong big things with bitcoin. Using a good and secure mixer is a necessity not a choice for me. Choosing one is often difficult, so I spread my transactions around different ones. My experiences have been generally okay, except for when I was scammed by coinmixer.net, run by serial scammer  moriartybitcoin. I hope that fucker is dead, and his death was/is slow and painful.
I have used just about every mixer out there. from helix, bitblender, bitmixer.io - oh how I miss bitmixer - and most recently chipmixer. And I must say bitmixcoin has surprised me a lot. I took it for another shitty clone of "the mixer with no bottle", that shut down after a little heat from LE. However, its been smooth sailing so far and I rate them A++.  I will keep using different mixers, especially the established ones, but bitmixcoin will remain number one on my list until something changes.

I see you've been bragging about those 10 btc in escrow, but let's see if it DOES actually make sense: assuming you are a new market player and so have a relatively small amount of customers, your cap of simultaneously mixed coins is 100 btc (for simplicity) and that's where exit scam happens (for whatever reason, we are just assuming here). And let's say there were 100 people where everyone was mixing a single coin, which means that if the escrow will be WILLING to collaborate and allocate funds proportionally then everyone gets 0.1 btc.

Does only for me this thing look ridiculous and proves absolutely nothing? Keep in mind that we have an optimistic 1 to 10 ratio here (escrow/mixer), so if the real turnover is higher than you'll probably get like a few satoshis or so from the escrow.

Good luck with establishing trust but imo this is not the right way of doing it.

You are right, the truth is that the only way a mixer can prove it is legit and not scamming is remaining in business over a long period of time. There is absolutely no other way they can prove their intentions apart from revealing the identities of the people behind the mixer. Trust is gained over time. Even when a website or business is trusted, and has been in business for several years, they can still exit scam. A good example is MTGOX. The reason they made away with so much coins is that people completely trusted them and left huge amount of coins on the exchange.

I think bitmixcoin is chugging along nicely, I am yet to mix any coins with them, but I will be doing so asap, so that I can take part in the video contest. The only way to make a good promotion  video is trying out the mixer. At the very least if they scam me of the .01btc I plan on depositing, the escrow will pay that back. The escrowed amount is a good thing, and it should not be sneered at. More start ups should be encouraged to do the same and increase consumer confidence. I would rather take my business to someone that offers me escrow insurance than give it to a company based solely on their signature campaign.

In case of a scam/hack how will you guys split up the escrow funds?

It's obviously a good guarantee but if the amount scammed was bigger than the amount in the escrow fund then not everyone will be refunded properly. Will you guys choose to refund with chronological order as priority or just percentages?

You've got a good point, with Bitcoin's current price, 10BTC in escrow is a relatively reasonable price to put in escrow, like your said, more likely people will mix lower amounts.

If the escrow service would not consider the current bitcoin price, there are many other escrow providers.

I like the fact that you have scam protection. This is definitely a good step to take, in case anyone does feel like that they are getting scammed they have a trusted third party to go to in order to retrieve their funds.

However, i would definitely think that you should put around 10 more BTC somewhere else.

If someone does legitimately gets scammed, then the amounts will be way more than 10 BTC and i doubt that the current escrow funds will cover it. Just a suggestion, though.

However you don't read posts carefully too. Do you know current price of bitcoin? It's more than 8000$ so is anyone going to mix more than 80 000$ on first try? I think maybe no or if is going, will be better to split and send after he/she receives it successfully, I mean let's we have 25btc, send 8, send 8 and send 9 (all of them after previous transaction's confirmation). So your problem is solved, there is no need to add more than 10 bitcoin in escrow, see current price again.

I also want to state what a pain it was to register on bitcointalk.  I had to send like $1 in BTC (fees plus 50cents)  to be able to post because I was using a proxy.  I spent like 10 minutes each on 4 ot 5 capchas. 

One thing that should be clarified is why the escrow was reduced form 10 BTC to 5 BTC.  When I saw that my delay had been passed by several hours and I looked in this thread,  I got scared because I wondered if there was a run on the escrow.

The amount of coins that gets mixed in any one day is probably more than 5 btc.  In fact one weeks stats listed 348 in a week, that's 48.714285714 btc per day.  I like the idea of escrow,  but escrow would only cover the 1st 10 or so users on a run, no?

Agreed LoyceV but also at the same time if they become so popular that people claimed to take 5btc from esrow in one day, I highly doubt they'll scam because if they have so much clients, then it worths for them to continue their job and profit. Is there such a thing as "clean BTC"? I assume you use the Bitcoins deposited by one user to pay the next user (that's what any mixer does), and can't know whether or not those Bitcoins are clean.

I think hes cheating me. Because i sent money in the 9th day. And then the 10th day he withdraw all of money from escrow.
I dont know why u guys allow him did that at that moment.

There are no rules that require an escrow, the forum can't stop anyone from using their escrow as they wish.
The escrow was a fake guarantee anyway, it was only enough for 20 minutes of user funds being mixed.

Honestly, at this point, you should just PM Loyce with your Letter of Guarantee. I'm pretty sure he isn't working for the NSA, so he doesn't care about where you are sending the coins to. Also, if Loyce confirms that your history is real and you get your coins back, you can just mix them again with a different mixer (or even BitMixCoin again if you feel safe).

I also think escrowing money this way is pretty stupid (and maybe even shady). If you want to provide safety (with an escrow) to those who are using your service, you should always publicly announce that you are taking the money back at least 24 hours before receiving it. Otherwise, what's the point of an escrow if you can get the money back whenever you want? (E.g: wait until someone sends a big amount of BTC, get the escrowed coins back and run away with the escrowed + scammed BTC).

 I still hope situation will be resolved, because I don't see sense scam to such amount if they can earn 30-40BTC every month (with assumption that stats provided by bitmixcoin.io is correct).
Question to tobericher, your behavior is strange, you send and not received back huge amount BTC on 9th June, but  posted here publicly about it only after 4 day!!(assuming that mixing  process should take place  within max hour, no? Receiving such a "signal" timely in this thread or via PM , I was able to "freeze" escrow amount and In such a case, You would pretend to recover at least a part of amount. Are you so indifferent to your money?

@zazarb There was only 5 hours between his deposit and returning the escrow. A longer mixing delay could have been set.
The delay is not mentioned in the Letter of Guarantee.

Maybe, but I personally if did not receive such an amount in first half hour(I means no broadcasted in blockchain) would start worry and after hour start post question wherever possible.
Even if it does not save its money, it would have warned others, now we have a situation when 4 day he can take all money, sent to mixing?!

No. If it is an exit scam, that's exactly what you're trying to do: get as many coins as possible before leaving for good.

As zazarb is no longer escrowing funds on your behalf, you need to update your original post to reflect there are NO funds escrowed for user protection right now.
The way it is, you are giving a false sense of security where there is none, as the escrow was returned to you.

what has been fixed? my understanding of your post is,
you claimed you haven't 'received' the deposit but you confirmed the Letter of Guarantee is valid
so everyone would agree that nothing is fixed or solved until your customer gets back his bitcoin

Already confirmed(by some people) that that 16BTC has been sent to correct address signed with bitmixcoin.io main address, so fault impossible, other question where is tobericher with confirmation or denial regarding change address via email?!

Maybe it is not a good move to write in other's mixing services ANNs, however in the light of the last events we cannot name bitmixcoin a mixing service. It is most likely a scam adventure.

You know, for me this is a remarkable incident. I tried so hard to build my own service and still put a lot of effort in it. Unfortunately we have quite poor reserve and it was 2 times already when people sent us more coins than we can handle. It is a pity that people trust us and we cannot handle their requests properly. I have returned all the funds to the users.

And now when I see that somebody is ready to send 16BTC to a mixer without so much reputation. I am like  :-\ :'( give me those coins and I will build a great business that will benefit all the participants. Well, of course it doesn't work like this.

Bitmixcoin claimed toberichter would confirm they have repaid the 16BTC, yet there has been a post by toberichter today, and no such confirmation (quite the opposite, "Scam confirmed").
Everyone should realize by now that this has turned into an exit scam and any coins sent to bitmixcoin are lost forever.

Are you willing to post your Letter of Guarantee in public? I know it's a lot to ask, as you use a mixer for privacy. So far nobody has been willing to publish it, and public proof would be the last nail in the coffin.

Just got the refund from @PrivCoin.

I reviewed the letter and this user was scammed by the service unless they come back and provide the coins or an explanation. We get people asking to switch addresses with good reason all the time for example ETH contracts that will reject ETH.
