As I am new to this and new to this forum I thought I might start on a question which might benefit myself and benefit others reading it as well because we all have an opinion. I was told from friend to get into (OMG) & (OK) as they would bring in some profit.

But now I am looking to see what else is good out there and what will be good.

Plus being a New investor, I would like to succeed.

A cryptocurrency exchange for Estonian e-resident. Price already doubled from ICO prices, expect to rise further after release.

An ICO for upcoming cryptocurrency exchange. Already had a beta version and it looks quite good.

5. Moneypot (MPX) - Link in my signature
ICO for Moneypot network. If you've been here for a while you surely know what Moneypot is. Moneypot is a crypto webwallet integrated with various web application (mostly gambling sites). They also had a plan to make an exchange soon (Bitcoin Market) and other interesting apps (escrow, shops, etc.)

Current bounce after a huge dump yesterday looks quite unstable and might be another bull trap so chinese can make exist by dumping all they have at peak because there is enough liquidity on market to just sell off everything.

But if you are looking for long term holding than I suggest you to buy NEO, ETH, ETC and LTC on next round of drop caused by massive sell off from chinese traders.

Okcash and Omg coin is good as of now i know there will be a new updates this september and october So it would be great if you invest in but don't forget to buy in cheap price.  Regarding your title the top crypto is the crypto's which are trusted and have a good volatility with a good future of rising more its price.

These coins are pretty useless in my opinion and I believe soon they are going to wipe out form the face of earth, rather crypto market.
For all sensible people, bitcoins are the best option for making money in the world of digital currencies. My all time favorite coin is this one and I don’t consider rest worth investing.

Bitcoin, Ether, Waves, OMG and PIVX

That is a surprising and strange answer for me.
Bitcoin will not as good as now when there's no alternate , it is means no competition , no comparison , nothing.
At least that is what i am thinking , and however ethereum seems the best crypto currency after bitcoin.

First of all: there are no guarantees in cryptoland!

That aside, a good suggestion might be Steem as this particular coin combines social media (Steemit.com) with crypto. Steem is currently sort of 'mined' by participants on Steemit upvoting blogs and comments of other users. Steem builds a bridge between cryptoland and a significant audience and therefore might be a good long-term investment.

after acquiring some bitcoins learn how to trade to maximize your profit. Of course there are risk but its totally worth it. I will not post a link because others may think I am just promoting my referral link here. But if anyone is interested feel free to pm me. I know a good site that you can start.

Why no-one HODL XRP now?
I was estmating that so many XRP that is now distributed.

You have nice choice of digital coins and I am pretty much sure that you are earning good profits with these coins especially with bitcoins and waves. I don’t have five favorite coins, I am just interested in two that are bitcoins and waves, and they both are at present doing best jobs for producing profits.

For mining purposes i choose bitcoin litecoin ethereum and zcash..  and the other altcoin are honestly dogecoin i still holding and expecting in the future that this coin can be rise up again back .. for now i this 5 is my list of my altcoin holdings including bitcoin
I was planning to buy a l3 someday to mine litecoin. . and hoping to have them if there is a cheap price of L3+..
For now only zcash and ethereum  i can mine with my rig..

I would choose for Bitcoin, Ether and also XRP :)

If you want to know the best altcoins nowadays, make research with your own. The best reliable site that you can get informarion about the best altcoin is the cointelegraph and coinmarkercap.

As an example with CRAVE you get around 1.45 a day, CROWN is 4.5-9 a day, LINDA up to 200K a day.

No I think you don’t have to talk like it. They are not pretty useless rather they are not making some good results, in comparison with bitcoins; they are not doing some good. They will be here for a long time as they also have many users like other coins.

Because I think they are good for longterm

The following 5 crypto currencies are my favorites and I'm sure will go up in value over the next few years.

1. Bitcoin - has proven its value in the past few years. The price may vary a lot, but it outperforms all other long-term investments.
 
2. Ethereum - a crypto currency that has the greatest potential. It is the only crypto that, I think, has the ability to overcome the Bitcoin Market Cap in the near future.

3. Ripple - if can prove that this is a solution for the banking industry, it's value will skyrocket.

4. Dash - this may be a controversial choice to some people, but I really think Dash could have a great future.

5. Litecoin - the longstanding trusted cryptocurrency has been a safe for long term investment for some time.


Honorable mentions (I may still invest in these) : Augur, Stratis, NEM, Steemit, Waves, IOTA...

For me are:
ICON, Minexcoin, MBI, Grid+, Dether

Except that XRP tokens will be useless even if banks adopt Ripple technology, XRP tokens will not be needed to transfer money from bank to bank and having tokens is not like owning shares of a company.

Internet of Things is the future, whoever gets that right will be new king of crypto, IOTA is in a good position to be that but we will see if new players can come to dominate.
In a few years I see robotics and AI will take over pretty much everything

People invest in 10-5 Top coins because of market volume , that means if you invest 1 bitcoin in high volume market profit almost grantee if sell at the right time .

Everytime I look the price of both goes down.
Ardor is the second NXT- generation right?
May I ask which one you prefer and why?

If you want to invest in altcoin i will suggest you can buy this 5 altcoin. Waves coin, ethereum, qtum ,litecoin and taas and for sure if you have that possible that you earn a lot of profit in the future . But its better if you make a research first so you can know what coin have potential to increase in the future. Always be careful what coin you invest always be ready for losing because we dont know what happen.

Recommendations are for you to buy so tt my coin will go up in value, or because it's been stuck in a rut and I want to get out by selling to you. Talking our book is normal.

Here's mine: LTC, for when segwit x2 breaks BTC. Note some core devs have said they will leave BTC if x2 passes.

It has been interesting seeing people's top 5 Crypto's, and some of you have told me in detail why they believe I should use them as well. Which to be honest, it does actually help a lot in making my choices on what coins I and other newbies should be looking at to get a profit. Because that is why we are all here for.

So I will come round and ask why you believe those are to be strong coins, so when other newbies reading this post will see there is a reason why we have chosen those certain Crypto's.

I think OMG is good long-term as well.

My picks are:

BTC - nothing needed to explain

LTC - could easiely pump up to the 100$ mark again in the next bulllrun

NEO - so much growth potential once China FUD is over

WAVES - should be in top 10 so in my opinion undervalued

ARK - long term holder because I really like their vision

For me, btc, eth, waves, mgo, stratis and omg. These are my top crypto which I believe these offer a good profit for holding a long term investment.
