Another new cryptocurrency just rise from the dark side. And they call it "Ethereum Dark".

Just like Bitcoin has a dark side which is the "Bitcoin Dark". and we are expecting that the success of Ethereum might affect the dark side of it and this will be the time to take our opportunity and advantage to follow the dark side.

Bitcoin Dark rises heavily on the market and if Ethereum Dark will be on the same path..It might be our time to RISE and make our stepping stone to the MOON.

It's crazy to see coins rising 1500% a day, only because of a Coinmarketcap listing.

for example Doge coin. Most of the people still think this coin is legit

Why the name? The other one is already dark. Or does it have something to do with anonymity features?

Crazy moves today, but I think its just a pump and dump. No roadmap, no whitepaper? Just some exchanges rumors, but I dont think it will be a big exchange.

Me thinks the intentions behind the coin are exactly as OP described and theyre attempting to shadow BitcoinDarks meteoric rise on name alone. Definitely nothing special about it.

When I think the bullshit spread here has reached a new level someone new or a new coin appears and teaches me otherwise.  ;D

That's right and the conclusion if the ethereum dark was not using the ethereum platform as the main thing or  it doesn't have relationship with ethereum itself, If you are seeing another coin such as bitcoin dark and what about that? Most of them just like a crap coin which already made to grab the trader's money.

I wanted to counter some of the FUD on this thread. This is a a low supply coin with controlled monetary inflation (PoS of 10%) and its own blockchain, not an ETH token. You will not be earning 20% a week or whatever like the high staking coins (Ember, 808, IFLT, etc), but you may have a chance at price appreciation  

1. There is a very basic roadmap at the following link. https://www.ethereumdark.net/road-map-1. As per the dev, the white paper is in progress.

2. Several airdropped coins have had substantial increases in value including DCR, NEM and GBYTE. We can't conclude this is a shitcoin simply because it was airdropped.  

3. BitcoinDark (BTCD) has market cap of $115M, so there may be a fear of mining out (FOMO) effect at work here with today's giant price jump with ETCD to $0.87 from $0.0925 days ago.

Early airdrop participants received 200 to 400 shares, that implies decent money for the modest investment of effort.  

Its too early to tell what will be the fate of ETCD. It all depends on the pace of development, release of the white paper and growth of the team. I am cautiously optimistic and can say the Proof of Stake mechanism is operational and was able to stake with the shares granted as part of the airdrop.

That's not cool that this coin has "Ethereum" in its name, but the source code https://github.com/abi2018/wz37da is not from Ethereum code base.

It just called "Ethereum" Dark to get attention and generate confusion in the people.

Its just another shitcoins that makes me money from 2k sats to 20k sats. And i do follow it i am believing what they've done and do to that coin the dev and its members are very active. Those who does not believe will missed like what ethereum done after startimg with just a cents.

We fine it as shitcoin since the volume of its is now impressive and from 2k it rise up for 20k sats but who knows what will happen unto it since maybe this is a trap of the dev to accumulate more buyer and drop off when the volume turns millions to his coins.

The dev has no reason to dump lol you think he would spend countless hours on free airdrops for all the damn greedy ass people out there wanting there free coin? I think now. He wants I show it's a fair chance to all.

Possible, but I think not in the near future. Bitcoindark has less circulating supply. The market cap for Ethereum Dark by 90$ will be 270.066.420. With this market cap ETHD will be in the top 20 today... So I think it will not happend in the near future.

I don't invest in them like you. They don't give us any innovation and all they have is a bad name for a useless token/coin. This is interesting it still has a market value.

The airdrop round 3 will come soon, be ready all for this.

The whitepaper is soon to be released I bought some from coinexchange when it was around $1. Its gone down ever since. The whitepaper is coming next week so will invest more after going through the whitepaper.

The name discourages me from taking it seriously, looking forward to reading the whitepaper, It might change my mind. There are over 900 coins circulating and it is very difficult deciding on which to invest in.

Currently down to 0.35 cents.
I think the name is a good thing - although it does make you question if the team is serious enough with this.
If they are - the name is a blessing.

That is such crap, it has nothing to do with Ethereum and the name is worthless and they havent thought about a descent name for it.
The more coins and useless projects there are the more people will lose their money over nothing, makes me like the bans on ICOs so that people eventually dont lose money and actually invest in something that is real and has the potential to actually be used by a lot of people in the world.

It's not even a fork of ethereum and it has nothing to do with ethereum....what a joke of a coin....who's on the team and where it the white paper?

I also doesnt like it name Ehtereum Dark, sounds like a duplication of any crpyto with a dark side.
They should consider rename it to other more prominent name, like Dark Ether or something.

There's a point here, to be honest. Some alts have a silly name, but captures the entire spirit of the development, vision and community behind it. Dogecoin is the perfect example of this to me. People who don't understand it will point and roll eyes. But it's the perfect name for the alt.

Ethereum Dark? I think they had "epic" aspirations but looking at the distribution model, it might have been a mistake.

Let's see if this was only an Coinmarketcap Add Pump. Now the devs must deliver to develop price further. It is not enough the request Trex listings. ;-)

I'm pretty sure that if the whitepaper is convincing the starting position is absolutely awesome right now.

But there is still no overall market cap etc. listed on coinmarketcap...which makes it even hard to find.

The CMC listing was a few days ago now, yes the price did come down as that was most likely people selling their free coins from the airdrops but since then the price has been steadily rising and getting back up to its peak price when ETHD was listed on CMC. A lot of people are already knocking this project even before they have seen the whitepaper which hopefully will be released in the next couple of days. And if the dev can pull off what he has in the somewhat roadmap then this coin can be very successful in the long term.

This just like another crap like bitcoin dark, Everyone should made the dark side of the ethereum token. I don't take this token seriously. There are so many dark token in this time.
But there is no one that gives the future to the buyers.

I was going to invest when the price was around $0.86. It's a risky trade to right now, people got the coin for 2k sats not even a week ago.

You can buy it at a significantly lower price on etherdelta now that people are starting to panicking. It goes as low as $0.05 some times of the day.


There is no official whitepaper being released as of today, as far as I'm concerned. The dev is working on it he says.

They just got hyped by the tag of Etherum nothing else.
Ethereum dark had huge pump and then dumped harder than the pump.
They don't have even a good working website.
They don't have a good team.
Everything is just so negative about it.

A third airdrop is coming and the developer has said on twitter that the old coin is going to be delisted from coinmarketcap.com, other than that no news. Scam or not, the activity behind this project seem to be getting way too low to justify any interest in the project.

I've never even heard of Ethereum Dark and I don't get its value proposition. Does it want to be more secure? Ethereum will soon launch Zsnarks and that will make it one of the safest crypto's in the market, it already has a great dominance over the smart contract sector so there isn't much that can go against Ethereum. The project can't even find another name and chose "Ethereum Dark", it just another copy of the so many out there. No one wants to buy a copy, everyone prefers the original and since Ethereum will integrate most of the things (and integrate them even better than Dark) I don't see any reason why anyone would invest in that, but maybe you know something I don't :)
