I have $500 left -

Which has the highest potential in the SHORT term (upto 6 months max)
- as I am gonna need some cash then.

STRATIS or WAVES or ARK?

Or........ETH/LTC (maybe??)

For me its hard to say any of these because it might be wrong but there is more advisable thing for you to do.
Invest it in all of those 3 so you will won't regret if any of those will pump in short term.

We really can't say that you will profit from these coins with the time span you are targeting but these coins are good coin and I believe these should be in long term base investment.

I think all of these three are very good to buy at current prices. Buy the one that you don't already own
out of these. Very hard to tell which will go up more.

i would say ARK man :)   they seem to have been built by a buncha dudes who were community members instead of some random "experts" noone has ever heard of ;p
They also have a great idea, tho waves and stratis are good ideas too :)
Waves was too hyped imo, Sasha is a serial greedster as well, i dont see it doing much but flopping around for a while ;p

So I fucked up and sold my Ark recently LOL but bought it dirt ass cheap way back. Oh well. Still made a decent profit. But Yeah ARK seems to be the shit, they are hardcore marketing and development so both of those combined is a big deal. As little as this sounds they have Ledger support which is huge. Smart move on their part. Their are a lot of sharks in these waters and hard to tell who will also create a Blockchain connector, this other company called Polkadot or whatever seems to be developing the same thing.

With 1000 fucking ICO's popping off a month, some of these may wipe out the companies in the top 50 right now. That's my guess.

6 months is too short for increase but I would go with Waves as well. They keep updating their products and their release schedules are quite tight for next year. Potential is moon for Waves.

I think you're well advised with any of them, but don't expect 2x, 3x anytime soon. Their market cap is just too high already.

I have had the same question to myself before 2 days ago. I already got some STRATIS and WAVES. So I decided to set 1000 $ to buy more WAVES. But ARK looks also great..

It's like asking if people like pizza, burger, or pasta  ;D The three are all great projects try to get a bite of everyone of them. Thats at least what I did and would still do.

Lisk is too high for short term profit but it still can rise a lot I don't know. For short term invest %50 in stratis and other half in waves.

They all have some potential in them but among the choices, the best bet for me is waves since it had been dormant for a while in a low price, and is showing good signs of taking off soon. Still it will be nice to invest in all and diversify, so invest in all and divide your portfolio on portions so that you won't need to put all your eggs in one basket, it is quite risky.

Among of them I will choose stratis and waves. These are my choice to invest and it is better to diversify your investment. Yes I agree with you dont put your eggs in one basket so better to invest both as this will gives you good profit.

I think they're all good investments, ARK is my favourite but maybe not at the current price. Waves would be my personal recommendation.

I'd go with Waves. Ark is already valued very highly. Not much clue about Stratis. But Waves with Leasing actually pays out a solid amount of random coins that throw off a higher ROI than stocks in the short term. And they the altcoins that you get through leasing could moon as well.

Personally, I like all of them, but that's not the question.

I would buy Waves at the current price that the three coins are at.

They have a strong roadmap ahead and have a working product already with several tokens hosted on their blockchain.

At under $5 its still a bargain price.

All those coins are good and popular and have good volume of trade, better question would be, when to invest to get biggest gain? In every case you will be rewarded if you wait till those giants wake up. If BTC goes beyond 5k this year we can expect next year to be very good for all altcoins! Considering Stratis my expectations are highest, and it could surpass ETH at some point, why not? ETH has parasitic life because it is feeding on ICO's, but this will be changed soon.

I would go for all three, and add Lisk to that as well.

Ark honestly is a hodl and not a buy right now. It's almost unequivocal that a drastically pumped asset will be dropping in value for a period of time before starting to rise again.

I think stratis has the potential to go high in the next six months than wave and ARK.  I do not know mush about ARK but I have been following and trading stratis on poloniex and among the assets listed on their trading platforms, stratis is one of the best to invest in. Wave thought is a very nice project, has not gotten a significant popularity like stratis among traders. If you have good risk capital then you can invest in both stratis and wave  as in the next six months you are sure of getting good return.

All 5 coins are good and safe, I keep them all. However you want to keep 6 months I think Ark and Waves are the better choice. You can buy a little Stratis again. Eth and Ltc fit for longer (several years).
You divide accordingly to keep it because the price is now very cheap and there is a future!

I think it would be best to diversify your investments and buy all three coins in equal shares.

I personally prefer Waves as an investment, it seems to be undervalued considering its potential. And after seeing their new roadmap I'm even more convinced.

If Ark price goes low enough put all into it and then start minting more of them. You can get over 10% yearly ROI. If you dont have enough for that then just buy all of them. They all have the same address somewhere above us.

Personally I think Waves is the most interesting coin. Its an ecosystem really. It already has some valuable tokens too. So if you go for all make Waves your number one.

In the end you should only buy when coin is cheap. Currently I think Ark is the only one that is cheap. Maybe the others will come down a bit at some point. Im sure the chinese will arrange that sooner or later. Or some really hairy scandal, theft or scam in the cryptoworld. Things happen all the time. Its a rollercoaster ride really.

three of the most promising projects out there and definite must-haves. i would get new poisitions only in Waves ATM, though - Ark pumped too much of recent and Stratis hasn't looked good for a while although it may be recovering. i'd make sure that both are out of negative trends before buying into. Waves seems to have a good ride ahead, instead. of course this is all quite irrelevant if one is looking at long-term only

I would say Waves, it is a good project, constant development and upcoming ICOs.
 Ark pumped very hard in the last time, i wouldnt buy it at this moment, but it is worth to keep an eye out if it drops or there are any rumours about some major developments. I like ARK but i am attached to it because i bought it before the pump

Stratis was always a bit of a mystery to me and i never took the time to look it up, so i cant tell you anything about it.

Both are profitable coin stratis and waves. Waves has its good project and continuing development that investing can earn profit. In stratis the movement of this coins all you have to do is to keen on oberving the market.

I would distribute the Deposit among the three coins evenly, each of them will give a profit. Waves and strat's still a good point to enter the Ark, I would have waited for another pullback

Ark have good price today but before buy we should wait good price BTC more than 4050$. Because if btc will go again 3500$ ARK and others altcoins will go down too

Waves and Stratis would be my recommendation. 

Those 3 are all great platforms, I'ts a tossup trying to choose one over another. I say splitting between all 3 is a safe bet.

Honestly, they are all great coins.  I would add LISK to the list as well.

Of the three, Ark has the most upside potential and it coincidentally is the best performing of the three (four if you count LISK).  Ark has staking as well so you can get paid to vote for certain people.  I'm not exactly sure how it works but it looks attractive from the outside.  I wish I bought ARK :(

If I want to rank these three coins, Waves is ranked first. We will see lots of ico on Waves platform soon. I think it can compete with Ethereum. Stratis and Ark are also good choices. There are high demand for both. So I recommend you to invest in all three and if you want to choose only one of them, invest in waves. For now it is really undervalued.

For me I will choose waves coin because this coin have potential to increase in the future. I have stratis last few months but I sell it because Many people sell their stratis. If you buy waves coin now for sure you will earn a lot of profit in the future because I believe before end of this year 2017 the price of waves coin possible become 100 dollars . 500 dollars is good amount to invest so choose wisely.

STRATIS in second choice

In my opinion the most valid project among them is WAVES. I'd put my money on it.
Anyway don't expect a huge profit because the altcoin market is pretty unpredictable and you'll never know what will happen over the next months.

If you are more prone to risk, it is better to invest in ICOs because they can make you earn a lot more. But there are more risks as well...

well, if I wanted to be cautious in my investment I would buy a little of the 3 because the projects are all promising

It depends on you want which coin do u invest. But I think all coin are good for investment.
So I recommend you to invest in STRATIS and WAVES.

Why only 6 months? Unless you need that money for a specific reason, i would consider all three projects long term holds. Saying that, all three are solid projects and you can't go wrong with any of them...pending unforeseen events. ARK has run up the most, with Waves following and Strat having not bounced since it's significant runup and retracement. It looks like Strat has hit it's low, so could have the most room for growth right now. Why not divide your 500 between the three to diversify?

Hmm... honestly, Stratis does not make me feel interesting than Waves, its roadmap not new and same idea other project. But Waves is first altcoin wants to creates a Decentralization Exchange, only this exchange can make the price of Waves increased a lot.

Ark is my favorite in the last days. Bought some in the last days, lets see how this will work out. And I am also shilling waves, added both coins to my longterm bags!

Waves and ark are my favourite ones, wave is for sure the best from both, it really has an advanced technology, and a lot of ico's are being launched with waves technologies because it is easy to develop the coins, and easy to manage it, i think that this is going to make waves price go up by a lot of money, because a lot of waves's icos are being succesfull.
And ark is a good one that has been in the market for a long time, i really trust in this project.

Waves still seems to be missing Smart Contracts and an exchange that isn't shit though.

In my opinion it will be Ethereum and Waves.
Ethereum will have a fork in a very short time.
Then the price can grow massively.
Waves has some great project in near future.
It price can go upto 20$.

Stratis looks more promising as a shortterm investment. Current low value represents a great opportunity to hold even more. I think with $500 will give pretty nice advantage.

All this coins are good investment in future, ARK has a great roadmap which they follow, so the price will pump in 2-4 months. WAVES is undervalued for such a strang project. STRATIS - well maybe least profitable from this three, but still can give you some profit.

All three are good projects with nice potential so best to hold all three for next 1-2 years
and hope to see all these go up many times.

If I had to pick one, and only one, it would be Waves.

Why? Working DEX, a stable coin with a proven track record of over a year now.

They stick to their Roadmap timetables, and have a number of great features coming up in the next year, NG protocol, Smart contracts, Alpha DEX etc etc

Also at a great price currently.

Actually they are okay to invest and good for long term. So preferrably, stratis and waves to invest in these two because I am confident in the future. Good development will happen in the long run.

I love waves. Running our ICO on it is so easy, and their API has enabled us to start developing our web paltform, on top of the waves blockchain - utilising their dex as well.

I am one of those who will say to buy 50/50. This is more reasonable. these two coins are very promising :)

my favorite will be waves. have bigger poteanial as ark and stratis. price is low now. it s so fast and have own exchange platform. their devs work hard . waves can be comparable with eth maybe but i dont think will catch eth. waves price can be 10$ in one month . they need big project that use waves.

I'm personally long on ARK for a short term gain.

All are good projects, I have held ARK a long time so perhaps I am a little biased in saying you should hold a bigger share of ARK but certainly you should hold all 3.

Well if were to talk about best profit generally i would definitely say waves but waves need some time to reach it’s peak so it can’t be considered as a short term investment. The other two are fine for short term but i have to say i fancy ark more.

Bought all of them last night for a bargain, honestly waves been bullish for some time and i hope it gets the attention it deserves soon enough although i don't care about waiting, project is strong and team looks reliable...at least that's what i think

Ok  guys  but stratis and waves it's more  than one year  and still they don't  grown  so much...  also  with  all these new icos upcoming  with self smart-contract creation without no  coding skill could be the death of lisk, stratis and waves?

Stratis and Waves both had huge rallies into June and have been correcting since.
Lots of other altcoins made a major high in June as well. ARK chart is more bullish
and it made a new high last month.
Next major wave will take all these to new highs into double-digits in 2018.  It is hard
to settle on a single best coin by comparing coin features alone. Bigger believer in
technical analysis and charts.  Most cryptos will go much higher in next few years
so having more coins is better diversification than fewer.

Both Stratis and Waves have potential, they have more chance than not to be profitable in the near future. Stratis especialy is a strong coin. But in my opinion just spread those 500$ on both stratis and waves.

I would have broken this sum into 3 coins. and would buy in several calls. Now the altcoyins are looking for a bottom, so you should wait for the purchase

I made good profit from Ark this year but I think it's time to move for Waves. For 6 months I would hold more Waves. I would even hold it for 2 years because I believe the project. It's a long term potential coin, not for short term small profits. I think Sasha Ivanov can achieve better things with Waves next years.

If I were you, I will still hold ARK. That's really a nice coin to invest in short-term. I believe its price can reach $4 at in March 2018. What's about Wave? There is no doubt that it is a potential coin. But I think it is suitable for a long - term.

Well, I do not think that Ark is useless at all. However, if Ark is compared with stratis or waves, ark is definitely a loser. There is no point investing our money in ark since we have many choice. Just look at the chart and see, stratis and waves have more chance to increase the price. They also have a very good developed teams

If you have 500 dollars left its better to invest that to WAVES because this coin have potentila to increase more in the future and if that happen we can earn a lot of profit. Possible price of waves coin is hundreds dollars this year or next year. I hope the price of waves coin will increase. But its up to you want to invest in waves coin. Make research so you can know what is best coin for you.

$500 dollars on Stratis would be your best choice for short term gains.  Stratis has a lot of releases coming up and possible additions on very large exchanges like Coinone or Bithumb.  Price is also very low compared to the all time high.  There's plenty of room for the price to go up.

You could be used allof your money yo buy stratis rather than waves or ark. Stratis is very good project especially about the recent pump. looks very hot right now comparing with another coin. waves is suck and never buy it.

The same with others, I cannot easily decide which one to choose because all the three coins mentioned are great coins that have great potentials in the months and years to come. But because you are looking at a short term holding, I am afraid you cannot earn much from these coins. Try to look at their value track record and the growth is not that fast. Because these coins are already somehow stable that spikes and very fast growth in value are not very probable. Why don't you try to look for good yet very new coins because pumping for these coins are probable.

Absolutely I'll give my points to waves and stratis.  Consider that waves was at 0.002 BTC while stratis was at 0.0027 both price in the end of June 2017.
That was a 3 months gap from today and the price is ridiculously low. Well, both were a good investment if you'll wait for about 6 months. Any pick will do.

I'm not familiar to ARK, that's why I can't give my specs here.

If you are looking at the short term i think that maybe WAVES will be the biggest gainer in terms of short term. Simply because compared to Ark it has more recognition and liquidity and Stratis already got pumped by 25% today.

WAVES has been quiet for a while now, i think it may shine in the shor term.

Pretty much all over the forum i keep hearing good things about Waves and how they could be the next Ethereum. So, out of those three options i'd say Waves.

I will be the 100th person to say this, but you should really do your research.  Of course it is not bad too ask for advice sometimes.  But you should keep in mind that nobody can predict the future for these (or any other) coins.

I like Ark a lot more, but if Waves actually ends up releasing a functional platform they would rise a long stronger in the short term. Long term no idea. Depends on too many uncertain factors.

I described great advantage could gain from holding Strat as short term investment. Ark also profitable, but market share as well as holder is higher.

I think this three coins is very highest potential although it is my personal recommendation.Specially i interested for waves because waves is really good effective coin.Ethereum is also high potential i think.

maybe try stratis for a while since there's an upcoming updates for sure it will bring some good cash to you then go with waves after you satisfied your needs i'm not sure about ark that's why i'm not giving my opinion about it so better to review and if you see also potential why not split your investment.

I have invested in Stratis since August but i havent seen any development even i see that there is literraly lack of marketing hence no investors are attracted.I know it has good potential but for time being it seems it will stay somewhere between 3-5 dollars currently i am in loss with investment in Stratis but i hope i can recover though....Any major updates after releasing Breeze wallet???.....

Stratis I think is undervalued at present.

ARK and WAVES both have great potential. Personally, I feel like ARK has more long-term upside and that WAVES is great at what it does, but wont ever make it mainstream and be among the top coins. That's not to say you can't make money off all of them though.

For me, I'd go 50% stratis, 30% ark, 20% waves.

strat will rocket only if they deliver. they are infamous for their lack of timing though.

If you have 500 dollars left its better to buy waves coin because for sure it will increase more in the future and possible become hundreds dollars price in the future. So if you want to make more profit choose waves coin but it depends to you what do you think is the best .

I think it run its course, I try my luck with other coins. I'm buying more Waves now. I don't want to hold too many different coins, majority is in BTC, ETH and fiat. I add Waves to them and try to sell other altcoins as much as possible.

It's better to hold more coins though. That way you don't miss out on profits and lower your risks of losing at the same time.

Stratis just had a pretty huge pump which came crashing right back down not for so long. If I am to pick anyway, I might have to choose the three. Strats might be good for short term, while waves and ARK would be good for long term. The choice is only dependent on those buying. One way or the other, I will have some pretty gains in the short term or in the long term

Do we know when? I can't find the new DEX on the updated roadmap for 2017 or 2018, but I have seen some screenshots.

I'd choose Waves or ARK but they're all pretty decent plus you'd probably make something just off BTC itself depending on how well it does :)

What happened to the problems that Red Pulse had during its ICO? If I recall correctly people were left out due to incorrect information for the start "time" of the ICO? Did they get their coins in the end?

In my opinion waves is one of those coins that you can earn a lot more than others, and in a short amount of time, we will soon find out.

Waves have been stagnant for quite a while now, although that's a good sign considering that there were no updates for a while. This also means that when updates come the gains should be quite significant.

I am an investor and invested in Stratis. Waves has been waiting for investors for a long time and has not been able to take the necessary steps yet. The price of ARK is already too much. My expectations and dreams tell me that the price of Stratis will rise.

Yes. You are right mate! Waves is really having some development going on with it and the devs are doing pretty much some big jobs underneath.

It has had some pretty good years, no doubt but if all things end up working well for this coin and the development goes successfully as expected, then I expect something big coming for this coin in the next few months. Usually when bitcoin prices are on action, we cannot expect bit movements in altcoins. So, once bitcoin settle down we can expect waves to fly.

At the moment it's hard to say about them, as long as the fall is on and we do not know whether it will be raised. But in the future, waves and air will be most productive in this respect.

Difficult indeed to answer. Would say:

1) Stratis: Superior tech --> critical point is business adoption
2) Waves. Community advantage, being used
3) Ark: Next generation interoperability

You should buy stratis. I read they will have mastetnodes feature and that will make atratis price up. When many masternodes up its mean many coin will be held and the coin in circullation will be small ammount only.

Btw anyone here knows stratis masternodes earn bitcoins instead of stratis ?  :D

$700,000 for 1 master node, they it will be only whales and Stratis team that will be holding masternodes. The reason why I'm skeptical about Stratis is the hype, most hyped projects underperformed though this has done exceeding well for ICO investors

The prices of ARK and STRAT have increased significantly since the beginning of March, but at this time, most of them are going down because the price of BTC has increased sharply recently and we should wait after November 16th. ARK definitely exploded and it seems its marketcap  will soon catch Stratis and latter on also Waves.

In my opinion in this game ARK will be leader and game changer.
Waves now maybe 3rd.
I will grab some more ark in their dip ;)

For me it is WAVES. I cannot provide an answer to your question because the market is not predictable, but ARK is pretty new, so maybe if it gets hyped more it can surge alot. Personally I love WAVES! This isnt investment advice though. Research is key.

ETH > Waves

If you already have ETH, waves is always the choice that you should be getting.
To be honest, i have no idea why is Waves not $50 yet.

It has a constant developing team
It has a fix supply that is circulating in the network
It has a working platform and DEX
It has a good community and supporter
It has a lot of events and conferences

VOUCH FOR THIS! Waves is just great. Everything is working as it should, and the community is responsive and helpful. The WavesLite Wallet is amazing and very easy to handle. Everyone should take a look at it and decide for themselves if it isnt just beautiful and so easy to use with a very clear structured user-interface.

WAVES - I don't have any

WAVES I was excited with it earlier but after I went in deeper, I lost interest/faith in it.  As I posted before, maybe it is worth another look.

Im interested in why you came to this point of view? Why did you loose faith? I also just started a few months ago with waves, and so far, there was really nothing that made a bad impression (only the trade volume on the DEX could be higher, but thats not WAVES fault). Please share your thoughts with me  :)

I watched a WAVES sales video on how easy it is to create a token with it.  That sales pitch to me is like a giant red flag.  I used to work on IT (2 decades ago) and none with such "nice" feature survived.  I equate the tokens created on it to instant noodles...it is super convenient, easy, and cheap but at the end of the day it is not comparable to one that is properly prepared and cooked by a chef.

Not sure if I am making sense but that is it for me.

I think LTC and ETH is good but never put all your funds in one coin

Your token won't be better because you spent hours to create it. Minutes or hours, the result is the same: you have a token with a good taste.

Thanks for explaining why you dont like it anymore. As you stated, it is really easy to create a token on waves, there are also a lot of fakes going around in it (but there are green check marks on the real ones), but as far as i am concerned this is not the most important thing on waves, its just a feature. The ease of token creation is a benefit in my point of view. As it will be in projects like bancor. Non-Tech savvy people are going (or are already on waves) to be able to create their own token with fixed supply in a working blockchain environment. Lets wait for 2018 and see how things turn out!

All are great coins with huge potential, personally i have a slight preference for ARK but this is mostly born out of the fact I have held it the longest and profited the most from doing so.

As an investor I like ARK, because of the DPOS.
Stratis has a bright future. I love the team and the professional way of their company.

I think STRAT will be the big winner.

They are not competitors at all.
Stratis is targeting corporations and Ark tries to be one and everything when you think of a platform.
Stratis are ahead right now and safer bet I think, but if Ark delivers everything they are trying to do, then it will be a massive homerun.

Waves is about to put out their new exchange and wallet, which will very likely lead to a new bull market for the token. Good time to diversify.

WAVES would be great for a holder because some dev team are airdropping WAVES token holder. So If you hold just about 500 WAVES, the coming days you will be surprise why you somehow have some unknown tokens in your wallet but this is because of some teams doing airdrop and surprisingly some of them have values.

You need Waves Community Tokens for Airdrops, not Waves. Waves can be leased for PoS rewards though and are needed to use the platform.

They're all great profits, but probably wouldn't go for any of them for a quick profit.
I see them all as long term holding projects.

If you haven't got the time or experience, put the $500 in a brand new coin that just finished their ICO and where the price crashed.

I definetly suggest you ethereum and waves. I am waiting for these two will be huge in 2018. I am holding waves for long time, but ethereum can be good for a short time investment too.

It is impossible to say with certainty that the coin will grow in price, yet we understand that it will develop and prospects, thanks to the efforts of the team, of course there is. You can try to buy ARK coins into a long-term asset and after half a year gain growth.

$500 is small capital you can buy coin less with 2 digit price and I think the best coin for you is waves coin because this coin will increase the price in the future possible pricd become hundreds dollars in the next  few months and you will earn a lot of profit for sure if you have waves coin.  Price of waves coin is less than $15 so you can 40 waves coin and thats good because what if the price become thousands dollars like ethereum for sure will you will earn 5 digit and that's good for you.  But it's your choice if you want to buy waves or not.  The decision is yours and you will be happy if the price  of waves coin become hundreds lf thousands dollars.
