A quick step-by-step guide on how to buy bitcoins with cash on LocalBitcoins you can try:
1. Find a seller in your area who accepts cash.
2. Select amount of coins and place an order.
3. Receive account number from the seller.
4. Deposit cash into the seller's account.

For more than a year that I've been active in the cryptocurrency ecosystem I personally haven't come across bitcoinofamerica.org yet so I really couldn't recommend that you continue using it.

If you're from the United States, try these sites out. Choose the one that works best for you. Maybe compare the prices or so.

For the lowest fees you should go with an exchange.
There are many to choose from, it really depends on where you live.
For me Kraken was the best because the provide SEPA transactions at no costs.
The only charge a small fee every coin exchange you do.

You can use coinbase instead when buying bitcoin because they have an option that you can pay only cents choose the bank option if you are living in United states you can pay i think 15 cents for every exchange from your fiat to bitcoin..
This is less fee than the other option that it takes 3.99% fee for every exchange ..  You can check it here to know the fees https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/2109597-buy-sell-bank-transfer-fees

So what's your payment method of buying bitcoins?
You can buy here but of course because of trust issues you have to use an escrow for this and you have to choose a reputed members like higher members with escrow. You can navigate to currency exchange of the forum or just go directly here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0.

You can definitely expect to pay these sort of markups if you are buying bitcoin. There is really no way around that, unless you are verified on major exchanges with very small spreads. If you have a verified coinbase account then i would suggest purchasing from there.

Otherwise, use localbitcoins.

Probably the fastest way to get bitcoin, though expect to pay at least 3-5% over spot for coins.

Buying bitcoins from coinbase isn't good imo if you choose the bank option there's a 7 day waiting period before they give out your bitcoins. I think the fees will depend because my friend from the US bought a small portion of bitcoin ~70usd with his bank account and he was charged with a $4 fee together with the waiting time.

you could buy bitcoins from www.localbitcoins.com as there are many options on that website form which we can select a convenient price and then make the deal. You have the option to buy from cash also, you just have to look for a convenient price and place on the website and then carry out the deal. If you know any local seller who accepts cash and bank transfer then you can buy the bitcoins from him and make the payment.

try localbitcoins its pretty convenient and safe if you are dealing with trusted traders on there, or you can buy from sellers on bitcointalk itself make sure you are trading with someone trusted with good feedback related to trades and also use escrow if its a big amount.

Buy bitcoin or ethereum from Cex.io with your usual credit cards however I haven't used them to actually buy anything there but they are in business for long time.

You can find many sellers near you through localbitcoins or paxful, try to search for sellers there who will accept local bank transfer.

Find exchange services that accept deposit from your country here https://www.bitcoin.com/buy-bitcoin

I am also the user of localbitcoins since I started in bitcoin earnings. In recent days that bitcoin deposit fees has been added to that exchange wallet. I think you haven't had a trade with all the traders in the localbitcoins because some of the traders have security concerns with the ID verification before you initiate the trade.

Yes its risky to trade on localbitcoins like peer to peer trading platform specially when you are selling bitcoin for reversible payment methods like skrill, paypal etc.

Lots of traders there who offer too good offer to be true are just scammers, its better to find some reputed member to make a trade.

Have you ever tried to contact the customer service support of coinbase? You should settle it while you are looking for some other place to buy bitcoin.

Mostly you can buy with different exchange platform that popular, bittrex, cex.io and poloniex.

And if you want to make your transaction safe here in forum, you can find nice guy to escrow a transaction with those people that are selling their eth for btc.

As your first purchase, I would rather suggest some centralized exchange with a good reputation. Use localbitcoins only if you are confident in your ability to conduct a p2p trade.
And it might be a bit overwhelming at first, not to mention p2p trading is associated with higher risk than buying coins from an exchange.
Just remember to read a guides and tutorials on how to trade and use localbitcoins, like this: https://localbitcoins.com/guides/how-to-sell-bitcoins-online (https://localbitcoins.com/guides/how-to-sell-bitcoins-online)

Direct buying could be decrease the fees so i think better go directly to cex.io could be recommended as of now for less fee when buying bitcoin..
There are also other where to buy bitcoins but the fee is in average coinmama could be good as alternative..
Other exchange will be high fee like virwox its really high when buying bitcoin using paypal its not good choice when buying bitcoins..
If you are living in india  zebpay would be good option for instant and cheap fee.. for local exchanges.

Since we are having bitcoins is saved in our any form wallet we cannot transact without fees at all. But we can reduce the fees and in our desktop wallet by customizing it. Whether bitcoin purchase you are making in online or with the local trader in your city. You have to afford for fees compulsory. LBC's deposit is now troubling me to sell or buy bitcoins.

Sme others use this method to buy bitcoins
1. Go to the exchange section
2  Now you will exchnage your paypal account if you haveit
3.  Only exchange with Sr. Member accounts above if you must
4.  You must go first if your transacting a Sr. Member+ accounts

Other possible methods first install  coins.ph first to confirm some possible branches that are available im your are so first install sign up go to cash in options then speculate if theres an available options that are availabke in your area  but after you confirm that they have that you must first validate your account to be able to withdraw cash in because they have limits to secure an account

yes, localbitcoin is the best solution for the purchase of bitcoin or fiat exchange, although there are not many facilities to exchange or buy bitcoin in my country because the legality of bitcoin is still illegal, but I never had a problem for bitcoin transactions through localbitcoin.

You can buy bitcoin directly form the coinbase wallet services if you are Non US based as the are having some trouble transacting there. Rest is very simple, just checkout with your visa or debit card as like normal shopping you would do. Furthermore there are more wallets like this but I would suggest you to look for your own countrys wallet. Like there is Zebpay for specifically India, so they can transact with normal banking system to buy the bitcoin. That's far far great than any other ways like people are suggesting here localbitcoin. But that would be risky to have third men inside to do the transaction. There is also heavy feed for you plus the market value and their value never matches. So get to know your local wallets first.

Kraken offers crypto trading against USD, EUR, CAD, and JPY. Depending on one’s region, it offers a variety of deposit and withdrawal gateways, including SEPA, SWIFT, EFT, and direct transfers. There are no deposit fees, and withdrawal fees differ for each currency and method.
The exchange accommodates an array of fiat/crypto trading pairs, but the most popular for USD and EUR include BTC, XRP, ETH, BCH, and LTC.

Please do not go with any centralized exchange, once they become with the peak market circulation with them. If any legalization issue you find in your countries you will not able to being anoymous in the market.

Localbitcoins.com would be best choice for converting the bitcoin to cash and for buying as well as much knowledge.

That's right even me I don't trust in a centralized wallet maybe someday they will disappear together with your bitcoin storage.
If I'm not mistaken Blockchain.info wallet is decentralized bitcoin and ethereum wallet, right? because you are the one who holds your private key.
To OP's question, it depends where the country he is. But here our country we have a blockchain base wallet that may store fiat through remittance and you may convert bitcoin or ethereum in the option, so it is easy for us to buy and sell bitcoin here.

Most preferably you will be find the good traders on the localbitcoins.com exchange mate. Kindly check the trader with the rating and review about him and you can go buy the bitcoins mate. If you want to go with the cheap amount you need to check the limit of the trader.

Because some of the trader have the huge amount to have the trade. that is the biggest problem ever you see now.

I think the main thing is your strategy that how you do trade and second thing is how much time is needed your strategy to put and for how much time than you make a buy bitcoin because bitcoin price gives you benefit only the way that how you buy and for short time trading or for long-term holding that depends on your strategy.

Your  location  matters  too  when  coming  up  with a  suitable  location  to  get  youir  btc.  in  my  case  am  not  in  the  states  and  thus i  cant  use coinbase.  there  are  numerous  sites  which  can  now  be  used  when  making a  btc  purchase.   some  of  the  sites   which  have  reasonable rates  include  the  following.

1. localbitcoin
2. Coinmama
3. Bitstamp

you  also have to  factor  in  the  amount  of  btc  you  will be  acquiring.  i  realized  that  some  of  the  sites are  suitable  for  people  who  want  to  acquire  small  amount  of  btc  when  compared  to  the  rest.  this  is  due  to  the   difference  in  charges in  place.

I use to buy and sell the bitcoin on localbitcoins.com website. In this website you will find the traders with the rating system. If you see the marketplace value go bigger than expected value you need to go to sell the bitcoin and buy the bitcoin when it is opposite dude.

Check the local traders available in the country. If you see the local traders in LBC. You will be check the rating of the trader and then go for trading with them.

It's a great comparison tool that will show you crypto exchanges based on your location, coin you want and payment method.

By far the easiest way to find the right exchange.

There has been scam accusation thread opened against changenow among others, so, its' not advisable to recommend it to anybody at the moment pending when they will come out and very their selves of the scam level against them.

I bought bitcoin at a local exchange and it was very safe. if there are complaints it's easier because they respond quickly.
Indodax is a local exchange in my country, I am safe to use it
