In India the government is planning to legalize it. Talks and discussions are going on for it. I think it may take a year to take some decision about it in India. They also have a plan to include it in goods and service section. In the near future, I hope most of the countries will legalize it, because its getting popular day by day.
Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: DaMut on October 05, 2017, 06:25:53 PM what does that mean by legalization ?
are you saying about it's legally used ? in every country you can buy something and pay it using Bitcoin. as long that store support it, no matter what is it,if they do not support it you can not buy it at all. if you're asking about global legalization in some country, that mean Bitcoin should be regulated first by them. and we can talk about global legalization, but right now,if they did not ban it.you can use it as your wish, but the requirement is the store support it. Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: jumpercrypto on October 05, 2017, 06:34:34 PM What do you mean legalizing bitcoin?
As far as I'm concern, by it's nature, bitcoin is legal. However, certain organizations like banks or government may ban it if they feel it'll do bad than good. But that doesn't mean that it is illegal. So I hope if this will.be so, I hope better not legalize it. :D

Quote Whilst the majority of countries do not make the usage of bitcoin itself illegal (with the exceptions of: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ecuador & Kyrgyzstan), its status as money (or a commodity) varies, with differing regulatory implications. Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: jak3 on October 05, 2017, 06:50:44 PM Why do you even want to see bitcoin as a Legalized Currency? Is that really worth it? I mean if you believe that government should control everything and they can handle it as well better than anything then I am not saying that they can not. I know they can do that better than anyone but As bitcoin is designed it can manage itself pretty impressively and I believe no one can ever match this much point to point transaction logging which our wallets do. I mean the online ledger system and Private/Public key sign all these stuff make bitcoin a perfect cryptocurrency.it needs no Managment from government.

Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: PMmesexycoins on October 05, 2017, 07:12:14 PM I think you have it backwards. It doesn't need to be legalized. To legalize there would need be a law against it first, and there's no laws forbidding it almost anywhere.
That would be case for many drugs and substances around the globe, but not crypto. Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: stompix on October 05, 2017, 07:18:01 PM when will legalization bitcoin? Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: alva5763 on October 05, 2017, 07:21:12 PM Bitcoin does not have to be legalised. If a buyer and seller agree on a bitcoin transaction it is not illegal. Think back to the days before coinage was introduced where bartering was the means of trade whether it was for goods or services eg the work of a blacksmith or carpenter. When governments get involved there are complications introduced. Laws and methods to be followed instead of a free market. Governments may be interested in those who make money from bitcoins, either trading or just holding as an investment from a revenue charge being claimed. Best to keep bitcoin as a free market between investors and traders.

As far as i heard no one is getting their salary in Bitcoins, and I mean on full time jobs. I guess that governments still doesn't have reliable way of tracking trades of Bitcoin, so that they could legalize it fully and start allowing people to pay their workers in Bitcoins. There are currency exchange places where i change my Bitcoins to my country currency, and they pay tax for their business. Which makes it totally legal. I guess till all things fell in order, Bitcoin and paying with it will stay in grey area.or already somehow now it is possible to legalize the income received from Bitcoin? Partly you are right. Nobody forbids you own digital property. For example, an account in the Second World War and gold in it. But is it legal to accept payments in bitcoin? This is different. From the point of view of business, everything looks different. You must report to the counterparts. Make payments, make deposits, etc. And there are limitations to these operations. Therefore, owning bitcoin and using it is not the same. Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: daserpent on October 09, 2017, 08:30:01 PM Japan legalised it recently. Bitcoins are of interest to law enforcement agencies, tax authorities and legislators. They all want to match the existence of this cryptanalyst to a specific legal framework. In fact, its legality depends on how you handle it and how you do it, just like with a conventional currency. Lawmakers and regulators have set themselves the goal of verifying that the bitcoin currency is lawfully used. And although Bitcoin has been online recently, it has generated a lot of discussion and litigation in the legal world. The uncertainty of the authorities about this cryptanalyst comes from incomplete knowledge on this subject. So, is bitcoin really legal? A large part of the topic concerns the US, where most of the legal conflicts with bitcoins take root. Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: NelfiNovita on October 23, 2017, 07:44:14 AM legalization of bitcoin is coming but its very soon from now cause there's a country dont want to accept bitcoin because they think bitcoin is scam because they do not know all about bitcoin so they think that bitcoin is a scam, it seems to me that only people who have little insight are easy to conclude on this point.Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: NelfiNovita on October 23, 2017, 07:53:38 AM I hope the country whose population of bitcoin users immediately legalize bitcoin in its area, because it will be very helpful for its own population both economic problems and transactions of goods or services payments.

Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: bitart on October 23, 2017, 09:17:55 AM legalization of bitcoin is coming but its very soon from now cause there's a country dont want to accept bitcoin because they think bitcoin is scam because they do not know all about bitcoin so they think that bitcoin is a scam, it seems to me that only people who have little insight are easy to conclude on this point. The second is, governments and tax authorities can't really follow the payment chain when bitcoin is used as the method of the payment. They prefer the bank transfer, which they can trace easily. Using cash above the sum of $1.000 is also banned in most of the countries in the EU (or something similar, to prevent money laundry). It's not easy to move large sum of money in cash. If people/companies moves it via bank transfer, it's traceable. But it's easy to move a large amount of money if it's in bitcoin, and thats a pain for the tax authorities, because they're not prepared to track it yet, so they won't allow it's usage as long as they find something that can help them to deal with bitcoin transfers. Maybe it's not illegal to pay with bitcoin, but a shop or a store can't accept payment in bitcoin, because they can't legally account the income in their ledgers. Incomes which are not taxable are not good for the economy/government, this is why central banks are against bitcoin at the moment... Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: Redanim on October 23, 2017, 09:31:23 AM Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency which means it is an alternate currency to our own. Bitcoin adds a new element to the world economy and it cant go through inflation. Bitcoin is supported by thousands of people "mining" for bitcoins. 1. Bitcoins unlike the federal currency are not backed by federal funding and banks to make it secure, instead they have separate people making it secure. 2. Bitcoin mining is where you make your computer do complicated math equations while you slowly rake it bitcoin profit by helping the security of the currency. By offering an incentive (bitcoins) for securing the currency they make people want to help, getting stronger by the day. Bitcoins are an economic revolution and their functions are useful and plentiful. Some countries already legalized bitcoin, other will join soon.
Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: eternalgloom on October 23, 2017, 10:02:13 AM Bitcoin can't be legalized that easily .. It can cause an economic problem for many countries .. Then how was it possible for the Japanese government to regulate and legalize Bitcoin so easily? No, I think regulating it is fairly easy and straightforward and shouldn't even cause too much problems for most countries. Regulating Bitcoin is just a matter of adjusting a few laws, which could take some time, but I wouldn't say is especially hard either. Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: fateh1313 on October 23, 2017, 10:11:57 AM Russia and japan already legalize the bitcoin and other countries should legalize bitcoin soon because crypto currency is more safe and transparent then fiat currency, in our country it will take time to legalize because its developing country not developed one, we not have so advance and stable technology and system to implement to whole country .

Once, it’s legalized then it will be easier to track those people who attempt to use it in illegal activities. Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: Fundalini on October 23, 2017, 11:09:15 AM Lots of countries have already legalized bitcoin and only a few who view them as illegal remains. According to this list (https://coin.dance/poli#legalitybycountry), it seems that many countries have a neutral view of bitcoin compared to those who view it as illegal.
Legalization does not happen on those countries because somehow, they see btc a threat to their economic stability or they simply have no means to regulate it at this moment. Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: Boov on October 23, 2017, 11:17:40 AM when will legalization bitcoin? why this does not happen? are there any countries that have legalized bitcoin? They are still new in digital currency or crypto currency that why they can not legalized it to their country. They are just trying to protect their people in scam. We know that in internet scamming is the biggest problem. Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: senin on October 24, 2017, 03:17:57 PM Due to the fact that the interest to the crypto currency has increased and it has started to strongly influence the economy of all countries, the states are studying the nature of the crypto currency and the possibility of its legislative use within the country. For those countries that have not yet decided on this issue, it is possible to use crypto currency, since there is no special prohibition on its use. However, in this case it is problematic to protect your rights related to the crypto currency. In other countries, either it is recognized as a means of payment and then everything is normal with the circulation of the crypto currency, or its circulation is prohibited by law. To date, crypto currency is banned only in Bangladesh and some other country.

Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: Cindy1983 on October 24, 2017, 03:24:50 PM It'll take more time to legalize Bitcoin in more country in the world cause it's not easy when any country want to legalize Bitcoin that mean they have to have enough ability to control both advantages and disadvantages of Bitcoin. Beside Bitcoin transaction is almost anonymous so it's really hard to control the Bitcoin income so there are a lot of people trying to evade taxes and some other guys take advantage of Bitcoin to commit crime so it's the main reason why there are only few countries all over the world that legalized Bitcoin.

However, there are around 69 countries which have been lenient towards this cryptocurrency and have given it legal or quasi-legal status. Some of these countries are Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Japan, Ukraine, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States etc.

Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: schatzi on April 30, 2018, 03:39:04 PM In my opinion it may take a lot of consideration to legalize a bitcoin system because it needs to be re-examined for the technology in use, because it requires a long process also to hone a bitcoin. if there is any distortion what about the level of security and also how with the supervision. So need special attention to make bitcoin. Some may be ready to accept the existence of bitcoin as their means of exchange and some will deny the existence of bitcoin with its system. So that's in my opinion, thank you.

So this means cryptocurrencies will be legal in the most countries, because the most of them will need a really long time until they will makes some laws for cryptocurrencies, how to handle them and how to regulate. So untill these days you just have to worry about how to tax them right. When you tax them, you have nothing to fear!

Bitcoins aren't illegal to use per say, but bitcoins are frowned upon by most countries by how people use it to launder large amounts of money without getting traced. Governments find this problem troubling because it literally sucks out their money and use it to pump other country's economy. Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: Lounadolcy on May 04, 2018, 02:37:47 PM The legal status of bitcoin varies substantially from country to country and is still undefined or changing in many of them. Whereas the majority of countries do not make the usage of bitcoin itself illegal, its status as money (or a commodity) varies, with differing regulatory implications. While some countries have explicitly allowed its use and trade, others have banned or restricted it. Likewise, various government agencies, departments, and courts have classified bitcoins differently. While this article provides the legal status of bitcoin, regulations and bans that apply to this cryptocurrency likely extend to similar systems as well.

But that doesn't mean that it is illegal and I guess it is another topic b ause for sure once it is legalize the taxes or Vat comes along with it which is a reay big burden to use for sure because aside from the fees we put in blockchain then here comes the government collecting and eliminating some coins as to taxes.

Technological advancements will lead to a great future ahead of us, maybe a couple of decades from now and i guess using of fiat will be just a secondary options as a method of payment since technology can do it now. Bitcoin will be the primary and main reason why these things will happen in the future and that is why the prohibition of bitcoin is still a debate topic since we do have different governance who handles us. If ever bitcoin will be legalized and accepted by the government, banks would be useless at all and cryptocurrency, blockchain and other platform will take its place for monetary system.Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: lunasol on May 04, 2018, 06:55:42 PM If you think about it, what country would WANT to legalize Bitcoin. Not that it is technically 'illegal,' but this would be a major loss for countries if they hop on board. The main source of power they have over their people is the money they tax, and Bitcoin isn't appealing when it comes to 'tax.' I doubt countries would 'legalize' Bitcoin without some type of catch. They'd probably legalize platforms like Coinbase since they're already working with nations' governments.

In addition, throughout America you can find a large number of Bitcoin ATMs.
The fact that the use of cryptocurrency in the US is legal, I think it is already clear. There are even a few institutions at the state level that ensure that virtual money is used only for legitimate purposes. Yes, indeed Japan is one step ahead, and it is actively legalizing cryptocurrencies. If we talk about the United States of America, the fact that bitcoin has become one of the official financial instruments used in the US economy, the currency it is not considered. The law classifies bitcoin as property from which taxes are taken. Without the help of the United States, the country legalized or just going to legalize bitcoin, can not do. Title: Re: Legalization bitcoin Post by: newgal2017 on May 06, 2018, 02:20:59 PM There are a lot of countries that have acknowledged and accepted bitcoin as a part of business industry. There are banks in some countries that are already linked with cryptocurrency, allowing their people to freely use bitcoin in transactions.
When it comes to the legalization of bitcoin, worldwide, it is still a vague subject and requires a thorough discussion. One of the possible reasons for a country to make a law in order to prohibit the use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is that transactions made by the use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency can’t be traced by the government. Consequently this transactions can’t be taxed by the government, leaving a big impact unto the income of government. Also, the government view Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency as threats to the their local currency. If the number of people who are using flat or physical money that are legalize by the government are being lessen then it wasn’t being use to it’s utmost purpose.
