I'm not sure how to answer the market cap question, since this is not an equity.

I was live when the minicap hit, really glad to see this kind of projects taking a good turn! I just registered to ask a questio  because I got a problem joining the telegram group.

Can someone please tell me will there be streaming on the platform? I am an aspiring streamer and have put some ETH hoping for a good future for guys like me who hope to earn from their hobbies? I will start uploading videos really soon and hope you'll like them.

Do you have mobile app yet? Or when is plans for iOS or similar?

Streaming is a commonly requested feature, and as such is on our roadmap.
We are currently focusing on regular video first, since it is easier from bootstrapping and technical execution perspectives.

Mobile apps are crucial, however during the 'early adopter' stage we would prefer to move faster with a single app, and iterate on the product/market fit. The native iOS/Android apps will be developed soon thereafter.

Thanks for the answer! And how about just sounds/music? Something lets say like the app would play just the sound of a vodeo in the background without consuming my entire 4g connection and battery? That would be awesome.

Yes, while transcoding videos for adaptive bitrate, we also split video and audio tracks. So this would be just an UI feature on top - very useful for music, podcasts and audiobooks.

Vasja Zupan is one of your advisers, can it be safe to say that Viewly will be also traded on Bitstamp, given the fact that he is the COO of the exchange?

Bitstamp has very high standards as a fully licensed entity, and I think they are only interested in listing the largest and most valuable tokens.

So if Viewly is ever listed on Bitstamp, it will be trough its own merit, but this isn't likely to happen anytime soon.

Which blockchain are you using? How does it work?

The current prototype is on top of STEEM, but we are going trough infrastructural overhaul for the MVP.

There is an abundance of small content creators that are willing to try new venues. The amount of new content being produced daily is more than a single person could watch in their entire lifetime.

A bigger, and more important challenge is to cater to larger content creators with strong personal brands and loyal audiences.

Up to 18% is for the team, but this is not by any means immediate. This distribution will take place over years, and will involve people that are yet to join Viewly (and will help it grow to the next level).

At this time, founders and team are receiving 0% of the tokens. Our vesting starts after the main ICO, and we will only allocate a smaller portion of 18%, such that we have plenty of room left for future organizational growth.

The bounty system allows you to propose new bounties, so that anyone can utilize out how to best apply their skills. Its also tied to the affiliate program.

These tokens don't exist at the moment. Their issuance and transfers will be made trough evolving smart contract system. Currently, the core team represents the quorum of decision makers, however this is open for change as the project grows.

Yes, the two main branches of the project are the serverless video transcoding, decentralized storage and cdn marketplace and the cryptocurrency enabled monetization models.
The former is technically more challenging, and less critical for the time being, so after spending some time on prototyping and attempting to figure out all relevant challenges, we've decided to postpone it for now.

The main focus of the Viewly project in 2017 and 2018 will be content monetization and creator onboarding.

How will you move from STEEM to EOS and how will this ETH tokens move in this mix?

In terms of monetization, do you have a plan to share the wealth fairly among the creators? Most platforms tend to have the top 1% or less making all the profits and then everyone else fighting over the scraps...

What kind of audience are you going to go after? Any specific niche?
How are you going to acquire users and keep them active?

Using frictionless payments and the ability to merchandise, will be content creators be able to:

The strategy is to appeal to creators, and they would in turn bring their audiences.

The fairness advantage in Viewly stems from removal of conflict of interest between viewers and the ad revenue optimization.

As far as the revenue distribution goes, it will likely be some form of the power law.

If Ethereum fails to become a feasible underlying platform in the future, the tokens will be exchange-able for the tokens on a different chain.
Ideally, all of the coins would be included in the genesis, but more realistically, a claiming faucet should be setup to make people whole after the launch.

I know EOS is something that you are considering.
Now, in the whitepaper, you talk about how anyone can host their own videos or pay for someone , a hosting node, to host them at a low fee( hosting nodes compete in the  marketplace)
Dan Larimar was talking about EOS storage where anybody could host his video, thus guaranteeing the user a decentralized file redundancy.

As I understand it, the one who wsnts to upload a video, for example, will have it's tokens locked as long as he wants his file, in this case video, to he online.
If, at one point, he decides to delete the video, he gets his tokens unlocked and he is free to sell them.

How would this fit into Viewly?
Would this type of storage make the hosting nodes obsolete?
I see how this would work, for example, if the content creator would like to not host his files on his computer but on the EOS storage.

Hey guys, I'm having trouble obtaining the purchased pre-ICO VIEW tolkens to MyEtherWallet. Don't you add a tolken, put in the VIEW contact address, put in VIEW for tolken symbol, and then put in 8 decimals??

We will definitely experiment with EOS Storage.

Viewly is a bit more challenging, as storage alone is not enough. For a smooth playback, videos need to be distributed to a worldwide CDN.
At this time, the system proposed in our whitepaper is still the most plausible option.

nah from from it, we've specifically tried to focus our community into TG instead of letting people settle into whatever they like best hence other channels have been a little neglected. If you're interested in presale you're actually running a little late, not too early

If you mean video format, that basically just depends on the encoder we use on the back end and what that can support i.e. h264 . In terms of content, at least pre launch we'll be aiming for the high quality mainstream and auteurs and artists types of content and likely opt-in walls for the riskier stuff.

Community voting will also play a factor as time goes on
