Title: Bitcoin being a top currency
Post by: enterprevic on October 07, 2017, 01:56:11 PM
Bitcoin is a very fast booming and rising currency and I have been hearing about there being a physical bitcoin I mean in the form of a metal. Now if this is possible I would like to know if bitcoin would be a generally accepted means of payment in the next years to come and what are the possibilities of other currencies meeting it( I mean in demand and supply)

Don't presume or think that Bitcoin is a physical fiat that could be generated physically, you misunderstood this, Bitcoin is a virtual technology driven currency, it has been created thru the peoples network and hashes. It is already accepted means of payment to a certain merchants around the globe.

I think bitcoin is not physical, because bitcoin is a digital currency, if there is a bitcoin physical form it is just a replica and its value is not the same as the real bitcoin.

Yes it is correct that the currency of bitcoin is fast moving from low to high. It is not surprising that as of now, the bitcoin is on the top currency because there are a lot of investors and people who supports it. I read also about creating a actual bitcoin that can be use to buy anything on the market but I think they will study it first because it has a lot of effect on our economy.

there are still need more time before bitcoin become legitimate currency, bitcoin still have to be accepted to all of country in the world, and all people have to know how to use bitcoin. if all of that is complete. still have little problem about the price of bitcoin which is very volatile. so bitcoin need to really stable to become currency

I have had a 1/2 oz Silver 0.25 BTC Lealana physical coin that can be loaded with bitcoin if the user sees fit, though that doesn't technically mean that it belongs to one of the minted coins by mining as bitcoin can only be acquired digitally by solving complex algorithms and whatnot. Also along the way, it wouldn't be impossible for bitcoin to be accepted in giant stores and groceries since tech stores such as NewEgg have already began accepting it and others might followed suit with the help of BitPay.

I think it could be used as a generally accepted means of payment however not in the way you describe.
Bitcoin is a virtual currency that uses peer-to-peer, which means person to person without a bank controlling the currency (decentralized).
When physical Bitcoins would be made, the currency wouldn't be decentralized because there would need to be a company that creates these coins.
It's also inefficient, the only way I think of a uses would be coins with a value on it which could be redeemed to a wallet by scanning a QR code or manually typing a phrase. But that would be the same as just directly scanning a QR from a phone and you don't need a coin for that.

Bitcoin is completely digital form of currency but yes it can be recognized as legal currency in most of the countries by next few years as more and more merchants have started accepting bitcoin.

There are still many countries where trading bitcoin is considered illegal like in my country.  >:( Some government are morons, I can't stop myself from laughing when I see most of the news/media outlet here writing all nonsense about bitcoin.

Bitcoin might be a relatively acceptable means of paying for goods and services in a few years, but it will still need a lot of people to be willing to accept Bitcoin or use it in some capacity for that to be a reality. That's going to require a fair amount of growth and activity, and that's something that might not be easy unless there is some considerable demand for Bitcoin, which might be in the form of new people joining the community or just more activity from existing members.

It is unlikely other cryptos will be able to hit the same level as Bitcoin at any part of their lifespan.

Making Bitcoin physical would kind of defeat the purpose. I don't think it's possible, but if it is, it won't be sustainable. Also, it having a physical form won't impact acceptance at all, since being digital has never been a problem.

I think there is already a Bitcoin in a physical form like a literal real coin but it is not for paying stuff just like the fiat money. And yes it could be possible in the future once the government would accept bitcoin all over the world as a form of payment even on the over the counter things we buy. But this is really very far from the real thing.

When I saw China and South Korean decide to accept bitcoin, I think there will be more country and will legalized bitcoin as well

I too heard about these physical bitcoin which are called casascius coins which has a bitcoin valvue depending on the material and its balance.  Casascius coins has a paper like thingy inside it which has a private key embedded into it that has Bitcoins inside once redeemed. So yeah, it's like a paper wallet and nothing more.

Yes I hope so in the near future bitcoin will be the top currency it has the potential because the transaction of this crypto currency is increasing day by day which will make the future of bitcoin bright. In a simple saying bitcoin get much popularity in a very short time which is the sign of success. Therefor we should invest in this type of currency to get excess amounts in the future.

currently most of countries have doubts about bitcoins just because of they cannot control this in last few months we have some positive ways for bitcoins as Japan Taiwan giving soft policies for this and China is also working on this hope this could help and bitcoin could be top currency but still long way to go for this journey

You can get a physical bitcoin as a sort of trinket, but it is essentially useless in of itself

You can however use it to hold your bitcoin(s) key

Bitcoin being a top 'currency' indeed sounds very good and has a possibility.
but if we want to become like that,do not you think that we need a physical to back it up ?
if that thing happen,i think Bitcoin itself will lose its value.
even though we heard about casascius(indeed it's real and you can buy it on ebay),it still do not have any use in a real life.
it's more like a jewelry in my opinion and does not used as a payment method.

in the next few years later on,
every countries will regulated every exchanger,so they can track and record everything that we have.
that time there'll be a time for Bitcoin to get used by people and generally accepted.

The physical bitcoin that you are referring is called "Casascius bitcoin".

https://www.casascius.com

However, I do not think that the physical bitcoin will be mass produce to be used like the usual coins we have. However, you can spend it because the private key is embedded on the coins if I'm not mistaken. So you can import it directly to your Core wallet or Electrum.

Bitcoin is intangible currency and cannot be mold in physical form any how. It works on restricted ecosystem known as Blockchain. When someone send Bitcoins from one address to other, there is no real movement. But there is just transfer of ownership from one address to other. So even if someone says transferring paper wallet is physical movement of Bitcoin, he is wrong as when the other person import keys, he is just transferring ownership, not Bitcoin itself.

i think the physical bitcoin is not bitcoin, its different than bitcoin. bitcoin don't have any physical yet and i am not sure if there will be bitcoin physical and i am curious how it looks like. soon after more country approve bitcoin, bitcoin can be use as payment like money itself. but for now, we can use bitcoin in internet and we can do trade for increase our amount. i think bitcoin now is in the top currency and people out there is only know bitcoin than the other coins but after they are in crypto world (in exchanges), they will learn that there is many coins inside the crypto currency world.

Bitcoin develops gradually every year. Right now we are starting to see a lot of stores that accept bitcoin. This is an advancement because then we can see the bitcoin circulating in society is getting bigger. It may take some time until we can see bitcoin being one of the commonly used currencies. Currently we are still inhibited by regulation and uneven infrastructure in some areas.

Bitcoin enjoys the first mover advantage among cryptocurrencies. There are potentially and technically better altcoins than Bitcoin. But they are no where near to Bitcoin's marketcap or popularity. Regarding its adoption. Indeed the adoption rate will increase with time. This year only, many merchants have started accepting Bitcoin as a payment with Dubai apartment being sold for Bitcoin being the major one. Trend is surely to continue in future.

Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency. I believe that this is the father of all cryptocurrency. It is the first one that was created in this world of crypto. What do you mean by generally accepted means of payment? Like making bitcoin as the payment for example ordering a pizza? Well there is one traveler that made it possible. He only have 100 usd and having 3 bitcoins on his acc and he visited to cities.

i don't know if the mention of "physical bitcoin" was related to your question or not but remember that "physical bitcoin" is mainly a collectible than being for usage. as a collector you buy it and keep it among your collections of valuables. it can even be an investment. these coins contain bitcoin in their keys after all so you gain profit on them on top of them being a rare item.

Lol no one actually spends physical bitcoin in the way you spend a physical dollar. They exist only for either nostalgia or novelty purposes. If you accepted them it would be impossible because the coin makers make small batches and they're all so different.

it is not a physical currency it is digital, some of the metal or materials have been used to create physical bitcoin which inside is an adress and it's private key but i think the services were already stopped by the local Government because the owner needs to have a license on that business. Bitcoin is slowly accepted by different countries the possiblity of bitcoin replacing other money as a primary currency is possible but it doesn't mean that it will replace the function of fiat money.

It is possible that in the future Bitcoin will be accepted as a payment. Currently, it is already accepted in countries wherein it is already legal as a currency such that it is allowed to be used to buy thing in those countries. And as the users of Bitcoin is getting higher, the possibility that it will be legal to most countries and be used in regular transactions is becoming bigger. Also, I didn't heard of Bitcoin having a physical form but it won't be a hindrance for bitcoin to be used in payments.

Nah man that must be fan following creation of physical bitcoin. There is no such thing like bitcoin in the physical form which has been created officially or published so. I'm not sure if they are even thinking of doing that in the time to come because even they make it like that way it don't be used as currency because there is no way to trade it like that. People will find hard time using it and in the country's under development that's going to bad circus ever. Bitcoin works perfectly over the internet and the major change like physical bitcoin would not be good enough for it.

Bitcoin can be possibly use for payments in all establishments if it is declared legal to use in a certain country because it will be the most convenient and most safest way in form of payment unlike bringing cash for payments it may steal or lost in the streets but i doubt if it can be shifted to metal due to I think most of us are contented that bitcoin is a digital currency because again it is very convenient & safe to use so it is much better to remain in this way.

most people confuse bitcoin's growth and adoption with bitcoin replacing fiat. these are completely different things. more adoption of bitcoin means a secondary option alongside fiat systems for payments.
additionally bitcoin can grow and be adopted by a lot more people and since there are 8 decimals after 1 bitcoin there will not be any issues as far as supply is concerned, the price just keeps going up and makes 1 satoshi valuable enough to be used.

Now almost all countries began to look closely at the crypto-currency due to the fact that it has an increasing influence on the economy of all countries. These countries will now have to decide in what form and how they will introduce the crypto currency into their economies, because they can not stop or prohibit this process. However, this process is lengthy and can span several years.

Is the physical form of bitcoin can be called as digital currency? I don't think bitcoin needs the physical form.
Bitcoin must be digital and there is no company which produced and organized it (decentralized).
For now, i think bitcoin can used as medium of exchange but not in daily usage because of its volatility.
Bitcoin can become top cryptocurrency because it is the first cryptocurrency with higher price than other coins.
And most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money.
So i think bitcoin will stand as a top digital currency and more popular in the future.

Bitcoin is a very fast booming and rising currency and I have been hearing about there being a physical bitcoin I mean in the form of a metal. Now if this is possible I would like to know if bitcoin would be a generally accepted means of payment in the next years to come and what are the possibilities of other currencies meeting it( I mean in demand and supply)

bitcoin at the present time increases, therefore the currency of bitcoin becomes valuable and becomes the highest compared to other currencies

I don't think that the physical form of bitcoin will be same as the real bitcoin. as we know that bitcoin is digital currency and it will be complicated if it is in form of physical bitcoin.

The price of something is not high because it is valuable. If people demand something too much, that thing is valuable. I think what is demanded is that it is known to people.

I am not in favor of a physical version of bitcoin. I am totally contented with the current version as it was originally intended to be. But of course less the long confirmation time and big transaction fee. Bitcoin is a digital currency so I guess it pretty much explains everything why a physical bitcoin is not needed, unless it is just some kind memorabilia.

Bitcoin will never have a physical form. It's too expensive and therefore will always be the risk that it will be fake scammers. In addition, any coin must contain a unique secret key. How can you trust the coin, the key to which was in the hands of others. Those who want to have a physical bitcoin does not understand the essence of cryptocurrency.

Actually the Bitcoin is the first used crypto currency online, and its having the highest price among the other cryptos and the biggest community. It is now famous a lot more than a few years ago, and also supported by so many marketplaces, and even legalized in some countries.
But it will take some other time to become a top currency worldwide

Yes, Bitcoin will be the top currency. If every country around the world accept Bitcoin so it will be possible. Otherwise, it's not possible. At now, Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency. Some country is accepted bitcoin now. It needs more time to legalize Bitcoin around the world. If this will happen so, Bitcoin will be the king of all currency.

Bitcoin is considered as a virtual currency and not a fiat that we have. It cannot have a physical object like metal. Gold bars and other value that can be used as back-up for different currencies. Bitcoin is different. Yes, it could be accepted as form of payments but it has a limit. It is on digitals only.

Yes, there is nothing to doubt about it top priority. It got listed to the top currency in terms of value, but haven't got the increased usage as many other currency that has been used all around. The growth it acquired from the beginning till now, that too in a very short time period cannot be achieved by anything else. This makes it stand unique among every currency.

Don't presume or think that Bitcoin is a physical fiat that could be generated physically, you misunderstood this, Bitcoin is a virtual technology driven currency, it has been created thru the peoples network and hashes. It is already accepted means of payment to a certain merchants around the globe.

I really like dothebeats idea about bitcoin yes bitcoin is digital and not like other currency that is fiat money that can be sure in certain exchange in stores and other merchant, we can surely put bitcoin in a physical body that can be its container and I think everyone here knows that we have physical bitcoin, and yes I think bitcoin can be easily accept in the merchant and store by a digital transaction that some are using right now and I think it is now common in the united states, so we can sure use bitcoin in any transaction in the future.

I totally agree, more and more people are interested in investing and are already equipped with the knowledge about Bitcoin.

What I am excited about is Proptherium.io, I was researching and found this promising company. They are an asset backed coin and are expecting great coin appreciation in a short period of time.  Proceeds from their ICO will be used to buy A-grade property worldwide which will generate rental income. You might want to check it out.

They also have pre-ICO token sale on November 10, 2017 at 12PM GMT.

A lot of cryptocurrencies are now emerging and Bitcoins are one of the originals. For me, the best is Ethereum! And it can possibly rank more than bitcoin. It has proved to be the best in terms of security and value. You may check this link for more information: www.propthereum.io
