As most of the gamblers think gambling is the easy way to multiply their money in short amount of time. But inside they all know that trading is the safest way to make profit but sometimes it takes some time. But still they all are gambling and making/loosing money.

So what's your reason to quit gambling and start trading?

I think trading has a way bigger gambling element than traditional gambling mate  ;D Plus you could double your money within minutes unlike trading where you need to be glued to your monitor watching all the graphs and news and shit. Too much work for too little gain.

The only good thing with trading is that you'll have a lesser chance of losing everything but the amount of profit you could get from both gambling and trading is the same imo huge amount risked huge reward .

I don't have any reason to move to trading because I don't have enough time to trade every single day.

Trading isn't a safe way to earn for sure. It is similar to gambling... well maybe a little bit better, but it still won't depend on you if you will earn or not, as you can't control how  price will change. It is better than gambling anyway, but it's still risky.

I don't have reason to stop gambling to start trading, as i do both. I don't gamble much, i don't trade a lot either now.

I have quite gambling after lossing so much but in starting days I have also lost so much in trading too. Although I think trading is way more safer than just gambling, you can make profit with your skills in trading while your profit in gambling completely depends on your luck.

I strongly disagree with this, because this is not true at all, you could not double your money in gambling, it is easy to say but so hard to be done. I could assure myself that I could get something in return in Trading even it takes months, at least it is worth the wait, unlike in gambling that you would only win in the first try, to the second, but after that, you are just going to lose all of your money and will be addicted to this.

Really? Mind you that after pumping there is dumping and your investment might be worth less or even close to nothing after some months. I prefer to have 2x my stake after 1 hour than wait months for UNKNOWN result. So yeah there is that.
And by the way buying shitcoins in the hope of getting rich is not trading in the slightest. It's called shooting in the dark aka gambling and it's similar to buying a lottery ticket. It might end up costing a lot or nothing at all.

Well at the moment both things are quite the same right now, altcoin market is a little bit unpredictable right now, and it can be "tagged" as a gamble because the high volatility of the markets.

it is difficult, i used to gamble a lot a few months ago, but thanks to god, i dont feel attracted to gamble anymore, i mean, i used to spend all the money that i had a few months ago, i did it wrong because i lost a lot of money because of those mistakes.

Best way to quit gambling and Start trading? There is no best way on doing it. The only way for you to achieve to quit on gambling is your decision and your commitment on it. It only takes ONE brave decision to stop gambling but that one brave decision is hard to do. but if you really wanted to quit, you will commit on quitting gambling by DECIDING ON STOPPING.

Trading  does really needed a lot of time and patience just to see the good results when you do it. And gambling we only think about its quick way of making money. But when we talk about quitting, I'm not going to quit gambling and start trading. Why I have to quit gambling just for a start of another hobby if I can do both of it?

For people who are addicted to gambling will never understand that gambling is for fun.For them gambling is about making money big forgetting that casinos do not run for charity they also want to make profit. Actually, I have not quit gambling yet. But I think I am going to since I want to put my money on worthy things. But anyways, trading is safer if you ask me. It is more accurate and not sinful (From a religious point of view). If you take gambling as an example, there is not an accurate percentage of your success because it is based on outside energy which we call it luck and inner energy like strategies or skills. On the other hand, trading might take a lots of time but it is accurate. That means you are going to gain profit if you trade.

As time passed by and with a lots of money that I've already lose inside my gambling activity then I realized that trading is another alternative ways to divert my attention and seek my luck, since they both have a risk I find trading much lesser one, now I still do some gambling but I already have a lots of time with trading activity.

I do not think that it is such an easy job specially if you are playing gambling for a long tine and now you have become addicted. Fiat or crypto, if crypto choose only famous and high volume trading

I've never quit gambling but I also do trading . both are risky thing to do but playing gambling is more risky because you could lose all your winnings in the long run so much better if you minimize your addiction in gambling like me and control greediness in order to make profit on gambling. as a trader I buy at low price of bitcoin and sell it on high price. But with market knowledge  you can make good profit as well as you can easily make 1-10% profit a day in trading but in gambling no knowledge helps you winning in long term. You will eventually loose all in gambling.

Best way? I do not have best way but I find a better way. I do not really quit on gambling but I limit the time I spent in gambling. The first thing I do is I find a thing, or a work where I can be busy enough to forget gambling because if I am doing nothing I want to relax and enjoy so I go to gambling. The next thing I do is make myself disappoint to gambling. I read lots of negative things about gambling like how many people suffer from gambling. It depends in one's person needs in life, because if he needs money in urgent the tendency is to play gambling. People have different reason but what i think is they much want an easy and fast money than slowly in trading.

If you want to start trading read about it first. Investopedia is a good choice. Get a bittrex or poloniex account and buy some altcoins. You can have better results than with Bitcoin if you don't have a lot of money.

If someone is doing great in gambling or in trading, than he/she will say gambling or the trading is the best.

As an example with 1 btc in gambling and in trading.
If we lose in gambling than we are losing all of the money instantly or within a day.
But if we invest in a coin and later the coin lost his value, so we lost the day but not the money. There is still hope the price will rise. (I am not talking about the shit coins)

So, if you quit no win gambling, better do some trading since it is a profitable in sense but not that too risky as it is. I think gambling and trading is almost similar with each other. these two things are both dealing with money, risk, winning and lossing. Maybe gambling is just on the bad side since it is already known for its dangerous risk because you might be tempted on risking more on it. I don't quit gambling even i do trading. No doubt it is true that gambling is easy and short way to multiple our money. But it is happen only when we have luck if we are not lucky then it is not happen and secondly trading is also risky way to earn profit. In trading, I have a trading plan that would let me study my trades and in case that the price go down, I still have a chance to buy more to average down or cut my loss and then find another trade or buy back lower. I still have some amount left to have a chance to get back my losses whereas when I bet it in gambling then its either win all or lose all so I will not have any amount left to gamble more but in trading, I still have some left. Emotions are big factor in gambling and trading but in gambling it will happen so fast so I will not have time to correct my bet but in trading, I have a chance to calm myself and then have a rational decision in my trade.

The reason why most people don't want to stop gambling and move to trading is that with gambling when they win they usually win large amounts of money but when it comes to trading, the profits are very small and it will take a time to get huge profits.

You can actually make huge money on doing trading but you would really need to risk big amounts specially on short trading which would really give the chance on making fast profits but nothing beats on gambling when it comes on instant money this is why most people do really love to play rather than on doing trading because they dont like to wait for too long.

First of all we should strong ourself and take decision to quit gambling and determination is enough to quit any bad thing and start any good things.

i consider these way had equal risk because starting trading with zero knowledge also will makes people losing their money too even faster and it's been human nature that people always be figure out the easier way to earning money and if we compare from both of these then gambling is easier than trading although the results will be unpredictable but they will back again to gamble because they are too lazy to learning from trading

I have seen many threads talking about the difference between trading and gambling , and most of the comments assume that trading is better
this is a big mistake , trading isn't easy at all but yeah some people are able to make money trading
in the other hand if you aren't experienced you may make horrible trades that may cost you over 1% , so sometimes gambling is better

also I always see people wanting to learn trading , not sure why they under estimate poker and sportsbetting

I quit gambling when I have the proof that trading is better than gambling. This happened last year when I'm still gambling with some of my BTC. I entered into an ICO and just put some BTC there without expecting any returns from it. To quit gambling you have to know what you want, either fun and disappointment or make money with trading and have a stress free experience?  AFAIK gambling is easy but will drain you of all your money and as for trading you might get a slow start to get a hang of it but once you learn it you will be laughing all the way to the bank

Choosing Trading over gambling does not make you have a stress free life at all, in fact it is the opposite as in gambling you can still feel fun and excitement. In trading you need to be serious at all times and let not take emotions takeover your decision making as it will be bad for you and your money. And you are right you can learn trading and be better at it over time but I wouldn't recommend you playing with your money.

If you meant gambling I disagree then, because it's not the type of activity you can do repetitively all the time. If you gamble with big amounts you will lose all of your money pretty soon, it may happen in one or even in couple hours actually. Gambling is not a way to make money, so trading can't be even compared to gambling in that regard.

To quit from something when we already had another plan to be done, should give us no issue at all. Just do the trading thing and soon or later we will be very busy with trading stuffs and things. Therefore we can forget our gambling activity.

In my opinion, basically changing the company of the gambler would be more effective than finding other activities for gambler because he would be still wishing to play gambling if he would be involved in other activities. For example, if the gambler goes out with his family for shopping, then during shopping he would be thinking that it was a good idea to bet one or two games than coming for shopping however changing company will change his mindset and lesser chance would be left of his return.

Absolutely right, we do quit anything when we have another better plan to be done. Same here in gambling and trading. We do trading and choose it becasue we know about it that we could earn from it and make money. But in gambling wise, sensible people think that gambling is for fun not a earning place, so better to choose trading.

We all know that gambling is like that, your making money and your loosing money at the sane time. To quit gambling is very difficult way for an addict person to dicide at once he/she needs amount of time to do it but we all see that trading more profitable in making money when you dont like to lose big amounts. For me you can quit gambling by controlling your self not to do it again because discipline is much more before than forgeting about it.

As long as there is a chance to quit then we should be willing to do it, the only way that would hindrance our change is when we are not being honest to ourselves, when we do not accept that we are addicted and we made mistakes in gambling. There is a reason why we need to quit gambling the soonest and there should be some sense of urgency coming from us because if we take it longer, the more damage it will make unto us.

The first thing you should do is realize that gambling can not give us a profit, we can only lose and can only make gambling as entertainment only. It is very difficult for us to bring profit from gambling, unless you have a casino business or gambling site. Why is gambling difficult to bring in profit? Because gambling takes good luck. To play gambling, people are required to surrender to luck, and not everyone wants to do it. Most people must be looking for something that is definitely working real or building a business. I agree that the chance is always there, only that a person doesn't wanted themselves to change their daily gambling routines,  and they always wanted lucky profit and don't think of the effect that has given by betting in extreme. Decide and be determined to quit gambling.  That is the best way to quit gambling and start trading.  Nothing beats determination if you are really truth to your cause.  I see people instantly change their ways once they decided and determined to change their ways.  At the end of the day it is your decision and only you can make or break it.  After quitting gambling, entering trading venture is easy though you need to learn the basic and learn in the long run.

I agree with you, strong determination is the key. But I want to warn people on this way, on the way quitting gambling in favor of trading, that trading also can be a disaster if you are doing things wrongly. Even after learning basics and even after some successful experience, like in gambling, you should never risk money you can't afford to lose or you can end up losing more with trading than with gambling.

Focus yourself on trading rather than gambling. The contents of the time you normally fill with gambling becomes by trading. When you gamble every day, then change by trading every day. When you remember to gamble, do trading.
 

Actually you can really do both because I assumed you don’t always gamble so you still have time in trading which is more profitable and lesser risk compare to gambling. Both are created with different purpose but one thing common is you can make money that will depend on your goal.

At least when you move your habit from gambling to trading you are free from the -EV.
Yeaa that thing makes you never have profit in the end , trading much better when it comes to making steady profit.
Try convince yourself that trading is more reliable source of income , do it everytime you feel in doubt.

It is true by managing your self on how you can control your self first most of all traders become gamblers and gamblers turns to traders it because they already got what they wantes in gambling and turn into trading they don’t want to lose their profit their made from gambling and those who are lose in trading they looking out it from gambling which they lose alot, don’t gambling everyday it makes you addicted change your hobby and olan for something good to start your tomorrow shine and bright in trading.

The problem is that those people that got stressed with trading and started gambling end up losing more than what they lost in trading. That's the usual case, since their mind is clouded from the losses they sustained in trading they end up doing stupid things like gambling to recoup their losses. Sadly, most of the time they lose more this way than they would have if they just kept on trading.

Anytime is good to quit even you don't start trading and for me quit in gambling is not good because you can win in some poker site here.Trading and gambling is both good even it's so risky to do,i think also the luck is one of the option in gambling to win but more on strategy to win,i always play gambling day by day to gain experience in any gambling site to win

At first I have always thought trading was like gambling. But now I see it is not the same.
Atleast with trading you have a relative choice in the outcome while with gambling you do not have a choice in that. It is up to fate really.
But with trading you can move your so called "chips" in a different path so to reach a different outcome.

That is just the best. Anyone that cannot make such a decision on their own will only end up doing a merry go round and then end up still coming back to gamble. Also, even in trading, for someone who does not have a strategy, it is more or less like gambling anyway and that is even a worst way to go about it.

Anyone who really wants to quit gambling to trade, will be able to do that on their own without being told, and it starts from the decision of learning how to trade and once they start trading, that gets them occupied as they keep making huge profit.

I'm not saying that gambling is better than trading in terms of making steady profit, but I think it should be clear that with trading steady profit, or any profit at all, is not guaranteed. For example, buying a very new coin, regardless of what developers of that coin state, is also like gambling in a way. No one can predict the outcome.

Honestly, the best way to quit your gambling addiction is to just do it. I've experienced something that's a little bit different but I think since they are both about discipline, I should talk about it. I used to sleep around 6AM every day and I knew for a fact that it was wrong to do so since I have classes around 7:30AM. There are days when I don't really sleep anymore and just go to school and let the day pass me. It went on for like a year. It's really wondering how am I still alive by now given that amount of lack of sleep. I just had a fked up sleeping schedule and that is something I have to fix. I'm addicted to using the computer during the midnight just because no one's around and the whole world is silent.

I think the same thing is happening to gamblers. They also tend to stay up late at night. I stay up late at night just watching youtube videos or browsing fresh and dank memes on various websites. It was an addiction, just like your gambling addiction.

What I did was I just stopped doing what I was doing. I just started to not do my addiction and then I started forcing myself to sleep at a certain time and be awake at a certain time regardless of how well my sleep was the last day. I think that you could apply it with your gambling problems. Just don't gamble and if you feel like gambling, distract yourself and always remind yourself that your time in this world is limited and you should be doing better things. Those better things have already found by you and that's a good start. You know that you want to start trading so that's a habit that you can replace your bad habit with.

Replace your gambling habit with trading habit and maybe even try to sleep better so you would be able to concentrate on learning how to trade during the day.

Self-confidence really does not have anything to do with gambling. It is just a matter of self-control and for those who really had it, and then they would not have been an addict in the first place.

I really do not know why everyone is trying to sugarcoat it for this guy. The best way to quit gambling and start trading is to quit it and start trading. What is so hard in that, that warrants asking questions about it again? Nevertheless, if the OP quits gambling, and started trading without learning, then he should best know that he is not done with gambling, because that action of trading without strategies? Is total gambling on its own.
