There's been a lot of discussions about spotting a good ico and differentiating between good icos and scams. I think the main things to remember are as follows:
1. Website. It's important for ICO to have a website and it should look impressive.
2. White paper and team. You should read the paper and info about the team to find out whether the ico is potentially legit.
3. Number of participants in ICO. I think that the more people trusted the ICO and invested in it the less risk it is for you.
4. Where there other projects like this? Is the idea truly innovative?
5. Is the goal of this ICO at least potentially achievable?

They are all risky. Don't get in for more than you can afford to lose. Do some research and when you find a couple you like put in what you can afford and then consider it gone. It went belly up. Don't worry about it and maybe in a few years you will have something special. Some will succeed , most will fail so don't worry about it and most likely you will be ok and maybe by Gods grace you will have a windfall.

First is to check there website.  Most ICO have their own website so you can check all the information needed.  Look for their whitepaper, check the press or ICO related sites that reviews ICOs, check their partners and or customer (also check the legitimacy of this companies).  Make sure their product are feasible in reality and that their product is innovative.  I recommend GLADIUS not just because I'm handling their signature but because they have everything I discussed above.

To find good ICO firstly learn about aim of the project in the white paper, is their project can to solved some problem, learn about personality and profesionalism of the team founder, and they should has strong community. From my point of view Envion ICO is one of them. On January 14 the ico will end. Already was invested 64 million dollars.The core business of this ICO will be the eco-powered mobile mining.

I buy a lot of tokens already on stock exchanges, now there are many good options to go to the market. You can buy COB or AST for example. Another REQ will grow.

Nevertheless, the nearest ICO in which I plan to participate is Arcblock. A good team and a strong project, I recommend to look at it.

I am going to side with Sether.io because they have a real group of people working on the coin and making the developments happen. A lot of the projects aren't doing that.

Icon and 0x project was the best ICOs in the near past. I would be so happy to find some new similar to these.

It’s not an easy way to choose good ICO.
You have to keep in mind some points; you have to check rating of this ICO on some famous ICO monitoring platform. But some time an ICO having good rating on platform didn’t deliver good result.
So I think it’s very important to read white paper which will give you clear picture & secondly you must check the team who is working for that ICO.
