Base on the current upward trend of bitcoin in recent time don't you think it is possible that bitcoin value will reach $10,000 in the nearest future? As for me I'm optimistic that bitcoin will reach $10,000 before end of December, 2017. And I believe that the sailing will start by November after Sewig2x. Do you agree with me?

Surely it will reach to K but I'm not sure whether it can happen in this year itself. I think after the fork bitcoin prices will correct to some extent before again move up.

The current events can make us think that bitcoins would even reach for 10,000$ for this year since bitcoins has been pump up today and this early pump will not be stop until the hardfok comes but I really don't know if the pump will continue or it will stable to 6000$-7000$ after the hard fork done. But on the other side november and january is somewhat a peak season for bitcoins and maybe we could see it pumping on that way.

No, I don't think so it will happen this year. Yes it will reach to $10,000 but maybe it happen next year. I would presume this year it will reach up to $7000. But we really don't know for sure. What I am sure about is that it will continue to rise as the years go by. :) So better hold bitcoins today and gain big profit tomorrow! :) Long live bitcoin!

10,000$ mark is definitely near to happen, but im not sure if its gonna be before the end of the year. Looking back at the previous hard fork that just happened where bitcoin doubled its price aftet fork, then it might possibly happen also in this coming hard fork. So the 6000$ might become 12000$ in the following months. Bitcoin demand is increasing and for this reason bitcoin price may also increase. There is other situation that might happen after the fork, possibly the bitcoin value will be stabled in the 6000$-10000$ mark. Whatever the situation will be, lets hope for a better future for bitcoin.

I hope so, but I don't think bitcoin price will hit $10K at the end of the year. Bitcoin price will go up steady and $10K is possible but not in short time. I have plan to dump all my coins if bitcoin price at $10K++.

Also, one key thing to reaching this level is that new people come on board to buy bitcoins - after all you do need new people to buy and use it to keep the price going up

Definitely, this is my thinking also that we will hit $10,000 by the end of the year although I don't think it will be a continuous rise until then, i think after the forks we will see a dip but ultimately we will get to $10,000 by year end.

I think it is not possible by December, it will take some more time to reach more than $10,000. If it suddenly increases already many big companies are saying it is just a bubble so move forward with other share markets. So it is always good for Bitcoin but it should not grow the value suddenly.

it is possible, but i think banks are buying bitcoin and i hate to say it but eventually they will have a negative impact on  crypto market prices.

It would be better if it didnt hit 10,000 this year but took more time.  The reason mainly is that price is built better on volume, distribution and as many people as possible involved.  Preferably bitcoin should be rising on trade and growth in utility, if price rises this year this month even to 10,000 then it was speculative and possibly excessive volatility which is basically destructive.   Its ironic, the higher price could cause more harm then good even if people believe they are profiting, the actual trade is what is important and contains the worth that backs the economy of use.

Its definitely possible even if not positive.   Price can rise very fast but its most unstable when doing so, I would prefer it spent 3 months at 5000 that alone is massively positive.   Anyone around btc for any time knows its already gained enough right now

Anything is possible but I think that chances of Bitcoin to reach 10000$ this year are very low. Bitcoin will show a tremendous rate of growth after hard fork for sure but I don't that the pump will be so big to take but ok to 10000$. It might reach around 7500$ by end of this year and it might reach 10000$ by end of next year.

Saw the price reached 5999 on Okcoin! 10k may be coning sooner than most people are currently anticipating.
Many people were pretty sire 10k+ was just around the corner in 2013's run, now it's nearly 2018 and price has yet to hit 10k even as btc starts slowly breaking into the mainstream.

That would be insane, mainly because of the fact that it would mean that this market has increased with 900% this year alone ~ such increases are mostly only seen when it comes to altcoins.

I am already happy if we manage to keep our position above the $5000 mark, because we still have November coming closer and closer. It's quite an important event that might potentially get the market to sink again.

Realistically speaking, I would like to see $10,000 happen next year. It would give the market enough time to get used to such levels ~ I always prefer a more stable growth over a short lasting peak.

Not until late next year in my opinion. There's no way we can keep this momentum up. It also coincides with the upcoming fork, so it's certainly possible for its value to stall after that.

A lot of the wall street people are thinking for a twice to invest in bitcoin and some of them already provided hundreds millions dollar to invest in the crypto. I think that should be possible in my opinion.

i honestly don't know what to think of that. it would be a dangerous territory and i can go as far as call it a big bubble.

this is why i say $10k this year is impossible. bitcoin is nothing like the pump and dump altcoins, you can't even pump it that high. the market is too big for things like that. there will be a big sell off if price reaches higher prices that this. also there needs to be some new money coming in. and so far i don't see that happening more than current trend.

I think BTC to 10k this year, although possible is highly unlikely. It is too far of a jump in my opinion from the 3k which we had only a few weeks ago. 10k more likely sometime in 2018.

Maybe 10k USD is too farfetched but 7k seems possible by the end of this year according to the current growth rate. But who knows , false news and rumors are enough to get prices of btc to fall.

I think a good part of the answer has to do with the reason(s) behind this crazy ~$1k increase in the last day.  If it's just because we made another ATH, then I think $10k is going to be pretty hard to hit.  But if a significant part of it is because people are hoarding to get extra forked coins, then I think $10k might be possible even within the next week or two.  While bitcoin requires significantly more money to increase its price than other cryptos, it all comes down to supply and demand.  If exchange supply shrinks (e.g., if people are hoarding), then increased demand (e.g., for extra forked coins) will lead to an even greater rise in price than normal.  And with all of the recent talk of big institutions (e.g., Goldman Sachs) entering the crypto sphere, the extra attention may be attracting more investors/money.

Maybe 7k or 8k, but $10.000 is not likely to happen. We need to understand that this sudden increase is happening because of the hard fork next month. Some people are desperate for the extra coins thanks to the fork and the demand is getting higher. But after the hard fork, we will probably see a correction on the price, it will dip and we'll see how the markets react. But 10k is very unlikely.

The user base keeps increasing as people are getting aware about it as well understands about the need of such a technology to the world. What has taken place from the starting of the year to the present day is big, if the same happens throughout the year reaching $10000 will take place shortly.

The $10000 speculation probably will happen by next year simple because bitcoin takes time for almost 10 months in the timeline before it reach the $5000 mark with the two months remaining for this year with some people don't know what is sewig2x is i believed maybe $7000 to $8000 is the nearest possible speculation. Lets just wait and see.

One cannot completely say yes or no as to whether Bitcoin will reach the height of $10,000 before end of the year. But I believe  $8,000 is a possibility before end of the year.

It's very possible, Bitcoin has doubled-up in much less than three months at least twice this year already.  I was ready to come in here and type how I don't think it will go to $10,000 by years end but I'm going to change my mind.  I think after the Bitcoin Gold fork, there will be a huge surge into Bitcoin because people are more pumped about the BT2X coin and there will be a lot of selling of Bitcoin Gold to buy into other alts instead of selling BTC.  That's just my theory though.

I was on YouTube last night and Richard Heart seems positive that BTC will go to $20,000 by years end because of some rule that will allowed BTC to be traded on Wall Street.  I've heard that one before so I take it with a grain of salt.  It doens't influence me either way because I'm not looking for short-term gains; I'm in it for the long-haul.

Yes we must see the rational price that can be achieved. If the current price of bitcoin is  5500 $ then further increases may range from 1000 $ to 2000 $ within 2 months. It will happen if there is no negative news about bitcoin. There must be a positive sentiment that can make the bitcoin price stable and also increase compared to now. Overall I am very confident that there will be a rise in bitcoin prices, it will happen and we all just wait until the time comes.

Bitcoin appreciate positively this past few days and it really amazing how its value almost reach $6000. I believe this grow will continue and bitcoin will still goes up but not to reach $10000 thats far enough to reality I guess...for this year it could reach $7000-8000...thats more likely to happen for me

That's true. It is really possible. And as of this moment, it is continuously increasing and getting more expensive knowing that it came from a hard downfall recently. The hardfork in November will be the key for this to happen. If it will succeed, the value of Bitcoin will again go skyrocket as what happened last month of august when the most recent fork, happened.

Probably, because $10K is hope all of us who invest in bitcoin. For me, today's value is already a tremendous blessing. Because with value as now, i can bring family finances into prosperity.

I have the similar opinion. The pump we see at the moment could last for a while, at least until the next fork in November and then probably the dump will follow. But I don't expect to be enormous or last for long, probably some slight correction. But it could cause panic selling. So for the 10000$ we should probably wait the next year.

I think $10k is a bit too much by the end of this year. I expect $10k by April 2018. I'd say $7000 would be good for the end of this year, though its certainly possibly it could go higher, but a stable price at $7000 would be great.

The price is increasing steadily day by day, even with high volatility rates there is high hope for bitcoin to least touch the 6,500 mark if not 10,000. It still has to become more popular to hold its price.Due to low supply the price can still go higher.

Yes the increase is happening is still very possible at all. this is visible from the increasing number of bitcoin users, now the price increases from 4,000 $ to 5800 $ which only happens about a month. of course this has proved that bitcoin is now one of the most sought after investments by people. I see the most optimal conditions for an increase is at the price of 7,000 $. but it is also possible that the price could reach 10,000 $  by the end of 2017. all possibilities can still happen because sometimes bitcoin shows miracles to all of us.

You cannot expect a miracle from bitcoin. I do not the first year already trying to figure out why the price increases and do not understand. The only explanation I find is that the bitcoin pumped their money whales. The only logical way of capitalization of the bitcoin is mining. But this is not enough for such price increases. What will happen to bitcoin if the whales agree with each other and withdraw their capital? I can't imagine life without bitcoin so that it could earn rather than buy.

Investment is driving the price higher.  People see the price going up and want to get on the bandwagon, so they buy in, too, and the price climbs even more.  It doesn't have anything to do with mining.  If anything, mining decreases the price as miners sell the bitcoin they mine to cover their costs.

It's possible that the upcoming forks are decreasing the available supply of bitcoins for sale as owners hoard their coins so they can get the extra coins when the forks happen.  Decreased supply makes it even easier for price to rise.

It is possible, but I am still confusing with that amount to reach by the end of the year since it is too huge to reach with just months. Maybe by next year with same Month would be possible. I think $6000 is possible to reach by bitcoin by the end of this year.

Looking like it really could be possible now, I certainly hope so any way. We have to just be patient and see what happejs, we might get a really nice surprise after the next fork.

Why $ 6000? Why not $ 10,000. I also think that in November the price of bitcoin may be very fall. It is logical to assume that whales can start to sell bitcoins at a high price and we will see a reduction. But I can't bring myself to sell bitcoins during growth. I must be very greedy for such solutions.

If the bull run will keep on going, it's very likely that Bitcoin will reach $10,000... but only in the next year. Because of SegWit2x, the market will be cautious in November, so there will be only December left for a next stage of the bull run, and without some streak of incredibly good news it's hard to imagine Bitcoin doubling in price in just one month. But something like $7,000 sounds more possible, since that would be around 38% gain from current price - but it would still require some awesome news like adoption by some big companies, legalization by governments, Lightning Network, etc.

I'm optimistic, but I don't think this will happen this year. I would expect it to reach $10k midway through next year the earliest. It's easy to assume that it will given our current bull run, but I don't think this is sustainable for a longer period. We're going to reach resistance at some point.

The situation is quite uncertain as anything could happen, it may reach 10000$ this year but I think it will hang up to 7000$. And the milestone of 10k is still too far, but I believe it would be achieved most probably in 2018... However, we still can't predict what surprises are awaiting after next hard fork.

$10000 this year would be too high? It might reach $7000-8000 in December but not over $9000. The price is now on a stable upward trend but a sudden increase of $1000-2000 within a month is really mind boggling.

Yes I think it is possible for bitcoin to reach $10000 this year and if the upcoming hard fork will have a good effect surely in few more weeks we will be heading $10000 I just wish I have some investment to hold so that I can earn good after this hard fork surely many are now keeping their coins and waiting for the pump.

In fact it is a little early for bitcoin price to reach to that level. although bitcoin price has the potential to reach to that level but i think that it will be possible in 2018, because currency the price of bitcoin is trading below 6000$ so crossing 4000$ poins in few months is really a difficult task for bitcoin.

I think its quite impossible for bitcoin to reach $10000 before the year end though it may increase in the past months but the fluctuations only move bitcoin little and not making the value double in an instant maybe next year its possible to reach $10000 but not this year.

Actually its very hard to predict what possible price of bitcoin before end of this year . 10k dollars for sure it will happen but we dont know when I think it will happen maybe next year. But as of now the price of bitcoin continue to increase and I think it will increase more in the next few weeks. You are probably correct with your prediction that Bitcoin might reach $10,000 within the year 2017. I am also optimistic about it. However, the sailing will not start in November. We are actually already setting the sail now and have in fact started going there. The month of October might end up seeing more than a $6,000 bitcoin.

I agree with you. I'am also looking forward that BTC will reach $10,000 by the end of this year. If that happen Im sure many of the bitcoin holder will exchange their coins into their local rate so that they could have a big income. And also if the BTC comes to that amount many people will encourage to join this community. And BTC will be known more in the world.

After Segwit2x, bitcoin can go either way so it is not still sure if it will reach $10,000 or not. If the agreed price of the traders will be $10k in the coming months then it is good but if it will not reach that amount then maybe there are some happenings that would still trigger the price to reach that amount. We just have to continue to support bitcoin whatever bitcoin it is and continue to earn it.

As long as there is no rumors / news that will try to hold the rate of bitcoin price movement continue leads to the altitude, most likely $10k will be achieved certainly this year. And if that has happened, it will probably be one of new history again for bitcoin price reached a very high value that has never been achieved from before. I personally can not be sure, but it's could be happened in this year, i just can only hoping about this.

I really think it is pretty impossible to say that this year we can reach the $100,000 mark value even if there are no bad comment and news hitting up on bitcoin because that ind of prediction and speculation is pretty too far to make an assumption that we can make it to that kind of value, basically we had reach the $5800 value then goes down again at $5600 mark, I really think there are resistance that involving in certain increase on the price.

Bitcoin reaching 10000 usd this year, i think it is possible, considering it all the factors.althat can affect bitcoin, is now on bitcoin's good side, though there are some controversies surrounding bitcoin still, we cannot deny the fact that bitcoin is rallying back. We are not sure on all we speculate here since there are so many instance that we need to consider but if bitcoins really come for that far then we must be happy for this events since  we can able to earn huge even though the the satoshi volume we held is so little. But before the 10000$ price triggered it must have a billions of dollars demands to reach for that price.

Speculation is bad but this is only option to take money from losers. It is the way to trasnfer money/wealth from idiot to smart. Emotions are same during all this market trends and speculative actions can fool other market participants.

It can happen as more people get into Bitcoin. When price goes up as much as it has gone lately, Bitcoin is advertised. More people tell their friends about Bitcoin, it gets more and more in the news... gets more attention and that means more people in and also more money in.

I think Bitcoin mostly gets its value when people replace part of their trust in cash with trust in Bitcoin. Cash represents goods in the world, so when cash moves into Bitcoin, bitcoin represents physical goods more and more.

It is too early for bitcoin to reach $10,000 by the end of the year. If it will reach the said price, it wouldn't be healthy for bitcoin market in the future after all, a sudden rise will certainly cause a tremendous downward trend in price. Some bitcoin holders tend to dump btc when price is high and bitcoin reaching even $6,000 is not an exception. Nevertheless, I won't deny the possibility of it reaching $10,000 before this year ends but I doubt it. The most achievable at the moment before the year ends is $6,000.

I'm also optimistic with the pricing of bitcoin and $10,000 we'll surely be hitting that in the future but right now I guess it's quite impossible to see that happening on December. But if it will be able to get into $8,000 next month before the hard fork on November happens then I'll give myself a good vibes and hope about it. But for now, I'm looking into it as stable at $5,000 this is a good optimism thinking.

It seems to me that people want bitcoin to be impossible. I doubt very much that this year we will approach the price of $ 10,000. A tenfold increase in prices over the year is too optimistic. I predict the price of about $ 6,000. You will agree with me this is also a very good result.

I think it's impossible to happen, bitcoin prices have risen quite high in this year maybe some bitcoin holders will sell their bitcoin long before the fork comes because they fear the bitcoin price is not able to survive after the fork.

It's good that you are optimistic but sorry to say that it's very impossible that we'll be reaching $10,000 this year even though we keep on saying that everything is possible to happen with bitcoin.

2 months time for reaching $10,000 is not enough and I guess we will see this then on 2018 but not for now.

Well, it is still a mere assumption which is bound to happen and may not happen before end of the year. There may be a serious decline in the market value of bitcoin especially as we draw close to November segwit2x exercise. There may be Panic sell just like what happen in August Except something else happen positively in favour of bitcoin.

I do not see this huge pattern continuing eventually. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying it won't still come up, but people are realizing that so many news are coming in the next few years that would make a whole lot of changes in the crypto world, most especially for bitcoin.

As people keep dumping due to price increase and there are some big players using that for their profit, gradually the attitude of dumping pretty much will subside. The volatility will still continue since we will have some market controllers and crypto traders, but will not be as huge as it is most especially for bearish trend and the bullish trend will continue on more adoption.

Since the beginning of time, a whole lot of people have been trying their best to make bitcoin impossible and they could just not make that possible. We cannot really say if this is going to be an attainable value before the year runs out but I can say it is still possible.

These top guys are seeing a fact, which is their inability to stop or manipulate bitcoin and everyone wants profit which is why they will rather join the game than being left out.

If this month could reach $ 6500, I'm very confident the $ 10,000 price will be achieved this year, this is because the use of bitcoin is getting massive and the japanese government is starting to legalize bitcoin.

What I think is that we are going to reach the 10.000 post on btc price prediction before the end of the year. I visit some stock market forum and at least there, people try to justify price predictions on some graphs, charts and stuff.

Most of those who get excited when btc hits an ATH, those who think of the next ATH and the next one, end up selling at a loss when the first dip comes.

The rapid increase in the price of Bitcoin has encouraged the hope of reaching it to $10,000 but one should also note that there will be definitely a decrease in the value after Bitcoin Gold and it will again take some time to climb towards $7,000. One can expect touching $8,000 by the end of the year, but $10,000 is very rare. Bitcoin may touch $10,000 in the coming year with regular growth and increase in demand but in less than 2.5 months it is quite hard to achieve maybe after Segwit2x there can a tremendous growth but it cannot cross $10,000 barrier for now.

Generally, to make forecasts for the future regarding the price of Bitcoin does not make much sense. Literally 10% of all can be dropped, and everything else is just empty words. If today Bitcoin broke its Maximum of $ 5,800, it could reach 6,000 next time.

I picked $8000 by the end of the year and I shared this in May 2017. We are slowly going there and my only concern is the SegWit2x/NO2X debate. That's the big if here

I agree that blowing through $5k was a great sign of higher prices to come, and that it could take time.  I think that the consolidation that we're seeing since the rally occurred is very healthy and sets the stage for another leg up.

But I'm not as sure as you are that the bitcoin gold fork will lead to a price drop.  If everyone dumps their forked coins for BTC, that could lead to a further increase in demand and thus price for BTC.

I would definitely say we have a good chance of pushing to that level, whether we head to that mark will depend on the result of forking and what occurs in the sphere. Relatively I feel we are in a position as a community to hit it whether the target will hit the bar in the next 3 months makes it a bit challenging but not far out of the possible target range.

The recent movement believes us that $10k is possible but I guess achieving it within this year is impossible, more possible next year but then expect the unexpected in btc. My guess was just between $6k to $8k this year.

The price falling again so this is just a normal price movement of bitcoin after the price went up high and was close to $6,000 but it wasn't able to break the wall. The decrease was quick, it was now at $5,379 so expect that we can reach up to $5,000 and even go lower at $4,000. And if this happens every trader will take the chance to buy a lot of it at dip and this will fuel again the price of bitcoin before the hard fork.

the most rational price may be in the range between 6K $ to 8K $.

We are hardly to reach $6000. right now the price of bitcoin is below $3500 so i think the price before this year end is approximately $7000 and then by the summer 2018 bitcoin could reach $10,000 this will happen if the bitcoin will be in demand that time. More news about bitcoin could attract felow investors so that's a good chance to pump the price of bitcoin. more users more price will increase more people who will sell their btc more btc price will fall.

The fork that will happen be sign of whether bitcoin will continue to climb or vice versa. Well, if it really supports to climb. I'm sure btc grows to $10K before it runs out this year.

It seems reaching 10,000 USD this year is possible now because the SegWit2x hardfork was closed earlier due to lack of support. This might be the fuel for Bitcoin since most people are afraid of forks. And since it was cancelled, investors and users are having no doubts about buying more Bitcoins. This is a good sign for Bitcoin. 10,000 might get sooner than we anticipated.

Segwits produces fud that makes newbies and some investors afraid that's why they cashout their coins,but to think of it those segwit can be a help for enhancing services when the operation success ,but no matter what its good to see that btc price keeps on increasing.

Nothing for sure, possibly yes, but the best that I expected is $8000 by the end of the year, maybe less than $8k I guess.
There's no any trigger to influence people to buy bitcoin, due to 2x hard fork suspended. But, trend of the end of the year is; buy more bitcoin, it's repeated every year. Bitcoin price keep fluctuate but seems stay above $7000 at the moment. Maybe a little bit correction and continue to rise as the way it is.

In recent times the bitcoin growth is very high two months before the price was around $ 4000 but today its like $ 7300 so i think due to its rapid growth sure it will hit $ 10000 by end of this year.

How come that 2x is still alive? Isn't that cancelled already? or just because of this bitcoin2x.org you are saying it's still alive? $10,000 for this year isn't going to happen, bitcoin can't even push $8,000 for now but it can possibly happen this month or maybe after 2017. But still, its market value is possible to be more expensive since the demand is getting higher each day. I do believe that before this year end, it will be able to reach a market value of 10000$. I think, support to reach $10K still strong. Therefore, still many holders btc still survive not to sell. And vice versa, demand on bitcoin keeps growing. It's possible for this december to happen.

Their is some possibility for that to happen.Since the price raise of Bitcoin on upper hand.After the Segwit 2x the price of bitcoin will start to raise again.Before the fork the price of bitcoin will reach the value of 8000$ and then followed by the next level 9k$ and then 10k$.

I think, for year 2017 bitcoin can't get past $10K line. But maybe, early 2018 maybe potential to happen. By end the year, btc maybe in range $8K.

Maybe if it measures from bitcoin value now, close enough to touch $10K. However, character bitcoin holders is different. Some sell also some buy. I think, for this year bitcoin only able to touch $9,5K.

yeah i think the rise we have seen uptill now is so quick that we can imagine that there are very much chances for itt to reach that price at the end of this month. i think this year as whole is happens to be really promising for btc as well as other altcoins. the growth of most of the coins along with btc like litecoin, dash or neo and bitcoin cash the persentage of growth as a whole is more than 500x and this year is very much in favour of bitcoin and whole crypto currencies.

Bitcoin possible become 10k dollars before end of this yeat 2017. But as of now the price of bitcoin continue to decrease and the price at this moment is 6400 dollars from 7k dollars last few days ago and i hope it will recover again as soon as possible.

Nope, bitcoin now was fall down of value, so I don't think if they have a capacity to reach $10,000 for now. Even bitcoin was in demand to the market I think for now they can't achieve it, maybe next year or next next year it is possible.
