Title: Best Coin to mine with PC
Post by: BitcoinFrik on October 14, 2017, 07:22:29 PM
Hello guys,

What would be the best coin to mine with your personal PC? I mean, I want to keep my PC to mine a few hours every day and get some coins with potential and a solid project, but a low difficulty level in mining. Any ideas?

CrytpoNight can be minned with CPUs. Check Aeon it uses some lite version of CryptoNight. Don't expect any solid profits though.

It depends on your GPU.
Mostly, just try XMR mining with your cpu.

You really can mining this currency with your computer but I'm not sure that it will be profitable. I tried to do it on my comp. I didn't need coins but I was interested to see the process. My 4 core processor AMD and GPU mined each for 18 cents a day. Together they produced 36-42 cents. Probably electricity to power the computer worth more.

If you have a multiple GPUs with the riser you will be able to get the profit easily. You cannot be able to do mining bitcoin with the GPU as it is profit concerned with the PC mining. There are many people mining with the GPU but mostly ETH and Monero choosy for them. As marketplace value changes more on Monero you can choose this coin to mine with your computer and graphic cards.

Yes.Mining in PC also profitable only if you make use of Graphic Cards. You can try of 6 GPU set up with the PC for profit. I tried this, it's profitable only. But need to use of Solar panels for Electricity and cooler for cool the device. You can Mine ETH in PC mining for profit.

A cheap way to go on electricity is to get Solar panel. You can even fabricate yours. Do some research on it too. It would save you a lot of money on the long run.

Don't expect to earn much if you aren't planning to keep it running 24/7. You haven't even posted your PC's specifications to make any reasonable judgement. However, you could choose a few low difficulty or new coins that might look promising, accumulate as many as you can and then hope for their price to spike at a great degree to earn a large profit.

Have a look at the following website, it contains a variety of coins, their value and difficulty and so on : http://www.cryptocoinsinfo.com/

maybe just try to mine some new coins, get some of them to your wallet as there is not much traffic on the net, and just hodl them... one way to deal with it... maybe one coin grows strong, but 99% wont :)

or stick to cryptonight coins like XMR (Monero)

Does the difficulty being low help with CPU mining?

I've been using minergate to mine Monero and it's take a month and haven't gotten close to a full monero..

I agree, I'm also using minergate for almost 3 months now I think but my earnings is only 0.0007 xmr now. Mining with cpu will really not give us good amount :( Better to mine using gpu and high end devices.

I have tried monero mining on my pc with minergate, minergate taking only 1% commission which is quite impressive, but i have no such high quality CPU or GPU to make profit and if i try this then it takes at least 2 - 3 years for a monero. If i will buy it then definitely it will be cheap for me. Mining is only profitable for big miner who have Gh/mh/th/ph hashing power.

Cryptocurrencies have grow to be a sizzling potato for economists and authorities officers alike since they have been first launched to us again in 2009 via BitCoin, which as much as this present day stays essentially the most recognizable cryptocurrency among the many 10 most popular cryptocurrencies in circulation today. Researching for the 6 best coins to mine on a standard laptop isn't a easy activity to do, as cryptocurrencies are an especially versatile and unreliable asset.

Monero still is the best coin to mine using your CPU but if you are looking for profits then forget about it. All CryptoNight coin can be mined using CPU, better search for an AltCoin with that source (a newly lunch coin) and pray for your luck

I'd argue that there is NO CPU mineable coin because you will eventually ruin your CPU mining at extreme loads and high temperatures.

But, to answer your question, i'd say go mine Monero. It's easy to configure Monero miners and price is just enough to be decently profitable. Good luck!

If it would be so easy to mine coins it wouldn't contain any real value.. Otherwise it makes no sense.

yeah it's not like the good old days
And regarding Monero, I'd say that you are on point. Although the profits won't be anywhere near satisfactory you could potentially make a small amount of money

I agree with BlomBaster if you are not familiar with mining and setups and all that stuff just use nicehash when you want and see if you can get few bucks from that... otherwise you could mine some eth, xmr or vtc :) in my opinion only coins worth while for now.

Now antminer s9 is the best specification contains ASIC bitcoin miner. This will give you highest income you can get from the other miner machines available in online now.
Avalon, Asus are other companies have machines to mine bitcoin but you to check according to your investment ability you can invest to it.
Other than that electricity is the main thing you have to invest which is not controllable, check the mining calc to what you can make.

The only option for mining at low capacities is to monitor all new coins and try to start the mine one of the first. When the community assess (or not) the project and attract more people to the mining, the complexity will increase and your capacity will not be enough, but you will have the first profit.

I think, the easiest way - using nicehash. I have got 1060 3 gb / i5-6400, it produces 2-2.5 usd/day. Also, i'm not mine 24/7, i use computer for other tasks. That's my small experiment in mining, maybe i'll construct a rig in the future.

Honestly, I'd check out whattomine.com and then from there do research on which ones offer the best CPU mining algorithms unless you have a nice GPU also, which that website is good for too.

It's not easy, but look up the hashrate for your CPU and GPU. Best of luck!

ETN, BCN, XMR but depend on your PC spec. Especially, XMR has diff too high for PC with a standard spec. Personally, I don't suggest PC without GPUs to mining. But you can try those coins if indeed curious.

Bitcoin prices are now very high and make bitcoin more tempting to be mined. Mining bitcoin with its own devices can be done with miner / miner equipment that has been finished and the device itself (PC). Bitcoin mining processes are done by: Having wallet / wallet to accommodate bitcoin minerals, listing in pool / mine site one of them in slushpool. Download the bitcoin mine software.

Some of the lesser-known coins do have much lower system requirements. Like Evergreencoin (EGC) which uses a hybrid POW and POS system. One won't make big money from mining like with the popular coins (provided that you discover blocks often enough). And you'd need to also own and stake these coins. But it does provide some reward for those who help support the coin by running a node on their laptop/desktop.

By the way, I'm running EGC and Navcoin nodes on a humble 10-year-old Dell laptop. While using it for browsing and word-processing. Every so often, my laptop would successfully discover a block and I'd get a small reward. But it's being involved and contributing to a coin and its community that's my main objective here.

The diff will rise as you mine, if you are hitting the blocks and you need to grab a new coin.  Also, there may be miners on other sites or pools and you are just not having any luck.  It takes some information scanning and some time, but that is the best way to pick an individual coin.

You cannot mine “one coin” of a crypto. When mining your computer is doing complex math in an attempt to solve an algorithm BEFORE every other computer on Earth does the same math. The winner of that competition gets one BLOCK of coins

are you mean is solo mining?, if yes surely can very long to be the winner unless there is having the luck factor.

if it means is joining to the Pool, it doesn't solve the block but you getting a reward from your the hash rate to share in the Pool.
