Title: What about Bitcoin gold??
Post by: moooonu on October 15, 2017, 01:13:32 PM
As we all know another fork is coming. What do you guys think will it be successful like Bitcoin cash or it will be a waste of time?

Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Cash are not serious threats for Bitcoin and I don't believe they will have any significant effect on the long term on the echo-system. However, forks have the advantage of forcing open debates around serious issues.

well the ones who have many btc in their holdings are the ones who will get benefits from it. because as of now my balance is 0.000001 btc in my wallet and the only thing I am focusing right now is earning some btc to fill my wallet and pay for my bills. Never the less bitcoin gold will be beneficial if you have a fair amount of it and based on what happened before with bitcoincash the price of btc will be affected for only a short amount of time and it will go back to normal or even higher.

Exactly what about it? It's just another forkcoin of Bitcoin with developers that don't even come close to Bitcoin. It'll have poor security and there will probably be bugs like all the others.

It's highly advertised but the team is not as professional as bitcoincash, they haven't yet made many things clear and there is no wallet. I don't think they'll make any difference.

More than 50% of the miners support Bitcoingold. In theory after separation, large investors are beginning to buy gold. I hope this does not significantly affect the classic BTC and other Altcoin. The market has its own rules, we must adapt to them. 8)

Yes, in order to earn with the crypto currency you need to be able to adapt to the market. I think for those who have a lot of money this will not be difficult, but I'm a little worried that the price of bitcoin may decrease.

I guess we do not have to worry about forkcoin of bitcoin, it will not be easy to make a coin to compete with bitcoin, they will have their own spot market, we just need to follow it, if it is profitable, why not?

There is no need to pay much attention to BTC Gold at the current prices suggesting that investors always choose BTC. Not only that, BTC is supported by many countries and big corporations around the world. I think just focusing on BTC is okay

Highly doubt Bitcoin Gold will be successful.  It's a totally different situation than BCH.
First off, the vast majority in the crypto world aren't behind it or even actively rejecting it.
Really only big time miners think it's a good idea.

The second thing is, there is no relay protection so it is not guaranteed that you will get a 1 btc = 1 bitcoin gold.
Bitcoin cash had it all set up so they can coexist and a system in place that was reached by general consensus.
This fork is more hostile, like it wants to become THE Bitcoin.

And lastly, the more people try to fork BTC the more the community will be tired of it.
Decentralized means we control BTC and if we are tired of these forks than they will just fade into obscurity.

Bitcoin gold is another opportunity for people to get free  money from a Bitcoin fork. First Bitcoin then Bitcoin cash and now in the making Bitcoin gold. The great attraction is the  giving out equivalent amount of  BTC to BTC gold on the 25th October to BTC owners. For now there is non comparable to the king of crypto currencies Bitcoin.

U miss chance to get Bitcoin cash Now second opportunity Bitcoin gold i s coming in 25. if u have Bitcoin balance in Exchange u get Bitcoin gold same quintet after u can sale ur bitcoin. Bitcoin Gold same bitcoin cash some days pumping coin my opinion we can earn big amount in short term but this is all depend of buying rate. Bitcoin gold is not comparable with bitcoin this is only short time pumping coin.

Since Bitcoin is also created by gold to be able to be mined and on computers with a relatively small card capacity, it will start producing it very actively. In advance, it is difficult to say how successful it will be. However, already that it will get to the owners of bitcoins completely free of charge and will cost more than the most expensive of altcoyins, this already makes it at an early stage very attractive.

People are looking forward to it. Since, you know, just like bitcoincash, easy money.
I think it won't be any different from bitcoincash, tho. As for the price I think it will be just the same as bitcoin cash.
But who knows, right? It might be more expensive or the other way around.

Bitcoin gold will be just another altcoin created, and I am expecting those who'll receive their free coin would most likely sell their coins once they get a hold of it. We will just have to wait and see what will happen and how much will this altcoin cost once it is out.

From the appearance on the market of a new coin - Bitcoin Gold, which should separate from the classic bitcoin on October 25, I think it will not be worse. The market of crypto currency will become more diverse and more interesting. Nobody knows how this new coin will behave. Apparently, it will be in great demand among the miners.

We heard that bitcoin gold will gonna launch on october 25.Bitcoin gold is brainchild of bitcoin the main reason of launching BTG is to make BTG more valuable than BTC.I think the value of bitcoin gold will be 0.01BTC.Bitcoin Gold is another hard fork that will bring some changes to the ecosystem.

Definitely. Bitcoin gold will just be the same as bitcoin cash, it's another altcoin that airdropped during hard fork.
Honestly I want to hold bitcoin gold when I receive it to see how far it will go in the market and see if it's just will be another shitcoin that will listed in the market.

If that would be waste of time people would not sell their alts to buy bitcoin. Bitcoin's price is raising, but not falling as before the previouse fork, to me it means that people are preparing. So I can conclude that bitcoin gold is going to worth something nice. :)

Surely it will good impact to users but for developers, it is not decided if all agrees are BTC gold hardfork was signed after some voting. We just have to wait for the outcome of their meeting. Their a lot of mixed reaction for the miners because rejecting old blocks might be a lose of their profit and their is really no concrete date on when is the realese but i hope it will come soon. Even if btc gold will come out. It is still normal trading depending on what site you are using.

i think bitcoin gold is like bitcoin cash that already launch several weeks ago and i think the price is not too far like bitcoin cash. but i am not really sure with bitcoin gold because i don't know anything about this coins. i only hope that bitcoin gold can help me to make another profit like what bitcoin cash give to me. but if i see the splitting that said 11:1 then i don't think that the price is like bitcoin cash, because in bitcoin cash, we can get 1:1 so the price can increase high when the first time launched. i think we need to take a look in that day and see what will happen.

It will be like bitcoin cash. It will always be a success guys. But it is dependent to you if you wanted to participate. If you wanted to sell all your alts and make it into bitcoin and store it to make bitcoin cash. Then go. But I am telling you that it will be hard for you to do. Sometimes we can only take a small amount of profit from segwit. So your choice.

I don't know about the coin yet, but the team seems less congruent than on the other fork which makes me feel like it could be a big miss. I hope I'm wrong since I think it's good to have different coins and options competing freely in the market but so far, I'm not so excited about this fork.

I believe BTC gold will have it's ideas, but in the end it will be another copy of the original BTC, therefore I think it won't sustain for long. If it isnt adopted enough it will have the fate of BTC cash, that once was around 700$ and now is slowly decreasing, maybe because the whales that launched it stopped supplying this coins.  But this is all predictions, and we will know for sure only after the fork happens!

Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Cash are not serious threats for Bitcoin and I don't believe they will have any significant effect on the long term on the echo-system. However, forks have the advantage of forcing open debates around serious issues.
The reviews I read about like this '' On Tuesday 1st August 2017, a fork takes place in the Bitcoin network causing the formation of two blockchains.
BCH prices will vary and fluctuate independently or separately from BTC prices. For example, BTC 1.0 could be worth $ 2500 and BCH 1.0 is worth $ 500.

Bitcoin remains no 1 and will not get shifted ;D

It will not be easy to make another coin compete with bitcoin, because of course they will have their own market, we just need to follow it, what we need to look for is an opportunity to profit from each type of coin. So I do not think to worry about any new coins.

It doesn't look like bitcoingold will be listed on a single exchange - which means that it's dead on arrival.

I think lots of people are confused between bitcoingold (which looks like a scam) and the segwit2x fork which will come in November (which the exchanges are taking seriously).

I wont be surprised if Jack Liao and the other developers listed on their official site will be the first to dump their BCG for BTC. ;D The fact remains that this was not necessary, but it is good they have decided to help us increase our number of bitcoins, so I really don't have anything against them. Free alt coin is never a waste of time regardless of the price it will be displaying after the fork we can still earn from it. And even it will cost some satoshi's still that's profit. We don't have to be greedy and tell it that it's just a waste of time but later on when you see the price of it is quite at good hand just like the same thing with bitcoin cash, I knew it that you'll be happy to sell those golds.

Just the basic truth. There is absolutely no support for it by the community and it is just a coin that was not even meant to be in existence but it is a free world of free coins and if someone kinda wish they want to fork out since they have the resources, good for them but I am sure even the team knows it is going to be a fucked up coin, no wonder they did not update their site very early.

Well it will not be a waste of time. By this fork, people will get free Bitcoin Gold so those who have more Bitcoins are more lucky to collect free BTC gold.
Also The price of bitcoin is rising as we are approaching the hardfork date of  October 25. All in all this fork is good for the people holding the bitcoins.

I think this time the hard fork will be more smooth as there is no fear of what will happen, like there was before in BCC time.

Obviously just another waste of time and the whole fork will happen the same way we had the bitcoin cash.
Huge dumps of the coin will definitely happen once it arrives and hopefully they might have resources to try to pump it like BCC dudes did, but who knows? Like someone said, Fu*k all forked chains.

It seems altcoin industry is heading toward the trend of forked coins rather than creating new conceptual coins. I am not seeing this as a good improvement for altcoins industry.

Bitcoin's 2nd fork (Bitcoin Gold) will be out soon but we can't conclude it will be a waste of time because when Bitcoin Cash was introduced last a couple of months ago it was a hit and even stable a bit up to this moment. And I'm sure this another fork will be ok but many of us will not be surprised since forks isn't a threat for Bitcoin. Developers tend to create new features of the blockchain and this new fork would bring another level of features so I know many of us will be excited and we'll wait and observe what's really the possible effect or contribution to blockchain ecosystem.

First off bitcoin cash is not successful. Okay now that is out of the way lets address bitcoingold. I think it is a trash fork with no other reason than people being greedy and proof of this is the premine that apparently was done

prior to the fork. Couple that with the fact there is no real reason to do this fork because the real bitcoin solved its problems just now then your left with a useless coin. To sum up bitcoingold seems like a trashcan to me

That is very true, we saw what happened to bitcoin cash, it wasnt taken seriously and after bitcoin gold it will also be considered as a shit coin, bitcoin gold will also be useless just like bcc, if all these forks keep coming because people want more money and power bitcoin will only rise, these forks should stop immediately because they have no value and bitcoin will be number one.

Is another fork of the original bitcoin blockchain, but unlike the original bitcoin and bitcoin cash will be optimized in order to be mineable better with gpus. For me this is very important and only this make it better than original bitcoin.

Maybe waste of time for the long term. But its still free instant money so not too bad in my opinion :)

yes i agree with you.
i was late to sell my bitcoin cash after price got down.
this time i'll sell bitcoin gold as soon as it release.
That's a correct deicision because the bitcoin can be a important example about you must try to sell your bitcoin gold as fast as posible before the market will get hammer in the future and try to buy back at the low price again;.

Yes I think it will be successful like Bitcoin Cash.
Because the payment is done immediately after working here.
The more time you give here, the more profitable it is for you. The reason is just to work and work.

So the fork happened. Now we wait for the actual coins. Then some serious dump - pump - dump  ;D

As we all know another fork is coming. What do you guys think will it be successful like Bitcoin cash or it will be a waste of time?

I don't think bitcoin cash is successful it will get dumped as soon as people get their coins. For bitcoins holder these are the just free coins lots of people don't want to hold it so bitcoin gold can never be successful.

They don't have any official document on how to claim bitcoin gold and their website is down too. How can this coin will be successful?

In shot, for me bitcoin gold or as a matter of fact any other fork that comes out of bitcoin such as bitcoin cash are nothing but shit coins. So instead of trying to get my hands on this gold thing, i am buying the alt blood.

If any of you had BTC on Xapo wallet, you should have received your BTG.
They added a new wallet there.

as for me BCG really does not satisfy the range of attributes of a forked currency

I am not sure about BTG, anonymous dev with a controversial founder. The premine sounds really dodgy. Not sure it will be a real contender comparing to BCC let alone 2X fork.

I think, bitcoin gold and bitcoin cash are almost the same, not too popular without great effect in the crypto currency. It is just an ordinary coin that will reflect in the market.

Yeah there are lots of fork that is coming. So I think that fork will be a successful one but not like Bitcoin does. It's not a waste of time but I'm sure i't can't go higher or equal to Bitcoin.

Yes, I think it will be successful like Bitcoin Cash. If you have a good experience with Bitcoin, then it should be given a little 1-2 hours daily.

I disagree. Personally i feel like that the whole project is meaningless.

There are already multiple attempts at making coins ASIC resistant(Vertcoin, litecoin, etc. etc.) and their fork's main selling point seems to be people will only be able to mine with GPUs and not ASICs.

Also, if you do a little research, you'll see that they have some shady pasts. Also project has nowhere near the amount of trading volume as bitcoin cash.

Specifically  I don't  think it would be huge success  unlike bitcoin does, the problem lies here is many speculation about bitcoin gold are mumming that it is a scam.
